Neb: I do not own Ducktales. Fun stuff, Louie and Scrooge run into Gosalyn and Drake Mallard back at a cursed island, while hunting a star map. Steal Beak and the mercenaries of Duckberg were hired by an unknown individual to steal it before them. Meanwhile Huey who will be the focus of this chapter is hiding in his room pretending to be sick. Della as a mother is obviously worried about him. Meanwhile Dewey and Webby had lost a fight against the new Duck in town. There is more to come, and honesly I've been updating these chapters like there's no tomorrow. Probably because I keep rotating main characters which keeps the story fresh to me. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy.
Huey was laying in his bed while hiding his head under his pillow. He made it through the stages of panic and disgust, but now he's battling with his inner demons.
"He humiliated us," the Duke growled inside Huey's mind.
"Stay calm," Huey muttered allowed.
"Say that in here," the Duke pointed out. "You don't want people thinking your crazy."
"I have gone crazy," Huey spoke up. Not caring what people think about him anymore. "My life is over."
"No, we just need old fashion revenge," the Duke argued. "I want to make a mess."
"And I want to roll over and die," Huey continued to mutter. "I should have stuck around the comic book store so Lena could kill me."
"She seemed more surprised then angry," The Duke pointed out. "That doesn't matter though, losing a card game is one thing, but that preteen actively attempted to embarrass us in front of our friends and family. We can't let him get away with that. If you want to die, that's fine, but give me control."
Huey grabbed onto his head as he curled up into a ball. His eyes were turning red because the Duke of Making a Mess wanted to escape the inner walls of his mind. "We agreed to work together."
"Then work with me already!"
"Honey," Della spoke up as she knocked on Huey's door. She opened it and saw curled up into a ball grabbing onto his head. "It must be serious. I brought alphabet soup. Because I know how my Jet loves words and letters."
"Th-thanks mom," Huey responded the best he could. "But I'm not hungry right now."
"Oh, well we can't have it getting cold," Della pushed. She sat on the bed next to him and wrapped a blanket around her son. She felt his forehead as well, but didn't feel a fever or anything. "Is everything ok honey? You were doing great earlier today. You earned the Rock Climbing Badge and made second place at the Duck Calling tournament. Though, the guy who played against you must have cheated. Because all of my kids are number one."
"He played a fair game," Huey sat up. "He was just a jerk."
"He is? What did he say? I'll ring his neck out!"
"Calm down mom," Huey grabbed her. "I.. thank you for the soup. I'm just dealing with stuff right now."
"Well if you ever want to talk, I'm always here."
"I'm sorry I made you miss out on the adventure."
"Your my adventure," Della smiled, repeating the words of her brother. "Besides, Dewey and Webby decided not to go anyways, so I or Mrs. Beakley would have stayed behind anyways."
"Why did they not go?", Huey wondered.
"They were going to Violet's house I'm pretty sure," Della remembered. "I wish they notified me a couple days in advanced, but kids will be kids."
"Webby and Violet cares about scheduling as much as you do," The Duke pointed out. "They're probably trying to get revenge. It should be us out there!"
Huey ignored his inner thoughts. He started eating the soup nervously as he avoided his mothers gaze. This of course looked more suspicious which caused Huey to start sweating rapidly.
"Do you know something?", Della wondered.
"Me, no, just enjoying the soup!"
"I'm going to call Violet's parents?"
Huey started rapidly coughing to pull the attention back on himself.
"Are you ok?", Della gasped. "I'm sure we have cough drops around here somewhere."
Huey sighed in relief when she was gone and then went to the phone. He needed to call Violet to make sure that Dewey and Webby was with her. The phone rang and then it clicked.
"Hello," came from the other like and Huey dropped the phone. It wasn't Violet or her dads that answered, it was Lena. "Who is it?"
Huey gulped before picking up the phone. He wanted to apologize but the words weren't coming out. He sighed as he heard the phone hang up.
"You make me sick," The Duke facepalmed.
