Neb: Huey had been Kidnapped, Louie had learned Albert's motivations. A lot has happened, but let's move back to Dewey, as he and Webby make their move towards the The Lost City of Caesars, a city of Gold. What will the Duck family do when they find out Huey had been kidnapped? I do not own Ducktales.

The group of Ducks had been in hiking around the misty jungle for hours, but eventually Scrooge, Della, Dewey, and Webby had come across a clearing. As they looked through the clearing. The City was vast, ancient, golden, and most of all abandoned.

"Guess no one will miss the gold then," Scrooge pointed out as they headed towards the city.

"Man I was hoping there would be locals to talk to," Webby sighed.

"I know right," Della responded with the same dissatisfaction.

"I wonder what happened here?", Dewey wondered as they entered the City. There were several pits that had formed all over the city, that looked like they went deep. There were also large spider webs all over the city towers as well.

"Stay vigilante everyone," Scrooge pointed out. "We could be dealing with monstrous spiders."

"Or this place could have just been abandoned for a long time," Della figured.

"I was expecting more of a run in with local natives," Webby admitted. "Maybe the undead or giants."

"Giants?", Dewey questioned.

"Lots of cultures had them," Webby shrugged. "The Patagon were said to inhabit this area, a group of giants that were twice the size of normal humans."

"She really does know her stuff," Della admitted.

"Oh that was just some light reading with Violet," Webby waved it away.

"Light reading and Violet does not go in a sentence together," Dewey pointed out as he moved to touch one of the webs. He could swear behind that web was someone's shadow.

Scrooge grabbed his hand before he did and then pulled him away. "Have you not seen any spider story lad? You don't go messing with their webs."

"Sorry, I just thought I saw something back there," Dewey explained.

"What did you see?", Della wondered as she headed to them.

Dewey looked back at the web and saw the shadow was gone. "Nothing I guess."

"Strange lad," Scrooge sighed as he rubbed the tip of his beak. "Let's keep moving then."

"I mean the gold is everywhere," Della pointed out. "She we start pocketing stuff now?"

"We don't know if it's cursed or not," Scrooge shook his head. "We need to learn more about this place before we take anything."

"I understand caution, but the whole reason we came here was to find the gold," Della groaned. "It's right there, let's take it!"

"Don't raise your voice at me young lady," Scrooge grunted. "I'm only prioritizing our safety first."

"She sounds like Louie now," Webby pointed out. "Is everything ok Della?"

"I told you guys already," Della groaned. "We need this money to find the missing pilots."

"It won't be any good to us if it's cursed," Scrooge argued. "And we won't be any good to them if we are dead. Your own son is here lass, please lead a better example."

"Says the guy who never told me, that people were lost trying to find me!"

"We were always on the move since you got back," Scrooge argued. "How could I explain to you what had happened while we were fighting Moonlanders, or F.O.W.L."

"There was time in between," Della pouted.

"There was not," Scrooge growled. "Are you daft?"

While Della and Scrooge were arguing Dewey looked back at the spot where he saw the shadow. He squinted a moment to find a little girl crying behind the webs. "Um guys?" Dewey saw Webby was busy trying to break up a fight while Della and Scrooge were busy mouthing off at each other. He rolled his eyes before breaking apart the web and heading towards the girl.

"How could they leave?", the girl cried.

"You're parents?", Dewey wondered. "Are you lost here, or a local?" The girl didn't take notice of him, which somewhat upset him. "Hey, I'm trying to help." Dewey moved closer to her as she continued to cry.

"Where's Dewey," Webby wondered.

The group turned their heads to see Dewey heading past the spider webs down an alleyway. "Dewey," they all yelled.

Dewey reached out towards the girl and she turned around with pitch black eyes letting out a horrific wale.

"They left me," she screeched.

Dewey fell back afraid as the ghoulish girl begun to hover above him.

"They should have never left!"

"I'm not responsible for that," Dewey yelled before he was dragged back by Della.

"Run," Scrooge ordered as the four of them bolted the other direction.

The ghost girl begun to fly after their group, continuing to wale and screech. Other ghosts just like her emerged from the ancient buildings.

"Well it wasn't spiders," Webby realized. "But what was making the pits?"

The group continued to run as the sun began to set.

"The sun is setting, we can find another portal out of here with the Star Chart," Scrooge figured.

"What about the gold?", Della argued. "What about my plane?"

"We weren't ready for this mission," Scrooge explained. "I don't have any ways of fighting off ghosts."

"I think I might know how to stop them," Webby figured.

The group turned to her. "You do?"

"Gee, don't sound so surprised," Webby scoffed. "I've only been studying the paranormal since I was three."

"Sorry," Dewey groaned. "How do we stop the ghosts?"

"A haunting of this level is usually because they are bound to a singular artifact," Webby explained. "One that holds an immense amount of power. Usually it's a golden medallion centered in a treasure room or a throne room."

"Right, but it would be in an area where the sun is touching it," Della pointed out. "Probably the very top of the palace."

"If we go up there we'll be cornered on all sides," Scrooge pointed out.

"Guys I'm already climbing," Dewey pointed out.

"W-what how'd you get up there so quickly," Scrooge yelled.

The group were chased towards the center of the palace where the largest of all the buildings was. Dewey was already two stories up on that building as he was climbing it's golden walls."

"Don't worry about that," Della decided. "Start following him."

The rest of the group followed Dewey's lead as they each begun to climb away from the ghostly ghouls.

Webby kept track of the sky as they climbed, she knew the majority of the ghosts would be hovering over what it was that tethered them to this plane of existence. Just as she figured, there was a golden staff with a bird claw holding onto a black skull gem sticking out of the top of the golden tower. "That staff must be it."

"I'm headed to it," Dewey shouted back as he started hopping from brick to brick instead of climbing them. Blocking Dewey's path suddenly was the crying little girl.

"Why did they leave me?", she screeched before flying at him.

"Why do you keep asking me?", Dewey yelled back before getting shoved off the building by the ghost girl. He screamed as he fell, but was caught by Della who was just below him.

"I got you Dewey," Della assured as she held onto him.

"It's not fair," the ghost girl whined before meeting up with the rest of the swarm. The horde of ghosts were all forming a vortex together as they got ready for their next attack.

"Hurry, someone has to get that relic," Scrooge yelled.

Webby decided to move on the offense for this one. She was able to dodge each specter that came her way, while maintaining her footing on the building.

The swarm then begun to dive down towards Webby.

"Webby look out," Scrooge yelled.

Webby clung to the side of the building as the swarm of ghosts begun to pile on her, they were individually crying out their tragic back stories.

Scrooge became angry from this and charged ahead to rescue Webby. You couldn't hit a ghost, but Scrooge didn't need to hit them, he just had to get Webby out of their pile. He charged through the masses and grabbed Webby before tossing her ahead towards the staff.

Webby then grabbed onto the staff and yanked it from the side of the building. "Move on," Webby commanded as the staff and her eyes begun to glow green. "Leave this plain, move on to the next one!"

The ghosts all stopped attacking for a moment as they starred at the Duck family. Then they individually begun disappearing.

The Duck family all panted as they barely managed to scrape by this adventure with their lives.

"That... was intense," Dewey admitted.
