Chapter 02
Rays of light shine between the curtains of the dorm. One of the rays reaches Bloom's eyes. She squints and turns her head away from it.
"Stella," the fire fairy whined. "Turn off the light." She then feels something nuzzling against her. At first, Bloom thought it was Kiko before realizing that it was too big to be the rabbit. Opening an eye, she finds a small head of long white hair. Icy is snuggling against the fairy with Kiko wrapped in her arms. The fairy smiles at the sight. The smile soon fades as whimpering reaches her ears. Rising to look for the source, Bloom accidentally disturbs the ice witchling.
Icy rubs the sleep out of her eyes. "Bloom, what's wrong?"
The fairy finally notices Stormy next to the couch crying. "Stormy?" the girl flinches at the sound of Bloom's voice and the whimpering grew louder, waking everyone else up.
"I-I'm sorry!" the storm witchling cries. "I did-didn't mean to!"
"What happened, Stormy?" Bloom gets up off the floor and walks up to her.
Flora takes notice that the blanket she was using, the floor, and her clothes are wet. "I think I know," the nature fairy gets up to go over to Stormy. Lightly patting her down, her suspicion is confirmed.
Icy laughs. "Bed wetter, bed wetter! Stormy's a bed wetter!"
Bloom snaps at her. "Icy! That's not very nice." At the harsh tone, the white haired witchling looks down at her feet.
Stormy continues to cry. "I'm sorry. It was an accident!"
The nature fairy calmly hushes the storm witchling. "I know it was, Storm Cloud. It's alright," she then leans closer to whisper. "Want to know a secret? I used to wet the bed when I was your age to."
The witchling sniffles. "Really?" Stormy asks and receives a nod from Flora.
After Stormy calmed down, the dorm was finally quiet again. A little too quiet.
Musa looks around and notice that they are short a Winx. "Where's Stella?"
Icy walks over to the couch. "Where's Darcy?"
The Winx looked around in the apartment before, Aisha notices a dim light shining underneath the door of her and Stella's room. The Morphix Fairy cracks the door open and smiles at the sight she is met with. "I found them," she whispers.
Everyone walks up to the door to see Stella and Darcy on the princess' bed. The Sun Fairy has an arm wrapped around the illusion witchling and has an opened book laying on top of them. Right above them is a dim, shining ball of light.
A flash of light from the doorway soon wakes up Stella. "W-what?" she squints before noticing the girls in the doorway.
The Winx turned to glare at Tecna who had a device out that was the source of the flash. She sheepishly smiles at them. "I wanted to remember this," the Tech fairy defends as she shows a hologram of Stella and Darcy soundly asleep.
Stella went to snap at them. But realizing that Darcy still has a hold of her, she settles for a harsh glare.
.oOo.
Later
While Bloom, Flora, and Stella work on getting the little Trix washed, Musa and Tecna are cleaning up the shared area of their apartment, and Aisha is out making sure the witchlings' clothes get washed.
Someone starts knocking on the door. Tecna yells, "We're busy! Comeback later!"
"Come on, girls!" a man's voice sounds through the door. "We just want to check up on you!"
Musa stands up off the floor, "Riven?" she walks over to open the door. Standing there is the whole Specialist team. Riven showed himself in. "Please come in," the sound fairy sarcastically tells him.
Sky walks in. "Sorry, girls," he apologizes as Brandon, Timmy, and Helia follows him in. "We were just worried."
Tecna leaves the spot of the floor she was scrubbing. "About what?"
"We were all supposed to hangout today, but then we received a message saying that you had some sort of emergency."
The fairy of technology hums for a moment. "I guess that message could have been more clear. But what we're dealing with cannot be explained simply in a message and it's nothing that we can't handle."
Before anything else could be said, squealing can be heard coming from the bathroom. The Specialists immediately take their battle stance.
Musa gets right in front of them, "Woah, woah! At ease soldier boys."
The voice of a young girl can be heard. "I don't wanna!"
Followed by Bloom saying, "You need a bath, missy!"
"Why? I'm not the bed wetter!"
"What I say about calling Stormy that? You get in the tub now, Icy!"
Brandon turns to Sky, "Did she just say—"
The bathroom door is then slammed open and a small girl with long white hair comes running out wearing a towel as a dress. "No! Water's too hot!"
Bloom then runs out after the girl. "Would you rather it be cold!?"
"The cold never bothers me!" as she runs past Sky, the Prince of Eraklyon snatches her up and stares at her. The child looks up at him in fear and struggles to get out of his grasp. "Stranger, stranger!"
Bloom walks up to them and takes Icy. "Don't worry, Icy. Sky's not going to harm you. A prince will never harm a young lady."
Flora walks out of the bathroom carrying Stormy, and Stella leads Darcy out while the two hold hands. Both little witchlings are wearing oversized t-shirts.
Icy looks up at Sky, "Are you really a prince?"
Sky smiles at her. "That's right."
The Fire Fairy leans into kiss the prince.
The witchling looks between them. "He your boyfriend?" Icy receives a nod from Bloom. The little girl thought for a moment. "Could I get a prince?"
The redhead has no idea how to answer that. "Uh?" Luckily, Sky was quick to think.
"Maybe someday. But it might be tough," he then holds his nose and waves his hand. "Princes don't usually like girls being all smelly."
At this, Icy gasps as she jumps out of Bloom's arms, runs to the bathroom, and closes the door behind her. After a moment, there is a small splash followed by another squeal. "It's still hot!"
Bloom sighs, "Thanks, Sky," she gives him a quick peck. "I should take care of this. The girls will explain," then she rushes into the bathroom.
The room remained silent for a while, before Riven shouts. "What's going on here!?" causing the two little girls to flinch. The dark-haired child digs her face into Flora's shoulders with the Nature Fairy stroking her hair to calm the child down. The brown haired one, hides herself behind Stella who reaches behind to pat her head.
"Riven!" Musa scolds her boyfriend.
"And who are these girls!?"
Helia walks up to Flora. The child in the flower fairy's arms moves her head to glance at the Specialist. He gives her a warm smile before she lets out an 'eep' and hides her face again.
"She's a bit shy," Flora explains. "Don't worry, Stormy. Helia is the kindest, most gentle soul in this room. He will not hurt anyone."
Stormy looks up and the nature fairy, then glances back at Helia. The Storm Witchling whispers into her ears.
Flora's face reddens a bit. "He's not a prince, but I do like him very much," she tells the child while eyeing her boyfriend who smiles back at the fairy. Stormy glances back and shyly waves at him. Helia's only response was to wave back.
Brandon walks up to Stella and the brown-haired child. "And who's this little lady?" he kneels to be at eye level with the girl. She curiously looks up at him. The brunette boy then gives her the goofiest smile he can muster, making her laugh.
"You're funny," she tells him.
"Well, that's good, little lady. My name's Brandon. And you are?"
"I'm, I'm Darcy," she walks out from behind Stella. "Are you and Stella together?"
"That we are, Darcy."
"Are you a prince to?" her eyes sparkle.
"Afraid not," Brandon shakes his head.
"But Stella's a princess," the witchling looks up at the sun fairy. "I thought only a prince can be with a princess? Like in the story."
"Oh, Darcy. That was only a story," Stella softly looks at the illusion witchling before glancing at her boyfriend. "Titles and royalty means nothing when it come to love. Besides, he's much more charming than most princes I've met."
The Prince of Eraklyon takes offense. "Gee, thanks, Stella!"
The Princess lets out a giggle. "I said most, Sky."
Riven speaks up. "Okay, why are they named after the Trix?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Timmy asks as he holds as he has his device out. He has been scanning the children since they walked into the room. "I wanted to be sure, but these readings state that they are in fact the Trix."
The other Specialists shouts, "What!?"
Timmy then hums. "I detect exposure of some sort of unstable magic," he smacks his handheld. "It must be glitching as this thing cannot tell the difference from five years and twenty."
Tecna looks at him. "It may not be a glitch, Timmy. The Trix, they fell into the Tears of the Black Willow Tree."
"I've read about that," Timmy puts his handheld away. "It is said that the tears takes away the time you have already lived."
"Not only that," Flora speaks. "It seems to have removed their memories as well."
"And you believe that!" Riven glares at Darcy, who retreats back behind Stella. "These are the Trix. Has it not occurred to you that they might be up to something?"
Musa shouts. "Riven! You did not see them when they crawled out of the water. They were frightened with no idea what was going on. I know what they did to you, but right now they are just scared little girls."
The purple haired specialist just huffs and turns away. After a few minutes, a quite voice called his name.
"M-Mr. Riven."
"What!?" he snaps at the little Darcy who flinches under his gaze.
"You're-you're standing in Stormy's accident," she lets out a whimper before running back to Stella.
The Specialist looks down and just now notices that the part of the floor he has been standing at is rather damped. "Ugh! My shoes!"
Stormy sobs. "Sorry."
"It's alright," Flora strokes her head to calm the witchling down.
The door to enter the dorm opens and Aisha walks in carrying the freshly clean outfits of the tiny Trix. "I'm back!" she calls out then notices that the Winx were not the only one's present. "Oh? What are you guys doing here?" she looks at every Specialist only to stop at Riven and glance down. "Uh, Riven? You're—"
"I know!"
