Ok guys and girls here's the next chapter.
Navigating through the winding corridors, he finally reached the second floor of the dungeon, where the leader had said they were ambushed.
It took a bit of time, but as he kept moving northeast, he eventually came across an area that fit the description.
The area was marked by the remnants of a battle not too long ago, with broken weapons and dried bloodstains. His bear nose picked up a faint scent of the five young men and Luke; his was a lot stronger.
'He really did come back to get it.' Following the scent, he came across a narrow passage that led to a small cave.
Inside the cave, he hurried to a high point to get a good view.
He found Luke tied up, surrounded by a group of goblins. The cave was too small for him to transform into something as large as an elephant, so he had to rely on smaller, more agile forms. First, he turned into a sparrow and flew silently and quickly behind one of the goblins.
Transforming into a wolf, he bit into the goblin's neck, killing it on the spot before changing into a fly and moving to the side.
The other goblins, seeing one of their own fall, came to his side.
Behind them, the green fly changed into a gorilla. Using his two hands, he grabbed a goblin each before smashing them together so hard his hands became messy. The other two goblins quickly took out their daggers, but it was too late; the gorilla grabbed one of them and threw it at the other with enough force that neither of them got back up.
He returned to his human form as he approached Luke and carefully untied the ropes binding him.
As he freed Luke, the guy started to squirm. Beast Boy couldn't tell if it was because of fear that a bigger goblin appeared or excitement that someone was going to save him.
"It's okay. I am not here to hurt you," Beast Boy told him as he started to untie the bound guy. Gently, he started to untie him when he realized something. His clothes were torn a little here and there. A tear on his shirt gave the green shifter a view directly into his chest and his…
"Wait, are you a girl?"
The gagged boy didn't say a word.
"Sorry," Beast Boy undid the gag and told him... I mean her. "I am going to untie you and help you get out of here regardless, but I need to know something."
The girl looked at him. "I don't really have a choice, so..."
"I was sent here to save a guy. His grandfather asked me to save him, so are you him?"
"Yes, I am Luke." She got up and massaged her wrist, which was, at this point, already free of her binds.
"Good, now I just need to find that sword, and we can leave."
"Wait, you are also looking for the sword?"
"Yes," Beast Boy said as he looked at her. "I want you to find someplace safe, and I will go and search the place for the sword."
"But why?"
"Consider it a favor."
A sound of a horn alerted them both. Looking at the source, they saw a lone goblin with a horn in his hand.
"My bad luck strikes again," she said as she looked at him. "I am sorry."
"It's not yours, it's mine," Beast Boy smiled at her. "Find a safe place and leave them to me."
Nodding, she ran to find cover. He watched as the lone goblin quickly became five, then ten. Some goblins were armed with bows, others with crude staffs, and a few wielded jagged blades. It was clear this wasn't going to be an easy fight. He prepared himself, shifting his weight and readying his powers.
The wave of goblins charged at him, a mix of fighters brandishing rusted swords and daggers. Beast Boy transformed into a tiger, his massive form and powerful jaws making quick work of the nearest goblins. His claws tore through their defenses, and his speed allowed him to dodge their clumsy attacks while keeping focus on any arrows or spells that might come his way.
As he cleared most of the close-range goblins, arrows became more frequent. He noticed the archers taking aim from a distance. Shifting into a hawk, Beast Boy soared into the air, dodging arrows as he scanned for the archers' positions. Diving swiftly, he took cover unnoticed, turned into a cheetah, and snuck up behind one of the archers, taking it down with a swift swipe of his paw.
He might have been outnumbered, but he was still the superior one here.
Getting in front of all the goblin archers, he changed into a tiger and let out a roar. Fear-struck goblins aimed all their arrows at the massive feline, who changed from a tiger to an ant to avoid all the arrows before changing back.
Fifteen seconds later, all the goblin archers lay dead on the floor.
But his victory was short-lived as the goblin mages began to cast spells, balls of fire engulfing their hands. Beast Boy transformed into a rhino, charging through their ranks and disrupting their concentration. The ground trembled with each stomp of his feet, and goblins were sent flying by his powerful horn.
One particularly cunning goblin mage managed to evade his charge, casting a spell that sent a ball of fire towards him. Too close to even dodge, he turned himself into an elephant and absorbed the flames, then turned into a panther and made quick work of the last few remaining goblin mages.
"We are done," Beast Boy shouted. Within a second, Luke jumped out of her hiding place.
"How did you do that?" she asked with a face that had nothing short of amazement. "I mean, that would require a group of at least ten adventures to kill."
"Well, Robin usually has us fight a bunch of robots at the same time. I kind of have some experience with this."
"You're amazing," she said as she kept staring at him.
"Oook, I appreciate it, thank you," Beast Boy looked around. "Where is that sword?"
"Okay, yeah. It should be… that one." The girl ran to one of the dead goblins and came back with the sword.
"Looks like we are done. Let's leave." They turned to the exit.
The ground shook. A massive troll emerged from the depths of the cave, towering over them. It was a tad bit bigger than the giant skeleton, but the difference was the body. The skeleton was just that—a skeleton, only bones—but this was muscle and whatnot.
The girl fell to her knees. "We are going to die; there is no way we can defeat that." She looked at him with eyes filled with fear. "Trolls are a floor five monster. It takes experienced warriors to kill it."
"Make a run for it. I will kill it and meet you on the surface." Beast Boy said as he gave his signature smile at her before charging at the troll.
The troll let out a deafening roar, swinging a massive club that could crush bones with a single blow.
Beast Boy morphed into a fly to avoid the blow, then into a gorilla, using his brute strength to wrestle with the troll. The troll's hide was tough, and its sheer size made it a formidable opponent. Beast Boy shifted tactics, turning into a snake to slither around the troll's legs, tripping it up. As the troll stumbled, he turned into an elephant, ramming into it with all his might and knocking it to the ground.
The troll, though down, was not out. It swung its club wildly, forcing Beast Boy to dodge and weave. Turning into a nimble monkey, he climbed up the troll's arm and onto its back, shifting into a bear to maul at its thick neck. The troll roared in pain, trying to shake him off.
Changing into a spider, he avoided the hand that tried to grab him before changing into a great white shark, which had one of the worst bites in the world.
The troll roared in pain, but the same thing happened again. When it tried to grab the animal that harmed it, there was nothing there.
It roared again, but this time it was the left neck. Then the left leg and right hand. Twenty minutes later, the troll had fallen not dead but just fallen down it was regenerating itself.
Breathing heavily, Beast Boy reverted to his human form a bit of a distance away, surveying the battlefield. Goblins lay defeated around him, and the troll was too strong for him to beat here, He nodded to himself, satisfied with his somewhat victory, before quickly turning his attention back to the cave entrance where Luke had run away with the sword.
"I need to get her name." Beast Boy changed to a falcon and left. Changing here and there to a wolf or a bloodhound, he picked up her scent and found her in a minute or two.
There she sat on the ground, the sword dropped in front of her, and she was… crying.
Tears streaming down her dirt-streaked face as she looked back at the path she had just fled. Her sobs echoed in the silent forest. "I shouldn't have left him," she whispered to herself. "I shouldn't have...What if he's... what if he's really gone?"
The ground was still and silent now, the troll's heavy footsteps no longer audible. She couldn't shake the dread that her green hero had most likely died buying her time.
High above, among the leaves of a tall tree, Beast Boy perched as a bird, watching the girl. His sharp eyes scanned the area for any sign of danger, but seeing there wasn't any, he decided it was safe enough to approach.
He fluttered down and transformed back into his human form, landing softly behind her. "Hey, it's okay. I'm here
She spun around, eyes wide with surprise and relief. "You're alive!" Her voice broke, and fresh tears spilled down her cheeks. "I thought... I thought you were gone. I couldn't bear the thought of you dying because of me."
He offered a reassuring smile. "Trolls are tough, but he won't be getting up anytime soon. I took care of it. You're safe now."
She wiped her tears, her voice shaky. "I was so scared. I didn't want you to get hurt because of me. I feel so guilty for running."
He stepped closer, gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "I was only able to fight without holding back because you weren't there. It was the correct thing to do." He gave her a confident smile. "I'm tougher than I look."
She looked at him, her eyes filled with a mix of relief and something more. "I... I don't know how to thank you. You saved my life."
He grinned, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, you can start by not worrying so much. I'm used to handling big, ugly monsters."
A small smile broke through her tears. "Thank you, Really. I don't know what I would have done without you."
He shrugged, still smiling. "Just doing what I can. Now, let's get out of here."
She nodded, feeling a warmth spread through her chest that had nothing to do with their dire situation. "Okay. Lead the way."
"Wait, I forgot to ask, but what's your name? I know it's not Luke."
"Well, it's Lucy," she said, embarrassed.
"Got it. Let's get you to your grandfather, Lucy."
"And yours?"
"You can call me Beast Man" ya that's it.
A few hours later.
Beast Boy had delivered Lucy to her grandfather.
Flying through the sky as a bird, he arrived at the edge of the forest. The atmosphere changed. The trees stood tall and dense, their branches intertwining to form a natural canopy that blocked out much of the moonlight. The air was cool and filled with the sounds of nocturnal creatures stirring in the underbrush.
Beast Boy transformed back to his human form and made his way to Raven's hut, a small, unassuming structure nestled among the trees. The hut was built from weathered wood and stone, with a thatched roof and a small garden of herbs growing outside.
He knocked on the door, and it swung open to reveal Raven, her expression a mix of surprise and tiredness.
"I found Luke and took him to his grandfather," Beast Boy announced. "Now, let's talk about how we're going to get your mother back."
Raven glanced at Beast Boy. "Fine," she said, her tone firm. "Come inside. We'll discuss our plan."
The inside of Raven's hut was modest but cozy. Shelves lined the walls, filled with jars of herbs, potions, and ancient books. A small fireplace crackled softly, casting a warm glow. They all sat around a wooden table, the weight of their task heavy in the air.
"Got it," Beast Boy said. "But first, i need to know more about the prison and the guards."
Raven nodded. "I've been gathering information. The king's personal prison is heavily guarded, but there are ways in. We'll need to be smart and careful."
Beast Boy leaned forward, his expression serious. "Whatever it takes, we'll get your mother out. And then, we'll find a way to send me back home."
Raven looked at him, her eyes filled with a mix of gratitude and determination. "Thank you," she said quietly. "We'll get started tomorrow morning" she said with a yawn.
"Ya, i could use some shut eye" beast boy agreed as his fatigue caught up to him.
That's it for this chapter, next Chapter is going to feature more of a talking with raven about her world and stuff like classes, race, artifacts and stuff like that. If you have your own questions let me know I will answer them as well..
