Chapter 1

In a dimly lit room, a raven-haired girl kneels before a grand, imposing desk. The flickering shadows dance across the walls as a shadowy figure looms in front of her, his presence filling the space with a menacing aura. His voice, cold and commanding, cuts through the silence. "Aurora. I have a mission for you."

A screen flickers to life on the wall behind him, displaying the image of a man with raven-black hair, dressed in a striking red jacket and matching cap. Two distinct Z marks are etched across his cheeks, giving him an air of both mystery and defiance.

"This," the figure continues, "is Adam Red Ketchum. He leads Team Alpha, a group of individuals with the extraordinary power to summon Legendary and Mythical Pokémon at their will. They have been our enemies for far too long, and they stand as the final obstacle to our control over the Kanto and Johto regions."

Aurora's voice is devoid of emotion as she responds, her eyes fixed on the image. "So, I am to assassinate the leader of Team Alpha?"

The figure nods, his expression unreadable in the dim light. "It's not an easy task. But as a member of the renowned assassin family, and given your record of eliminating potential threats over the years, I have faith in your abilities. I want you to infiltrate his circle, learn the secrets behind his ability to summon Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, and then, when the time is right, eliminate him."

"Understood," Aurora replies, her tone unwavering as she rises to leave.

As she steps into the pale moonlight streaming through the narrow window, the boss is briefly illuminated. The letter 'R' gleams ominously on his shirt, and a Persian, with eyes glowing like embers, rests on his lap, silently observing the exchange.

Aurora lies motionless on the road, her body bruised and battered, her breathing shallow. She plays her part well, feigning the helplessness of a girl injured by a wild Pokémon. As the sound of footsteps grows closer, she remains still, knowing this moment is crucial.

"Adam, there's a girl lying on the street. What should we do with her?" a man beside Adam asks, his voice laced with concern.

Adam's eyes narrow as he gazes at the wounded and unconscious Aurora. After a brief moment of contemplation, he makes his decision. "Bring her to our base and find Dr. Jekyll. We can't leave anyone to die out here. From the looks of it, this might be the work of a wild Pokémon."

The rest of Team Alpha nods in agreement, quickly and carefully lifting Aurora and carrying her to their camp. Once there, Dr. Jekyll tends to her injuries with practiced precision. Slowly, Aurora begins to stir, her eyes fluttering open.

Adam approaches, his expression softening as he sees her waking. "Are you feeling a little better?" he asks, his voice gentle.

Aurora blinks, her gaze locking onto Adam. "A little..." she murmurs, bringing a hand to her head as if in pain. "Where... where am I?"

"You're at our campsite," Adam explains. "Our group found you lying in the middle of the road. May I ask the name of the beauty before me?"

Aurora feigns a slight blush, allowing a touch of vulnerability to show. "My name is Aurora... I'm from Kalos..."

"Aurora," Adam repeats, a small smile tugging at his lips. "What a beautiful name." His tone shifts to one of concern. "Now that you're awake, do you have any family or friends? We can help you get back home."

Aurora's expression darkens, her voice barely above a whisper. "My family... they're long gone. I've been alone for years..."

Adam's eyes soften with sympathy. "I'm sorry to hear that. If that's the case, why don't you stay with us?"

A woman standing beside Adam, Johana, steps forward, her eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Are you sure this is a good idea, Adam? She's an outsider, and we have no way of knowing if she's a threat..."

Adam shakes his head, his confidence unwavering. "Don't worry, Johana. I don't believe she's our enemy. Aurora, you're welcome to become a member of Team Alpha, if you wish."

Aurora tilts her head, feigning confusion. "Team Alpha?"

"Team Alpha is a group dedicated to using the power of Legendary and Mythical Pokémon to make this world a better place," Adam explains. "Our goal is to root out the evil that lurks in the shadows. We believe the governments of all nine regions have been compromised by criminal organizations, which is why we only trust ourselves. So, what do you say? Will you join us?"

Aurora's heart races beneath her calm exterior. She can hardly believe how easily she has infiltrated the team. This is the opportunity she has been waiting for, and she isn't about to let it slip through her fingers. With a carefully measured smile, she replies, "Of course, I'd like to."

After a year with Team Alpha, Aurora has proven herself to be an invaluable asset, taking down evil organizations in various regions. She plays a crucial role in the destruction of a Team Plasma base in Unova and thwarts Team Flare's ambush on Xerneas. Yet, through it all, Aurora never forgets her true mission: spying on Team Alpha for Team Rocket. However, the warmth and camaraderie she experiences with Team Alpha are in stark contrast to the cold, manipulative treatment she received from Team Rocket. These conflicting emotions begin to weigh heavily on her mind.

The day before Team Alpha's planned assault on Team Rocket, Adam summons Aurora to his office at their base. As she enters, her heart beats with a mix of anticipation and dread.

"What is it?" Aurora asks, her voice steady, but her mind is swirling with doubt.

Adam meets her gaze, his expression serious. "Aurora, tomorrow we're launching an attack on Team Rocket's base at the Lake of Rage in the Johto Region. I wanted to make sure you're ready for it."

Aurora hesitates, her response faltering. "Not at all." Deep inside, a storm of uncertainty rages. Where does she stand in this fight? On the side of Team Rocket, who treated her as nothing more than a tool, or with Team Alpha, who has shown her nothing but kindness and acceptance?

Adam continues, unaware of her inner turmoil. "To stop Team Rocket, we're going to summon the Legendary Dogs to assist us. You must be curious about how we'll summon them, right?"

Aurora's eyes widen in surprise. If she can obtain this information, her mission to infiltrate Team Alpha will be complete. As Adam explains the method to summon the Legendary Pokémon, Aurora listens intently, feeling the weight of her conflicting loyalties grow heavier.

After revealing the details, Adam places a hand on her shoulder. "Aurora, you should rest now. We'll need you at full strength for the operation tomorrow."

Aurora nods, but her mind is already racing with a plan. She decides to assassinate Adam that very night, believing it to be the only way to prevent Team Alpha from attacking Team Rocket. As the night deepens, Aurora sneaks into Adam's room, a knife clutched tightly in her hand.

"Adam... during this year, you've given me a new home, and for that, I'm grateful. But I'm on a mission, and I have to kill you. I'm sorry," Aurora thinks, her heart pounding as she raises the knife, ready to strike.

But before she can act, Adam's eyes snap open. In an instant, he grabs her hand, stopping the blade inches from his chest.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," Adam says calmly, leaping out of bed. Aurora's blood runs cold as she realizes she has failed for the first time. Panic and disbelief flood her senses. How could he have known? How could she have been so careless?

Adam smirks as he looks down at Aurora, now pinned to the ground. "Looks like the game is over, huh? Or should I say, Aurora Sachi, the infamous assassin of Team Rocket?"

Aurora's lips curl into a defiant smirk of her own. "How long have you known my identity?"

"Since the day you joined Team Alpha," Adam replies smoothly. "I knew your goal was to kill me and steal the knowledge of how we summon Legendary Pokémon."

Aurora's eyes narrow as she tries to reach for the gun hidden in her pocket. But before she can react, Adam flips effortlessly, pinning her down again. "If you knew, why didn't you just expose me?" she demands, frustration and confusion boiling beneath her calm exterior.

Adam's expression softens slightly. "Because I saw the sadness in your heart. Seven years ago, Team Rocket abducted you, forced you to become their weapon. I know you don't enjoy killing, Aurora. With Team Rocket, it's kill or be killed, isn't it?"

"Shut up!" Aurora snaps, but her voice wavers. Adam's smirk returns, knowing he's hit a nerve. "Oh? Are you trying to wake up the others? If you do, they'll kill you on the spot."

"What does it matter?" Aurora glares at him, a mix of anger and desperation in her eyes. "I failed my mission. I'd rather die by your hand than by Team Rocket's."

"I'm not going to kill you," Adam says firmly. "Instead, I want you to leave Team Rocket."

"It's useless," Aurora mutters, her voice tinged with hopelessness. "Traitors in Team Rocket always end up dead. I've killed many who tried to escape. They'll do the same to me."

Adam tilts his head slightly, his gaze unwavering. "But you're the strongest assassin they have. Do you really think they can kill you? And if I, someone stronger than their best assassin, just defeated you, what makes you think they can touch you with me on your side? If you join us, do you believe they'll be able to lay a hand on us?"

Aurora's eyes widen in realization. The thought of having protection, of not being alone in this fight, begins to dawn on her. For the first time, she wonders why she should continue to be confined to Team Rocket's control. Tears start to well up in her eyes as she kneels, her emotions finally breaking through the walls she's built over the years.

Seeing her vulnerability, Adam moves closer and wraps her in a gentle embrace. "You're free now," he whispers. "You're not a slave to Team Rocket anymore. If you don't want to fight, you don't have to. We'll handle Team Rocket without you."

Aurora melts into his embrace, the warmth of his words and the safety he offers flooding her with a sense of relief she hasn't felt in years. "No," she whispers, her voice firm with newfound resolve. "I'll fight. I want to show them I'm not theirs anymore."

Adam smiles, seeing the determination in her eyes. Without warning, he lifts her into his arms, cradling her like a princess. "For now, just rest," he says, carrying her back to her bed. "We'll destroy Team Rocket's base tomorrow."

Aurora watches him as he gently sets her down, still dazed by his kindness and strength. But deep down, she knows she's safe as long as he's with her. For the first time in years, she feels like she has a choice—and she chooses to fight by his side.

After Adam reveals Aurora's true identity to the rest of Team Alpha, the initial reaction is mixed. Some members are saddened to learn that Aurora, who they had come to trust and care for over the past year, was originally a spy sent by Team Rocket. Yet, many others recognize the sincerity in Aurora's decision to betray Team Rocket and join their cause. Those who had doubts quickly fall silent as they witness the fire in Aurora's eyes—her determination to help them destroy Team Rocket's base is unmistakable.

Aurora's defection infuriates Team Rocket's leader. Desperate to regain control over their once-loyal assassin, they employ every tactic they can think of to bring her back to their side. But Adam and Aurora, working together, dismantle Team Rocket's operations one by one, leaving their former masters in disarray.

As they continue their mission, Adam delves deeper into Aurora's past. He discovers that her father was once a knight from the Rota Kingdom, a nobleman who was later revealed to be an assassin. Using his connections in Rota, Adam tracks down Aurora's mother, who has been tirelessly searching for her missing daughter. Now the Founder of Pokémon Showcases, Aurora's mother has never given up hope of finding her. Aurora is stunned to learn that Adam is a prince and that his elder sister is the reigning queen of Rota.

When a meeting is arranged between Aurora and her mother, emotions run high. They share a tearful reunion, with Aurora's mother recounting how she never stopped searching for her, even after she was abducted. The pain of their years apart melts away as they reconcile, their bond as strong as ever. In a symbolic gesture of her new life, Aurora dyes her hair mahogany, embracing the future and leaving her past as a Team Rocket assassin behind.

Over the following years, Aurora and Adam grow closer, their bond deepening with each shared battle and victory. It becomes clear to both of them that their connection is more than just comradeship—it's love. Eventually, they confess their feelings for each other, and their relationship culminates in a royal wedding in the Rota Kingdom. The ceremony is a grand affair, with nearly every Legendary and Mythical Pokémon bestowing their blessings upon the newlyweds. As a wedding gift, the queen presents them with a secluded island—a place known only to a select few, where Aurora can find peace and solitude.

The island becomes a sanctuary for Aurora, especially as she discovers she's pregnant. While she awaits the birth of their child, Team Rocket remains relentless in their search for her. However, with the help of Team Alpha's members, the location of the island remains a well-guarded secret. Adam, driven by his love for Aurora and the desire to protect their growing family, works tirelessly to bring an end to Team Rocket's reign of terror. He is determined to finish the fight as quickly as possible so he can return to the island, where his wife and future child await.

As Aurora's pregnancy progresses, the island becomes her refuge—a place where she can finally relax and prepare for the next chapter of their lives. And when the time comes, surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of the island, Aurora and Adam welcome their child into the world, knowing that they have created a new legacy, free from the shadows of the past.

"Aurora, you can do it. I know you can," Adam whispers, his voice steady with love and encouragement. He holds his wife's hand tightly, offering her strength as she lies on the bed, her face contorted with pain. The doctor works calmly, guiding Aurora through the final moments of labor, her words soft but firm, urging Aurora to push.

After what feels like an eternity, the sound of newborn cries fills the room. The doctor smiles warmly and looks up at Adam. "Congratulations, Mr. Adam Ketchum. They are healthy twins."

"Twins… that's even better," Adam says, his voice filled with awe and joy as he kisses Aurora's forehead. The relief of the pain's departure brings a soft smile to Aurora's face, and she gazes down at the tiny, squirming bundles in the doctor's arms.

"Welcome to the world, Ash, Golly…" Aurora whispers, her eyes glistening with tears as she cradles her newborns, one in each arm. The love she feels in this moment overwhelms her, and she shares a tender glance with Adam, who looks equally entranced by their children.

As they step outside, the scene is nothing short of magical. Every Legendary and Mythical Pokémon, along with Adam and Aurora's own Pokémon, have gathered around the house, their forms shimmering in the soft light of the secluded island. When the twins are presented to the gathering, a wave of joy and celebration sweeps through the Pokémon. Their voices ring out in harmonious cries, a chorus of welcome for the newest members of the Ketchum family.

From the midst of the gathered Pokémon, Arceus steps forward, its presence commanding yet gentle. The deity of all Pokémon bows its head in respect and offers its blessing. "Congratulations on your new children, Adam and Aurora. Your children will reach new heights, carrying the legacy of both their parents."

Aurora smiles, her heart swelling with pride and hope. "Thank you, Arceus. They will become the greatest Aura users the world has ever known. I'm certain of it."

Adam, his heart equally full, adds with a confident smile, "Not just Aura users—they will become Pokémon Masters."

The Pokémon around them cheer in agreement, their voices echoing across the island. In that moment, under the watchful eyes of Legendary beings and surrounded by love, Adam and Aurora know that their children, Ash and Golly, are destined for greatness. They have brought them into a world filled with both love and potential, and with each other's support, they will guide them every step of the way.

Welcome to A New Ash Ketchum, a story that I've been trying to rewrite a lot of times. This story is going to be about Ash and Alice pairing, and I hope you like this first chapter about Adam and Aurora's past. The next chapter will be a major time skip.
