Hello everyone! Author here. The long-awaited Rewrite is here!
It's been six years since the first chapter has been published, but I'm back with a completely rewritten version, plus additional chapters from where it was left off!
I suggest rereading the entire fic to understand the later chapters, but if you're not up for that, you could start on chapter [14. Mission and Exams] which starts Naruto Canon! The previous chapters build up Suna lore, our MC's fight to understand where they place in this strange world as well as her own fight for her beliefs.
Note: The Gamer aspect plays importance throughout the story, and while it does seem like it holds a heavy importance in the identity of the OC, there are larger secrets behind such power that may not be exactly be how the OC initially perceives it. For those worried about the heavy gamer aspect, have no fear, there is closure. The story starts out heavily relying on RPG-elements, however it'll eventually wane as the story progresses. Give it a chance and let me cook! The chapters start out slow, but very quickly they'll ramp up in action, word count, etc.

3rd Person POV:
When the tiny pink blob came out and made no noise nor movement, it seemed as if the whole hospital stood in dead silence. The medical staff had assumed and warned the mother in consequence that her child would most certainly be stillborn. Those thoughts were quickly thrown out the window as soon as the pink blob's fingers twitched, soon followed by the stretching of legs and the said baby's decision that it was a good time to test out her new pair of lungs.
The mother who recently gave birth panicked at the screams and asked if it was normal, twisting and turning to have a glimpse of her child. The doctor had quickly reassured her with a soft and careful voice, that the infant was perfectly fine and was not stillborn despite their predictions, as the infant babbled on, testing her underdeveloped vocal cords.
A nurse finally handed the newborn to the new mother and asked for a name. The mother in question, was beautiful despite sweat plastered her stringy hair to her forehead, face stained red. After moments passed the mother finally whispered.
"Tamako. Her name is Tamako" She said in such a serene voice, bringing her daughter close to her cheeks, closing her eyes in fatigue.
The nurse giggled before replying, "Jewel child? She definitely is a beautiful girl."
The mother soon focused her attention on her daughter, whose eyes just opened, dazed from the bright hospital lights. The infant soon attempted to observe her surroundings but her eyes stayed unfocused dilating in and out, a feature that comes from being a newly born child. Soon, the single mother picked up her child, who was snuggled up in rough, tattered, cloth and hummed said child to sleep.

It's an uncomfortable thought, knowing she'd died and yet she could still have her conscience intact. Neither Heaven nor Hell were waiting for her in this never ending darkness, despite the popular belief of some sort of afterlife.
Maybe she was stuck in some sort of limbo.
However, she could still feel her limbs, her entire body actually. Squeezing and convulsing through a vacuumed-sealed package, just waiting to serve her in space.
The quiet quatrain silence became hauntingly quiet when sudden laughter echoed, bouncing off the nonexistent walls. Voices started overlapping each other, creating sentences.
"Well mortal, since you died at the improper time of death, and for my entertainment obviously, you will be the one."
Entertainment? She was going to be merely entertainment for some voice!?
"...I'll modify your soul, so you'll survive long enough to defend yourself, and perhaps I'll bestow a gift upon you. This... gift, will prove to be useful to you, and remember... your actions have consequences. The ability to influence what you are bestowed is up to you entirely. Perhaps you shall seek an ending unlike no other."
Modify..? wait wha—!? Then, her vacuumed sealed home has constricted onto her, and vaguely she had imagined a Boa Constrictor tightening around her body to suffocate and crush her to death for its next meal.
She doesn't want to be prey. She doesn't want to be prey. She doesn't want to be prey.
A flash of light behind her closed eyelids filled her vision with red, unlike any other red she's had seen the past X days. But she could feel it, feel her body no longer suffocating, no longer dying no longer the prey. She opened her eyes, as best as she could into this blurry, blurry world.
Opening her eyes was the worst possible mistake she would've made in her life.
Well according to that voice— She eyed her surrounding, to the best of her ability, with blurs, connecting the scattered pieces of any sorts of sensibility, her brain slowly functioned to meet her desired path—it just started, she snarked out bitterly in her own thoughts.
The bright hospital lights assaulted her eyes and moments later, although they felt much longer, her eyes attempted and adapted, greeting her with blue transparent rectangles. Her eyes widened in surprise at the reminder of her own death.
[You died by saving an elderly from getting stabbed by a robber!]

Her walk home that day wasn't the greatest but—

All in all, despite dying moments prior, talking to a self-proclaimed god and also reborn into this new world where she has a non-scientific power, she calmed herself down, becoming a devout Buddhist. Words spilling out of her brain and she prayed in the new mantra of:

Or perhaps she's hallucinating, that she took a little too much weed or that blunt really kicked off, maybe it was that really good edible, that she's hearing and seeing things.
Damn this must be the good stuff.
Soon after moments passed, the windows dispersed and another appeared right before her.

Kirigakure is a hell hole for Kekkei Genkai users, that place literally has daily purges regarding Kekkei Genkai users and judging by the system's explanation, she most likely has one.
If anyone were to found out, she'd be done before she can even discover how to talk, however, that's only if she was born before Godaime Mizukage reign.
Her only edge in this violent ridden world was her Kekkei Genkai, if she's not able to demonstrate her potential the fullest, she'll end up cannon fodder. Even if she manage to defect, Hunter-nin would eat her ass for lunch, present her head by late noon and still have time for tea.
