Episode Ignis: Integrity.
Gladiolus, Yura, and Jenica gathered to lift the tomb put to the opening. With Gladio on their side, their effort easily enough to make it out of the sacred grounds, hauling to a stop on the sunlight opening.
Ignis examined Prompto for quite some time and eventually manuever his way to the others. Prompto remained seated on the cold, damp cave. Prompto massaged his messy hair gently and winced quietly. Observing on the ground, the three attached the belt and chains encased the tomb, tightening all round tomb for extraction.
Gladio and Yura did the lifting to hurl the chains and belt underneath while Jenica and Ignis tied the tools together. Taking the time of 3 minutes, the four reached to finish the final touch.
The four retract their steps, and the tomb was hovering slowly from the ground. Slipping through the hole created by Magitek energy beam that annihilate a mountain, forming a new entrance.
"Make our job a lot easier." Gladio spoke up, glancing upward while shading his eyes briefly at burgeoning sunset.
"Indeed." Ignis responded and continued. "Ravus will proceed to toss an extension ladder for our extraction."
While the two converse, Yura guarded the tunnel, leading to the cave and katana on grasp in alert.
"How's Prompto." Gladio asked lowly, eyeing his friend from the distance, being tendered by Jenica to Ignis.
Ignis pushes his spectacles up to his nose tensed. "He's wounded. The daemon was no ordinary to play with." He admitted calmly and resumed as he tilted his head to Prompto. Jenica was examining his head, and Prompto flinched.
"Severed deep cut within his scalp with pulsing headache. The bleeding stopped, but the injury was heavily blow, I believe his energy was spent. Minor impairment to aim with his armaments for dear lord knows if he may attempt to mistaken us as his enemies."
"Damn," Gladio cursed. He shot his glance at the tomb, and the Ravus ship engine purred echoes through.
"But rest assured, we are fortunate enough for Ravus to lend us a hand."
Gladiolus lowered his tone into a whispering voice. "How did the glaives and Hunters manage to get the tomb out in your universe?"
He heard Ignis sighed in response, turning his feature to examine the extension ladder unfolded into a long accessible path when it interacted with the ground.
"Too many."
After the broken record of silence given, Jenica supports Prompto to the ladder, considering the wounded should go first. While waiting, Ignis approached Prompto and urged him to stop.
"How are you holding up."
"Headache is a bitch, but still kickin'." Prompto shrugged hastily to relief his friend concerns.
"It's not gonna be a problem for sure." He grabbed the rope ladder suspending from the ship and ascend slowly. This was followed by Jenica after reaching a certain point of climbing up.
Ignis didn't reply, instead taking note he wasn't suffering. If anything happens to Prompto...
He wouldn't live with himself.
Gladio rested his huge hand on Yura shoulder to respond to the glaive in reassurance and gestured his head to the ladder, and walked away from him. Yura nodded as a direct hold of his language and proceeded to trail behind.
Gladiolus freely gestured his arms to Ignis, granting him to ascend upward. The strategist understood his behavior and began climbing, followed by Yura. He was the last to leave, checking for daemons or anything that put harm's in their landing zone. Close is clear, Gladio climbed his way to Ravus ship with ease.
Inside the compacted lit room, shelves filled with curatives and weapons in stashed securely, Ignis began burying the shelves of medical supplies. In the middle is the tomb to squeeze in with five units around the tomb. The ladder was pulled by Gladio back to the original spot as the bridge completely shut its only entrance. Jenica gently appeased Prompto by massaging his shoulders. Yura strolled to enter the cockpit—the desired result of the hydraulic door slid open unexpectedly, and Ravus invited himself. Startled and met eyes with the glaive sternly, gently nodding, and gaze the party with their prize on board.
One: He scrutinized the hot mess the retainers and glaives status.
Two: Ignis was rushing to pull white clean cloths and paused to see the King.
Three: appalled that the blonde boy was rubbing his head consciously, his eyelids sagged.
Finalizing the application process, it was abundantly disturbing their side quest dealt troubling obstacle as five. Amazed, the boys are managable on their own rights and strength—with glaives obtaining sigils in addition didn't go in their favor? The boys usually execute their objectives with their famous tactician in their party, perhaps they grew rusty after separation. Acknowledged the actions, and he spoke up in concern.
"You must use alcohol first," Ravus instructed, taking a few steps and redirecting his finger to the bottom of the shelves.
Ignis kneeled and reached in deep to grab a plastic opaque white bottle filled with a substance that labeled 70% alcohol. While Ignia dug into the cabinet, Ravus snatched a clean, small cloth, and both hands shredded the cloth in half, splitting in two petite cotton wipes.
Gladio stepped back and allowed his friend and the King to approach Prompto, watching the two from 10 feet away. Jenica remained at his side in case Prompto health spiked increases or decreases.
"Huh?" Prompto gasped.
Ignis hovered his right hand to grope Prompto right cheek. "This may burn." He warned as he positioned his left to tilt th back of his friend skull. Prompto chin almost contacted his collarbone, but he consented to his friend to continue the injury.
He pressed the damp alcohol cloth on the slightly repaired exposed wound. The stimulation of his nerves screaming on the back of his mind ended up jerked shortly from the searing sensation. The hyperactive nervous system reacted to the liquid compound, insisting to repel the searing sensation. Prompto ignored the signal his brain transmitted and winced. His clenching teeth were visible, and his eyes squinted.
"I know," Ravus interrupted, understanding Prompto inflicted head to sanitize infection and looked at Ignis. "Pressurized the wound and swapped to a clean cloth to gauze the gorge. Then I'll wrap it."
Ignis nodded and pressed against his friend injury, using index and middle finger as Ravus began wrapping around his forehead. With a few twirls around his cranium, Ravus cut the gauze with his metallic sharp finger. Ignis slipped his fingers as it preserved into the right spot.
Luckily, Ravus lend a hand to enhance the process quicker than one. Prompto hovered his right hand to feel the soft material. he felt his hair pricking his facial, how despicable the beautiful groom hair with love painted in muddy and slime. Yet, he is truly fond of Ignis and Ravus tendering the patched up gorge.
"How you feelin'?" Gladio asked while leaning against the metal wall, bare arms crossed his chest.
"Pretty ridiculous." Prompto replied. Despite the grieve and stares, his spirit remains intact unless the situation goes out of hand and he'll panic. The incident when Noctis marched against Midgardsormr without second thought, of course the species is sized of 10 story building.
Ignis set aside the first-aid supplies and ripped off a square sealed alcohol wipe to cleanse his fingertips.
Yura posed to respect the commander. "Mission accomplished. Where to, Your Majesty?"
"Our mission is to escort the retainers back into Lestallum with the delivery of the tomb to safeguard of Lucis royal guards." Ravus concluded. All eyes fall to him as he diverts his planner. He glanced at Yura and Jenica. "You two come with me to the Stronghold, Libertus have a new assignment."
The two glaives nodded respectfully, simultaneously noting the King of the Oracle proposition given by their leader.
"What about the Regalia?" Gladio spoke up freely, receiving gazes among his party. "Can drop Iggy and I drive back Lestallum at ease, we gotta head to Ravatogh tomorrow."
"Precisive thought, Gladio, but my concern is the sunset." Ignis said, his voice carry inside the room. He flung his direction to Prompto and resumed to Gladiolus. "It's six, and we wouldn't risk if anything happened to this ship."
Gladio propelled himself off the wall he was leaning on and released his embrace. "Yeah? We conquered Giants and Bombs, I'm sure it'll be fine as long as both have each other backs."
Ignis growled under his throat, reconsidering Gladio fact that is valid. His mind couldn't escape about the glaives, Ravus, and especially Prompto. The guilt punctured his soul because Prompto was hurt on their conquest. And the voice...
"Sir, Jenica and I will protect Ravus ship." Yura volunteered, clasping his fist to his heart. "It is our job to escort the tomb with my members alive."
"I understand," Ignis replied and reassured his second thought. His thought bothered to put his friend harm, but never alone, he reminded himself. He nodded at Gladio. "Gladio, shall we?"
Amicitia slightly grinned.
Ravus patiently observed his guests' decision on proceeding to speed up their current situation. Upon Ignis' approval to tread at sunset and claim their King vehicle, Ravus invaded his council after they ended their sentence.
"I'll use the headlights to keep the daemons at bay as you traverse on the road."
"Let's go, then." Gladio huffed.
The Oracle ship was steering by the King, heading to the location they last left the Regalia, which is Coernix Station. Soaring through the sunset, Gladio and Ignis decided to prepare the darkness in case. Consuming potions for both as Ravus appeared in the intercom to make awareness for them. They felt the gravity descending.
"We've arrived. Standby, dropping the bridge." Ravus voice box said through the intercom. "And be careful."
The two Crownsguard nodded at each other until Prompto spoke up, slightly amused. "Who would've thought Ravus was a caring person." He sarcastically said, despite everyone in the room knowing he already displayed his actions by fixing up Prompto and helping Lucis.
The room was painted red, alerting the guest from air releasing inside the chamber as the bridge was beginning to descend. Ignis and Gladio stood at the bridge and hopped off together, and they spotted their Regalia parked in Coernix Station.
Ravus' ship was docked in front of the road, waiting for the Crownsguard to leap off as Yura pressed the button to ascend the bridge. Prompto waved mildly, a tad concerned without being around his brothers, but the Regalia is important.
Ignis and Gladiolus crossed the road and reached the Regalia. Ignis pulled the key for the engine and unlocked it with the click. Seeing lights brighten the area, they feel secure.
But their thoughts of safety came to reality as the lights in Coernix Station suddenly shut off. The entire atmosphere blackened of darkness in moments. It was already 7 PM, and when 8 hits, that's where the ancient plague came to the surface.
In response, Ignis and Gladio became alert. The two glance around and witness the fleeing civilians exiting the shop screaming in fear.
"What the hell?" Gladio cursed loudly.
Ignis feared the worst. During their experiences a couple of months ago, Ignis have his gut punched. "The daemons... they will rise against us." Ignis declared as he stuffed the key into his pocket. He pulled out his Zwill Crossblades in both hands.
As predicted, the daemons emerged before 8, only to pursue their prey in a vulnerable state. Nagarani, the snake serpent larger than two stores combined and possibly stretched out its size of Coernix Station and stared at the boys.
Another daemon appeared, and it was a formidable samurai, more intelligent and highly skilled daemonic than a Ronin. One of the highest classes and the most dangerous to survive from such an encounter was Yojimbo.
Gladio summoned his Iron Duke and Aegis Shield, feeling tensed as he counted. "Shit, they're civilians here!" He yelled as Yojimbo strikes first without warning. Gladio deflected its fierce assault in seconds.
Ignis dismissed his daggers and pulled out his armiger, which was a flare given by Ravus emergency supplies. With no time to act with their phone, Ignis twists the cap of the flare and disperse a smoky red flare and hurled to the ground, signaling Ravus ship from the sky.
Immediately, the headlights of the Oracle ship came to life and brightened Coenix Station. From the sunset that slowly descends into 8 PM, the bridge dropped unexpectedly, and Yura warped to the power source. One of the power pole wires was severed. He inspected the power box and noticed the small wires were a clean cut.
Strange... Yura thought. He and the glaives could've swore a few weeks ago. They had a task to reinforce the power source around Eos stronger to endure daemonfied attacks. The glaives can easily repair the wires as well with spells.
It came to the conclusion that this isn't an ordinary power outage. Someone or something tried to sabotage their plan and leave the civilians under the darkness. It will take time, although, too long, to be precise when lives are at risk. But Yura attempts to melt the wires together carefully. If he rushed himself, he could potentially electrocute and injure or, worse, death.
Jenica and Prompto watch a few yards from the ground, shocked as the chaos unfolds. The female glaive waste no time as she leaped off the bridge, freefalling to the howling darkness. Her gliding skill entered the headlight spot and summoned her dagger. She warp strike the closest building to protect the civilians.
Prompto sluggishly went to the armaments and snatched a sniper. At least he could try and help his brother in arms out of danger from far distance. He scoped the Nagarani, a clear image of its ugly face, and pulls the trigger.
Bullseye. It penetrated the serpent creature and dazed it, witnessing Ignis using thunder enchantment and slashing each hit.
Ravus eventually entered the compacted room to analyze the situation. He noticed the glaives went out of their own, abandoning their shift for urgent actions taking place. Only Prompto was the only guest in his ship. He approached hurriedly to the injured lad.
"Status."
"Uhh, Yura threw himself to repair the power outage, and Jenica flew off like a badass to help civilians." Prompto explained, never lay his eyes off the scope.
"The dangers ahead, the integrity of the ship alone and your comrades are far more dangerous than I expected." Ravus noted, examining the headlights on Coernix Station.
"What can we do?" Prompto sounded frantic. He reloaded the ammunition into the sniper and shot to the Yojimbo.
Ravus glued his eyes at the man and nodded solemnly. His ship has defensive turrent that are active. "We fight from the air."
Meanwhile, Ignis and Gladio were having difficulties. The daemons were far-fetched to even weaken the fiends. Ignis had a plan to use thunder enchantment using flask stored in his inventory to get the Nagarani's attention, while Gladio deflects every attack that Yojimbo can offer. Surveying the openings, he strikes his broadsword to the Yojimbo. Gaining an assist from a sniper that he believed was Prompto to dazed the samurai.
Ignis maneuvered across the street from left to right, flashing quickly, slashing the daemon serpent appendages. With total clarity, he releases the powerful hit as he hurled his blade into the air and leaves a devastating hit. His enchantment wears off and sticks to his offensive blits in close combat.
The serpent tried to slam its slimy, shiny body towards Ignis, but his killer instinct kicked in, and he saumersault away in seconds upon impact.
Gladio circled around the Yojimbo, steering its attention to detail his pattern. The Yojimbo throws coins at him, and Gladio evades the attack by side stepping, leaving it out of the open. Amicitia performed his glaive arts: Tempest to counter against the odds. Gaining an assist from the sniper and flurry of bullets flying towards the dangerous daemon. The man eventually knocked down Yojimbo into a vulnerable state and performed a death blow.
Amicitia retracted his bearing as Yojimbo rose again, looking at him with the death glare. Gladio was unfazed on its threat. He looked over to Ignis briefly, and the two opponents cross blades, sparks flickering upon the strength on each individual. With his incredible strength, he pushed back the daemon. The rain of bullets cast onto the sumarai menace, weakening it.
Ignis hurled his Zwill Crossblades several times to the giant serpentine, staring intently at the man. It grew passive, but Ignis grasped his dual blades in offensive stance as the snake was staring at him strangely. The turrents from Ravus ship penetrated its scales, flinching slightly, but its eyes never ceased to break abruptly. Seething underneath its ugly horrid face, it spoke.
"Ignis..."
The tactician was confounded, utterly frozen in place. His face expressed a gruesome shock as he locked his eyes on the cursed serpent. Yes, the daemons were created by infected people in starscourge from either the ancient and modern times, but... this daemon specifically called by his initial.
"The pallbearer, shalt be... demise..." It spoke aggressively.
Ignis was caught into a trance, and he held his daggers, shaking convoluted but didn't budge to attack. The daemon face transitioned into an illusion. A horrible fate—the face—he refuses to look upon the beliefs.
It was a Bahamut face it wore.
"The adversary and its followers shall perish..."
His grip on the daggers shakes as he poses to kill, but what was causing him to stall his hit because Can he really beat a God? The serpent tail-like crawl is way behind Ignis, planning to constrict the man.
"Ignis!"
It was Gladio voice that tried to snap his friend out of the trance. The snake was penetrating its gaze to Ignis, slithering its tail and snatched his right leg.
Gladio heavily slammed his Iron Duke to the serpent tail, disrupting its grip on his comrade. His voice didn't penetrate him, but he felt the constrict on his leg going numb. The Yojimbo noticed the bulky man tried to help his friend and decided to change opponent, which it was slowly crept its way to the boys.
Nagarani hissed at the pain, and it appeared to stare at Gladiolus. Gladiolus was sprinting to aid his friend, but the daemon snake didn't like him interfering. The serpent spit out a ball of green liquid compounds that supposedly spell it cast to Gladiolus directly. Gladiolus was concerned about his teammate and failed to notice a ball of strange substances hit the man.
As a result, Gladiolus was covered in the smokescreen of moss colored, his weapon shattered into bits of light into armiger, revealing he was turned into a frog. Hopping away from the threat, viewing the Yojimbo closing in. He wanted to use profanity on this current dire situation, but he wasn't able to.
Breaking eye contact, Ignis snapped out of the hypnosis and recalled a familiar voice calling his name. Looking at the direction, Gladio, who turned into a frog, was leaping away on a sidewalk from danger in Coenix Station.
"Gladio?" Ignis spoke up, shaking his head and using his daggers to throw the Yojimbo.
Yojimbo was in offensive stance, aura of dark miasma leveled intensified, preparing a final swing that could potentially kill his prey.
Ignis made a grave mistake he ever made. He had no time to prompt his motive idea or use Maiden's kiss on route. Gladio will die if he stands.
And so, Ignis rushed in, shielding his cursed friend. Raising both arms like an X, Zwill Crossblades on both hands to soften the landing critical hit, and the masamune mutilated the strategist arms.
The cut was severely deep on his left arm, almost cutting his bone in half. Destroying his nerves for his fingers to control, he nearly amputated his left arm. The right was a deep cut within his attire since his daggers deflect most of the hit, but the bleeding began. The force was inhuman that it knocked Ignis off his feet and landed on his back.
Ignis rolled to his right side, clenching his teeth harshly, channeling his desirable scream of pain and agony, and replaced of pressured air filing his lungs. Scientia noted the wounds would slow him down, and their lives were at risk. He propelled himself sluggishly, using his knee, and clutched his right hand dagger close, posing to defend him and his friend. He wasn't able to feel his fingers on the left arm. He believed they're beyond saving unless an excellent remedy like Hi-Elixir would do the trick.
His attire was soaked in his own blood, dripping down his fingertips, leaving a bloody puddle. The smell of flesh and blood filled the air of his, netting two of the daemons' attention to the only person standing.
But Nagarani attention averted to the frog that it placed its curse. Using its serpent tail to swing wildly and fast at Gladio, sending him flying to the store.
"Gladio!" Ignis screamed in dismay.
Jenica deployed her Omniguard to protect the civilians out of danger in front of the store. A family of three, a beautiful couple, an elder man, and a hunter inside the barrier of magic. She witnessed a frog sped across the air and heavily contacted the concrete wall.
The spell wears off, and puff clouds emerge and fade to reveal Gladiolus was out cold. Jenica looked shocked that her captain was out, and she released her spell given by the Majesty The Just and kneeled to the comrade. Doing a quick check-up, she realized the Crownsguard took a heavy collision of his skull into the wall.
She knew Gladiolus had a bad concussion. His head was bleeding aggressively, and he had a large bump behind his cranium. Her mana was sapped to protect the innocents, but she decided to pour every ounce of her mana to cast a cure so Gladiolus would not suffer brain damage or any effects on impact.
"The Crownsguard is down!" Jenica yelled as she gripped both hands to steady Gladio heavy head. A gentle glowing green emanates the fallen comrade with healing spells.
Ignis cursed under his breath. His energy began to fail him due to blood loss, resulting in his vision being blurred. Just as the two disgusting monsters of the night latched their attention to Ignis, the two crept slowly, readied its crave for flesh.Ignis bears his only good arm in combat, readied to fight against the odds.
But he had forgotten he received aerial support on this case because the Oracle ship descended from the darkness above. It parked inside Coernix Station between the daemons and the comrades. The daemon side was Ravus unleashed flurry of bullets, crushing their foes as Prompto hopped off the bridge with his Rapidus SMG.
Yura was in the ship as well, gesturing the civilians headed to his direction. The civilians spotted sanctuary, and they rounded up, evading around the chaos and into the ship.
Prompto rose to Ignis, who was in danger and helped him recover, with Hi-Elixir in one hand. He crushed the potion beside Ignis.
"Okay, dude, what the frick?"
"Prompto?" Ignis rasped. He felt the advanced healing agent kicked in. He began to sense his nerves a little bit of improvement, his bone magically fabricated together, but he felt lightheaded from loss of blood. He assumed a pint or two. Although, he noticed his thumb, index, and middle fingers were stiffened to control by his nerves.
"Next time, let us know if it's serious, 'kay?"
"Your wounds—"
"Not as terrible as you. Look at yourself! I literally yelled at Ravus that you nearly sent yourself to death! He immediately responded because he really didn't want to lose you."
"The others—" Ignis gasped through his shaky breath, leering over the street and watching the civilians fleeing into Ravus ship orderly.
"Ravus and I can clean up the rest." Prompto demands his friend to reassure the situation.
Ignis knew the crucial role of protecting his friends. He shrugged off his weariness and weaknesses and focused ahead with a stern and reliable voice. "I'll go get Gladio. Keep the daemons occupied."
Prompto sheathed his SMG and recoiled one of his arts: Starshell and aim above the daemons where Ravus uses his Magitek power of his artificial arm. The sharpshooter and a sharp mouth, he responded to his wounded friend who tried to pardon his condition.
"As much as I know the Iggy we all love, there are limits, and try to... I don't know, maybe... prioritize yourself and let others help you? We'll take care of it." He retorted in a good way as he dismissed his Executioner and grasped his Rapidus.
Prompto raced off, joining the fray with Ravus, leaving either listening to him or helping Gladio despite his grave wounds. He'd seen Yura warped beside Ignis and gestured him towards the ship.
Ignis looked forward, contemplating the choices. Seeing Jenica managing Gladio by slinging his large limp arm draped around her shoulders. Or shall he must relieve himself since they have allies to help them. The wounded tactician grinded his molars and chose the right direction by aiding Jenica in extra support.
Yura took the call as he watched one of the Crownsguard sprinting to help Jenica. A solemn nod, Yura guarded the entrance of the bridge for any stragglers decided to harass them.
On the other side, Prompto Arts cast the entire Coernix Station with his skill, blazing the darkness with sheer light, attracting its attention. Ravus deflected numerous deadly attacks from Yojimbo and evaded Nagarani aggressive tail whip.
Ravus respectively pays very close attention to Ignis combat and understand why he is a talented tactical unit for Noctis party. This horrid of a snake has a strong weakness to lightning. Using his false arm, he sent a pulse of shockwave blast at Nagarani. Using his Alba Leonis, he countered the surprised attack from Yojimbo.
He was keen to his surroundings as a king and ex commander. Little sparks came to life as unique metal blades clashed each other, and Ravus managed to push it back. Yojimbo staggered backward, bearing its stance as it glared into the new formidable foe. But its eye averted to Ignis, who was scurring on the right side of Coernix Station, and Ravus knew he preferred its rival.
Before Ravus attempts to interfere its gaze on the first foe, the light appeared to wax the entire area, capturing their attention for both weakened daemons. He'd seen the best friend of Noctis join and prove the most viable party on his section.
Prompto began spraying of flying bullets on the serpent. Keeping his distance, Nagarani is very slow, but it decided to slither its way as it preferred him as a prime target. He fled to the left side of the road, encouraging it to distract the menace as the last civilian hopped inside Ravus ship.
Ravus glanced ahead where the adversary was heading. He reached out to his fallen comrade, aiding by a glaive, and offered to be his support. The three maneuvered their way on Ravus's right side without detection.
"Good," Ravus added and proceeded to enhance his blade by sharpening with his false arm. The Yojimbo was heading to Prompto. Prompto excellency on bullet arts has proven vital on the role.
Prompto ammunition ran hollowed for his Rapidus SMG. He casted the empty firearm borrowed by Ravus and switched to his favorite Alea Bazooka. Hurling over his shoulder, scoping through the screen, allign the line, and took aim. With a clear shot, he pressed the trigger. The large lead of missile heading towards Nagarani and exploded in contact, pausing its slither to harass Prompto. The missile finished off the snake entirely since Ignis and Gladio weakened them. Nagarani blackened miasma and began to dissolve into filthy cursed water and dust.
And Prompto cheered.
Ravus performed his octoslash behind the Yojimbo with the finishing touch and executed the daemon onto its knee. It accelerated into dust of starscourge and evaporated into nothingness.
Ravus sheathed his Alba Leonis and noticed Prompto was skipping happily.
"Nice job, dude!" Prompto cleared his throat after saying that. "I mean, your Majesty."
Ravus didn't reply and flung his head in the direction of their Crownsguard. The three already went aboard and glanced back to the serious and energetic kid. He wondered how Prompto managed to keep the spirit going at these catastrophic circumstances that potentially a suicidal mission.
Prompto looked worried after his friends barely survived. "We gotta take them somewhere safe!" He spoke aloud, sounded frantic.
Prompto skidded to the bridge hurriedly but was stopped in a few seconds after Ravus spoke up in silence.
"You forget something."
Prompto turns his body slightly on the left to see Ravus again. "Oh, you mean the Rapidus, well, it had a good run, but—"
Ravus shook his head, denying the armaments and gesturing his head at the Regalia parked. The Crownsguards officer was sent to obtain their vehicle for a reason.
In a simple and most accurate debatable way, Prompto smiles wearily, observing the Regalia, Ravus, and the ship and releasing his soothing voice to clarify a better yield. "I prefer lives than a junk of fancy car." Prompto commented, glancing through the bridge and scanned everyone on board.
Prompto continued, feeling tensed. "Iggy, Gladio, and you are my priorities as well."
Astonishing. Ravus viewed the kid maturity as beloved and benevolent. He didn't express any words or reaction—the Oracle blinked unconsciously. The retinue, especially Noctis, is one blessed by the star. Perhaps he was correct. There is no more space for the Regalia in his ship nor drivers to steer the elegant car of theirs. Prompto can, but alone driving is another issue. He believed Prompto when the two were gravely injured.
Before Ravus directs any commands or comments, the two warriors hear that the starcourge emerges from the right of Coernix Station. From the distance, it was an Iron Giant, and Goblins rose from the depth of cursed disease.
Ravus and Prompto nodded in muted comments to describe 'it's time to go' motion. Prompto fast walked to the bridge, and Ravus followed behind, ascending the bridge and abanoning the Regalia in Coenix Station.
Ravus speed walk towards the cockpit, viewing the civilians, seven on board, around the right corner. He caught a glimpse of Ignis, Jenica, and Yura kneeling around the prone body of Gladiolus, who was still unconscious. Prompto kneeled beside Jenica, worried and frightened, watching two glaives cast Cure as the tank glowed with healing effect. Ravus snagged a Hi-Elixir from the opened shelf, which he believed they used more than once, and handed to Prompto.
"Status."
"He's not waking up, I am not certain why, but he's fine." Jenica said.
"A concussion," Ignis spoke up and filled the gaps. He was analyzing his friend by lifting his head gently, but it's difficult to make it still due to his nerves severed. "A blunt on his head is swelling."
Ravus nodded. He looked at Yura. "Take the control room and send us in the sky, now."
Yura ceased his healing magic and propelled his knees straight. He pardoned himself with a bow and rushed into the cockpit.
"Iggy... your arms..." Prompto trailed off, never lay his eyes off of his friend since he entered.
Ravus observed the glaive entering the control room and scanned the advisor. Since Prompto voice caught Ravus alert about his proclaimed demise, he noticed his sleeves were shredded. Now, mentioning his arms, he got a full clarity that the tactician arms were shaking convulsively. His left arm was not looking as fair as the other one.
Ignis sighed, placing Gladio head down back to the floor. He didn't want to make a burden of his comrades, but he elaborated despite his stubborn nature.
"It is beyond repair. My nerves were cleaved and unresponsive." He said in a low agitated tone. "The curatives fabricated partially together, but without proper treatment, I can only doubt it'll live."
Prompto deeply frowned, knowing he may lose his left arm. Causing him to feel distressed and pondered in numerous thoughts and dangers lies ahead of them without Ignis on their side. He knew Ignis shared the future. But Ravus disagreed by shaking his head. The Oracle concludes an idea as he begins sharing his idea. His face lightened the mood of the dreadful news. His blue and purple eyes widened as he made his approach.
"The Garrison." Ravus leveled himself from kneeling to straight on his back. "Yura, change our destination from Lestallum to my Garrison south of it."
"Yes, your Majesty." The glaive responded hastly.
"Wait, what's the idea, Ravus?" Prompto quiz as he rose after Ravus new proposition. The ship began to alter its course of direction, and the moving stability shifted to the right. Ravus looked from the control room to Prompto.
"I have a grand project going on, and my people and Grealean doctors reside there." He nodded lucidity and met his eye contact with the group. Ravus immediately returns into the cockpit to aid the Glaive.
The room fell silent, only the noise of whimpers from a single retail worker, two Elders murmurs, and a family of three bound together with embrace. The engine was slightly loud, buzzing in moderate acceleration.
Gladio didn't show any signs of recovering, and Jenica remained kneeling at his side. Prompto, despite the throbbing headache, he was patching his friend left arm a large cloth. On both knees, rock his heel up high, he made an arm support, hurling around his neck for ramp and the right was under his tattered left.
"Thank you, Prompto." Scientia noted his friend.
As soon as Prompto helped his friend, he rock his body backwards, releasing a bothered sighed. His eyes furrowed in worrisome expression and deeply frowned.
"What do we do?" He whispered to the only companion that is awake.
Ignis knew the schedule to meet Aranea in Ravatogh gas station is due tomorrow, but the party was in no condition to traverse Eos. Gladio is in comatose, Prompto is really good on hiding his headache that can tremor Eos, and he... he failed to lift his blades. Ignis let out a sighed and studied his friend glance to the control room.
"Time will come, and Ravus invited us to an alternative way to help us."
"Like what...?" Prompto didn't sound eager, but Ravus was truly a remarkable King.
"We R and R."
A/N— So, it's probably been 3 months, when life give you lemons and stress. I'll be back ut probably not once a week... if anyone care to read. But thank you.
