Stitched Kitsune: Chapter 47
Haku vs Shikamaru
Shikamaru jumped out from behind the tree he was using as cover and threw a kunai with an exploding tag attached towards Haku who was standing on a branch; Haku seeing the kunai coming towards her jumped back as the kunai hit the branch.
The kunai exploded and Haku landed on another branch and threw several senbon at Shikamaru; Shikamaru seeing the senbon took out another kunai and knocked away the senbon before attaching another explosive tag and throwing the kunai at Haku.
Haku seeing this jumped away as the kunai hit the tree branch; however this kunai did not explode and Haku realized it was a dud. When Haku turned back to look at Shikamaru he was already closing the distance between himself and Haku running up a tree to get to her level.
Haku quickly went through one handed hand signs and aimed at Shikamaru 'Ice Style: A thousand needles of death'; Haku used the humidity in the air to form a dozen ice needles and launched them towards Shikamaru before jumping away.
Shikamaru seeing the ice needles jumped up and across to a branch as the ice needles hit the tree and stuck in like a needles in a pin cushion; Shikamaru got down to a knee and made a hand sign.
"Shadow possession Jutsu" Shikamaru said as his shadow began to extend and go towards Haku; Haku seeing this jumped bad even further as the shadow approached. Haku landed on a branch as Shikamaru's shadow began to slow down; Haku was about to throw some more senbon but realized something.
The kunai with the fake exploding tag was in between her and Shikamaru; Shikamaru used the shadow of the kunai's tag to extend his shadow and it got dangerously close to Haku. Haku made a hand sign and formed an ice mirror behind her and walked in missing Shikamaru's shadow.
'Crap' Shikamaru thought 'well at least I have some more info on her fighting style'. Shikamaru felt the air temperature drop and he turned around; Haku was behind him stepping out of a mirror with a senbon in her hand ready to stab him and disable him.
Shikamaru spun around and raised his arm and blocked the senbon from hitting his neck; Shikamaru threw a punch towards Haku with his free hand and Haku caught his fist and gripped it tight.
"Smart plan, a relay for your shadow" Haku said as she pushed back against Shikamaru.
"Thanks for the complement" Shikamaru said before throwing a kick at Haku ; Haku used her leg to block the kick before pushing off and jumping to another tree.
Shikamaru seeing Haku land took out some shuriken and looked at her 'I have no chance of winning in a fight against her; but that doesn't mean I can't but my team some time' he thought 'what a drag'.
Anko vs Neji
Anko threw a series of punches and kicked towards Neji who dodged with difficulty as Anko's was just as fast as Lee wearing his weights; Neji dodged a punch and sent a palm strike towards Anko attempting to hit her in the chest.
Anko saw this and swatted the palm away before reaching out and grabbing Neji by the collar; Anko pulled him down and kneed him in the stomach knocking the wind out of him before elbowing him in the back of the neck sending pain running up and down his body.
Anko finished her attack by kicking Neji and sending him flying into a tree before he fell to the ground holding the back of his neck "Oh god… my neck" Neji groaned as Anko looked on.
"Doesn't have to be this way; just leave back to Konoha kid" Anko said "You have no chance of beating me; besides this goes against my beliefs".
Neji looked at her and spoke "what beliefs?" Neji asked.
"I believe suicide is stupid" Anko said with a smirk and Neji glared at her.
"You're quite confidently aren't you" Neji said and Anko nodded.
"Well yeah, I'm a jonin who can easily kill you; you're a genin who got his ass kicked by Naruto, who wasn't even going all out" Anko said and Neji got back up and Anko spoke again "alright enough talk, time for more ass kicking". Anko began to go through hand signs 'Fire Style: Fire Dragon Jutsu'; Anko unleashed a long stream of fire that transformed into the shape of a dragon as it went towards Neji.
Neji seeing this began to spin in place as a dome of chakra began to form around him 'Eight Trigrams Palm rotation'; the fire dragon slammed into the chakra dome as Neji felt the heat and the pressure of the jutsu. After a few seconds the jutsu died down and Neji began to slow down as his chakra dome dissipated.
However when he did this a pain of snakes shot towards him and bit him on the shoulders making him scream; Anko summoned two snakes from her sleeves to go and but Neji. Anko gripped the snakes and pulled toward her with all her might; Neji was set sailing towards Anko who smirked as he came closer.
Anko extended her foot and kicked Neji in the chest making him fly back the way he came as the snakes let go and went back up Anko's sleeves. Neji hit the ground and began to cough up blood and Anko spoke.
"You had enough yet?" Anko asked and Neji got back up on shaky legs with blood dripping from his mouth.
"Not even close" Neji said and Anko sighed in disappointment.
"Oh well" Anko said cracking her knuckles "time for me to give you some more 'character development; by kicking your ass'".
Kidomaru vs Kiba and Akamaru
"Fang over Fang" Kiba shouted as he and Akamaru spun in the air in two twin vortexes towards Kidomaru who was in a tree. Kidomaru seeing this jumped off of the branch he was on to a branch under him as Kiba and Akamaru hit the tree he just left.
As soon as he landed on the next branch he turned and saw both Kiba and Akamaru do a U-turn and come back his way; Kidomaru made a hand sign and took in a deep breath. Kidomaru then spat out a large spider web from his mouth towards the oncoming vortexes hoping to ensnare them.
Kiba saw this and veered off course to avoid the web, however Akamaru wasn't fast enough and collided with the web; the web wrapped around Akamaru slowing him down and tangling him up as he fell.
Akamaru fell to a tree branch down below and was stuck to it; Akamaru tried to chew through the web but couldn't as it was too tough and sticky.
"Akamaru" Kiba shouted getting ready to jump down and save hid dog; before Kiba could go he dodged to the side as an arrow flew past him. Kidomaru shot his arrow at Kiba as he closed the distance and landed on the branch Kiba was on; Kidomaru spun around swinging his bow like a staff towards Kiba.
Kiba was hit across the face with the bow and Kidomaru followed up with a kick sending Kiba flying off the branch; Kidomaru then bit his finger and slammed it onto the branch.
"Summoning jutsu" Kidomaru said as a puff of smoke erupted and 4 spiders the size of Akamaru appeared "take care of the mutt; I'll handle the owner". The spider jumped down to where Akamaru was and surrounded the dog; Akamaru began to bark and growl as the spiders began to circle the small dog.
One of the spiders launched out and proceeded to bite down on Akamaru's neck injecting the dog with venom and making it yelp; the other three spiders began to attack Akamaru as well and the small puppies yelps and cries reached Kiba.
"Get away from him" Kiba shouted as he took out several shuriken and threw them at the spiders in hopes of killing them; Kidomaru saw this and fired another web from his mouth at the shuriken. The web hit the projectiles knocking them to the ground below and Kidomaru looked at Kiba.
"What's wrong Inuzuka; feeling a little lost without your doggie?" Kidomaru said to Kiba who growled in anger "figures, you clan shinobi are all the same; kill one and learn how they fight and then you can beat them".
"Shut the hell up" Kiba said as he reached into his pocket, pulled out a food pill and ate it; Kiba began to look more feral as he looked at Kidomaru "I'm going to kill you for hurting my dog".
Kidomaru chuckled as he tossed his bow to the side; Kidomaru excreted more of the same gold substance from his mouth and began to break it off so a piece was in each of his six arms. The gold substance turned morphed and hardened into club like blunt weapons and Kidomaru gripped them tightly "well come at me then" he said with a smile.
With Hinata, Sakura, Shizune and the remaining sound five
Hinata was still with the others as they ran through the woods in order to stay ahead of the pursuit team; so far it has been twenty minutes since since Haku, Anko and Kidomaru split off to hold them off.
Hinata was using her Byakugan and was still keeping look out for any approaching hostiles; as she did so she saw at the very edge of her field of vision the pursuit team once again appeared.
"The pursuit team is back on our trail" Hinata said speaking up "I count six in total"; Tayuya looked at her and spoke.
"Fucking shit; how persistent are these assholes?" Tayuya shouted "they cannot like this guy enough to be going through all this trouble". Sakura scoffed at this and spoke.
"Please, he's their 'precious Uchiha'" Sakura said in a sarcastic tone " he's 'the last of a great clan' and 'the strongest up incoming genin in the village'; god he's an ass, and all the girls don't see him for the pig he is". Hinata looked at Sakura and spoke.
"Glad to see you're feelings for him have changed" Hinata said "before you were head over heels for him".
"Now I just want to hang him by his heels; slit hit balls off and watch him bleed to death" Sakura said with an angry tone; Kimimaro looked at her and had a thought.
'What on earth did the Uchiha do to her to make her that angry?' Kimimaro thought before clearing his throat "we need another diversion to keep them occupied". "Tayuya, Ukon, go and hold them off".
"Very well" Ukon said.
"Alright" Tayuya said.
Hinata spoke up as well "I'll stay as well; I know the pursuers and can set up a proper ambush" Hinata said.
"Me too" Sakura said "I can at least tie one of them down".
"Alright; go then" Kimimaro said as he Jirobo and Shizune kept on going ahead while Hinata and the other stopped.
"So Hinata who do you see?" Sakura asked and Hinata looked back in the direction of the group.
"I see Shino, Choji, Ino-" Hinata began but Sakura cut her off.
"I call dibs on Ino" Sakura said raising her hand and everyone looked at her "What? I hate her".
"You're seriously using this mission to settle your beef you have with some other bitch?" Tayuya asked and Sakura nodded.
"Yeah pretty much" Sakura said "I want to beat the blonde bimbos face in; it might be the last chance I ever get to do it" Tayuya and Ukon looked at her with approving smiled.
"That's cold girlie" Ukon said.
"I like you more already" Tayuya said and Sakura smiled while Hinata shook her head.
"Ok, then" Hinata said before she looked at Tayuya and Ukon and spoke "do you need me to help you pick a target?" Hinata asked and they both shook their heads.
"No, we're good" Ukon said "we'll just pick the ones who won't be missed; besides-"; Ukon began to groan as the head on his back began to move and detach itself from his body making Sakura and Hinata go wide eyed.
"He's not alone" Sakon said standing beside his brother "we can take on two enemies at once no problem".
"Ok guys, lets kick their shit in" Tayuya said as she, Ukon and Sakon activated their curse marks until they were in their final forms. Hinata and Sakura looked at Tayuya and besides the horns, darker skin and black eyes she looked relatively normal; however they were slightly frightened by Sakon and Ukon.
Sakon and Ukon both looked like demons with their teeth turned to hands, their skin turning red and a single horn growing out of their foreheads.
Hinata gulped before looking in the direction of the pursuit team "lets get to cover" she said and everyone nodded as they ran off in different directions and hid in the trees.
With Haku
Haku threw a kick towards Shikamaru and Shikamaru put his arm up to block the strike; Shikamaru blocked the kick and grabbed onto Haku's leg in an attempt to throw her. But before Shikamaru could Haku jumped up and spun around.
Haku sent a spinning kick to the side of Shikamaru's head knocking him off the tree they were both on; Shikamaru was falling back towards the ground when he took out a kunai with a rope attached to the ring on the end.
Shikamaru threw the kunai at a tree branch and stuck it in the wood; Shikamaru used this to stop his descent and swing himself to another branch and he looked above.
Haku made a hand sign and created another ice mirror and stepped inside before it shattered; Shikamaru seeing this closed his eyes and used his other senses. As he did he felt his feet get cold all of the sudden and cold air rushed up his body; Shikamaru opened his eyes and saw Haku shooting out of an ice mirror right under him trying to stab him in the neck with a senbon.
Shikamaru moved his head last minute before sending a punch to Haku's gut making her cough out her breath; Shikamaru followed up with a second punch before sending a kick hitting her and knocking her across the branch into the tree trunk.
Shikamaru seeing this made a hand sign and sent his shadow towards Haku while she was down; Shikamaru's shadow connected with Haku and smiled.
"Shadow possession compl-" Shikamaru began until Haku began to crack and her color began to fade; Haku turned to ice and crumpled into nothing "what the hell". Suddenly from behind Shikamaru, running up the tree and threw two senbon at Shikamaru; Shikamaru turned around and put up his forearm to block the attack. The senbon his hit arm sending pain shooting up to his shoulder as Haku approached him; Haku kicked Shikamaru in the gut knocking him off the tree branch and sending him falling towards the ground.
Shikamaru fell down and hit several branches before hitting the ground knocking the wind out of him; Shikamaru scurried behind a fallen tree to take cover as Haku looked on.
'Good think I used an Ice Clone before attacking personally' Haku thought; Haku while in her ice mirror created an ice clone and sent it towards Shikamaru while she hid in the trees waiting for an opening, and thankfully it payed off.
Shikamaru was behind the fallen tree as he pulled out the senbon with a grunt 'damn it, I'm getting my ass kicked, not to mention running out of chakra' he thought; Shikamaru closed his eyes and got into his thinking stance for a few seconds and came up with a plan. 'Ok, it's now or never' Shikamaru thought as he opened a scroll.
Haku waited for Shikamaru to move out from behind the tree but so far it has been two minutes and he had not moved at all 'looks like I'm going to have to take a risk' Haku thought as she made another ice mirror and stepped into it.
Another ice mirror appeared over the tree Shikamaru was hiding behind and Haku inside the mirror saw him facing where she just was; Haku took out several senbon and threw them at Shikamaru hitting him in the neck and knocking him down.
Haku got out of her mirror and landed next to Shikamaru "I'm terrible sorry about-" Haku paused mid sentence as something felt off. Haku using her for flipped Shikamaru over and then he puffed into smoke and a log wearing his chunin jacket laid there 'What!?' Haku thought in shock.
Haku then had a second horrible realization that the log started smoking as there were several exploding tags stuck on; Shikamaru burst out of the other side of the fallen tree having dug his way through the dead tree and made a hand sign.
The exploding tags went off and Haku was sent flying back into a tree; Haku smacked into the tree knocking the wind out of her and falling to the ground coughing. Shikamaru was also hit by the blast as he was knocked down and his ears were ringing.
"Oh man" Shikamaru said getting to his feet as his vision was wobbly and his head pounded; Shikamaru looked over and saw Haku on the ground unable to get up from being hit by the blast. "Well at least you're down for the count" Shikamaru said as he held his ribs 'oh man, I think I broke a rib falling down'.
Shikamaru reached into his pouch and took out some ninja wire and began walking over to Haku; upon reaching Haku, Shikamaru began to tie her up to take her prisoner.
"Sorry about this" Shikamaru said; as he reached down to pick her up he heard a shout.
"HAKU" the voice shouted and Shikamaru turned his head only to see a fist coming at his face.
Naruto using his threads to control his limb punched Shikamaru in the face knocking him back before landing and reattaching his limb; Naruto was looking at Shikamaru with an angry glare and he spoke.
"YOU FUCKER; WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER!?" Naruto roared.
"Just be grateful I didn't kill her" Shikamaru said and Naruto charged towards Shikamaru who made a hand sign; Shikamaru sent his shadow towards Naruto and captured him. Shikamaru changed his hand sign and a shadow shaped like a hand went up Naruto's body "Shadow Strangulation jutsu" he said.
The Shadow hand wrapped around Naruto's neck and Shikamaru tried to choke him but Naruto stayed still; Naruto looked at Shikamaru and spoke.
"Nice try Shadow boy, but I'm using by body hardening jutsu; there's no way you can strangle me" Naruto said "and I know that Haku was whopping your ass by the looks of you; so you're running out of chakra". "And when your chakra is depleted I'm going to beat you for every bruise that's on my girl" Naruto said as he began to struggle against the jutsu and was actually able to move a foot forward and began a struggle walk towards Shikamaru.
'Damn it; I can't hold him' Shikamaru thought as he tried to keep his jutsu up 'I have no choice'; Shikamaru reached into his kunai pouch and Naruto narrowed his eyes.
'This guy is seriously going to use a kunai on me; what an idiot?' Naruto thought; Shikamaru took something out and threw at Naruto towards his face and Naruto saw it to be white golf ball sized object. 'What the hell is-?' Naruto began until the white ball exploded in a blinding light.
"Gah; my eyes" Naruto shouted as he covered his eyes now free from the jutsu "where the hell are you; mother fucker!"
Shikamaru however was no longer there as he immediately ran away after the flash bomb exploded 'I can't fight him while low on chakra; best chance for me it to escape' he thought 'I bought the team some time; hopefully they can catch up'.
Shikamaru while losing the fight won the battle as now Haku was wounded and Naruto was temporarily blinded.
Naruto rubbed his eyes as his vision was coming back; Naruto looked around and saw no one but Haku who was trying to get out of the wire that bound her.
"Damn it; he got away" Naruto cursed as he went over to Haku and formed his gold dagger "babe, are you ok; are you injured?"
Haku shook her head as Naruto cut her free "I'm fine; I just feel like an idiot" Haku said as Naruto helped her to her feet; Haku nearly lost her balance but Naruto held her up "he set up a trap and I fell for it; I was close to victory and I blew it over one mistake". "If you didn't show up he would've taken me" Haku said holding her head down; the next thing Haku knew Naruto cupped her chin and raised her head giving her a kiss.
Upon breaking the kiss Naruto smiled "trust me Haku; if he took you, he wouldn't have made it that far" he said and Haku smiled "lets go back to the group; we need to help them".
"What about that boy I was just fighting?" Haku asked and Naruto shrugged.
"Fuck him; he's wounded, low on chakra and running scared" Naruto said "he'd be an idiot to fight both me and you in that state"; Haku nodded at this and Naruto grabbed her hand. "Lets get going" Naruto said as he and Haku began to run North in order to catch up to the others.
With Anko
Neji was on his knees bleeding heavily from his mouth and nose; his left eye was swollen shut and he had numerous bruised, cuts and abrasions across his body.
Meanwhile Anko was standing across from him basically untouched as she looked at Neji; so far she has been beating him for thirty minutes but he hasn't given up yet.
"You know this was fun at first… but now it's just getting sad" Anko said shaking her head "are you done getting your ass kicked?"
Neji spat some blood from his mouth and got to his feet "I-I won't fail here… I have to find her" he said and Anko raised an eyebrow.
"Huh… who?" Anko asked and Neji spoke.
"Hinata" Neji said; this made Anko's eyes widen for a moment but immediately went back to her cold stare at Neji as he continued "that boy… Naruto… I remember him; he was the one I told Hiashi was with Lady Hinata all those years ago, her friend". "I need to ask him where she's at" Neji said.
"What for?" Anko said "you going to kill her, take her back to Konoha; trust me, even if Naruto knew where she was at, he wouldn't tell you a damn thing".
"No, not to kill her… to apologize to her" Neji said making Anko go wide eyed "I realized I was wrong, she was not weak… I was". "I was blinded by my hatred of the main house of the Hyuga clan; I saw the hypocrisy and the irony" Neji said before getting a small smile "and seeing Hiashi in the state he's in… that broken shell of a body; I knew that everything I've been brought up to believe was nothing more than a lie". Neji had a tear fall from his face and he spoke "my father… died for nothing" he said.
"So why do you keep fighting?" Anko asked "is it stubbornness or pride". Neji shook his head and spoke.
"I wanted to beat you and go find Naruto; to ask him about Hinata" Neji said "and if he wants to kill me… so be it; as long as he delivers one final message to Hinata". Anko hearing this spoke to Neji.
"If you're serious; I can take you to Naruto, to ask him" Anko said and Neji went wide eyed.
"Really?" Neji asked and Anko nodded.
"Yes, you just need to do one thing first" Anko said and Neji spoke.
"Anything you want" Neji said relaxing his guard just for a moment.
Anko took this moment and blurred behind Neji and delivered an elbow to the back of his neck hitting his brain stem and knocking him unconscious.
"Just take a little nap" Anko said as she pulled out a scroll and placed it next to Neji; Anko made a hand sign and sealed Neji into the scroll before picking it up and rolling it back up. Anko paused and got a thoughtful look 'is this a wise choice; I mean… Naruto might kill him, or Orochimaru, or Kakuzu' Anko looked at the scroll containing an unconscious Neji and shrugged 'oh well; it's his ass not mine'.
Anko began to run north to catch up with the group with her new prisoner in tow.
With Kidomaru
Kidomaru was still fighting with Kiba as the both of them fought a fast paced taijutsu battle with Kiba slashed at Kidomaru with his claws and Kidomaru swinging his clubs.
Kiba slashed at Kidomaru who dodged and swung all 3 of his right arms at Kiba; Kiba ducked under the clubs and spun around to perform a sweep kick to knock down Kidomaru.
Kidomaru jumped above the kick and spat out another web hitting Kiba in the face; Kiba's eyes, mouth and nose were all blocked by the web as he began to struggle to take off the web from his face as he could not breath.
Kidomaru seeing Kiba struggling launched a series of attacks against Kiba; Kidomaru swung his left clubs at Kiba and hit him in his right shoulder, ribs and hip with the sound of his ribs cracking. Kidomaru went low and used a single club to hit Kiba in the knee causing him to collapse; Kidomaru finished his assault by swinging his club at Kiba's head hitting hard and knocking him off the branch they were on.
Kidomaru however saw the blow didn't kill Kiba as the web absorbed some of the force; Kiba slammed back first into another branch as stayed on his back as he used his claws to rip away the web.
Kiba finally ripped off the web and took a breath as he began to cough as he opened his eyes; Kiba's relief was short lived as Kidomaru made another bow and loaded an arrow. Kidomaru fired his arrow at Kiba who rolled backwards as the arrow hit and obliterated the part of the branch Kiba was just laying down on.
Kiba got to his feet and jumped up and began spinning 'Fang over Fang'; Kiba began to go towards Kidomaru in a gray vortex and Kidomaru got ready to defend himself.
Kidomaru fired a web from his mouth towards Kiba but Kiba avoided it and continued forward; Kidomaru loaded an arrow and was about to shoot at Kiba until he realized Kiba wasn't heading towards him. Kiba went towards the trunk of the tree Kidomaru was standing on and Kiba collided with the trunk; Kiba ripped through the tree like a chainsaw and the tree began to fall.
Kidomaru lost his balance as the tree began to tip over and fell off the branch he was on and began falling towards the forest floor; Kidomaru shot out a web from his mouth and stuck it onto a branch of another tree keeping him from falling.
Kidomaru thought he was safe until he saw Kiba coming towards him in another fang over fang "Shit" Kidomaru shouted as he began to excrete more of his gold substance from his chest and abdomen.
"TAKE THIS" Kiba roared as he collided with Kidomaru; Kiba slashed with his claws as he drilled into Kidomaru until they both hit the ground.
Kiba landed just as Kidomaru hit the ground; Kidomaru rolled across the ground a few times before stopping. Kidomaru still having his bow in his hands pulled back the arrow and fired it at Kiba; Kiba was not fast enough to dodge as the arrow hit him in the abdomen and sent him flying backwards.
Kiba hit a tree with the arrow sticking him to the tree trunk "Gah…FUCK" Kiba shouted in pain as he looked at the arrow; the arrow went in through his stomach which was bleeding profusely and came out his back sticking him to the tree about 4 feet off the ground.
Kidomaru got up slowly coughing up blood and hit his chest; pieces of his gold substance fell off towards the ground as it was broken by Kiba's attack. Kidomaru used it as a kind of armor to keep him from sustaining lethal damage; however from how labored his breathing was along with the pain in his ribs he could say he broke several ribs.
Kidomaru limped over to Kiba who was struggling to get free from the tree; Kidomaru stopped in front of him and spoke. "You know, I should kill you right now" Kidomaru said to Kiba who began to growl in anger and pain; Kidomaru looked at Kiba's wound and continued "but… dying of a gut shot is one of the worst ways to go". Kidomaru released his curse mark and turned back to normal "I guess I should get out of here" Kidomaru said as he began to walk away; Kidomaru stopped and turned to Kiba and spoke "guess you'll be hanging around for a little while eh?"
Kidomaru let out a chuckle before running off and Kiba shouted "You bastard, next time I see you I'll fucking kill you" Kiba roared as he tried to break free "come on!"
With the pursuit team
Shino, Sai, Ino, Choji, Lee and Tenten were all rushing through the trees as they tried to catch up with the sound ninja that were ahead; Shino was acting as the squad leader because even though Sai was a chunin he did not say anything the entire time they were on the move.
'What is he doing?' Shino thought in suspiciously 'why is he not worried about his comrade; does he have some kind of agenda we don't know about?'
Shino however was brought out of his thoughts when a flute melody began to play and everyone began to look around for the source of the noise. Everyone stopped as their world began to shift and everything began to look slightly inverted with some of them thinking the branches they were standing on were wobbling.
"Is that a flute?" Tenten asked as she looked around "where is that coming-"; Tenten couldn't finish her sentence as a figure appeared from underneath Tenten and grabbed her by her ankles and pulled her towards the forest floor.
"Tenten" Choji shouted before the same thing happened to him; Ino seeing Choji disappear shouted.
"It's a genjutsu" Ino shouted as she and the remaining members of her group made a hand sign "release"; everyone except Lee released the genjutsu with Shino having to do it for him.
When everyone was out of the genjutsu they all were caught off guard by a blur of pink. In the middle of the group heading towards Ino.
"Suck this Ino pig" Sakura shouted as she punched Ino across the face and knocked her off the branch to the ground below.
"Wait was that Sakura?" Sai said surprised.
"SAI, WATCH OUT" Lee shouted and Sai turned around just in time to see a club wielding Doki; Sai performed a back flip over the Doki's club and jumped towards the ground below with the Doki following him.
Shino and Lee were now alone and looking in all directions for the enemy "Lee" Shino said gaining his attention "we have another sniper in the area; my insect found them, she's aiming at us".
"What do we do then?" Lee asked and Shino adjusted his sunglasses.
"I want you to run north as fast as you can; I'll hold her off" Shino said and Lee nodded "On my mark…go"; Shino launched a swarm of insects off tot he went an a figure wearing a helmet began to run while firing a fire arrow at the swarm making it dispurse. Lee not wasting a moment began to rush north as the last member of the pursuit team while Shino went to face their last opponent.
'Now then; lets see if I can find you first' Shino thought as he ran to find the hidden sniper.
Back in Konoha; Hokage office: With Danzo, Fuu, Torune and Tenzo
Danzo was in his office speaking to 3 of his most trusted root members who just got back from a mission. Fuu, a Yamanaka who was a sensory ninja and skilled in the Yamanaka clans jutsu; Torune, an Aburame who used his rare nano-sized insects to great effect.
Lastly was Tenzo, one of Orochimaru's experiments to recreate the wood style kekkei genkai of the first Hokage; he was the only one to survive and was one of the strongest ninja Danzo had at his disposal.
As they were talking there was a knock at the door and someone walked in. Kakashi walked in and began to speak.
"Lord Hokage; I've just returned and-" Kakashi began but Danzo cut him off and stood up.
"Kakashi shut up; we have an emergency of monumental scale" Danzo said making Kakashi stop in his tracks "Sasuke Uchiha has been kidnapped from the village by Orochimaru; I need you to take Fuu, Torune and Tenzo here to pursue the group".
Kakashi went wide eyed and spoke "What? Sasuke's been taken; how could this happen?" Kakashi shouted and Danzo slammed his fist into the desk.
"There is no time Kakashi; get your ass in gear and head north and find the pursuit team" Danzo shouted back "Tsume Inuzuka is leading the ground; not get going".
Kakashi nodded and spoke "yes lord Danzo" Kakashi said as he looked at the 3 root ninja in front of him "lets go".
With Sakura and Ino
Ino crashed into the ground and skidded to a halt as Sakura landed a few feet away from her in a taijutsu stance; Ino got up and went wide eyed at who she saw in front of her.
"Sakura? You're behind this; you kidnapped Sasuke?" Ino said and Sakura looked at her impassively.
"This is just another job for me" Sakura said "although… taking him to Orochimaru for whatever he's going to do to him does give me some satisfaction". Ino growled as she reached down and took out a kunai and held it.
"I won't let you take Sasuke away from me billboard brow" Ino shouted "I'll die before you take away the man I love".
Sakura took out a kunai herself and spoke "I already kicked your ass once piggy; and this time there's no referee to stop us from killing each other" Sakura said narrowing her eyes "you want to die for that prick Sasuke… so be it".
Sakura and Ino both rushed towards each other as the sound of Kunai began to echo in the forest.
With Tenten and Choji
Both Tenten and Choji hit the ground to hit the ground hard and both got up to see two figures land across from them; Ukon and Sakon both stood across from Tenten and Choji and looked at them.
Tenten and Choji were both shocked by the appearance of the twin brothers in their final curse mark form "well brother; looks like we got a big fish… and a little fish" Ukon said looking at Choji the 'big fish' and Tenten the 'little fish'.
"You can take the big one brother" Sakon said while looking at Tenten "I think she'll be more of a challenge".
Tenten steeled herself as she took out a scroll and opened it; there was a puff of smoke and a katana appeared and Tenten grabbed it.
"Choji, get ready; we got to beat these guys" Tenten said and Choji nodded.
"Right" Choji said as he got into a taijutsu stance ready to assist Tenten in fighting the two twin monstrosities in front of them.
With Tayuya and Sai
Tayuya was playing her flute controlling her 3 Doki as she used them to attack Sai; Tayuya made her club Doki to attack Sai who was several yards away.
The club Doki swung it's weapon at Sai who jumped over the weapon and slashed at the summon with his short sword; before Sai's weapon could make contact the Doki swung it's fist punching Sai and sending him to the ground. Sai hit the ground and the claw Doki rushed at him and raised its hand to attack Sai.
Sai rolled out of the way as the Doki's claws punched into the ground as he got back up and the final Doki, the one wrapped in bandages and stood backwards rushed towards him and threw a kick.
Sai jumped over the kick and landed on the ground and took out his scroll and brush and drew some pictures before making a hand sign; suddenly from off the paper of his scroll 3 ink lions appeared and rushed towards the 3 Doki.
However they were all destroyed in one blow from each of them and Tayuya seeing this spoke up "is that all you got shit stain?" Tayuya said "Because it'll take a lot more than that to beat me".
Sai didn't say anything as he began to try and formulate a plan 'I have to beat her; I will not fail lord Danzo' he thought.
With Hinata and Shino
Hinata was running through the woods trying to stay as far away from Shino as possible; she did not want any direct confrontation because she didn't think she could beat Shino in a direct fight.
Hinata jumped to a tree and activated her Byakugan and looked to the south; to her surprise she saw Shino standing on a branch with his hands in his pockets.
'What is he doing?' Hinata thought; Shino then raised his hands into the air and spoke in a loud and clear voice.
"I give up; I'm calling to parlay" Shino said making Hinata go wide eyed "please come out; I will not attack you". Shino waited for a few minutes until he heard a noise off to his right; Hinata wearing her helmet and with her bow in her hand approached slowly at Shino on guard.
"Keep you're hands up; otherwise I'll shoot you" Hinata said trying to act tough but Shino merely looked at her.
"Really? After all we've been through together?" Shino said making Hinata flinch; Shino out his hands down and turned to Hinata slowly and spoke "hello Hinata… you seem to be doing well". Hinata began to panic and Shino continued "please take off the helmet; there is no reason to hide your face" he said in a calm tone.
Hinata hesitated for a moment before she reached up and took off her helmet while Shino stood there motionless "h-how did you know it was me?" she asked.
"I knew ever since the chunin exams" Shino said making Hinata go wide eyed as a insect flew over and Shino put out his finger to use as a pitch for it "despite hiding your face and changing your scent so Kiba couldn't recognize you; you cannot change your chakra familiarity". "Now then" Shino said kneeling down before taking a seat on the branch he was standing on "lets have a conversation; between old comrades?"
Hinata looked at Shino uneasy but relented; if Shino wanted to beat her he would've done so already.
Hinata took a seat on a branch across from Shino with about 4 feet in between them "t-that sound nice" Hinata said as she and Shino's battle stopped before it even began "what do you want to talk about?"
"You're a smart girl Hinata; you have better judgment than anyone else I know" Shino said before he reached up and removed his glasses and Hinata looked into his dark eyes for the first time "So what I want to know is… why you abandoned Konoha".
