That last duel did not go the way Team Mystic expected. It wasn't just because Felix lost, but it was also what happened to him. It was like he lost control of himself and acted like a completely different person. After the duel, they all went back to their team room to help Felix recover. It took a moment, but Felix was finally able to wake up and recover.
"He's awake!" Kent called.
"Felix, are you okay?" Cindy questioned.
"I've got a headache, so no shouting, Kent." Felix said as he sat up. "What happened to me?"
"You tell us. You were really out of control back there." Marcus said. It all started to come back to Felix and he remembered how he went ballistic.
"That's right... What happened to me back there?" Felix questioned as he couldn't understand it.
"I don't know, but now we're tied one to one." Marcus said. "Our only chance to stay in the tournament now is if Yukina can beat Yuxuan. Yukina, you've got to win!" That seemed like a tall order as Yuxuan is clearly a powerful opponent and won't be easy to defeat.
"Don't worry, guys." Yukina said. "We haven't lost yet. Team Fanrong surely is a powerful team, but I'm not going down without a fight. A fight that I intend to win." Yukina was still confident they can win this, and she's going to make sure that it happens.

Team Fanrong
Jaw-Long might have won his duel, but it didn't really feel like a victory. He was deep in thought as he thought over how that dueled played and couldn't understand it.
"What's wrong, Jaw-Long? You should be happy. You won your duel." Li-Jing said.
"Did I really?" Jaw-Long questioned. "Something happened to him near the end of that duel. I'm not sure what it was, but it was surprising. He acted completely reckless and careless. It just doesn't feel like I really beat him."
"But a win is a win. We're still in this, so now Yuxuan just has to bring it home." Muyang claimed.
"Muyang is right." Yuxuan claimed as he was getting himself ready for his duel as well. "There's nothing more we can do about Jaw-Long's duel. I too wish it felt like a victory, but what's done is done. For the honor of Fanrong, I shall bring upon the last win and show our might to the world." Yuxuan clearly takes the lessons of Fanrong to heart. Being the leader and their strongest duelists, he can only accept victory.

The Duel Field
"Here we go! It's now time for the final duel to decide who is in and who is out!" M.C. announced. "It's between Yukina and Yuxuan. These both are fierce and powerful duelists, but which one of these two will win it?!" Everyone was getting excited to see this duel. Yuxuan and Yukina stepped forward and were now ready to face each other.
"Are you ready, Yuxuan? Let's finish what we started, and there's no turning back this time." Yukina said.
"Yes, but you haven't seen what my deck is capable of. It is the deck that's been held sacred by Fanrong, and I've been entrusted to it." Yuxuan claimed. "I must win for what we stand for. My apologies, but I will not lose this duel. Your time in this tournament is over." This duel might be intense as they're both fighting for their own reasons.
"These two are ready to go! Time to see who will advance to the next round of the tournament! Now let's go!" M.C. announced.
"Let's duel!" They both said as they were now starting with 4000LP.
"The first move is mine!" Yuxuan claimed. "I'll begin my summoning Qui Beast!" He summoned out his beast to the field with it having 1500atk points. "Thanks to his special ability, I send two cards in my deck to the graveyard to summon the other two sleeping in my deck!" He claimed as he discarded his cards and brought out the other two. "With that, I can now tribute the three of them to summon out Sanxing Lu-Zi!" He summoned out the same monster he summoned before with 3000atk points.
"Oh man! I can't believe he already summoned it!" Cindy said.
"And that's only one of three." Felix said. "We don't know anything about the other two. Still, at least we know she won't take any battle damage from battling them."
"Yeah, but that one can deal damage when it does destroy a monster." Kent said. "Yukina is gonna have to get creative to beat that thing."
"I place one card facedown and that ends my turn. I'm afraid this duel is already over, Yukina." Yuxuan claimed.
"We'll see about that. My turn!" Yukina said. She drew a card and it was a particular monster. 'This might come in handy, but not just yet.' She thought as she looked over her options. She's got something that could help, but it might have to wait for later. "I summon Wild Ally Snake!" Her snake emerged with it having 1500atk points. "Next, I activate the Branch Species spell! This will help my snake to evolve."
"Evolve?" Yuxuan questioned.
"Branch Species allows me to summon peculiar fusion monsters." Yukina said. "It might be easier to show you. Watch as my Wild Ally Snake turns into a Wild Ally Rattlesnake!" She claimed as her snake transformed into a diamond-back rattlesnake with it having 1500atk points. "I might not be able to beat Lu-Zi, but I can still deal damage. By sending the top card of my deck to the graveyard, he can deal 400 points of damage!" She claimed. Her snake rattled its tail and unleashed a sonic attack with it blasting against Yuxuan and his life points dropped to 3600. "The best part is that I can do this twice per turn!" She did it again with Yuxuan getting hit by the sound and his life points dropping to 3200.
"Yukina managed to sneak around Yuxuan's defenses and managed to deal some damage!"
"Awesome! Yukina can't take on Lu-Zi, but she found a way to deal damage!" Felix said. "If she can find ways to keep that up, she's got this!"
"I'll end my turn there!" Yukina said.
"My move!" Yuxuan said as he drew his next card, and it was just what he needed. "I activate Sanxing Trilogy! Remember that there are three Sanxing, Yukina. Thanks to this trap, I'm able to summon a Sanxing straight from my hand when I already have one on the field!"
"Another one?! I have to deal with two of them now?!" Yukina said as she didn't like the sound of that. "Descend upon us, Sanxing Fu-Cai!" Yuxuan were able to summon out a monster that was just like the other one, but he wore a gold kimono and looked more elderly with him having a gray beard. He also had 3000atk points.
"There they are! Two of three of the Sanxing! With those two, Yukina is in real trouble now!"
"Lu-Zi, unleash your wrath and destroy her rattlesnake!" Yuxuan said. Lu-Zi attacked as light erupted right under her monster and destroyed it. "As you might remember, you also take damage equal to your monster's attack points!" Yukina took the attack and was blasted with her life points dropping to 2500.
"Thanks for that. My rattlesnake has the same ability as the original!" Yukina said. "When it's destroyed, the monster that destroys it loses 400atk points!" She claimed with Fu-Zi's power dropping to 2600.
"That won't help you. Fu-Cai, it's your turn!" Yuxuan claimed. Fu-Cai shined a divine light that shined against Yukina.
"Wait. What's the point? Your Sanxing can't deal any damage." Yukina questioned.
"The point is to use Fu-Cai's ability. When he attacks when I have less than 4000LP, he replenishes all my life points." Yuxuan claimed as his life points rose to 4000. That means Yukina's last turn was for nothing. This wasn't good for her or her team.
"Oh! Nice move by Yuxuan! It looks like all of Yukina's efforts aren't going to cut it!"
"Yukina doesn't stand a chance." Li-Jing claimed. "Between Fu-Zi's ability and Fu-Cai's ability, she won't be able to win. One deals damage while the other replenishes power."
"Her only chance is to eliminate all of Yuxuan's life points in one turn, and that will be most difficult to pull off." Jaw-Long said.
"Maybe, but let's not call it early. At the very least, we can enjoy the show." Muyang said.
"Oh man. How is Yukina going to win if Yuxuan is constantly regaining all the life points he loses?" Marcus questioned.
"At least those things won't deal any battle damage." Kent said.
"Yeah, but if Yukina loses a monster that has more attack points than her life points, Lu-Zi can finish this duel." Cindy said. "Not to mention there's still one more Sanxing that we don't know anything about."
"Maybe, but if there is a way, Yukina will find it." Felix said as he believes in her.
"That ends my turn." Yuxuan claimed. "As I told you, Yukina, you will not win. I represent all of Fanrong, a sacred facility that helped us become the duelists that we are today! You've seen the results of all that training! With that, I can't be defeated!"
"It's a little early for you to get cocky." Yukina said. "You're Sanxing might be something strong, but I don't have any intention of losing. I'm fighting for others myself, and that gives me the strength I need. I draw!" She drew her next card as she wasn't the least bit discouraged. "I activate Charitable Reward! I pay 800LP to draw two more cards!" Her life points dropped to 1700, but she was able to draw two more cards. However, neither of them were the cards she wanted. 'Where is it?' She thought as she stared down at the cards in her hand. 'I can't play the combo I need until that I get that card.' She clearly has something planned, but is she even going to last long enough to play it? "I activate the ability of Wild Ally Manta Ray! When this card is added to my hand by effect, I get to summon it straight to the field!" She summoned out a manta ray with it coming out and had 1000atk points. "It's got another ability! I can tribute it to special summon a Wild Ally in my hand, and I know just the one! Rise, Wild Ally Phoenix!" She called as she summoned out her ace monster as it emerged with 2500atk points.
"There it is! Yukina has brought out what I'm told is her ace!"
"Wild Ally Phoenix? Why would she summon that?" Yuxuan said as that was a questionable move.
"I place two cards facedown and that ends my turn." Yukina said.
"What's she doing? She has less life points than her phoenix's attack points. If Lu-Zi destroys it, it's game over for her." Marcus claimed.
"Unless those face-downs are game changers, but that's rather obvious. What is Yukina thinking?" Felix wondered.
'She obviously set some sort of trap, but what could she be plotting?' Yuxuang thought. 'Those two face-downs are the key, but what could she be thinking? Well, only one way to find out.' "I draw!" He said as he drew his next card. "I activate Blessing of the Sanxing! Since I have at least one Sanxing, I get to draw two cards!" He drew two more cards with Yukina and her friends worried he's going to summon the third Sanxing soon. "Next, I activate Sacred Gift! This spell card allows me to add any fairy-type monster from my deck and into my hand. I assume you know what card that was."
"The third Sanxing." Yukina said.
"That's right." Yuxuan claimed as he added the card to his hand. "There's more. From my hand, I activate the ability of Qui Maiden! If I send this card from my hand to the graveyard, I can activate the effects of another card in my graveyard. The one I choose is Sanxing Trilogy! That means that I am now free to summon Sanxing Shou-Shou!" Yuxuan summoned out his third Sanxing with all three on the field now. Shou-Shou was just like the other two with him wearing a blue kimono and had a long black beard with 3000atk points. Yuxuan now has all three on the field.
"Amazing! Yuxuan managed to summon all three Sanxing, but we shouldn't expect anything less from the best of Fanrong!"
"I will not hold anything back!" Yuxuan said. "Time to see what it is you are planning to do! Lu-Zi, attack!" Yuxuan took the risk and attacked.
"I activate Misconduct!" Yukina said as she played one of her traps. "This trap considers my destroyed monster to be done by an effect instead of battle!" She claimed with her phoenix still destroyed.
"Why would she play a card like that?" Marcus questioned.
"Because of her phoenix's ability!" Felix said. "Her phoenix will resurrect when it's destroyed by an effect, and since it was destroyed by an effect, Lu-Zi's ability can't deal Yukina any damage." That meant Yukina was safe.
'It's all good. Once my phoenix resurrects, I can activate my second trap: Burning Incarnation. It works with my phoenix.' Yukina thought. 'Once it resurrects, I can activate my trap and deal damage equal to my phoenix's attack points. Hopefully, I can deplete all of his life points by then.'
"Your second trap is probably something that helps you when your phoenix resurrects, but it won't be that easy. Shou-Shou, attack!" Yuxuan ordered. Shou-Shou gathered power into an orb of light and launched it with it detonating on Yukina's field. "When Shou-Shou attacks, all the cards on your field return to your deck!"
"Oh no!" Yukina said as that messed up her plans with her only card returning to her deck.
"It looks like Yuxuan just shutdown Yukina's little plan now!"
"Yukina, there's no way you can defeat me." Yuxuan claimed. "With the power of the three Sanxing, as well as the training I endured, I'm afraid it's impossible for you to win."
"Impossible? I wouldn't go that far." Yukina said as she was still keeping it together. "There's still a chance that one card could turn it all around."
"You honestly think you can still win?" Yuxuan questioned.
"I do because I'm not dueling for just myself." Yukina claimed as she looked back at her team. "I'm dueling for my team as well. We're both dueling for our own reasons, but that doesn't mean a duel is one-sided. So, let's find out! Since it's the end of the turn, my phoenix can come back thanks to it's special ability!" She claimed as her phoenix came back. "Now, let's see if I can turn this around!" Yukina drew her next card and it was just the monster she needed. "Perfect. I set the pendulum scale with scale 1 Wild Ally Mouse and scale 9 Wild Ally Vulture!"
"You can pendulum summon?!" Yuxuan said as he wasn't expecting that as both a mouse and a vulture appeared in pillars of light.
"I can now summon monsters from levels two to eight!" Yukina said. "I only need one. I pendulum summon!" She called upon the monster and it traveled through energy to emerge on the field. "Arise, Wild Ally Leviathan!" She summoned out a mighty blue sea monster with it having 2800atk points.
"Impressive, but you still can't win." Yuxuan claimed.
"Don't be so sure. I activate my mouse's pendulum ability! It gives one monster attack points equal to the difference of the scale by one-hundred!" Yukina said. "That means that my Leviathan can gain 800atk points!" Her leviathan gained power as it rose to 3600. "That triggers Leviathan's ability! When one monster on my field has it's attack points increase, another's can decrease by the same amount!" Lu-Zi lost even more power now as it's attack points dropped to 1600.
"But it's not enough." Yuxuan said.
"Watch and see, Yuxuan." Yukina said. "Wild Ally Leviathan, attack Lu-Zi! Tidal Stream Blast!" Her monster unleashed a torrent of water and blasted Yuxuan's monster with his life points dropping to 2000. "There's more! My vulture allows me to take a Wild Ally from my graveyard and add it to my hand if it has less attack points to the damage you took!" She said as she took a card back. "What's more is that my leviathan can now destroy all monsters with less attack points than him!" It wasn't just Lu-Zi, but all three of the Sanxing were washed away and were destroyed.
"No! This can't be!" Yuxuan said.
"That means my Wild Ally Phoenix can attack you directly and end this!" Yukina claimed, and that's just what happened. Her phoenix attacked Yuxuan and knocked all of his life points to zero.
"She won? She won!" Marcus cheered.
"This is... This is unreal! Yuxuan lost! The winners of this match is Team Mystic!" M.C. announced as the crowd couldn't believe it.
"It can't be!" Li-Jing said.
"We lost!" Muyang said.
"Yukina actually managed to defeat the Sanxing?!" Jaw-Long said as this was a hard pill to swallow. Yukina and her friends surely loved it.
"Yukina!" Yuxuan called. Yukina turned to him and he looked rather mad as he walked right over. They were worried on what he might do, but what he did was grab Yukina's arm and lifted it up. "Let's hear it for our winners! They are true duelists and have proven to be worthy contenders!" It seemed that Yuxuan was being a good sport with everyone cheering for Team Mystic. "I wanted to win for Fanrong. I believed I could, but I didn't. Defeat is a part of life. Even the divine have faced challenges. You've done well, Yukina."
"Thanks, Yuxuan." Yukina said as she was glad her first opponent in the tournament was an honorable man with China approving of their win.

The Airport
Now that their match was over, it was time for Team Mystic to hit the road and be ready for when their next match comes. At the airport, the two teams were parting ways on good terms.
"We believed we would win, but you have proven to be a greater challenge than expected." Yuxuan said. "We wish you the best in the tournament and hope you do well."
"Do come again." Li-Jing said.
"Don't be strangers. Let's do this again." Muyang claimed.
"It was an honor to face you." Jaw-Long said.
"It was a lot of fun. Maybe we'll see each other again." Yukina said as she and Yuxuan shook hands. "Well, time we got going."
"Wait just a minute." Felix said as it sounded like he had something serious. "Do you guys know anything about a set of cards called the Malicious Fiends? We're looking for them." That's right. In all this excitement, they almost forgot about their mission.
"Malicious Fiends?" Yuxuan questioned as it sounded like he didn't know.
"Actually, I have heard about one duelist that does use a card with that name." Muyang said.
"You did?! Who is it?!" Yukina questioned as they needed to know.
"I don't know his name, but his team is partaking in a tournament. In fact, the match he's suppose to be in is taking place in Egypt." Muyang said.
"Someone already has one of the Malicious Fiends?" Yukina said as that might be bad for them.
"Egypt is where we're heading. We need find has one of the Malicious Fiends." Felix said. "They might not even know what kind of dangerous power they have." He was right. It's time to get on with their mission and find one of the six Malicious Fiends, and they will very soon.
