Author's Notes: Hi, readers. I would like to present my first Ghostbusters fic. It is set fifteen months after Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire and shows Gary, Callie, Trevor, and Phoebe being very happy in their lives in which it includes the impending arrival of a baby, but they find themselves dealing with Callie's ex-husband stalking and harassing them. The idea for this fic came to mind when I wondered what would happen if a Ghostbuster's ex-spouse was causing trouble while the team was looking forward to the arrival of a member's baby. As a result, it was born. I was shocked to find there were no Podcast/Phoebe fics, so I decided to do one featuring them. I believe they made a great couple as he was her first real friend in her new town. I wrote a prologue as there was too many details to go over in chapters. I want to warn this fic has sexual content. Some of it will be intense. If that makes you feel uncomfortable, don't read the parts that have it. Otherwise, you may read it at your own risk. I hope you enjoy this fic. Constructive criticism is welcome.

Prologue
Fifteen months had passed since the Ghostbusters defeated Garraka. Business began booming for them almost immediately afterward. This enabled them to make much-needed repairs to the Firehouse and Ecto-1. The majority of New York City was happy to have them back. Some protested against them outside the Firehouse whenever they went out on a ghost bust. They called them kooks and frauds. They occasionally threw trash at Ecto-1 whenever it headed out. However, they were ignored. They were even called whack jobs for jumping on a hate bandwagon.
Walter decided to put his contempt for the Ghostbusters aside and ask them for help whenever a difficult haunting needed to be handled, especially if it occurred in or near his building. He was still concerned about Phoebe being part of the team due to her age. He told Gary and Callie that they were responsible for her safety during a meeting after they took care of a ghost that had been playing pranks on him and the vice-mayor, Ryan Cooper, in July 2024. He warned they would be arrested for child neglect if he heard she was severely injured on their watch. The couple agreed to the terms. He announced he would not be running for re-election. He wanted to retire and spend time with his family, especially his children, Max and Peta. His wife, Julie, was happy about that.
Gary proposed to Callie during a romantic dinner a month later. She was very surprised, but she accepted his proposal. Their friends and family were happy for them. He revealed he wanted to adopt Trevor and Phoebe as his own children. She was thrilled to hear that. She asked her children about this. Trevor and Phoebe were more than willing to allow him to adopt them as they considered him their father. They declared they never wanted to see their birth father, Dino Spitz, again. Gary and Callie married on September 26. He adopted Trevor and Phoebe a week later.
When Dana learned that Peter had been involved in fighting Garraka, she wasn't too thrilled. However, she commended him for working with the new Ghostbusters for a second time. She suggested they move back to town, so he wouldn't have to be far from the Firehouse. Though he enjoyed their life in upstate New York, he agreed to do so. They moved into a luxurious apartment on the Upper East Side in October. Their son, Oscar, and daughters, Jeanette Kaylee Venkman and Ronnie Justine Venkman, decided to join them a month later. Peter adopted Oscar not long after Vigo's defeat. Jeanette was born on July 1, 1991. Ronnie was born on August 25, 1993.
Podcast's parents, John and Kara Jung, found out he lied about going to space camp and was working with Ray in New York City instead when they saw the reports about Garraka's defeat. They were furious and confronted him when he returned home. They called him a good-for-nothing son. They told him to pack his bags and get out as he was no longer part of the family. He said he was fine with that as he never got along with them. He considered Ray to be more of a father to him than his own ever was. He returned to New York City and visited Ray, who was more than willing to take him in. He declared he never wanted to see his parents again.
Despite repairs were made to the containment unit, it became clear it would need more work done in the future due to its age. Lars suggested it should be expanded as it would take too long to build another new one. Winston agreed with it. They, Lucky, Ray, and the engineers built the new parts. They modified the unit and installed them within five days. The task was exhausting, but it was very satisfying as the team had plenty of space to put the ghosts inside now.
Podcast and Phoebe started dating not long after his permanent move to New York City. Gary and Callie were a little uncertain about their daughter having her first boyfriend at fifteen years old at first. They relented after they realized Podcast was a perfect match for her because he was her first real friend and always stood up for her when someone was cruel to her. Phoebe decided not to go out to dinner with the team to celebrate capturing two difficult ghosts in December. She said she was not feeling up to takeout. She asked Podcast to come over to the Firehouse and hang out. He agreed to do so.
Podcast and Phoebe spent the evening playing computer and video games in her room. They talked about how fun ghostbusting really was after getting tired of the latter. They kissed and looked at each other shockingly. They engaged in passionate kissing. They undressed each other and made love for the first time in her bed. He admitted to her that he loved her the second he met her. She admitted she felt the same way. They were very intimate with each other from then on.
Six weeks later, Phoebe was having dinner with her family and friends when she began feeling sick. She bolted for the bathroom and threw up everything she ate. She had cravings for food she wasn't fond of, including pickles and ice cream. She experienced bad mood swings. She and Podcast became suspicious and decided to get a pregnancy test from a local drug store. She took a sample of her urine. They found the test was positive. They realized she had gotten pregnant from their first night together or soon after. She feared her family's reactions once they knew. He insisted they tell them together to which she agreed.
Podcast and Phoebe gathered Gary, Callie, and Trevor in the kitchen the next day. They hesitated at first, but they revealed her pregnancy. Her parents and brother were very shocked. They became angry and fussed at them for not being more careful. Podcast and Phoebe apologized for their bad choice. She asked Gary and Callie if they would throw her out like his parents did with him. Gary told her they would never do such a thing as he and Callie loved her too much. Podcast and Phoebe declared they were keeping their baby. Gary, Callie, and Trevor told them they would be there to help them. Phoebe benched herself due to the potential of harm coming to her baby. She elected to be homeschooled by a private tutor, so she would not fall behind in her studies. Winston revealed he knew a retired teacher/tutor named Jerry Piker. He asked Phoebe if she wanted his help, though he mentioned Jerry did not teach during the summer. She admitted she did. He called Jerry about being her teacher. Jerry was more than happy to help.
Podcast revealed Phoebe's pregnancy to Ray, who wasn't too thrilled. He wondered if his friend would throw him out. Ray declared he would never do that because he thought of him as the son he never had. He did suggest that he move into the Firehouse, so he could be close to Phoebe and help her with whatever she needed. Podcast thought that was a good idea. He met with Gary and Callie about this. They agreed with him. He moved into the Firehouse three days later. He decided to be homeschooled by Jerry to keep up with his studies. He and Phoebe found themselves getting a little ahead of their peers.
Callie called the Taylor Merks Hospital for Olivia Juleson, who was an obstetrician experienced with teen pregnancy. She made an appointment with Phoebe for January 24, 2025. Podcast went along with them as he wanted to see ultrasound pictures of the baby. Olivia found that Phoebe was seven-and-a-half weeks along. She pinpointed a due date for September 6. Callie, Podcast, and Phoebe found this very interesting because the birth would occur a few weeks after the fall semester started. Olivia revealed she would give Phoebe an ultrasound every other month due to her age until she was in the final three months of her pregnancy. It would be every month after that.
Trevor and Lucky began dating not long after the first ultrasound appointment. Gary and Callie were thrilled as they thought the duo made the perfect match, especially since the latter had been brave enough to tackle Garraka head on right after his release. They did warn them to be careful whenever the couple became sexually intimate. Trevor and Lucky promised they would as they did not feel ready to have children yet. However, they did admit they were interested in introducing them to the business once they were of age.
Oscar, Jeanette, and Ronnie decided they wanted to fill in for Phoebe until after she recovered from giving birth a month later. Peter and Dana were uncertain about their children being Ghostbusters at first, but they relented when Gary and Callie offered to train them and promised to look after them. At Phoebe's May 20 appointment, Olivia revealed she was having a girl. This thrilled her and Podcast, who admitted he had always wanted to spoil a daughter.
Ray suffered a sudden seizure when he was cooking dinner for the team at the Firehouse five days later. He was rushed to Taylor Merks Hospital and was assigned to Kyle Hathaway. He was diagnosed with type-two diabetes. This saddened him as he was feeling his age and that it meant he would not be able to ghost bust as much as he wanted to. However, he was determined to keep it under control. He started to eat a modified diet and go on walks in Central Park nearly every day. He felt more energetic than he had been in years.
Phoebe began having terrible pains in her abdomen two months later. She was scared she was going into preterm labor, despite she had done everything she was told. She was rushed to Taylor Merks Hospital. Olivia happened to be on duty and examined her. Phoebe was told she was having Braxton-Hicks contractions to her and Podcast's relief. She was allowed to go home later that day and was put on bed rest for a week.
Podcast and Phoebe began looking forward to the birth of their daughter. They discussed baby names. They chose Gabrielle after the Amazon queen in Xena: Warrior Princess. Their friends and family thought it was the perfect name as it represented strength and perseverance. The entire group was ready to prepare for the baby's arrival. Little did anyone know that Callie's ex-husband would make his return.
