Felix's duel against Hungwe was set to be the deciding battle between Team Mystic and Team Storm. He might have won, but the way he won was less than favorable. Felix went on a rampage and wrecked the whole field. Something is seriously wrong with Felix. Even though he won, Felix ended up collapsing. His condition is so bad that he was taken straight to the hospital. Yukina and the others remained outside of his room and waited to see if his condition was improving.

"Yukina! Guys!" Tony called as he hurried to them. "How's Felix?"

"Asleep right now, but we're still waiting to hear about the results." Cindy said. "He's suffered some physical and mental damage. I just hope he's going to be okay."

"He went ballistic out there. What got into him? Thanks to him, we're still in the tournament, but he didn't have to take things that far." Marcus said.

"No, I know Felix. He would never have acted like that." Tony said.

"Tony is right." Yukina agreed. "Just look at the arena. It too suffered some damage from whatever happened. Whatever it was certainly wasn't normal. Something is happening to Felix. I just hope we can figure it out so we can help him." All of them want to help Felix, but none of them even understand what's going on. They need to do something or else the next time this happens could be even worse.

Felix

Whatever was happening to Felix, it was taking a toll on him. Not just physically and psychologically, but it was also affecting him mentally. He was in the middle of having a nightmare. In his nightmare, he was running as fast as he could. It was like he was running for his life, but that was because he was running from something chasing him. A dark mass was chasing after him and he just couldn't escape from it. Felix kept running, but the dark mass soon had him surrounded.

"It's useless, Felix. You can't escape from me." The dark mass said as it was forming a shape. It was forming a mirror image of Felix himself, but it looked evil.

"What is this?! Who or what are you?!" Felix questioned.

"You mean you can't tell? I'm you! I'm the darkness that's in your heart!"

"The darkness that's in my heart?" Felix questioned.

"Yes, and you will soon be mine!" The darkness claimed as it went right at Felix. The sudden shock got him to awake. If the problem is really inside of Felix, how can he fight it?

Justin

Whatever is happening to Felix is a serious situation, possibly dangerous for a lot of people. As the head of the WDA as well as running the Worldwide Supreme Tournament, Justin has to figure out what is happening for the safety of everyone. He did some research and tried to find something that could provide answers.

"Do not cross me!" He looked over the footage of what happened to Felix in his last match. He searched around for anything. It took a moment, but something soon came to him.

"Oh no! It can't be!" Justin said as this wasn't good at all.

...

The Hospital

Once Felix woke up, his team and Sabaro went and talked to him to make sure he's okay.

"So, I managed to win? I'm sorry, guys. I sort of blacked out and don't really remember anything." Felix said as Sabaro was cutting up some apples for him.

"The important thing is that you're okay." Yukina said. "At least we're still in the tournament. What matters right now is that you try and get some rest so that you will be ready for our next match."

"Does that mean our next opponent has already been decided?" Felix questioned.

"You shouldn't worry about that right now." Sabaro said as he handed Felix some apples. "You need to focus on recovery."

"Thank you." Felix said.

"Maybe if you eat something good, you won't go crazy like you did before." Kent said.

"Kent!" Everyone scolded.

"What? Eating right can really make the difference in your body." Kent said. Felix was already starting to feel relaxed seeing his friends. However, just as Felix felt safe...

"You can't escape!" Felix heard a voice and looked around as to where it might be coming from. "I'm over here!" Felix looked to the side and saw a mirror image of himself just like in his dream. Now that darkness was actually talking to him.

"What the heck?!" Felix questioned.

"Felix? What's wrong?" Yukina questioned as they all turned to him. Just then, Felix felt a sharp pain right in his head. He held his head and was in a lot of pain.

"Felix, what is it?!" Marcus said as his friends were getting concerned.

"I'll get the doctor!" Sabaro said as he hurried out.

"You can't escape from me, Felix. I am like your shadow. Everywhere you go, I will go. You might as well come to me, and surrender yourself to me."

"No! Never!" Felix shouted as he tried to keep the image away from him, but it just looked like he was going crazy. The pain in his head was intense for him that he dropped to his knees.

"Felix! Hold on!" Yukina said as they all tried to help him, but Felix kept screaming in pain. It seems that the darkness is trying to take a hold of Felix and Felix is trying to resist, but it might be destroying him.

Later

The doctors came in and helped Felix. They needed to have him sedated to prevent him from going crazy again. As they all had him and tried to figure something out, his friends were getting really worried. All of them waited just outside and were really concerned now.

"What could be going on with him?" Marcus questioned.

"I can't take this anymore. What is happening?" Cindy questioned as they all wanted answers now. They asked and they shall receive.

"I can tell you. I believe I might have found something." All of them were met with Justin.

"Sir?" Sabaro said as they all were wondering what he knows.

"Let me show you something. There's something you all need to see." Justin said as he had access to a computer. Once he got it started, he brought up what he found. It started with a duel they were all familiar with.

"Hey! That's when Yukina dueled Raika at Duel Battlers!" Kent said.

"That's right." Justin said. "During Yukina's duel against Raika, Raika absorbed too much power from his victims and began to lose control of himself." He claimed as he showed that very moment. Raika had Life Destroyer absorb more power than Raika could handle and the dark power was taking him over. "Now, take a look at this. This is when Felix lost control in his last match. Take a good look at both Raika and Felix." He brought up the moment Felix lost control and compared it to when Raika was loosing control of himself. What they saw was shocking.

"It can't be! They look similar!" Kent said.

"What does that mean?" Marcus questioned.

"This is what's going on with Felix. It would seem that dark power from Life Destroyer is now inside Felix." Justin said with all of them shocked to hear something like that. "As you recall, Felix dueled against Raika himself and lost. My theory is that Felix's duel against Raika is what brought this upon. It's been quiet and settled up until recently. The intense competition must be causing the darkness to awake."

"Are you saying that Felix is being taken over by the darkness just like Raika almost was?" Sabaro questioned.

"Hold on! A lot of duelists faced Raika! Why is Felix the only one this is happening to?!" Yukina said. "I wondered about that myself until I came across something. Felix was the only one who took a direct attack from Life Destroyer." It all came back to them. When Felix dueled Raika in duel battlers, he took a devastating direct attack. "Felix must have been exposed to a lot more dark power than most people when that happened, and that could have been what caused all of this. It also seems that the dark power in Felix is growing." That sounded terrible. Knowing how dangerous that power is, they're all getting really worried about Felix now.

"This can't be..." Yukina said as she can't believe one of her closest friends is being taken over by darkness like this.

"Knowing all of this, I'm left with no other choice." Justin said with a heavy heart. "Felix will be removed from Team Mystic." All of them can't believe this.

"Sir, you can't be serious!" Sabaro said.

"You can't do that!" Yukina said.

"It's too dangerous to let things continue like this." Justin claimed. "It's obvious Felix can't control this power. Look at what happened in the last match. The next time could be worse. For the good of everyone, Felix must be taken off the team."

"No way! That isn't fair! It's not his fault!" Marcus said.

"Felix isn't just a teammate that's replaceable! He's our friend!" Yukina argued. "There has to be a way you can let him stay!" They all want Felix to stay on the team, but it looks like Justin has made his decision.

"Cindy and Kent, I'll let you two decide who should be a permanent full member and take Felix's spot on the team." Justin said.

"What?!" Cindy said.

"No way! We don't want to take Felix's spot on the team!" Kent said.

"Please, sir! There has to be another way!" Cindy said. "We don't want to go on without Felix."

"Come on! This whole thing isn't fair to him!" Yukina said. "None of this is Felix's fault! We should be looking for a way to help him, not talk about having him replaced!"

"I understand how you all must feel, but the fact is that it's too dangerous." Justin said. "As the head of the WDA, and the WDA is sponsoring this tournament, I have to think of what's best for everyone. I have to think of everyone's safety. What if Felix loses control again? It could be worse than last time. I'm sorry, but this must be done."

"There has to be way." Yukina said as she tried to think of one. Just then, she thought of only one person that might be able to help. "Raika!" She said with all of them looking at her. "If the dark power from Life Destroyer is what caused this, then we need to find Raika who has Life Destroyer. We could study it and find the cure."

"Examine Life Destroyer?" Justin said as he thought about it. "It is ideal because we need to know how to counter that power. We've been trying to find him for months now. This would work both ways."

"Of course that means we need to find Raika first." Sabaro said. "No one has seen him since Duel Battlers ended. He could be anywhere."

"We have to try for Felix's sake." Yukina said. The whole team was in full agreement with this. Raika might be the only one who can help Felix now. What none of them knew was that Felix was awake and he understood enough of what was happening out there.

...

Team Mystic

"Poor, Felix. I can't believe this is happening to him." Cindy said. Later that night, visiting hours ended and they had to leave. "Do you really think we can cure him?"

"Do you really think Raika would even help us?" Kent questioned.

"I'm not sure, but anything is better than having Felix be thrown off the team." Yukina said. "We have to hope for the best, and hopefully it will be before our next match."

"Speaking of our next match, isn't there a way to tell who we're facing? We're going into a fourth round. There can't be that many left, could there?"

"I already talked to Sabaro and had look." Cindy said. "It turns out...our next opponent might actually be Team Camelot."

"Team Camelot?!" Yukina said as they were surprised to hear that their finally going against their biggest competition.

"That's right. We're finally going up against Team Camelot." Cindy said. When she said that, something popped into Yukina's mind.

"Hey! Maybe we don't even need to find Raika!" Yukina said. "We've learned that there's more than one Malicious Fiend out there. Maybe we just need one, and not Life Destroyer specifically."

"Yeah. That makes sense. That way, we might find a cure for Felix a lot faster." Marcus agreed.

"But we're going to have to defeat Camelot for Arthur to help us." Cindy pointed out. That was a good point, and if they have to duel with one less member, they're in real trouble against Team Camelot. Just then, Cindy was getting a call. "Hello? Sabaro? What?! Felix has left the hospital!" This just keeps getting worse for them.

...

Felix

Felix got his clothes and snuck out of the hospital. Now that he's aware of what's going on, he has to do something. He can feel the darkness in him growing, and it's starting to affect him both physically and mentally. He needs to do something about it before he becomes a danger to everyone.

"Sorry, but I need to go on ahead." Felix seems to be thinking the same thing. He can only hope he can make it.

...

Meanwhile, in another part of the world, something else was going on. Taiyo, a powerful duelist and acquaintance of Yukina, was making his way through the mountains. As he made his way through the place, he came across someone that was in the middle of some rather intense training.

"I finally found you." Taiyo said and got the guy's attention. "Raika..."

"What do you want?" Raika questioned. Raika was found sooner than expected. He might really have the answers to help Felix.
