Hey, guys! I've been sitting on a revision of this story for a while now. So, without further ado, here we go.
In the eight years since the fall of Lord Voldemort, the British Wizarding Community had been rebuilding itself, in an attempt to move on from the violence and destruction that Voldemort and his followers had left in their wake. The families of those affected, both light and dark side, tried their best to put the past behind them.

Seventeen-year-old Ari Haswari gazed out his window into the bright Summer sky, lost in thought. The sweltering afternoon heat kept him from going outside much, but he still flew for as long as he could, as it was the only thing that could distract him.
From the day he first arrived at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he was the subject of whispers and scorn. Why? Ari Haswari was the son of a particularly vicious Death Eater named Eli David. Ari tried his hardest to bring redemption to his family name, and he seemed to be doing a fairly decent job at it: Slytherin House Quidditch Captain, Prefect, and reigning Hogwarts Duelling Champion, with ambitions of becoming a Healer when he left Hogwarts. A faint tapping drew Ari from his thoughts, and he saw his owl, Tohar, had finally returned. Unmistakable was the letter that the owl carried with him, bearing the Hogwarts crest.
Ari opened the letter, and immediately exclaimed in surprise. He had been made Head Boy.

Caitlin "Kate" Todd was an ordinary girl on the outside. On the inside, however, Kate was anything but ordinary. She was a witch, entering her final year at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Her parents were surprised when she was accepted to Ilvermorny, mostly because her family were what American Wizards called "No-Maj," meaning that they possessed no magical blood at all. Her mother was a lawyer, and her father was a United States Marine, currently serving in Iraq.
Kate kept to herself at school, despite the fact that she received top grades in all of her classes. She had ambitions of becoming an Auror for the MACUSA (Magical Congress of the United States of America).
The mail arrived, early, as it usually did during the Summer, and Kate was quick to spot a letter from Ilvermorny, most likely the new booklist.
Alright, so I'm going to leave it there for now. This is the re-upload of my old "Of Magic Assassins" story. As usual, be sure to follow and fave if you enjoy!
