The duel between Team Mystic and Team Camelot has reached its climax. They are now in the final duel that will decide who is still in the tournament. Marcus lost against Chester, but Felix was able to beat Stephanie.
"Team Mystic has done well in that last match. Both teams might be tied one to one, but now we're going to see Arthur himself inaction."
Forgive me. I brought shame." Stephanie said as she sought out forgiveness.
"I can't believe they were able to make it this far." Chester said.
"it's all fine. At least there they put up some sort of challenge." Arthur said. "The overall victory is what matters, and we'll have it." He went out on the field and felt like he found a worthy opponent.
"It's all on you, Yukina." Cindy said.
"He'll probably use his Malicious Fiend soon. After Life Destroyer, do you think you can handle his Dark Warrior?" Kent questioned.
"Don't worry. I've got this." Yukina said as she went out on the field.
"It's Yukina vs. Arthur in the third round. As great as these teams are, only one can win. Time to find out who that is!"
"I congratulate you and your team for making it this far. However, I'm afraid this is where it ends." Arthur claimed.
"You don't scare me, Arthur." Yukina said. "If you won't hand over your Malicious Fiend, the least I can do is make sure you can't hurt anyone with it. Bring it, your royal pain!" Both duelists were set now.
"Let's duel!" Both of them said as they were getting started with 4000LP.
"I'll make the first move. It might give you a chance to fight back." Arthur said. "I'll start by playing my field spell: Mausoleum of the Emperor! By paying life points, I don't need to tribute my monsters. So, I pay 2000LP to summon out my great warrior!"
"You're brining that out already?!" Yukina said.
"I don't like to waste time! I summon Malicious Fiend: Dark Warrior!" Arthur said as he now had 2000LP with his great and vicious warrior emerging on the field with 2800atk points.
"He brought it out already?!" Marcus questioned.
"I doubt he give up so many life points just to summon it." Felix claimed.
"Your friends are right to be concerned." Arthur claimed. "I activate the trap: Dark Partition!"
"You can activate a trap from your hand?!" Yukina questioned.
"I can. When a card effect causes me to lose life points, I can activate this card. I can activate it from my hand when it's one of my own cards that does that." Arthur explained. "This trap restores the life points I lost and causes you to take that as damage." Suddenly, there was a power surge that caused life points to change. Yukina now had 2000LP and Arthur to have all of his back.
"No! It's only the first duel and Yukina already lost half of her life points!" Cindy said as this wasn't good.
"With that, I end my turn. Please make this entertaining. It might be the only chance you get." Arthur said.
"As expected, Arthur has flawlessly pulled off an impressive move. I don't see how Yukina can top that."
"Maybe I can't, but that doesn't mean I can't fight back. My turn!" Yukina said as she fought on. "I'll begin by summoning my Wild Ally Badger to the field!" She summoned out her badger as it came out with 1900atk points. "Since I also have a Wild Ally on the field, I can special summon my Wild Ally Bison!" She summoned out her bison with it having 900def points. "I think I'll add one more to party. Since you have an active spell on the field, I'm free to special summon my Wild Ally Dingo!" She brought out another beast with it having 2000atk points. "My dog is just like my leopard, except it works for your cards. Meaning, as long as you have an active spell, like your field spell, he can't be destroyed or targeted by your effects."
"Trying to set a little defense, are you? It won't help." Arthur claimed.
"But this might! My badger attacks!" Yukina said as her monster went straight for the attack.
"Yes! If this works, Arthur will take all the damage!" Felix said.
"But it will not. I use my warrior's ability to switch your badger to defense mode and negate all of its abilities!" Arthur said. His warrior emitted pressure that forced Yukina's badger into defense mode with it having 0def points.
"You mean you can use that during my turn?!" Yukina said as that could be a problem.
"That's right, which means you won't be able to take away any of my life points." Arthur said.
"Yukina might be a skilled duelist, but even she won't be able to remove any of Arthur's life points." Chester claimed.
"He's aiming for a perfect victory." Stephanie said. "With him, it will be done."
"I end my turn. Come on,Arthur. Give me your best shot." Yukina dared.
"Very well. Whom am I to disappoint a lady. My turn!" Arthur said as he drew his card. "I activate my warrior's ability! The problem is which one do I use it on. Decisions, decisions." He taunted. "Do I use it on the strongest, the most troubling ability, or the lowest attack points."
"Just make your move." Yukina said.
"Very well. I'll use it on your dog so you can't protect yourself with it." Arthur said as her dingo switched modes and had 200def points. "Now, Dark Warrior, destroy her badger! Chaos Demise!" He had his warrior attack as it slashed down and destroyed Yukina's badger. "With that done, I can now activate Guillotine Slash! Thanks to this spell, I can destroy one monster on your field after an attack. I'll destroy your dingo this time since his ability was negated!" A giant blade came down and destroyed Yukina's dingo. "I'm sorry. You might be a lady, but I shall not show mercy. With that done, I'm placing one card facedown and ending my turn."
"Do you think Yukina can really pull off anything against that thing?" Marcus questioned.
"There might be, but only she can figure that out." Felix said. "Dark Warrior's ability can negate special abilities, so Arthur will probably use it for when it's convenient, or to stop an attack. Yukina just need to watch for that."
"My turn!" Yukina said as she took her turn. I'm playing my Charitable Reward spell! By paying 800LP, I can draw two more cards!" Yukina drew two more cards as her life points dropped to 1200. and they're just what she might need. "I'm playing my Wild Fusion spell! Thanks to this spell, I'm fusing the Wild Ally Phoenix with the Wild Ally Leviathan that's in my hand!" She took her two monsters and began to fuse them together. "I fusion summon Wild Ally Shimmering Phoenix!" She summoned out her mightiest phoenix with it having 3500atk points. "I'm activating my phoenix's ability! Since my leviathan was a level eight monster, your warrior loses 2400atk points!" Het phoenix unleashed a bright light that burned against Dark Warrior and his power dropped to 400.
"This can't be! Arthur's best monster is so weak!"
"I'm also going to switch my bison to attack mode!" Yukina said as her bison changed modes and it had 1500atk points. "Here I come, Arthur! My bison will attack!" Her bison charged right in and tried to attack.
"Yeah! He'll have to use his warrior's ability to stop it! That will give her phoenix the chance needed to destroy it!" Kent said as Yukina might have it now.
"Did you think I wasn't prepared for that? Why do you think I didn't use my warrior's ability to stop your phoenix?" Arthur taunted. That didn't sound good. "I play Majesty's Intimidation! It switches all your monsters into defense mode!" He played his trap and caused both of her monsters to switch modes with them now having 2800 and 900def points. "I'm also allowed to add one warrior to my hand. I think I'll go with my Black Sparta."
"That spoiled brat is just toying with Yukina." Kent said with frustration.
"Yukina has to think of something or else he's going to win without trying." Marcus claimed.
"This duel isn't over just yet, Arthur." Yukina said. "I place two cards facedown to end my turn!" She claimed with Dark Warrior's power returning to normal.
"My turn!" Arthur said as he drew his next card and thought he toyed with her long enough. "I'll equip my warrior with Gravity Archery." With that spell, his warrior now had a bow with arrows. "Thanks to this spell, I can change the battle position of your monsters and you won't be able to change them back. I think I'll use Dark Warrior's ability on your phoenix, and my spell on your bison!" His warrior fired an arrow and it planted in the ground and emitted a force that changed its battle position. His warrior did the same with his own power. "I think it's to end this. Dark Warrior, attack her bison and end this!" His warrior switched weapons and aimed to end this.
"I activate Over the Line!" Yukina said. "This trap cuts the damage I take by half of your monster's attack points! That means that I'm not taking any damage!" She claimed as the impact still passed through and destroyed her monster. "What's more is that I can draw one more card!" She said as she drew another card.
"All you've done is delay your demise, but my turn isn't done yet." Arthur claimed. "I summon Black Sparta!" He summoned out a smaller gladiator warrior with it having only 900atk points. "However, he's not staying. By tributing him, your phoenix is finished!" He claimed as his warrior became a dark light and blasted her phoenix with it destroyed.
"You might think you blocked my phoenix's abilities, but that only works when my monster remains on the field." Yukina claimed. "Since my phoenix was just destroyed, I can resurrect my regular phoenix to the field!" She claimed as her phoenix came back with 2000def points.
"I'm afraid no matter how much you try, you won't win." Arthur claimed. "You see, in my family, winning is like breathing. Our family strives for perfection, and you just simply can't beat perfection. It is the destiny of my family to win at everything."
"Are you serious?" Yukina questioned. "Arthur, no body is perfect. You can't expect to win all the time. That sounds...rather boring."
"Excuse me?" Arthur questioned.
"Is that why you have that card? Is it just so you can keep winning?" Yukina questioned. "Sorry, but that's not how it works."
"I'm sure you have something that will save you, but let's have a look as to what that might be." Arthur said. "I activate the spell known as Merlin's Eye! Since I sent one of my own monsters to the graveyard, this spell allows me to see your facedown cards!" He played his spell and could see the trap Yukina had. "Interesting... I'll end my turn there."
"My move!" Yukina said as she fought on and thinks she can still win. "The card I drew is Wild Ally Roadrunner! When I draw this guy, I can summon it and draw one card!" She claimed as she brought out her runner with 1400atk points and drew one more card. "Now that I have him on the field, I can now summon my Wild Ally Giraffe!" She summoned out her giraffe with it having 900atk points. "Thanks to my giraffe's ability, I can bring back my Shimmering Phoenix!"
"I think not! I use my warrior's ability to stop your giraffe's ability and switches its battle position!" Arthur said as he managed to put a stop to her plans as her giraffe changed modes and it only had 400def points. "I see what you were planning. Your trap card is Wild Stampede. With that trap, you can tribute monsters to destroy one card one my field and I take 300 points of damage for each one. You were planning to sacrifice three to leave me open for a powerful monster to finish me, but now it won't work. You need four monsters to do that this turn, but now I'm sorry, but this duel is mine." Arthur has toyed with her and hindered all her efforts. It might really be over.
"Actually, I'm glad you did that." Yukina said with him baffled. "Your warrior's ability would have been a problem, but now I'm in the clear! I now build my circuit!" She had the circuit appeared behind her and all three of her monsters dived into the arrows. "I link summon Link 3 Wild Ally Spirit Phoenix!" She summoned out her phoenix with it having 2800atk points. "When my Spirit Phoenix is summoned with no monsters next to her links, I can resurrect my phoenix again!" She claimed as her phoenix came back. "Now that I have that done, my Spirit Phoenix gains it's attack points!" Her spiritual phoenix gained power and now had 5300atk points.
"This can't be!" Arthur claimed.
"Sorry, but it is." Yukina claimed. "Wild Ally Spirit Phoenix, attack!" Her phoenix went on the attack as it flew straight at Dark Warrior and ignited it in flames. Not only was the warrior destroyed, but Arthur's life points dropped to 1500. "It's over! Wild Ally Phoenix, attack him directly and end this!" Her regular phoenix went on the attack as it dove straight at Arthur and attacked him. The attack connected and Arthur lost the last of his life points.
"It can't be..." Chester said flabbergasted.
"Arthur lost..." Stephanie said.
"I... I was actually defeated? This just simply can't be!" Arthur said as he's never experienced defeat before. He didn't know what to think.
"This is unprecedented! The winners are Team Mystic!" They really did it! They managed to beat their greatest adversaries in the tournament now.
