In hindsight, I would have been better off making this chapter part of the prologue. Oh well. Next chapter we start the entrance exam, so I'm excited for that.

Peter had finished his interview. The next hour was pretty bothersome, as all the reporters asked questions he couldn't or wouldn't answer. What exactly was his quirk, how did he come to Japan, and why was he a vigilante were some of them. He had made it through however. All the reporters were gone and his job was finished.

So why…

"Why am I still here? What do I have to do next?"

Peter was currently in the press room, though instead of reporters, it was filled with heroes. Some he had seen, others he hadn't. One was a large man with a flaming beard, another had giant red wings on his back, and one guy looked like a massive samurai.

"Mr. Parker, you have to understand this isn't all about you. You gave up being a vigilante, yes, but I can't just allow you to join my school. You need to do something for us. Answering our questions would be a good start." Mr. Nezu offered.

"Okay, fair enough. So what's the first question?"

"How did you get here? Don't think your little entrance went unnoticed. A teenage boy in a high tech suit crashes into the street like a meteor and you thought nobody would question it?" The flame-beard guy said.

"That's...a complicated question. One I don't feel comfortable answering in front of many of you. Besides you likely won't believe me anyway. As of now, there are only 5 people in this room I'd be willing to give that answer to."

Flame-beard looked enraged, but then a guy who looked like a ninja broke in.

"And who exactly are those 5 Mr. Parker?"

"Mr. Nezu, Mr. All Might, and Mirko, because I trust them. Mr. Tsukauchi, so he can confirm I'm not lying. And Ms. Recovery Girl, to prove there's nothing wrong with me when you inevitably think I'm crazy."

"Is the answer really so unbelievable?" Nezu thought.

"Alright, my turn." Wing guy spoke. "What's the deal with your powers kid? I still don't know the full extent of your quirk. You caught Death Arms' punch like it was nothing."

"Well, first you'll have to explain what a quirk is. I get they're kind of like super powers, but is there more to them?"

It didn't take a genius to figure out everyone's thoughts based on their expressions. "He doesn't know what quirks are?"

"I assume you not understanding quirks has something to do with how you came to our city?" Snipe asked, to which Peter nodded. "Well, as you said, quirks are powers people are born with. The first ever quirk was bioluminescent skin, held by a baby born in China. Since then, the number of quirks has only increased, and currently 80% of the world's population has quirks. They can be anything, from having red skin to controlling the weather."

"Oh, well in that case I don't have a quirk."

Silence filled the room. For about 3 seconds anyway, then everybody started yelling.

"Stop bullshitting, we've seen the news reports!" Flame-beard's voice broke above everybody else's.

"You said quirks are powers people are born with. If that's the case, I don't have a quirk. I was born powerless." Peter shrugged as he answered.

"What are you talking about? Then how do you explain your powers?" Hound Dog growled at Peter.

"The short answer would be that I was bitten by a radioactive spider, and now I can do whatever a spider can. That includes super strength," He lifted All Might with one hand as he spoke. "Sticking to any surface," Peter jumped to the ceiling and walked upside down. "Along with superhuman speed, reflexes, durability, my senses have been dialed to 11, and I can shoot extremely strong webs from my wrists."

Peter decided against telling them about the spider sense.

Everybody was speechless. This kid held so many quirks, most of them already extremely powerful on their own. And he said he got them from a spider bite?

Everybody present turned to Tsukauchi, who nodded his head. No lies detected.

"Okay, so why do you hate us?" Kamui asked. "You've made it very clear you don't like any of us heroes aside from Mirko and All Might. Is there any reason for that?"

"Because you're not heroes." Peter responded immediately, his voice cold. Every hero present was about to angrily demand what he meant, but Peter cut them off.

"As I've said many times, a hero is somebody who does anything they can to help people, no matter how small the task may be, without asking for anything in return. Many of you in this room have turned away from 'small' crimes like bike theft, or can't even be bothered to stop and help somebody who's lost their way. You should be doing everything you can all the time."

He paused to allow his words to sink in, then continued.

"I've spent the last 2 days using my free time to go through news feeds, magazine articles, and anything else that gives me information about this world, and I can confirm the only proper heroes in this room are All Might and Mirko. They're heroes because they want to help people, the rest of you do it because you want something. Flame-beard over there just wants fame, to be the greatest hero. Many of you just want money, or benefits. I could keep going, but it'll only make me angrier. None of you are proper heroes because none of you are in it just because you want to help people."

Flame-beard looked furious, as did the other heroes Peter had called out.

"I have a lot of stuff I need to take care of. I'll give you all my phone number, so just text me later if you have questions. Right now, I need to talk to the 5 I mentioned earlier."

"Fair enough Mr. Parker. If you would, everyone, please leave now. I will personally speak to all of you at a later date to clear up anything else you are uncertain of."

At Nezu's words, though they were unhappy about it, most of the room's occupants slowly shuffled out.

All except All Might, Nezu, Recovery Girl, Tsukauchi, and Mirko.

"Now why is it you needed everybody else gone for this young man?" Recovery Girl asked gently.

"Simple. I don't trust them yet, and they'll just think I'm crazy. Honestly, I don't fully trust you or Mr. Tsukauchi yet either. I assume I can put my trust in you for this?" Peter asked pointedly. Both of them nodded their heads.

"I only agreed to this in the first place because there might be copies out there. Who's to say this universe doesn't have it's own infinity stones, it's own Thanos? If there's even a small chance of that, these people need to know."

"What I'm about to say cannot leave this room, no matter what. I don't care what national secrets, hidden treasures, or criminal information you or anybody has. I guarantee this is the single most important piece of news anybody in your history has ever shared." Peter told them gravely. The group, realizing how serious this was, moved closer to hear better.

So Peter told them everything. From getting beamed up to the space donut, to meeting the guardians of the galaxy. Who Thanos was, what he wanted, what was at stake. He told them of the infinity stones, and how he had died on Titan, only to die again on Earth what felt like 30 minutes later. How he found himself in the void before landing on the street.

"Nearest I can figure, the stones created a surge that ripped a hole in my dimension, which my soul went through because of the orange stone. From there, I thought I was in a void, though it could have been space and I just didn't realize it because my suit has oxygen reserves. I died in my world and was brought to this one."

Peter noticed their skeptical faces. "I told you you wouldn't believe me."

"It's...a bit much, young Parker." All Might spoke almost nervously. "Tsukauchi? Chiyo?"

"He...he hasn't told a single lie." Tsukauchi looked pale.

"And his vitals are fine. No concussion, tumors, or any sort of sickness that would affect his mental state." Recovery Girl didn't look any better.

"So this Thanos exists here too?" Nezu asked Peter.

"No, er, yes, I mean...I don't know. Nothing I've seen in this world so far is familiar. But if there's even a tiny chance Thanos exists here, that's a problem."

Nezu was silent for a few moments before he spoke again.

"I understand your concern Mr. Parker, but you shouldn't worry. If one of these infinity stones existed on Earth, it would have been found by now. And our space program is underdeveloped compared to yours. We do not have the means to travel to other planets to fight this Thanos, though I have a feeling we wouldn't have to anyway."

"So...another dimension huh? Does that make you an alien?" Tsukauchi joked.

"Um, well, I don't...Look, I have a lot to do, so if you don't have any more questions, can I just leave? Please?" Peter pleaded.

"Of course Mr. Parker. I'll see you in 3 months for the UA entrance exam." Mr. Nezu answered kindly.

"Thank you sir." Peter bowed and left.

He made it a few meters out the front door of UA before he noticed he was being followed. Turning, he saw Mirko.

"Um, do you need something?"

"Today's moving day, remember? Get your crap from your alleyway then follow me."

"Oh, that's right. I totally forgot."

"Okay. It shouldn't take long. I really don't have that much." Peter laughed a little as he spoke. He led Mirko through the city, catching a few stares from the people on the street. He had gone on national TV twice now, once after beating many heroes by himself, and again to announce he was entering UA. For better or worse, everybody knew who he was now.

"We're here." They reached Peter's 'home,' still made up of broken tech and half-made inventions. As promised, it didn't take long. Peter gathered up his inventions and whatever tech he could still gather parts from.

"What about your fancy suit? Where's that?" Mirko raised one eyebrow.

"Oh, I've already got it." Peter set down his belongings and unzipped his jacket, revealing the spider-shaped container. Tapping it twice, his suit formed around him. Mirko couldn't hide her surprise at this, her eyes going wide.

"What the fu- No, you know what? Not the weirdest thing that's happened today. Let's go kid."

Sending the nanotech back into its compartment, Peter picked up his stuff and followed Mirko.

As time went on, he grew more and more worried. Was her house big or small? Would his presence affect her life or annoy her? Peter hoped he wouldn't cause her too much trouble.

After about 20 minutes of walking, they reached an apartment complex.

"Is this where you live?" Peter was a bit surprised this was where the number 5 hero chose to reside.

"Course it is. Not all us heroes need a big mansion to be happy. I'm not like that damn Endeavor who has to buy out 3 city blocks for his house."

Peter decided not to mention that his mentor lived in a massive skyscraper visible from any point in Manhattan.

Climbing a few flights of stairs, they reached their destination on the third floor. The inside was fairly spacious. There was plenty of unused space, and there appeared to be an extra bedroom. Looking around, it actually reminded Peter a bit of the apartment he shared with May.

"Before you settle in, let's get a few things clear. First, you do not ever go in my room for any reason." She gestured to a door at the end of a short hallway. "Second, I do not cook. If you're hungry, either order takeout or make it yourself. Lastly, I don't know much about teenage boys, but don't annoy me too much. Don't be too loud, or jump around the walls or anything. Think you can follow my rules?"

Peter nodded his head.

"Good, then there won't be any problems. Welcome to castle Mirko."

She walked off to her room, closing the door behind her. Peter stood in the center of the room for a few seconds, not sure where to go. Eventually, he just decided to go to the vacant room. Inside was a small bed, a desk, and an old dresser. Setting his belongings down, Peter sat at the desk and looked out the small window.

"Doesn't seem like a bad place to live, and Mirko seems nice enough." He whispered to himself.

He then remembered what Mr. Nezu had told him before he left UA.

"3 months huh? Guess I'd better start learning."

Peter spent most of his time studying. In a few weeks he had mostly perfected his Japanese and was decent enough at reading and writing, though his handwriting needed work. He practically killed himself with his history lesson, but it was necessary since he knew nothing about this world.

Whenever he wasn't studying, he was training. He could no longer fight crime, but it turned out that there were gyms for people like him, with reinforced punching bags and super fast treadmills.

3 months practically flew by, and before Peter knew it, he was in front of UA, ready for the entrance exam. A sea of students were flooding the doors, showing just how many people wanted into this school.

"Hey!" Peter turned towards Mirko, who had taken him here. "You better pass. If you can beat me, you'll do fine here. You fail, and I'll put you right back on the street."

Peter smirked a little. "Don't worry Mirko, I'll be fine."

Peter walked away and stopped in the center of the courtyard, staring up the building in front of him.

"Well, if I've got to go to school, may as well make the best of it."

And scene. I know a lot of you will be unhappy about Peter telling those 5 about his life. But in every fic I've read where there was a Spider-Man/MHA crossover, either everybody knows or nobody knows. I decided to do it differently and make it so that Peter has a small group of people he can talk to. And don't worry, I will NOT be doing a Thanos subplot. This will just be the Spider-Man version of the MHA events. Side Note, who do you think should be part of Peter's squad? I'm thinking Midoriya and Kirishima at least, but tell me who else you think should be part of it.

Aren signing off.
