Sooo...

I know I said this chapter would be short. I didn't lie. At the time, I fully expected this chapter to be short. But then I kind of ran away with it and had way more fun than I should have so now...

It's really damn long.

Peter was nervous. How could he not be? At the moment, he was standing in front of Momo's house holding a briefcase, the girl in question staring at him with concern. He couldn't blame her. He looked ready to pass out. It felt like his collar was strangling him.

Earlier that day, he had told Mirko he was going out to talk business with the Yaoyorozu's. She barely looked surprised.

"Not even at UA for a week and he's already making deals with the richest business people in Japan. Why am I not surprised?" She had grumbled to herself while smiling.

Peter was so confident his plan was going to go well. He still was, but his nerves were stopping him. Whenever he met people like Momo's parents, he became a mess. He stammered constantly, apologized for every little thing, and was just a general wreck.

He still remembered the first time he met Mr. Stark. The memory made him cringe.

Peter shook his head a few times. Deciding he wasn't going to get anywhere just standing here, he nodded to Momo, who swiped some kind of card to open the gate in front of them.

They walked side by side up to the mansion Momo lived in. Peter knew she was rich, but this was insane. Opening the large doors to the home, Peter was amazed by the massive entry hall.

Momo led him through the house, his mouth and eyes wide open in surprise. Was this a dream? Was he really in a house this big? Mr. Stark's house wasn't even this big.

"Peter?" Momo's voice snapped him out of his daze.

"Y-yeah Momo?" He answered a bit distantly.

"We're here. Are you ready?"

They were standing in front of an ornate door with a gold knocker on it. Peter nodded to show he was ready.

Momo pulled the knocker back and hit it against the door a few times. A few seconds later, an elderly butler opened the door from the other side. Inside the room was a large, circular black table. One of the 'walls' was gone, replaced instead by floor to ceiling windows. There was a gold chandelier hanging overhead. And sitting at the table was a balding man with small goat horns, along with two people Peter assumed were Momo's parents.

Her father had short black hair, soft eyes, and flawless skin. Her mother also had short hair, though it was brown. Her eyes were much sharper, and she had frown lines on her face.

Neither of them were smiling or saying anything.

"...What am I supposed to here? Do...do I bow? I'm not good at making the first move."

"Um, h-hello, Mr. and Mrs. Yaoyorozu. M-my name is P-Peter Parker." He stuttered out, barely keeping his composure.

"Pleasure to meet you Mr. Parker. Our daughter told us a lot about you yesterday." Her father spoke. Finally, his face softened, allowing a small smile. Her mother did not smile, though her frown did slightly fall away.

"S-s-she has?"

"Well of course. Not to brag, but we have many important things to do. It takes a lot to get a meeting with us. She told us how you're top of your science and math class, and about your nanotechnology." Her father continued.

Peter gave Momo a sideways glance. She stared at him sheepishly.

"I'm sorry. It just came out." She whispered, ashamed of her actions.

"Uh, w-well, please forgive me, but I would appreciate it if you would keep that to yourselves. It isn't really something I want getting out. It isn't perfect yet, and could cause serious problems if I released it as is." Peter lied. He hated lying, but it was better than Momo's parents trying to replicate it or coerce him into giving them the designs.

"Of course Mr. Parker. We're not like those cruel businessmen who make their fortunes through scams. If you don't want it getting out, we'll keep the information close." Her father reassured him.

Peter felt a weight come off his shoulders. He was relieved to see how kind Momo's father was. He still wasn't sure about her mother though. Even now, her frown still hadn't dropped.

"Now, we hear you want to make a deal with us."

"Oh, yes sir." Peter got his stammering under control, more relaxed around this man than he was before.

Peter set his briefcase on the table and opened it. Inside was his Iron Spider compartment, a large container about the size of a gallon jug filled with a white substance, and a tiny chunk of dark grey metal that emitted a faint glow.

Momo's parents looked intrigued by the case's contents but remained silent. Peter picked up the filled container and showed it to them.

"My…'quirk' allows me to do many things. One of them is the ability to create webs from my body." He showed them his wrists, specifically the white patches his webs came from.

"I'm sure I don't need to tell you this, but spider silk is extremely powerful. A strand as thick as a pencil can stop a small airplane." [1]

"Of course, that's only with SPIDER silk. My quirk may give me spider-like abilities, but my silk is my own. It's dozens of times stronger than silk made by any spider."

Peter then pulled out his nanobot container, forming only the mask and setting it on the table. Activating a few commands, it beamed a hologram between him and Momo's parents. The hologram showed recordings of Peter using the silk to do things such as restrain criminals, stop falling cranes, catch helicopters, and pick up shipping containers. [2]

Momo's parents looked very impressed. Her mother's frown finally fell away, though she still didn't smile.

"As you can see, my silk is extremely strong. It's also completely fire and heat proof, has limited resistance to acids, has more tensile strength than any other substance out there, and is very tough to break. However, it's main weakness is that it dissolves after 2 hours, so it isn't good for long term projects."

Momo's father seemed intrigued by the silk.

"Where are you going with this Mr. Parker?"

"I want to give you this silk." They both appeared surprised by his statement. "Not for free of course. You see I have 2 offers for you. Sir, are you ready to record everything?"

Peter turned to the silent lawyer, who nodded his head.

"The silk in this jar is artificial. I've studied my webbing for a long time, and I've been able to recreate it with a certain chemical mixture. This artificial silk doesn't dissolve and remains strong until it is destroyed. However, it's not as strong as my organic silk, and has a weaker resistance to fire and acids. If you want the artificial silk, I'll trade you the chemical formula. If you want the organic silk, we can work out some sort of trade system where I store and share with you a certain amount each month."

Momo's parent's considered this, eyeing the silk in the jar Peter held.

"This sounds very impressive Mr. Parker, but how do we know it's real? For all we know, those videos were forged and that jar you're holding is filled with some failed science experiment." Her mother finally spoke. Her voice was cold and critical.

"It's reasonable for you to believe that. I've noticed you have a multitude of butlers here. By any chance do any of them possess strength or fire quirks?"

Mr. Yaorozu stared at Peter for a few seconds before motioning to the butler who opened the door. The older man nodded and left the room. A few minutes later, he returned with two butlers. One was very large and the other looked normal.

"Please Mr. Parker, demonstrate for us." Mrs. Yaoyorozu's cold voice sounded again.

Peter nodded to her. Uncapping the container, he reached his hand in and pulled it out, now covered in webs. He wrapped them around both of the men before capping the container, storing the small amount that was left.

"Just try your hardest to free yourselves." Peter instructed.

The butlers looked at Mr. Yaoyorozu, who nodded. The large man began straining against the webbing, trying to tear himself free. The normal looking man ignited his arms, burning through his sleeves.

The butler with the fire quirk took about 2 minutes to burn through the webs, while the large man took twice that to tear through them. Momo's parents seemed impressed by the weaker webbing's strength.

"And now, my organic webbing." Peter aimed his wrists at the two men, covering them in webs. He was careful to use the same amount that he had used with the artificial webbing. He then gave them the same instructions, to try and break free.

This time, the butlers were stuck.

The large man strained as hard as he could, forcing his arms apart and clawing at the webbing. He barely removed a tiny portion of it. As for the fire-man, he made no progress whatsoever. He continuously made his flames hotter and hotter, making the room's temperature rise. Momo's parents both pulled out handkerchiefs and dabbed at their foreheads.

After 10 minutes of neither of them making progress, Mr. Yaoyorozu motioned for them to stop. Peter then walked up to them and easily tore the webbing from their bodies.

After Peter returned to his seat, the rich man waved the two men out of the room.

"As you can see ma'am, my webbing is no fluke, It's a very powerful substance that you could definitely market. However I have a few things I would like to make clear."

The goat-horned lawyer had been taking notes ever since Peter explained the webbing's capabilities. Now he pulled out a separate notepad, clicking his pen and motioning for Peter to continue. It was a bit unfortunate, but obviously, Peter couldn't afford a lawyer. Everything would be done with the Yaoyorozu's lawyer, so Peter would need to carefully review everything the man wrote down later.

"First off, it may not be used as a weapon. My webbing is mine to use in combat. I don't want to see it being used in combat support items. However, I have no issues with it being used as a protective of some sort."

They both nodded their heads, not seeing a problem so far.

"Secondly, there is obviously a use for my webbing in construction and renovation. I'm sure you'll do a good job explaining my natural webbing's time limit and the artificial webbing's weakness to heat. But, I understand things can go wrong, mistakes can happen, and warnings can be ignored. In the event that my webbing is used in some sort of project and something goes wrong, I don't want it coming back to me. Once you have the webbing, it's yours. Any and all problems that arise will be blamed on and solved by you.

Again, they nodded. That could work in their favor as the boy had explicitly stated the webbing was theirs once they had it.

"Finally, I want to be part of any potential meetings that come up. The webbing is made by me and provided to you, which makes me a business partner. Whenever you want to distribute it to a new benefactor, share it with one of your partners, or license it as something new, I want to be part of whatever meeting is held. I'm not asking for a cut of the profits, I just want to make sure my product doesn't go to the wrong people."

They raised their eyebrows at that. This boy had thought far ahead. He made sure they understood the position he wanted and that he would be an important business partner.

There was one thing that caught their attention more than anything else.

"Mr. Parker, you said you don't want a share of the profits, yet you admitted there would be a large market for this, a fact I agree with. Which means you have something big to ask in return." Mrs. Yaoyorozu summarized.

"Indeed. Your product is interesting and you have given us many reasons to consider your offer, yet you haven't spoken a word of what you want from us. What exactly are you after?" Mr. Yaoyorozu inquired.

"Well see, that's the whole reason I asked Momo to request she be allowed to sit in on our meeting." Peter gestured to the raven-haired girl. "You see this meeting isn't just about me and you. It also concerns her. More specifically, her quirk."

He received 3 sets of cold eyes at his statement.

"Maybe that wasn't the best way to phrase it." Shaking off his mistake, Peter continued.

"I have something very special here. Something nobody else on the entire planet has."

Their cold gazes turned to disbelief. He couldn't blame them for that. What could a high school student possibly have that nobody else on the planet had?

Peter reached into his briefcase and pulled out the final item. The dark, faintly glowing, pocket watch-sized lump of metal.

"This...is vibranium. The rarest metal on Earth."

Peter hadn't just sat around doing nothing that first day at the development studio. While he was replacing his lost nanobots, he had also studied his Iron Spider suit. During that time, he extracted the 3% of the suit made of vibranium and replaced it with more carbide steel. That was the only reason Midoriya's smash had caused the suit so much damage. Though the amount was tiny, it was enough.

Peter had studied it very closely, using powerful microscopes, all sorts of scanners, and any other tools that were available to him. Eventually, he finally mapped out the exact, highly complicated molecular makeup of the near-indestructible metal.

Now, he only needed a way to get more.

"Vibranium, as I said, is the single rarest metal on the planet. Even influential people such as yourselves would be lucky to get even a passing glimpse at it."

"Mostly because it probably doesn't exist here. This tiny nugget I'm holding is the only vibranium in the entire world."

"Vibranium is practically indestructible. It's hundreds of times stronger than steel and only a third the weight. It's completely resistant to extremely high temperatures, extreme cold, electric shocks, and corrosive substances. It's also totally vibration, impact, and sound absorbent."

Now he had their attention. Momo's parents were slightly leaning forward in their seats, eager to hear more.

"Talking is one thing, but it's better to show you."

Mr. Stark had wanted Peter to study, so he downloaded footage of his battles into Peter's suit for him to review. That included footage of him fighting with Captain America.

And against Captain America.

The holo-display showed Cap and his shield, said shield taking an insane beating. It was blown up, struck by large objects, burned, and frozen, with nary a scratch, dent, or blemish to mark it's surface.

Mr. and Mrs. Yaoyorozu looked shocked, their faces disbelieving. They stared back down at the small nugget in Peter's hand. Was it truly so powerful?

When the hologram went down, Peter returned the mask to the compartment, and returned the compartment to the briefcase.

"Any questions?" He asked the shocked business leaders.

Mr. Yaoyorozu silently opened and closed his mouth a few time before responding.

"You must want something great. To offer us such an amazing product with such reasonable rules, and then to show us...this." He gestured to the vibranium nugget. "You can't be asking for anything small."

Mrs. Yaoyorozu then broke in.

"I'll give you a billion yen right now if you hand over the vibranium."

"DEAR!"

"MOTHER!"

Both Momo and her father raised their voices in surprise at Mrs. Yaoyorozu's impressive declaration. Peter only frowned. Her willingness to part with such a large sum of money meant she was interested. That could make this problematic.

"Unfortunately, Mr. Yaoyorozu was correct, I am asking a lot. In exchange for some sort of deal with my webbing, I will not be giving you any vibranium."

Momo's mother looked annoyed.

"Child, do you understand what I've just offered you?"

"Yes, and I'm thankful you made me such an offer. But I won't accept it."

"Then you can leave." She replied firmly, her frown back on her face.

"Please ma'am, hear me out. No matter what offers you make or what threats you deliver, I won't change my mind. But, in exchange for what I'm asking for, I'll go through with the deal to give you my webbing. I can walk out of here losing nothing while you'll have gained nothing, or I can tell you what I want, and we can both get something out of this."

The older woman thought for a moment. She gave Peter a sharp look before nodding for him to continue.

"I guess those business lessons with Mr. Stark paid off."

Having successfully sweet-talked her into allowing him to continue, Peter went on with his proposal.

"My offer from before stands. I will give you the artificial webbing formula along with a certain monthly amount of organic webbing, along with the 3 conditions that I mentioned before. Vibranium, you see, has an extremely complicated molecular structure. I doubt the world's greatest geologists, chemists, and biologists all working together could recreate it even with the knowledge of it's atomic structure."

He paused to allow them time to think on his words.

"After careful study, I have found that molecular structure, and I'm confident I've noted it down perfectly."

The Yaoyorozus both paled. They understood now. Right from the start this boy held all the power. He had everything he needed to make sure this meeting went his way. He had a tempting offer, evidence of the worthiness of the offer, and a counter-bargain that only he could exploit. Ever since he walked into this room, the boy sitting in front of them was controlling everything.

They just didn't realize it until now.

"That's the reason I need your daughter's quirk. In exchange for my webbing, she would recreate the vibranium for me. Of course, I won't be forcing her to make absurd amounts every day. It'd be a similar deal to that of my organic webbing, where a small amount is made every month, along with a small amount right from the start IF we can reach an agreement."

The Yaoyorozus nodded. It all made sense. A tempting offer to distract them from the vibranium. There was one problem though.

"What is there to stop us from requesting our daughter to use her knowledge to create this metal for us once we reach an agreement?" Mrs. Yaoyorozu cocked an eyebrow, believing she had exploited a loophole.

"And that's the whole reason I asked Momo to organize this meeting in the first place. Of course, I could have just asked her to make the vibranium for me, but then nothing would have stopped her from supplying you with your own supply, which would lead to the vibranium being mass-distributed. So, here's the deal I'd like to make you."

Peter leaned forward, clasping his hands together on the table.

"In exchange for my webbing, as long as both you and Momo herself agree to this, once a month Momo will make a certain amount of vibranium for me to work with. The molecular structure will stay between me and her, and any vibranium created will be entirely my property. Momo may not share either the formula or the metal itself with you, your business partners, or anybody even remotely connected to Yaoyorozu Industries, now or in the future. Any breaches of this agreement, and I'll immediately stop supplying you with organic webbing and sue you for breach of contract. Not only that, but if I'll reclaim all notes, research, and products involving my artificial formula. If I find any evidence that you've hidden away anything of the sort or are continuing to do business with them, it'll only be worse."

The Yaoyorozus thought on this offer.

"And before you answer, I would like to repeat what I said earlier. It would be preferable to have more vibranium, but I don't NEED it. I could walk out of here right now and not lose a thing, but you'd be missing out on a prime marketing investment that would surely make you plenty of money. So I think it's in the best interests of both me and you if you accept this offer."

Peter leaned back in his chair, finished with his presentation. All that was left now was to wait for an answer.

"Mr. Parker, you'll have to excuse us for a moment. We have some things we need to talk about."

Mr. Yaoyorozu rose from his seat and exited the room. He was followed by his wife, Momo, and their lawyer. Peter was now alone with the elderly butler.

10 minutes later, they came back into the room. Sitting down in their respective chairs, Momo's mother spoke first.

"How much of this vibranium will our daughter be required to make each month?"

"As I said, I won't be working her to death. Besides, I'm only using it for nanotech at the moment, so I don't need much. If this deal goes through, she will immediately supply me 100 grams of vibranium, and then 1 kilogram every month, with a single kilogram being added to that amount with every month that passes until it reaches 10 kilograms, where it will stay forever. Not increasing, not decreasing. The monthly amount can be given all at once or throughout the month, so long as I receive the proper amount."

Momo's parents considered this before turning to their daughter.

"Is that alright with you dear?" Her father asked.

Momo, too, thought about it before responding.

"That amount shouldn't affect my hero training at all, so I'm fine with it."

"Excellent. Now for our side." Her mother spoke up. "Your conditions are reasonable, Mr. Parker, especially since you do not want a share of the profits, so we will agree to them. As for the trade, we would like your artificial webbing formula, along with a payment system of your organic webbing each month. How much webbing can you produce before it takes a toll on your body?"

"The most I can make all at once before I start producing less totals to about 3000 square meters of webbing. I'm perfectly fine again after about an hour of rest." Peter responded.

Mrs. Yaoyorozu paused before answering. "Then here is our offer. Right from the start, you will supply us with 1000 vials of similar size to the one you showed us. You have until the end of the week to deliver those to us. In the first month, you will supply us with another 1000 vials, and the number will go up by 100 until it reaches 3000 vials, where it will stay. No decreases, no increases."

Peter didn't even need to think about it. He knew that number was well within his capabilities.

"Done. One more thing. This contract can be dissolved at any time and we will go our separate ways. But in the event of that happening, I want a second contract, with two conditions. The first is that even if we split apart, Momo still will not share either the molecular structure or the vibranium itself. The second condition is that we will have a 2 year agreement. Our partnership must last at least 2 years before either of us may dissolve it. Also, this deal will not be over once both contracts are drawn up. I will be carefully looking over both of them to make sure there are no loopholes for you to exploit. Additionally, copies will be made that I will personally keep. Only after I have observed the contracts, will our deal be complete. Do you agree to the conditions?"

Once again, the Yaoyorozus, along with their lawyer, left the room. This time, they were gone for only about 30 seconds before returning.

"Mr. Parker, you have a deal." Mr. Yaoyorozu smiled and extended his hand to Peter. Peter returned a smile of his own, shaking his hand.

"I like you kid. You're going to be a big player in the business world. I can tell."

"Indeed." Mrs. Yaoyorozu broke in. "Even at your young age you show a remarkable talent for business. Should something happen and you are down on your luck, feel free to contact us. We'll work out some sort of deal." Finally, she smiled at him.

"Actually, I'd be willing to take that offer now."

All 3 Yaoyorozus stared at him in surprise.

"I'm sure you saw my...controversial...speech a few months ago." He received nods in response. "My views haven't changed. I still think it's wrong for a hero to accept money for helping people, something any able person should be doing. I've gotta pay my bills somehow though, so I may as well get paid for a job, instead of accepting rewards for my responsibility."

Nobody knew what to say. To balance hero life and a job, a job in business no less, was nearly impossible. This boy would have a hard life indeed.

"You're an interesting one, Mr. Parker. I'll be sure to keep a close eye on you." Mr. Yaoyorozu shook his hand again, his smile growing warmer.

"Please sir, my friends call me Peter."

The older man was taken aback, but he quickly recovered.

"Alright then Peter. As soon as you're out of school, I'll contact you for a job."

"We look forward to having your bright mind in our company." Mrs. Yaoyorozu bowed politely.

"Thank you ma'am. I look forward to working with you.

Outside Yaoyorozu manor

Momo had walked Peter out, saying it would be rude to leave him alone.

"You sure you're alright with this? 10 kilograms isn't a small amount you know?" Peter asked her, concerned.

"I'll be fine Peter. My body can handle plenty of use from my quirk." She reassured him.

"Okay then, if you say so. I've gotta get home. After I was late that one time, Mirko gave me a curfew. She'll kill me if I break it. I'll see you at school tomorrow Momo." Peter walked off, waving goodbye to his friend.

"Goodbye Peter." She waved back before retreating back into her home.

[1]: That's actually true, look it up. Spider silk is one of the strongest materials on the planet.

[2]: For the sake of plot, let's assume Peter has had the Iron Spider for a while and that it records what he sees.

STOP! Don't say it. I know, I know. Peter's an idiot, this chapter is stupid, and I'm a terrible story teller. I've heard it all before. Before you dash to the comments to rant about what a shitty writer I am, do me a favor and skip to chapter 16, "A Short, Important Notice." Thank you.

I'll be taking Christmas off from this story, so I'll try to write as many chapters as I can tomorrow. Thank you for reading and remember to leave a review.

Aren signing off.
