I don't own Disney's The Owl House. I do, however own the OC known as Danielle Hopkins. Hope you all enjoy my story on this lovely show.
Chapter Thirty-One
It has been a few days since King learned the truth. Though whenever Aster tried to tell King he was a Titan and everything, he was interrupted one way or another. Same thing still when trying to tell Danielle about her heritage. Danielle though was still recovering, her wound still tender. Danielle's hair was gaining back its silver white color and the markings were faded. Everyone in the house were on Danielle, keeping her from doing anything heavy. Luz even by then was able to glue the missing piece of King's horn to his horn, which Eda had kept all these years.
"Bored bored bored-bored-bored," said Danielle, sitting at the table in the kitchen. "So bored."
"Well, until you're healed, you gonna be bored," said Luz, before hearing Eda break her alarm clock. "Sounds like Eda's up."
"Wanna trade a Pokémon later?" asked Aster, staring at Danielle.
"Sure, why not," said Danielle, affectionally rubbing Aster's head.
"Yes!" said Aster, excited.
"Hey, girls. Hey, Aster," said Eda, entering the kitchen. "Beans! We ran out of apple blood. Still no luck?"
"None. And I was up all night. I read every tome, book, notepad, and tea leaf," replied Luz, looking at Eda. "But nothing explains how to make a portal to the Human Realm."
"Some of the ingredients may be lost to time," said Aster, looking at Eda. "Or archived by my older siblings."
"Drat!" said Danielle, gently slamming her head on the kitchen table. "Ow."
"Danielle," said Luz and Eda, staring at Danielle.
"I know," said Danielle, looking away.
"I wish I could help ya, kid," said Eda, looking at Danielle and Luz. "My door was already pretty old when I found it."
"How long did you have it?" asked Luz, looking at Eda.
"Well..." said Eda, only to hear Lilith scream and running towards the living room with Danielle, Luz and Aster.
"Help... me," said Lilith, as feathers were sprouting all over her body.
"Calm down, just calm down," said Eda, grabbing an elixir and feeding Lilith it. "The curse acts stronger when you're stressed. Much like Danielle and her situation."
"Mmmm," said Danielle, grumbling.
"That was... horrible. How have you managed all these years?" asked Lilith, before smacking her lips. "And are the elixirs different from usual?"
"Those are my original ones," replied Danielle, helping Lilith to the couch. "More potent, one less ingredient, still disgusting."
"I'd say," said Eda, before looking at Lilith. "It's been hard, but since we split the curse, at least the elixirs are working again."
"That's a relief," said Lilith, before becoming terrified seeing her hand missing.
"Got it," said Danielle, grabbing Lilith's hand and gently placing it back on. "There."
"Oh, yeah, sorry. Side effect of the curse. It's actually fun once in a while," said Eda, looking at Lilith. "Now don't worry. I've stashed elixirs all over the house. And the girls always have a few on hand. Whenever you start feeling feathery, just help yourself to one of these bad boys."
"I had no idea this is what I did to you," said Lilith, regretfully. "I am so, so sorry."
"Eh, at least I got company now," said Eda, handing an elixir over to Lilith. "And you got me if you need anything."
"Okay, Eda," said Danielle, walking outside with Eda, Luz and Aster. "You were saying before Lilith screamed and everything."
"Right, as I was saying, I've had the portal door for years," said Eda, looking at Danielle and Luz. "But I originally just found it in the dirt. Never figured out who made it or where it came from. I just kept it to myself."
"Why wouldn't you tell anyone?" asked Luz, looking at Eda.
"Think about it Luz," said Danielle, looking at Luz. "What would happen if…"
"Okay, I'm getting it," said Luz, looking at Danielle.
"Well, I may have been using it to hide from someone," said Eda, looking at Danielle and Luz.
"Who were you playing hide and seek with?" asked Aster, looking at Eda.
"Probably me!" replied Gwendolyn, in the distance before a strong wind blows and a tornado comes through.
"Whoa… Procne," said Danielle, seeing a hawk come out of the tornado alongside an elderly lady.
"Procne? Video game," said Luz, looking at Danielle as she slightly giggled.
"Hello, little witchlet," said Gwendolyn, spreading her arms wide as she walks over to Eda. "Come here."
"Gwendolyn," said Eda, stopping her mom from approaching any further with her hand on her head.
"Oof. Are we still on that?" asked Gwendolyn, looking at Eda. "I'm your mother. Call me "Mom"."
"Mom?!" said Danielle, Luz, Lilith, and Aster, looking at Gwendolyn.
"It is so good to see you again," said Gwendolyn, squeezing Eda's face with her hands. "How are you feeling? Are you eating well? I heard all about the Petrification Ceremony. Trust me, I have a lot of strong words for that Belos."
"I'd stay away from that man," said Danielle, staring to the side. "He has no love for this world."
"What?" said Gwendolyn, confused.
"Mother!" said Lilith, jumping onto Eda then standing before Gwendolyn. "Mother, you know, I was there too."
"Oh, hello to you too, sweet flea," said Gwendolyn, touching Lilith's hair. "Still dyeing your hair, I see. Well, it's very sleek. Now give me a moment with Edalyn, dear. It's important."
"Lilith," said Danielle, seeing the sad expression on Lilith's face.
"That's right!" said Gwendolyn, posing. "Today, I am about to complete a 30-year mission."
"We finally got our answer," said Danielle, whispering to Luz.
"Yup," said Luz, popping the p.
"Oh, no," said Eda, before gaining an annoyed expression.
"Your mother has finally succeeded," said Gwendolyn, posing still.
"Here it comes," said Eda, pinching the bridge of her nose.
"What's coming?" asked Aster, looking at Eda.
"Today, I shall be curing," said Gwendolyn, twirling her staff and jabbing it in the ground. "Your curse!"
"What?!" said Danielle, staring at Gwendolyn, perplexed.
"No, thanks," said Eda, digging her finger into her ear.
"What?!" said Lilith and Luz, staring at Eda.
"I said, "No, thanks." I got my elixir system," said Eda, staring at Gwendolyn. "I'm good."
"But... But who knows what they put in those nasty concoctions?" said Gwendolyn, looking at Eda.
"These elixirs she's taking now are handmade by me," said Danielle, staring at Gwendolyn. "They're much better and organic than the original elixirs."
"See," said Eda, ruffling Danielle's hair. "Well, would you look at the time? I got a lot to do today. So sad to see you go. Okay, byeeee!"
"You just…" said Danielle, shocked seeing Eda send Gwendolyn off.
"Moms. Am I right?" said Eda, seeing shocked expressions on Danielle, Luz, Aster and Lilith's faces.
"I haven't seen Mother in forever!" said Lilith, frustrated. "And she was handing you a cure on a silver platter!"
"I'd kill to see my mom right now, and you just launch yours into the sky?!" said Luz, looking at Eda.
"Same here," said Danielle, looking at Eda.
"I think meditation will work in your case," said Eda, looking at Danielle.
"Not the point," said Danielle, looking at Eda.
"I'd like to see my mom too," said Aster, looking towards the sky. "My dad, not so much."
"Oh, listen, she comes around every year, toting a new cure for my curse," said Eda, walking back in the house. "But they never work, so I am done getting my hopes up."
"Mother visits Edalyn... regularly?" said Lilith, in disbelief as she follows Eda into the house.
"This doesn't feel right," said Danielle, watching Eda and Lilith in the house. "Mrs. Clawthorne was more interested in Eda than Lilith. She should find the time for both of them."
"I didn't really notice," said Luz, looking at Danielle. "But you're right."
"Well, why not talk to her?" asked Aster, pointing in a certain direction. "She just landed over there."
"You're right," replied Danielle, only for Luz to gently push her towards the front door. "Luz!"
"You're resting. You're still hurt from that Sentinel," said Luz, trying to push Danielle through the front door as she held on tight to the doorframe. "You're only making this hard on yourself."
"I can help," said Danielle, looking back at Luz.
"You can help by getting better," said Luz, looking at Danielle. "And not being so stubborn."
"Aren't we all," said Danielle, as Luz finally got her inside and shutting the door.
"Danielle," said Aster, staring at Danielle.
"I don't like this," said Danielle, sighing. "I feel useless. I can't even utilize my magic right now cause of that Sentinel."
"Everyone just wants you to relax and get better," said Aster, looking at Danielle. "Didn't your mom want you to do that whenever you got sick?"
"Yeah, she and dad did," replied Danielle, looking at Aster. "Though for some odd reason, I'd always go kitty whenever I'd get sick."
"You… you what…" said Aster, trying to contain his laugh to no avail. "You went kitty."
"Yeah," said Danielle, slightly blushing. "It just happened… whenever it got to a certain point."
"What are you doing?" asked Aster, seeing Danielle head towards the front door. "Wait… no."
"Limbo," said Danielle, limbo-ing under Aster and tickling him.
"Hahaha," said Aster, only to see Danielle got pass him. "Danielle, wait!"
"Look, I won't do anything strenuous," said Danielle, walking in the direction she felt Luz went. "I just need to move around, stretch my legs. Okay."
"Promise you won't do anything but that," said Aster, looking at Danielle.
"I promise," said Danielle, still walking. "Unless something comes up that I have to defend myself and you. Is that okay?"
"I can fight in this form," said Aster, looking at Danielle. "Not magically but physically. So, I'll defend us. Okay."
"Okay… my little knight," said Danielle, before seeing Luz and Gwendolyn enter a cave. "There they are… dangit."
"Tic tac toe," said Aster, drawing on the ground.
"Okay," said Danielle, looking at Aster. "I'll be the o's."
"And I'll be the x's," said Aster, drawing the first x.
"Want to know how me and my mom and dad played it?" asked Danielle, drawing her o.
"Yeah," replied Aster, drawing the next x.
"Well, whenever we drew the x we'd give a kiss and when we drew an o we gave a hug," said Danielle, drawing her next o. "Whoever lost got a big hug or kiss from the winner and a "Good game". I think mom and dad did that to encourage me to not be a sore loser whenever I lost at anything. I called it hugs and kisses back then"
"That's interesting," said Aster, looking at Danielle. "But I rather just play plain Tic tac toe."
"And you win," said Danielle, seeing that Aster won. "Good game Aster."
"Hehe," giggled Aster, before thinking and giving Danielle a hug. "Same to you, good game."
"And it looks like they finally come out," said Danielle, seeing Luz and Gwendolyn exit the cave. "Yo."
"Danielle, what are you doing here?" asked Luz, looking at Danielle. "You should be back at the Owl House resting."
"I needed to move around," replied Danielle, standing up before Gwendolyn wrapped her up in magic. "Uuuh…"
"Luz told me what happened and I quite agree with her," said Gwendolyn, looking at Danielle. "Now than, back to the Owl House or should I do to you what I did with my witchlets when they were sick and didn't listen."
"I'm afraid to ask," said Danielle, still bound my magic. "Looks like you're nursing a headache. You should take your own advice."
"Please, it's not that bad," said Gwendolyn, looking at Danielle. "It just comes and goes… since a little after Belos tried petrifying Edalyn."
"Have you been seeing images…" said Aster, looking at Gwendolyn.
"How'd you know?" asked Gwendolyn, looking at Aster.
"Gwen, this may sound a little crazy but…" said Luz, inhaling before looking at Gwendolyn. "Time travel is involved and a lot of people…"
"Time travel?" said Gwendolyn, staring at Luz.
"It's very hard to explain right now but…" said Danielle, deeply sighing. "Meaning this day has been repeated two times."
"We both had our separate runs here," said Luz, looking at Gwendolyn. "Not even our memories have completely returned but Belos wants to destroy your realm."
"But… the Coven System…" said Gwendolyn, looking at Danielle and Luz. "And the sigils."
"Consigns everyone who has one to death," said Danielle, looking at Gwendolyn. "Confronting him right now would yield you being petrified."
"Is there a way to get rid of these sigils?" asked Gwendolyn, holding out her wrist.
"If they were made then there's a way to get rid of them," said Aster, looking at Gwendolyn. "And… I'm sorry."
"What for?" asked Gwendolyn, looking at Aster.
"I gave him everything he needed," replied Aster, looking down at the ground. "I thought he was my friend and that he would release me but he lied. I wouldn't have known anything if Danielle and Luz didn't get me out of there that day."
"Aster has just been as manipulated as the rest of the isles," said Danielle, looking at Gwendolyn. "Even longer than anyone since the Deadwardian Era."
"My goodness," said Gwendolyn, looking at Aster. "Well, at least now you're with people who care about you and can help you."
"Yeah, being with the princess and the others is great," said Aster, before realizing his mistake. "I mean…"
"Someone's a smitten kitten," said Gwendolyn, looking at Aster than the girls. "If this has happened already, I'm guessing this tome did nothing."
"Exactly," said Danielle, seeing Gwendolyn slam the book to the ground. "What was it for anyway?"
"Curing Edalyn of her curse," replied Gwendolyn, looking at Danielle.
"I think you really just need to talk to Eda and Lilith," said Danielle, looking at Gwendolyn. "Lilith seemed hurt that you were paying more attention to Eda than her. You're her mom, she needs you just as well."
"Let's get back to the Owl House," said Luz, gesturing everyone to follow. "Then we can come back and put Wortlop in his place."
"And grab some of those crystals," said Aster, pointing back towards the sealed cave. "I saw some before the cave resealed itself."
"Yes, oh yes," said Danielle, staring at the sealed cave.
"Let's get going," said Luz, gently pulling Danielle along.
Heading back towards the Owl House, the girls, Gwendolyn and Aster come upon a sight of Lilith and King eating a ton of ice cream. Gwendolyn finally sees what Danielle meant. Seeing Eda trying to escape into the kitchen, Gwendolyn magicks her and Lilith towards her into a hug. What was unexpected was a light show encasing the Clawthorne woman.
"Well, looks like I'm all caught up," said Eda, rubbing her forehead. "To all of today at least."
"I am so sorry to the both of you," said Gwendolyn, as Lilith was crying in her arms.
"I'm just glad I didn't have to go through those quests of yours this time," said Eda, slightly glaring at her mom.
"I'll send some apple blood your way," said Gwendolyn, looking at Eda than Lilith. "And Lilith, if you still…"
"Yes! Yes, I do!" said Lilith, wiping tears from her eyes.
"Still what?" asked Aster, looking between Lilith and Gwendolyn.
"Both times I decided to go home with mother and make up for lost time," replied Lilith, looking at everyone. "I'm still going with it."
"What?!" shouted Hooty, bursting from the door.
"But first, I think we need to visit Master Wortlop," said Gwendolyn, staring outside. "And get back everything he scammed from us."
And so, after Hooty went into his porta-house, everyone went straight to the sealed cave. Gwendolyn went in first ahead of everyone before gesturing them in. Seeing that it was three gremlins, Gwendolyn had a swarm of fire bees swarm the cave, keeping the gremlins separate before everyone came in.
"Leave," said Gwendolyn, sternly staring alongside everyone at the gremlins. "And if I ever see you in Bonesborough again, every beast in the forest will be after your head!"
"Now, let's get those crystals!" said Aster, flying over to some crystals.
"Moms can be awesome," said Danielle, staring fondly at the scene of Gwendolyn.
"Still got it," said Gwendolyn, chuckling.
"You know, this would make a great hangout," said Danielle, before feeling King tugging on her coat.
"She was... trying to do her best, huh?" said King, looking at Danielle.
"Yeah," said Danielle, looking at the Clawthorne women. "She was."
"Eda," said Luz, seeing Eda draw the Teleportation Glyph on the ground.
"We'll send these straight to the Owl House," said Eda, before looking at the girls. "I have something to show you two."
Danielle and Luz look at each other, wondering what Eda had to show. Teleporting everything they could to the Owl House, everyone mounted their staffs and flew in the direction that Eda went. Coming upon a wooded area near the cliff, Eda dismounts alongside everyone else. Pushing aside some brush, Eda reveals what looks to be a statue of a person.
"No… no way…" thought Aster, staring at the statue with shaking hands.
"Eda," said Luz, looking at Eda. "What is this?"
"Danny, are you okay?" asked Danielle, hearing Danny gasp.
"That… that pokémon… it-it's Terapagos. No way, Belos…"
"Is everything okay with Danny?" asked Luz, looking at Danielle than Aster. "Aster?"
"He lied? He said that they found a way home," said Aster, tears forming in the corner of his eyes. "But he didn't. He was…"
"Wait… are you saying…" said Luz, getting a good look at the statue.
Looking closer, Luz sees that the statue had round ears, making the person before her a human. Short chin length hair, looked to be around late teens, was wearing a sleeveless-shirt with a strange creature design on the front with a short sleeve open shirt over it, pants tucked into short boots, and a loop earring on their left ear and bangles on their wrists. Looked to be either Native American or Egyptian, and had an androgynous build.
"Belos petrified a human!" said Luz, gasping and backing away.
"I-I-I don't think they're from our Earth Luz," said Danielle, looking at the petrified huma. "I think they're from Danny's Earth."
"What?" said Eda, looking at Danielle.
"Terapagos wasn't revealed till 2023. I-It wasn't… That person…"
"I think we did a good thing with destroying the Portal Door," said Danielle, wiping a tear away. "I wouldn't be surprised if Belos were to petrify anyone that didn't conform to his ways."
"But what was this about them being from Danny's Earth?" asked Luz, staring at Danielle.
"That creature is a pokémon…" replied Danielle, pointing to the design on the t-shirt. "Terapagos… revealed next year Luz. Aster, are you…"
"They were my friend. They actually played with me. They never covered my tablet. They listened to me," said Aster, looking at the petrified human. "I can't believe… they're gone."
"Aster," said Danielle, hugging Aster alongside everyone else.
"… … …" said Aster, leaning into the hug before drawing a Plant Glyph and conjuring some flowers around the petrified human. "There. So, they know I miss them."
"Danielle, could you…"
"Of course," said Danielle, drawing the Plant Glyph and conjuring flowers as well.
"I don't know if you're really from my Earth or not but the Terapagos says otherwise. I hope these flowers reach you wherever you are on the other side."
As everyone had departed back to the Owl House, they would have noticed something. As the wind picks up and brushes some vines away, a message in seen inscribed on a rock in three handwritings. One obviously the petrified human, the other two mixed together and obviously belonging to ones that just saw the petrified human.
"Emperor Belos is Philip Wittebane!"
"Don't trust Philip! He's Belos!"

"I don't know what Luz is cooking but it smells good," said Danielle, walking down the stairs before seeing Luz. "Luz?"
"Danielle?" said Luz, staring at Danielle. "I thought you were cooking."
"No," said Danielle, before smelling a little burn smell in the air.
"Whose burning breakfast?" asked Eda, coming down the stairs and spotting the girls. "Danielle? Luz?"
"Wait, then whose cooking?" asked Danielle, looking at everyone. "King is on Eda's shoulder."
Gasping, everyone heads to the kitchen. What surprises them, is seeing Aster trying to scoop some lightly burnt scrambled eggs, toast and bacon onto a plate.
"Aster?" said everyone, seeing Aster sheepishly look their way.
"Hey there," said Aster, waving the frying pan. "You guys made cooking look so much fun, I thought I try it. What'cha think?"
"Smells good," said Danielle, looking at the food.
"Looks burnt," said King, staring at the food.
"I actually don't mind if the bacon is a little burnt," said Danielle, looking at King. "That's how I like it."
"You do?" said Aster, looking at Danielle.
"Hmmm-mmmm," replied Danielle, looking at Aster. "I love crispy bacon. Never liked it when it's wiggly and barely looks cooked all the way."
"I like it that way," said Luz, looking at Danielle. "Well, let's just eat."
"And he used the sugar," thought Eda, blanching on the taste.
"Does no one like it?" asked Aster, looking at everyone.
"Who puts sugar in eggs?" asked King, his tail puffing a little in disgust.
"The Japanese," replied Danielle, eating her eggs. "It's actually not as bad as you think. With practice, you'll get better. I actually did the same thing on my first attempt."
"Really?" said Aster, looking at Danielle.
"Yup," replied Danielle, before looking at the seasonings. "Ah, I see. Can't tell the difference between the two. We'll just place the letters u and a next to the s so you know the difference next time."
"Still, sugar in eggs?" said King, looking at Danielle.
"You've had my tamagoyaki before," said Danielle, looking at King. "That had some sugar."
"You know," said Luz, looking at Danielle. "I think there were some strange frying pans in among Eda's junk. You think…"
"Aaw yeah," said Danielle, excited before looking at Aster. "Watching is learning too. I can show you some egg dishes that have sugar in it. Tamagoyaki I basically know by heart."
"Yes please," said Aster, looking excited.
Owl Pellet #60
"These crystals are very useful," said Danielle, placing crystals around the room.
"If you can inscribe the Light Glyph on the inside somehow, you could make them light up," said Aster, placing some himself.
"A crystal nightlight," said Danielle, dreamily excited.
"Whoa," said Luz, entering the room. "What did you do to our room?"
"I happen to like it," said Danielle, before thinking out loud. "Wait… what would happen if we did more than using the crystals as lights?"
"What are you thinking?" asked Aster, looking at Danielle.
"We could inscribe other glyphs in them as well," said Danielle, looking at a crystal. "The possibilities…"
"Let's stick with lights right now," said Luz, staring at Danielle. "The glean in your eyes is getting scary."
"Napalm Bomb!" said Danielle, before Luz grabbed the crystal out of her hand. "Heke?"
"Not happening," said Luz, before leaving the room. "And she says my ideas are chaotic, her's are as well."
