Full disclosure, this chapter might seem rushed. I realize I've put way too many chapters into this sports festival and it should probably end soon. I'll finish this round and the next in this chapter, then move onto the final match in the next chapter.
Also, I just realized my mistake. Now that I pulled a comet drop in the last fight, that means I need to come up with something even more epic for Peter from here on out.
Oh god, I may have played myself.
It was hard to say how much time passed. As soon as his fight with Midoriya was over, he crashed onto the row of seats in his class' booth and passed out. When he woke up, his legs were healed, and everybody in his class looked very bored. Most of them were messing with their phones, occasionally glancing at the arena to see if the damage had been repaired yet.
"And he's still alive. I knew you'd come back to us bro." Kirishima clapped him on the back as he rose from the chairs. Peter smiled at his friend, happy to see him.
"You can't kill me that easily." Peter glanced down at the arena to see a miserable looking Cementoss with his palm pressed to the ground. "Hey, uh, how long have I been asleep?"
"ALMOST AN HOUR!" Most of his class yelled at him.
"What? I mean, I know I did a lot of damage, but does it seriously take an hour to repair all this? The dude controls cement!"
Right as Peter finished speaking, the intercom buzzed to life.
"Attention, this is principal Nezu. It would appear Mr. Cementoss has finished repairing our arena, so we may continue with the sports festival. Our next two contestants may now make their way to the arena."
"Good luck Eijirou." Peter waved his friend goodbye.
"Thanks bro." Kirishima flashed a thumbs up before walking out the door. Todoroki followed him out.
"So who do you think'll win?"
"...Not sure Mina. It all depends on if Eijirou is strong enough to break Todoroki's ice." Peter answered honestly.
A minute or so later, Kirishima walked out to the arena by himself. Todoroki was nowhere to be seen. Another minute passed, then another.
By the third minute, Peter shouted for Kirishima, asking about Todoroki. The red-head only shrugged his shoulders.
Just before the 5 minute mark was reached, Todoroki came walking out to the arena, looking different from usual. His hair shadowed his eyes, his mouth was set in a frown, and he seemed to be glaring at something. When he stepped onto the arena, he didn't greet anybody or even wave to them. He just stared coldly at Kirishima while Present Mic made his introductions.
"What's wrong with him?" Peter thought aloud.
The buzzer sounded. Kirishima immediately hardened and sprinted towards Todoroki. The ice-boy did nothing. He just stood there and stared at the living boulder approaching him. He didn't act until Kirishima was directly in front of him.
He stomped his foot on the ground and instantly created a massive glacier. Kirishima was pushed away by the wave of ice while simultaneously being frozen, The glacier reached the ceiling of the coliseum and stretched all the way back to the wall.
When the glacier reached Peter, he could see Kirishima had been pushed towards him. His arms and legs were frozen into the glacier, leaving him immobile.
"Uh...hey man." Peter greeted weakly.
"...Hey bro." Kirishima responded dejectedly.
"Okay, what the hell? Is this what he did to Tokoyami?" Peter asked.
"No. He didn't use nearly this much to freeze Tokoyami." Momo responded.
"SHOTO TODOROKI WINS!"
Kirishima let out a deep sigh.
"Hey bro, can you help me out?"
Peter jumped onto the glacier, punching it a few times to free his friend. When all his limbs came loose, Peter grabbed him and jumped back into the stands. Right after that, the glacier began to steam and melt. In just 30 seconds, the whole thing melted, revealing Todoroki standing on the arena with his left arm outstretched. You'd think he'd be happy, but nope, he looked even more pissed off than before.
"I guess I should be going then." Momo bowed and left the room. Bakugo only scoffed before jumping off the balcony like Peter had been doing. He slowed his descent with explosions and walked to the arena center. Momo joined him shortly after.
"Are you both ready?" Midnight asked. She received a nod from Momo and a grunt from Bakugo. "Then you may...BEGIN!"
Bakugo didn't wait. He blew himself over to Momo and tried to nuke her. To avoid this, Momo created a pole from the palm of her hand and used it to push herself away. Unfortunately, Bakugo's explosion broke the pole, causing Momo to fall a short distance and land painfully on her side.
She wasn't down for long. Bakugo ran right back to her, trying to hit her while she was down. Momo, who was laying on her back, created another pole that shot out of her back and pushed her into the air. Once again, the pole was destroyed by Bakugo, making her fall.
"She's gonna lose, isn't she, ribbit?"
"If this keeps up, then yes. She needs to make something to fight back with, but she doesn't have time to, especially since she has to keep making those long poles. The falls aren't really helping." Jiro answered.
Peter stared down in concern, debating over something internally. Should he let her use it? Technically he'd be breaking his own contract if he said no. It specifically stated it couldn't be used or sold with the intention of being used for combat. Sure, this was combat, but it wasn't exactly a pitched battle with a villain.
Still, given the demonic smile on Bakugo's face, it may as well have been a villain battle. Besides, it was a bit painful watching Momo barely dodging only to fall. If she kept taking falls like that, she was bound to dislocate her shoulder.
Peter heaved a sigh.
"Ah screw it. MOMO!" he yelled to the arena. Bakugo momentarily stopped, glaring up at the American who had the balls to interrupt his fight. Momo stared up in confusion, wondering what this was about.
"You can use it! Go ahead, I don't care!" Peter yelled plainly before sitting back down. His classmates stared at him oddly.
"What can she use?"
"You'll see Tooru."
Bakugo was pissed. The American interrupted him just for that? He angrily turned back to Momo, who had risen to her feet when he wasn't looking. She formed a small, fragile glass canister filled with a white substance. She stared down at it with concern on her face for a moment before looking at Bakugo and glaring. She cocked her arm back and threw the canister directly at him.
Bakugo rose one hand and fired off an explosion, which destroyed the canister but not the fluid inside. It continued to soar through the explosion until it landed on Bakugo, pinning his left arm to his body.
"THE HELL IS THIS!?"
"OH?! IT SEEMS MOMO YAOYOROZU HAS A TRICK UP HER SLEEVE! THOSE LOOK LIKE PETER PARKER'S TRADEMARK WEBS! HOW DOES SHE KNOW HOW TO MAKE THOSE!?" Present Mic shouted while the crowd cheered.
Bakugo grimaced before looking down at his arm. He pressed his right arm to it and blew up his own arm, lighting the web on fire before tearing it off. Peter groaned as he watched this.
That was the problem with artificial webbing. It may not have a time limit, but it was much weaker than his natural webbing.
Bakugo looked furious as he ripped off the flaming web. He turned his gaze to Momo, who had made nearly a dozen more canisters. One by one, she threw them all at Bakugo. Now, in case you all don't know, Bakugo does some really, really stupid shit when he's angry. So, instead of thinking logically, what does he do? What else? He raised his arm and blew them all up again, thinking there was no way his explosions would lose to those wimpy webs.
Oh, the poor fool. He really is a blonde.
Every canister shattered, releasing their contents onto Bakugo. More and more webs fell onto him, further restraining him. Abandoning the web canisters, Momo created a rectangular, blue grenade. Pulling the pin, she threw it at the temporarily restrained Bakugo. The grenade burst and released a thick smoke cloud. She created several more smoke grenades and threw them all around the arena.
"Well great, now we can't watch what's happening." Kaminari groaned.
Peter could hear a furious roar before a bright flash emerged from the smoke. The smoke in the center of the arena dissipated, revealing a very pissed off Bakugo.
"WHERE ARE YOU?! I'LL KILL YOU!" He shouted. Stretching his arms in a T-shape, he released several explosions in random directions, dissipating smoke all around the arena.
It didn't take long until only a small amount of smoke to remain. Bakugo still hadn't found his opponent, and when he turned to the small cloud, he grinned wickedly. Raising both palms in front of him, he looked like he was about to kill somebody. Fortunately - or unfortunately, depending on who you ask - he never got the chance.
From the smoke cloud came another glass container filled with web fluid. It was different though. Peter frowned when he saw it.
"Something wrong bro?"
"...The trajectory is wrong. When you throw something from that distance without a strength quirk, there's bound to be some kind of drop. This canister came from the cloud in an almost straight line. That shouldn't be possible for somebody like Momo unless...oh. Clever girl." Peter smiled, having figured it out.
His hands once again stuck together, Bakugo roared at the cloud while it slowly dissipated on its own. Momo was standing there, holding a 12-barreled grenade launcher. She ejected the drum and loaded a single web canister into the now empty slot before closing it and bringing it back up to aim at her opponent.
Bakugo paled ever so slightly when the weapon was pointed his way. Momo pulled the trigger, firing a single canister at tremendous speeds. It hit Bakugo directly in the nose, the resulting crack being so loud even the people at the top of the coliseum could hear it.
"Jesus. Did she break his skull?" Sero winced at the noise.
"Nah, probably just his nose." Peter waved off the tape-boy's concerns.
The canister broke on impact, encasing the blonde's head in webbing. Momo continued firing, each canister breaking on impact and sticking to a different part of Bakugo's body. He yelled in pain every time, though the webs on his head muffled it.
Finally, all the shots were spent. Momo tossed away the empty grenade launcher, standing ready. Nothing happened for about 10 seconds, so Midnight stepped forward.
"KATSUKI BAKUGO IS UNABLE TO-"
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
She was cut off by a ferocious roar. It sounded like a wounded animal making its final stand. Everybody turned their attention to the human-shaped cocoon. It began to twitch and shake, two specific parts burning with orange light shaped oddly like hands. Those two points broke, two huge explosions emerging from the small holes. Momo rolled out of the way of one of them, which reached all the way to the coliseum wall.
The hands reached up and pressed themselves onto different parts of the cocoon, more explosions following.
"That crazy brute. He's blowing himself up to get out." Ectoplasm groaned.
"The sports festival may be important, but he's taking this way too seriously." Aizawa face-palmed.
The teachers collectively shared a groan at their student's actions. There was wanting to win, and then there was this. This was just ridiculous.
His arms, legs, and torso free, Bakugo placed both his hands on his face. Two small explosions and a dissipating smoke cloud later, Bakugo's face was free. His face, along with his arms, was badly burnt. His eyes were bloodshot, he had a feral look on his face, and he was screaming in rage even now.
He raised both his hands and created a massive explosion. He was clearly too pissed to even consider the consequences of what he was doing. The massive explosion reached Momo, who was unable to move out of the way.
"HOLY SHIT!" Class 1A all rose from their seats.
"BAKUGO!" Jiro screamed down from the stands. "YOU CRAZY SON OF A BITCH, WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!"
30 seconds. That's how long it took for the huge smoke cloud to disappear. When it did, Momo was no longer in the arena. She had been pushed completely out. She was holding a massive shield in front of her, so she had been able to protect herself at least. She likely didn't feel much from crashing into the wall either, since a large amount of web fluid had cushioned her impact. When she pushed herself away though, Peter could see glass shards in her back from the broken canister.
"MOMO YAOYOROZU HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE RING! KATSUKI BAKUGO IS THE WINNER!" Midnight announced. Medical bots came for Momo, who waved them off, insisting she was fine. She walked into the arena and emerged in the 1A booth soon after.
"Momo, go to Recovery Girl." Peter's tone made it clear that he wasn't making a suggestion.
"What do you mean? I'm fine." Momo smiled. "I don't feel hurt at all."
"Momo, that's adrenaline. Trust me, you'll regret it if you don't get some help now. If you don't it's gonna hurt so much more when you finally get some help. At least get the shards removed."
"I'm alright, really." Momo argued stubbornly.
Peter looked at Kirishima and Todoroki, giving them both a certain look. They nodded to him before approaching Momo.
"Peter, I'm not going to-" Peter webbed both her arms to her side while Todoroki froze her feet together. Kirishima grabbed her arms and lifted her up, carrying her out the door while she protested.
Peter inwardly groaned at the sight. He had made the same mistake when he started out as Spider-Man. He told himself he was fine and that everything was perfect, then, as soon as the adrenaline wore off, his entire body hurt like hell. Momo had just been on the receiving end of multiple explosions and falls. There was no way she was fine.
"Guess we're next." Peter clapped his hand onto Todoroki's shoulder before leaving. He shot the boy a concerned glance, noticing his face.
Though he helped Peter just now, Todoroki looked the same as he had earlier. Same shadowed eyes, angry glare, and dead stare. Something was pissing him off, and that could be really good or really bad for him in the next fight.
They made their way to the arena and stood apart from each other. Peter knew exactly how Todoroki would open the fight, so he prepared his stance ahead of time. Left leg extended all the way forward, bent back on his right leg, left arm straight in front of him, and right arm cocked back in a punching motion. He was ready.
"NORMALLY I'D MAKE MY USUAL INTRODUCTIONS, BUT DO THESE TWO REALLY NEED ANY ANNOUNCEMENT AFTER WHAT THEY'VE DONE HERE TODAY?! YOU KNOW THEM, AND YOU KNOW WHAT THEY'RE CAPABLE OF! BOTH FROM CLASS 1A, IT'S SHOTO TODOROKI AND PETER PARKER!"
The crowd erupted into cheers, ready for the fight to begin.
Midnight raised her whip.
"You both know the rules, so I expect you to follow them." They nodded in response. "Well then, you may...BEGIN!"
It happened just like Peter knew it would. Todoroki, in his obviously pissed off state, was just trying to end the fight as soon as possible. So, just as expected, a massive glacier emerged in front of Peter. The American stood calmly, waiting as the mass of ice rushed towards him.
"3," He counted as the wave came closer. "2," the ice was right on top of him. "1," The glacier would touch him in just one more millisecond.
"ZERO HOLD BACK!" Peter jerked his right arm forward, his fist connecting with the glacier. There was a resounding crack. Lines and cracks immediately spread through every last corner of the ice wall, making it look like a block-shaped spider web.
The cracks lasted for less than a second before the entire glacier shattered. Ice rained down from above, knocking into Peter's body. He stood his ground, barely reacting from the pieces falling onto him.
Todoroki looked shocked, then angry again.
"You...WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU!?" He created another glacier, this one somehow being even larger than the last. Peter ran directly at it before jumping forward and drop-kicking the wall. Rather than the entire thing shattering, Peter simply crashed straight through it, kicking Todoroki in the face when he emerged on the other side.
The dual-colored boy went flying, but he saved himself from ringing out by creating an ice wall behind him. Growling, he stomped his right foot and sent a dozen pillars of ice out in different directions. They flailed around the arena like snakes, surrounding Peter as they rushed towards him from different directions.
Peter was having none of it. Rather than trying to destroy each pillar, he jumped straight up into the air, landing on top of one pillar. He shot his webs at one and yanked it forcefully. The pillar broke straight down the middle, crashing into the other pillars and knocking them over like dominoes.
Peter leaped up and used his webs to pull himself down onto the top of the same pillar, crashing straight through it. He achieved the perfect superhero landing, landing on his feet while the two pillar halves split around him and glitter-like dust caught the sunlight while it fell down on him.
"Oh no, he's hot." Kaminari memed. Jiro groaned before stabbing him in the neck with one of her jacks.
Todoroki tried again, creating larger pillars this time. Peter jumped onto one and ran along the side of it. Another ice wave crashed in front of him, creating a spray of ice. Peter jumped through it, continuing to run along the ice wall. More crashed towards him as he did so, forcing him to jump around and twist his body at impossible angles to avoid them.
Todoroki, having enough, changed strategies. He curled the wall Peter was running on, making a circle. When he tried to run straight up, Todoroki extended the ceiling, constantly making it higher. As he did this, he made ice flows emerge from inside the circle, shooting towards Peter like darts.
Peter was effectively trapped in an extendable cage that shot giant ice spears at him.
He dodged several of them, twisting to the side, backflipping, and even punching one directly on the pointy tip to shatter it. 4 of them shot his way all at once, momentarily catching him off guard. He jumped over the first, spun to avoid the other 2, then turned around and caught the final one just before it hit his face.
The audience was in awe, as was Todoroki, who had been using the big-screen monitors to watch Peter inside his cage. His right side was almost entirely encased in ice at this point. He needed to take some time to heat himself up or he would lose. Seizing the opportunity, Todoroki grabbed his right arm and warmed himself up, melting the ice.
Inside the cage, Peter looked at the ice spike in his hand, nearly 3 feet long in size. He tossed it into the air, which made it twirl a few times before he caught it again.
"Hey Prince Zuko!" He shouted. Todoroki turned his attention to the monitors. "Thanks for the gift. I don't have anything to give you, so do you mind if I return this one?"
Peter raised the spike like it was a javelin before throwing it directly at the wall in front of him. The wall practically exploded, creating a large archway and sending chunks of ice shooting outwards.
Todoroki created an ice wall to shield himself. The walls were destroyed by the ice chunks, but thankfully, there weren't any more afterwards.
However, there was no Peter.
Todoroki heard a single footstep behind him. He turned around just in time to take a punch to the face from Peter. The impact sent him flying into his own ice cage, crashing through the wall and emerging on the other side. There were now 2 large archways.
"Damn it!" Todoroki groaned as he stood up. Why? Why was he losing? His ice was always more than enough to handle everything.
So why was he losing like this?
"Will I...have to use it?" Peter ran towards his downed opponent."No, I don't want to . I shouldn't have to." Peter came closer, prepared to end the fight. But…
"I HAVE TO!" Todoroki roared. He was feeling a lot of emotions at the moment. Confusion over losing, fear over using his left side, but mostly, he was pissed. Pissed that his fire had to be brought out, pissed that he was pushed so far, and pissed that his father was here to see it.
A column of fire shot out from his body, making the surrounding area very hot. The ice cage began melting, creating a small shower of rain. Peter stopped his charge, eyeing his opponent warily.
"Why...won't you just give up?" Todoroki stomped his right foot and extended his left arm, sending a wave of both ice and fire towards Peter. The American boy turned around and ran. He jumped onto what was left of the ice cage and ran up it. When he reached the top, he backflipped off, free-falling down towards Todoroki.
Todoroki responded by shooting a stream of fire his way. Peter shot some webbing into his hand, creating more and more until a circular web shield was in front of him. He collided with the fire at a downwards angle. Todoroki grunted in frustration before increasing the temperature and amount of fire.
The beam became much larger and hotter. It still couldn't burn through Peter's web shield, but it was still uncomfortably hot, and to make it worse, the fire stream was too large for the shield to block all of it. Bits of fire streamed past it, burning Peter's arms, legs, and face. Still he fell, heading straight for Todoroki.
Desperate now, Todoroki made one last gamble. He created a massive ice wall behind him, immediately dropping the air temperature. Preparing his left arm for one final shot, he stared up at Peter as he came closer.
"I'm sorry about this." He muttered before releasing his attack.
A huge fire blast shot from his outstretched hand. Peter reached him just as he fired off his attack, slamming his foot into the shield and flying towards his opponent from behind the shield like a missile. The rapidly cooled air was instantly superheated, which created a large explosion. Just as the boom rang out, Peter's shield, with his foot pressing into it from behind, smashed into Todoroki's arm.
The entire arena turned white, blinding the audience. To make it worse, everything was covered in smoke, even the audience, making them all cough and groan. Some heroes in the audience used their quirks to clear the smoke away, helping them all to breathe. They also caused the smoke in the arena to disappear.
It looked like a bomb had dropped.
The destruction wasn't quite on the level of Peter's dynamic entry, but it was certainly devastating. Huge chunks were missing from the ground, the air was extremely hot, making the audience sweat, and Midnight had dived for cover, protecting her head with her hands.
None of that was nearly as surprising as the contestants themselves. Neither of them were out of the fight just yet. Peter was knocked down, but he wasn't out of the fight just yet. He was laying on his back, and painfully climbed to his feet. Todoroki was about 20 meters away from him. The entire left side of his shirt was gone, but he looked relatively unharmed. Peter's shield lay discarded off to the side.
Grimacing, Todoroki raised his left arm and tried to shoot fire at Peter, but it didn't work. His arm lit on fire, and a stream shot forwards, but it only lasted about 5 meters, and it was very small. He tried the same with his right foot, but this time, nothing at all happened. His leg froze, but nothing came forwards.
"Great." He groaned.
His quirks may counteract each other, but he could still overuse them. His ice had seen far too much use, and now it was nearly useless. His fire was the same, though at least it could make small, short-range blasts.
Peter was extremely sore. He had burns from the fire, and large gashes and bruises from the flying rubble. His healing factor was doing its best, but it was currently working overtime just to catch up.
The two boys eyed each other. Todoroki glanced at his left arm, his only weapon, while Peter glanced at his impromptu shield laying nearby. They turned their attention to each other for only a second before their fight continued.
Peter made a mad dash for his shield while Todoroki ran directly at him. He had only close range attacks, so he needed to make them count. When he got close enough, he shot small bursts of fire at Peter, who weaved out of the way of the attacks. Finally reaching his shield, Peter rolled on his shoulder to grab it. He attached several rocks to the shield before throwing it at Todoroki.
The boy ducked at the last second, the shield sailing over his head. It landed directly in the 1A booth, and Peter could hear some of his classmates yelling. Grimacing, he quickly made another one, stuck a large rock to the front of it, and rushed Todoroki.
Todoroki continued to launch fire blasts at Peter, who held his shield in front of him to block them. He was nowhere near peak condition, so he was much slower than he usually was.
The thin streams hit the web shield continuously, but they did nothing. Finally, Peter reached Todoroki. He raised his shield so it was directly even with his head while Todoroki grabbed his left arm with his right to steady it. The boys met in the middle, with Todoroki shooting a long fire burst into Peter's shield at close range.
Swinging his shield forward, he struck Todoroki in the face, but the dual-colored student managed to freeze his face to protect himself. His defense shattered from the shield reinforced by the rock, but he didn't care. Grabbing Peter's shield arm, Todoroki launched a fire blast directly into his chest, knocking him down.
Peter instantly sprang up, striking Todoroki in the chest with his foot. His opponent countered by launching a close range blast at his head, forcing Peter to block it, while simultaneously kicking his knee. Now on one foot, Peter was too unbalanced to avoid Todoroki's frozen punch to his face. Todoroki finished by shooting one last fire blast at Peter's exposed back.
"I am warning you. Do not get back up. I will not be held responsible for whatever happens to you if you refuse to stay down. Just give up."
Peter grit his teeth and very painfully rose his feet. His healing factor couldn't do its job fast enough. He was far too injured to fight at full capacity, and the new injuries weren't helping. His shirt was practically gone from the beating it had taken, revealing countless gashes and burns.
Now on his feet again, Peter glared directly at Todoroki, his shield in one hand and he assumed a fighting stance.
"I haven't given up before, and I'm not about to start." He grinned at Todoroki before dashing forwards again. He blocked a fire shot and dashed straight into him, the rock on the center of the shield crashing into Todoroki's ribs.
The wind knocked out of him, Todoroki furiously tried to defend himself, but even in his current state, Peter was faster than him. He jabbed his kidney, kicked out his knee, struck his shoulder joint, and kneed him under the jaw. He couldn't hit very hard though, so his hits barely registered. Todoroki constantly forming ice armor didn't help.
Peter slammed his shield onto the ground, sticking several rocks to the side of it as well as the front. He tried to bash Todoroki with it, but the boy stuck his hand onto the front of the shield and froze it, attaching it to his palm while also attaching the shield to Peter's, meaning they were now stuck together.
Present Mic had been screaming the entire time, but neither of them could even hear him. Their hearts were pounding in their ears, making it impossible to hear anything.
Todoroki jabbed Peter in the face before kicking him in the stomach, knocking him over. But since they were attached, Todoroki fell on top of him. Seeing the opportunity, he lit his left side on fire while laying on top of Peter. Expecting groans of pain, he was surprised to hear light chuckling.
"Good strategy. But Johnny is hotter."
Not explaining what he meant, Peter kneed Todoroki in the stomach, causing him to fall next to him. Peter rolled on top of him and repeatedly struck him with his free right hand. Todoroki barely managed to defend himself with one arm. Finally, he managed to grab Peter's arm and ignited his left hand, burning Peter's arm.
Peter growled at Todoroki. Not out of anger, but out of determination. It had been a long time since he'd experienced a genuinely difficult fight, and he was all in now. Gritting his teeth again, he yanked his left arm as hard as he could. He ripped his shield from Todoroki's frozen arm, creating a spray of ice. He slammed the rock-covered shield onto Todoroki's chest, making him shout in pain and release Peter.
Peter struck him with the shield one last time before tossing it away and picking his opponent up by his shirt collar. Abandoning the fight, he held tightly onto his opponent and ran for the arena edge about 10 meters away.
Todoroki wasn't giving up just yet. He ignited his left arm once again and burned Peter while using his right leg to freeze himself to the ground. Peter ignored both these things, fighting through the pain and ripping Todoroki's leg out of whatever ice trap he created for himself.
He soon reached the edge, holding Todoroki next to him. In one final effort, Todoroki exerted as much heat as he could, lighting what was left of Peter's shirt on fire and severely burning his arm. Yelling loudly, Peter cocked both his arms back.
"JUST GIVE IT A REST ALREADY!" Peter threw Todoroki as hard as he could. The boy soared out of the arena extremely fast before coming to a dead stop when he crashed into the coliseum wall.
There was total silence. The only sound was Peter's heavy breathing, both from exhaustion and pain.
"...After possibly the most exciting match in the history of UA...Peter Parker...PETER PARKER WINS!" Present Mic started out oddly quiet but seemed to hype himself up and soon his volume returned. The entire crowd roared in response, cheering for Peter.
The American boy stared at his shield before throwing it to the ground. He left the arena and ran to the wall. Todoroki, surprisingly, was still conscious. He dragged himself out of the wall, clutching his side as he did so.
"Hey! Are you alright man? Do you need any help?" Peter asked worriedly.
Todoroki eyed him suspiciously.
"You're a strange one. Well...I'm fine, though you should really worry about yourself."
Todoroki walked off, stomping towards the nearest tunnel. Peter was left standing alone, heavily injured, but far from quitting.
"I HOPE YOU'RE READY LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! THE NEXT MATCH IS THE ONE YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR, THE FINAL ROUND BETWEEN THE STRONGEST CONTESTANTS OUR FIRST YEARS HAVE TO OFFER! PETER PARKER AND KATSUKI BAKUGO! WHO! WILL! WIN!?"
I will not apologize for blatantly turning Peter and Todoroki into Cap and Iron Man. If I want to rip off Civil War, then I'mma rip off Civil War. Besides, I added my own spins to it, didn't I?
Thanks for reading and remember to leave a review.
Aren signing off.
