Damn, where am I even supposed to start. The last real update was November 11, 2021, over a year ago at this point. Guys, look, I truly want to say that I'm sorry. And no, it wasn't Call of Duty and nostalgia's fault this time.

Obviously, this is a very, very important chapter, for a lot of reasons. There's a few things I need to go over, so let's start with why I was gone for so long.

Well… I had the craziest year of my life since the last update. So much happening, so much I would have rather avoided. So, for the sake of time, allow me to sum it up as quickly as possible.

The Full Timeline of Events Since the Last Update:

Winter break ended, had tests, started driving school, had to practice driving in my free time, got COVID, recovered from COVID, started mid-terms, finished driving school, got sent on errands by my mom now that I could drive, got COVID again, recovered from COVID again, played Persona 5: Royal for the first time, played it 3 more times, immediately bought Persona 4: Golden, played that 3 more times, entered the final two months of school, got a clogged ST valve, went to the hospital, missed my AP World History Test, took it a week later, entered the Summer quarter of Running Start, got WAY too addicted to "A Certain Magical Index," bought and read the first 18 books in like, 3 months (Except 7 because it's stupid expensive), got my first job, finished Summer quarter, quit my job after 2 months because the manager's sucked, turned 17, got a new job a month later, binged all three seasons and the movie for "A Certain Magical Index anime (It sucked), started Fall quarter of Running Start, finished my final test today.

Okay, that's the full timeline of events including everything major since the last chapter.

Damn, the Index anime physically hurt me. How do you turn such a good Light Novel into such a trash anime?

That aside, I've been busy. I've currently got a job, and the Winter quarter is starting on January 4th.

So now it's time for the good news. I have had… a lot of time to think about this story, and I made a pretty big decision. I have mentioned numerous times that I plan on a big crazy remake of this story, that once this "rough draft" was finished, I would make another story that would essentially fix every major problem this story had.

Then I thought, why the fuck would I do that?

You see, the remake was going to be very different. For example, Peter was never going to join UA, he would be freelance for 100% of the story. At some point, I realized a LOT of the changes I had planned could be incorporated into this story. There are so many great ideas I was holding onto for the "final draft" that can be put into place here with zero continuity issues or plot holes. I'm not going to spoil what those are, but the point is that this story is going to get BIG. More chapters, more events, more plot points, more characters, more more.

It's time. My final test was finished at exactly 12:07 PM on this day, December 13, 2022. A bit perfect, if you ask me. Exactly 1 week from today, December 20, 2022, the two-year anniversary of this story will be upon us.

What better time to make my glorious return than that day?

This story will never die. No matter what, even if I wind up in a coma for the next 15 years, I will never abandon this story. Unless there comes a day where I directly say "This story is dead, I'm abandoning it and never coming back," I will always return to write the next chapter.
