[Midoriya and Yaoyorozu]
Aishufirudo Heights
BANG!
Midoriya pulled the trigger and shot the green rabbit mascot-head-wearing man in the right bulging bicep of his arm, the arm that was holding the large sword!
Although, disturbingly enough, he didn't make a sound. He didn't yell out in pain, he didn't groan out in pain, and his voice wasn't even muffled by the mascot-head from any screams after being shot.
He was just...silent.
However, his arm was bleeding after the shot. When Midoriya shot his bicep, the blood poured out of his arm. It staggered the man and made his arm drop a bit, but he was still standing.
Yaoyorozu and Midoriya backed away a bit, their eyes widened in horror as they saw blood pour out of the man's wound.
Oh...Oh my gosh, I...I shot him! I mean, I shot another one! Midoriya thought in dismay.
...But the man...while he was shot, didn't look like he was slowing down…
In fact...he kept going.
And if that wasn't enough, his right arm that was shot was still carrying the sword in the air!
Yaoyorozu looked on behind Midoriya, her hands gripping the base of her mallet with both hands as she was scared out of her mind. She then exclaimed, "M-Midoriya! He's not going down!"
"I-I know!" Midoriya replied as he aimed the gun at the man's (monster?) left leg and fired a shot.
BANG!
It hit the man's leg. The man still didn't make any sound to indicate that he was in any pain. His shot leg buckled underneath, but he seemed to get back upright...which wasn't natural. The blood was also pouring out of the leg, the blood staining and soaking the sweatpants he was wearing.
The mascot-head-wearing man paused for a second after being shot...but he picked up speed yet again.
Truly disturbed, Midoriya internally panicked.
What the hell!? He's still going!?
Yaoyorozu was also horrified, seeing that the shot didn't seemingly affect the man.
"M-Midoriya!? W-We should run! Now!" she exclaimed in fear as she tugged him by the shoulder.
"U-Uh, r-right!" Midoriya agreed.
They turned around and ran, further away from the huge sword-wielding monster.
Running down the hall, past room doors, they both went all the way to the end of it to get to the door to the fire escape stairway. It was to their right side, and once they quickly saw it was the door to the fire escape, Midoriya opened it...to find out it was locked.
"What!? No!" Midoriya exclaimed.
"Locked!? Why would the fire escape be locked!?" Yaoyorozu also exclaimed in confusion.
"I-I don't know!" Midoriya said back. He and Yaoyorozu turned back to the bulky green-rabbit-head man, their flashlights shining on the figure that was slowly but surely coming toward them.
Midoriya gulped and quickly, although shakily, raised his gun to try one more shot at this behemoth of a man.
Seeing this, Yaoyorozu hid behind Midoriya to let him do the job.
The man then decided to let go of the dead monster's body and use his other hand to wield the handle of his sword, making him carry it with ease...and go a little faster!
Shit!
Midoriya then let loose with a barrage of bullets, basically letting out the clip.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
The bullets hit him two times in the scarred chest, three in his scarred left arm, and one in his scarred stomach.
There was no sound coming from the man. It was like he didn't have a voice. No painful cries, no cries of agony, nothing...
The man did stop though, but didn't go down. He only paused, looking as if he had taken major damage as he knelt down, taking a moment to recover.
Midoriya emptied the gun, in shock as he stood there.
Yaoyorozu also stood there behind the green-haired boy, shaking in fright as she saw the towering man fall on his knee.
The monstrous man just knelt there, but he still looked like he was...breathing.
Both Izuku and Momo stood there for about a few seconds...until the former decided to take a step forward, but paused as he whispered to Momo, "We should make a run for it."
Yaoyorozu's eyes widened at the boy as she whispered loudly, "What?"
"M-Maybe he's weakened? ...J-Just follow me! Don't stop!" Midoriya whispered loudly.
"O-Okay..." Yaoyorozu turned to the monstrous man to see that an opening was on the man's left, making them try to squeeze through they were quick enough.
Seeing it too, Midoriya nodded and and quietly said, "Okay, on the count of three...one...two...three!"
Both teens made a run for it. As soon as the front, Izuku, was almost close to the man, it looked like they were home free-
GRAB!
-But then, the mascot-head-wearing man grabbed Midoriya by the throat with his left hand!
"AUCK!" Midoriya hacked.
Yaoyorozu halted and screamed as she saw her comrade being lifted up by the throat.
"MIDORIYA!" she yelled out.
The boy gripped the man's wrist with his free hand to support himself while he was holding the gun in his other hand. The man's hold was strong, strong enough to lift a single person up with his own powerful arm. His hand was still constricting Midoriya's throat, even as was beginning to stand up, apparently now recovering from his injuries. Izuku could only make choking noises, as he tried to break free from the monster's grip.
Scared and horrified, Momo stood there as she froze, feeling powerless to do anything.
Powerless? N-No...I'm not...I-I can't be! I-I need to save Midoriya! NOW!
Snapping out of it, Yaoyorozu gritted her teeth and gripped the base of her mallet. She then rushed up to the monster, reared back the mallet in her hands, and swung it onto where Midoriya shot him in the stomach.
WHAM!
The monster just didn't make a sound. However, it weakened him, making him double over and lowering his raised arm that held Midoriya. Yaoyorozu reared back the mallet again and swung it on the man's chest next, exactly where the bullet holes were.
WHAM!
Then, to add more injury to this monster, Momo lifted the mallet up and slammed it on his left arm, the arm that was carrying Izuku.
WHAM!
The man then let go of Midoriya, making him drop to the floor on his butt.
"ACK!" Midoriya exclaimed as he hit the floor, putting a hand to his aching throat as he tried to get some air in.
Yaoyorozu quickly went over to him and got him up on his feet. "Come on!"
"Hack, cough, hack! R-Right!" Midoriya croaked out.
So they ran, past the monster, who was now trying to recover from the damage Momo inflicted. They ran straight, also passing the dead monster that was on the floor, and made the turn right to go further down the hall. Their flashlights shined through the corridor, the lights buzzing everywhere as they ran, illuminating the seemingly desolate hallway.
As soon as they went up to a left and right hall intersection, they stopped, wondering where to go.
"Try the right! Maybe another fire escape is there!" Midoriya exclaimed.
Nodding to that, Yaoyorozu followed Midoriya to their right.
Upon going to the end of the hall, however, there didn't seem to be a door that looked like a fire escape!
Cursing their luck, the teens turned around and went up the remaining hall. As they passed the left hall, Midoriya paused to look down it to see...
...That the green rabbit-head monster was coming down the corridor with his sword being dragged by his right!
Shit!
"Midoriya!" Yaoyorozu called out to him to his right.
"...Hold on!" Midoriya then began to use his right index finger behind his thumb. "I'm gonna use my Quirk!"
"What!?" Yaoyorozu exclaimed as she went to his side. "Y-Your Quirk!?" she yelled in shock. "In here!?"
"Yeah! I know whoever captured my Mom said that they didn't want me to destroy this place, but I have no choice! Desperate times call for desperate measures!" Midoriya told her as he balanced his right arm on his left wrist, the gun in his other hand.
Okay, this is it...one clean shot!
As the green rabbit-headed monster was coming up a little further, Midoriya prepared himself as he concentrated his One For All into his index finger to shoot this thing...
...But something feels different.
Wait...something...something feels...something's wrong...
He should feel the power of his Quirk coming through...but...he doesn't feel it.
He flicked his finger to make the shot.
...But nothing happened.
...Izuku blinked in shock, mouth wide open.
"Um...M-Midoriya?" Yaoyorozu said uneasily.
"W-Wait, l-let me..." Midoriya third to flick his finger again.
...Nothing.
...And the green rabbit-headed man was getting closer.
"Midoriya!" Yaoyorozu exclaimed in alarm.
"B-But, m-my Q-Quirk! I-It-It isn't working!" Midoriya said, his tone full of fright as he tried to flick his fingers again and again.
"What!?" Yaoyorozu shouted out in shock.
"I-I-I can't-I can't shoot!" Midoriya said in a panic.
The monster was coming closer...
"M-Midoriya!" Yaoyorozu exclaimed also in a panic, and grabbed his shoulder to shake him out of his stupor.
Eyes wide, Midoriya snapped out of his shock and told Yaoyorozu, "W-We gotta go!"
"Exactly! Come on!" Yaoyorozu yelled as they hight-tailed down the other hall.
When they went down it though, suddenly, to their left, a room door opened.
Out of it was another one of those twitching monsters!
They almost ran into it, the pale monster twitching and making its abnormal stuttering. The teens went to a halt, freaked out by the sudden addition to their dilemma.
The Stutterer (They might call these things that if they were more) looked in their direction and his neck started vibrating as he stuttered.
"A-a-a-a-a-a-a-m-m-m-m-m-m-a-a-a-a-a-"
But Yayorozu wouldn't have any of it.
She went up to it and quickly swung the mallet to her right at the monster's head.
WHAM!
The Stutterer fell to the floor with a plop, still unnaturally shaking as it lay there.
"Quickly! In here!" Yaoyorozu advised.
"R-Right!" Midoriya agreed, thankful that Yaoyorozu took care of the creature.
They both ran into the room, with the Stutterer still convulsing on the floor. They entered the room, seeing that it was all a dimly lit space, the light flickering above them.
They tried to find a door or something quickly, but for some odd reason, there wasn't any. Just a kitchen area to the left, and a wooden chair facing away from them out in the open space.
However, there were two things that Midoriya noticed.
On the chair, was a small box container full of...bullets.
The other thing was that there was a closet that had a shutter door nearby to their right.
Midoriya rushed over to the chair that had bullets on the seat. Yaoyorozu blinked at the conveniently placed bullets.
Once he scooped up the box full of bullets, he turned around to Yaoyorozu, glanced at the closet, and told her, "Follow me!"
He ran to the closet, opening it, which Yaoyorozu's eyes widened.
"M-Midoriya!?"
Izuku poked his head out and quickly gestured for her to come inside the closet.
Looking back to see if anyone is there, except maybe the downed Stutterer, she sees that the Green Rabbit (maybe they should call him that?) isn't anywhere around. She looked back at Midoriya and the closet, took a deep breath, and ran over to where he was.
Yaoyorozu went over to the opened closet, where she went inside. Midoriya closed the door on themselves as they hid away from any monsters.
The teens were both cramped inside the closet, their bodies slightly pressing into each other...
Not wanting to think about their intimate position right now (especially with Midoriya not wanting to think about how Yaoyorozu's breasts were pressed against his chest), they stood in the closet very still, not making a sound...
Midoriya then carefully put the case of bullets on a shelf beside them in the back of the closet, already getting three bullets out of it. Thankfully, he knew how to open the gun, so he placed some bullets, about six of them, into the base of the weapon. Yaoyorozu carefully placed her mallet on the shelf to her side. However, when she did that, she felt something.
Huh?
"Yaoyorozu, we need to turn off our flashlights," Midoriya advised her quietly.
She looked back at her classmate, "R-Right!" she also said quietly.
They turned off their flashlights...
...They could hear the Stutterer, who sounded like it was back up on its feet, making its stuttering noises...
The Stutterer kept making those unnatural noises...
There was another sound...the faint sound of a heavy sword being dragged onto the floor...
"A-a-a-a-a-a-m-m-m-m-m-m-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-ACK!"
The stuttering stopped, replacing it with choking sounds...
...The sounds continued...
...until the Stutterer was silent...
...
...Footsteps emerged in the silence, the dragging noise of the sword still present.
...The Green Rabbit came inside the room, the door already opened.
They could see him through the shuttered door of the closet.
In his left hand was the neck of the Stutterer that Yaoyorozu knocked down, its limp form dragging on the floor. Along with the creature, his right hand was also dragging the large sword behind him...
Both Midoriya and Yaoyorozu kept silent, making no sound as they held their breath, their heartbeats racing...
They watched as the Green Rabbit in front of them dragged both the Stutterer and his sword down. He passed the kitchen area of the room...and went over to the chair a little bit near the closet to their left...
...Going around it to sit on the chair, he sat down on it, his hands still holding the limp Stutterer and giant sword.
...Both the teens' heartbeats were still racing.
The closet was in the Green Rabbit's looking vicinity...
...It went quiet...
...Then, the Green Rabbit put the supposedly dead monster on his lap. Raising his...sword? The large weapon almost looked like a huge knife. Either way, he lifted it with ease and let the blade touch the skin of the monster...
...He then lets the blade sink into its flesh...and he skins it.
Blood started seeping out of the cut of the monster, red blood, pouring out of the wound. He skinned and scraped the skin off the creature, making little strokes when he did so as if he was cutting the skin carefully.
Both Midoriya and Yaoyorozu looked on in horror as they watched the pure audacity of what this man was doing to this creature. The blood was making a puddle underneath the Green Rabbit and the Stutterer as the former sat on the chair, scraping away the dead monster.
He's...He's skinning the monster!? Midoriya blanched in terror and nausea.
What...Why is he doing that!? Yaoyorozu thought as her eyes went wide, the dread festering inside her.
As the Green Rabbit kept skinning the monster for a minute...he paused...
...He turned his head to look toward where Midoriya and Yaoyorozu were in the closet.
Both teens' hearts reached up to their throats. Midoriya maneuvered in front of Yaoyorozu and carefully placed the barrel of the gun in one of the openings of the shutter door, aiming at the Green Rabbit just in case he came near them.
...The Green Rabbit gradually got up from his seat, letting the Stutterer slide off of his lap. Carrying his big knife-sword, he dragged it and slowly began his way to the closet.
Eyes widened at the monstrosity coming toward their hiding place, the teens both thought one thing.
SHIT!
Midoriya couldn't take any chances.
He fired the pistol through the shuttered closet door.
BANG! BANG!
The shots hit the Green Rabbit in the chest again, slowing him down as the bullets stopped his path.
Opening the door, Midoriya aimed his gun and shot the Green Rabbit two more times, one in his right shoulder, and the other in the right side of the mascot-head's face.
BANG! BANG!
The fourth shot to the mascot-head face made the monster man grasp onto his wound a bit. Whether he was in pain or not, they couldn't tell, he still didn't make any sound. However, even though the mascot's head was shot, while there was supposed to be white cotton and stuffing coming out of the fake head, there seemed to be something red coming out of it. It looked like...wet cotton...red wet cotton.
The Green Rabbit held onto his face wound as he paused and staggered a bit, making Midoriya pause as well once he saw that the shot stalled the monster a bit.
Yaoyorozu was still in the closet, something in her hand as she stuck it in her pocket. She got her mallet off the shelf and came into the battle.
The man kept staggering, looking like he was in pain as he raised his large knife over his green head.
Midoriya fired the last two shots, right in the face of the thing.
BANG! BANG!
Blood cotton squirted out of the monster's head.
This apparently made him a lot angrier as he lowered his sword/knife arm and let it drop, but he then tried to go in for a swipe at the boy.
Midoriya thought quickly and shouted, "Duck!"
Yaoyorozu didn't need to be asked twice as she and Midoriya went to the ground to let the huge knife swing above them.
"Move!" Midoriya yelled out.
Both teens got up and ran out of the room, not looking back, with Midoriya leading the way. Once they were out, they turned on their flashlights, but before Midoriya could go the other way, Yaoyorozu stopped him.
"Wait! Follow me!" she said to him.
"Huh!?" Midoriya sees where his classmate is going and decides to follow her.
They ran through the halls, away from the Green Rabbit...
They seem to be backtracking, from what Midoriya is seeing. When they were back to the fire escape exit, Midoriya had to ask, "What's going on!?"
Yaoyorozu dug in her skirt pocket and got...a key.
Midoriya's eyes widened, "A key!?"
"I found it in the closet!" Yaoyorozu told him, "I just hope this is where it goes to!"
She placed the key in the keyhole of the knob and twisted it.
The door opened!
"It worked!" Yaoyorozu exclaimed with a relieved smile.
Midoriya blinked. "Wow...o-okay then!"
"Alright, let's go up the third floor and save your mother!" Yaoyorozu said.
Now remembering the task at hand, Midoriya frowned and nodded. "Right."
They went inside the fire escape stairway, going up the stairs to the third floor.
Once they reached the third-floor door, they opened it, thankfully not locked, and went inside the floor hallways.
The halls were even dirtier and messier than the last ones if that was even possible, the rotting wood and moldy carpet on the floors, more wallpaper peeling off the walls, and some of the fluorescent lights above them flickered as they were hung on the ceiling.
Briefly noting all of this, they kept going, thankfully having to turn off their flashlights thanks to the overhead lighting.
They rushed through some halls to find Room 302...
And they found it.
"Here!" Izuku called out to Momo, who came up to him and the door to the room.
He reached for the doorknob and twisted it...but it was locked.
"Locked?!" Momo exclaimed in frustration.
Izuku was also frustrated as he swore, "Damn it!"
He had no choice but to bust it open as he backed up to kick the door down a few times.
BAM! BAM! BAM!
Momo looked on, surprised by the determination. Izuku did it one more time with another BAM, and it swung open.
"Okay, let's go!" Izuku went into the room, "Mom! Mom!?"
The taller girl went in with her male classmate...
...but she stopped when she noticed something about the room.
In fact, Izuku stopped as well ahead of her when he noticed something as well.
...The room...was bright...and it looked clean...cleaner than the halls outside.
There was also furniture inside of it...couches, a dining table, chairs, tables that had pictures on them...even pictures on the walls.
It looked like an everyday average apartment room...an absolute contrast to what the apartment complex felt like when running through it.
And that's not the weirdest part...the whole apartment room looked...
Familiar.
...It was all familiar to Izuku...
...It looked like...
What...What the hell? Izuku thought, his eyes widened as he slowly looked around the place he was in.
...It looked like his and his mother's apartment.
Everything around him...looked just like his apartment...
Izuku's eyes wandered over to a table with a picture on it.
...He walked up to the table with the picture on it.
...The picture showed him and his mother...and...his father...
...He was vastly disturbed.
"...What's going on here?" Izuku asked himself, stunned.
Momo also looked around the place, wondering what was happening here. Seeing Izuku was over at a table with a picture on it, she went over to him.
"Midoriya? Do...you happen to know why this room...looks...like it's been lived in?" she asked him, a little confused.
"...I...I don't know..." Izuku said, at a loss.
Seeing that he was bothered by all of this, Momo made the connection as to why he was disturbed.
Wait...is this apartment room supposed to be his?
Then, there was a faint sound.
...It sounded like...whimpering...maybe crying...
...Izuku turned to where the sound could be. Momo followed his line of sight.
...It came from a room that was in a far-off hall...
The crying continued...
...Izuku walked over to where the noise was. Momo, completely stunned and quite frankly a little freaked out of what was happening, followed her classmate.
As Izuku walked to where the crying sounds were, he came up to a door that was on the left of the hall. There was a door further ahead next to the other room...
...The crying grew louder when he neared it.
...Those sounds...sounded like...
...The door to the room that he was in front of...
...This room...was...
...his...
...The crying was from...
...Izuku could only stare at the door, which wasn't fully closed as it was cracked ajar...
"...M-...Mom?" Izuku quietly said through the door.
...The crying continued...
...Until she said two words.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!"
...His mother kept apologizing.
"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so, so, so sorry!"
...Those words...were the same...just like when he was four years old...
...Something stirred inside Izuku.
He tightened his hands into fists at his sides, his knuckles turning white as he gripped them, his fists shaking. His stance became rigid as he gritted his teeth, his mouth turning into a snarl. He stared at the door intently, filled with...rage...
How...How did they...
Izuku felt Momo's hand on his shoulder.
"Midoriya? Are...Are you okay?" Momo asked him in worry behind him.
"...How...dare they..." Izuku muttered in distaste.
Now overly concerned, Momo asked him, "What...What happened?"
Then, Izuku went toward the door and pushed it open, rushing in as he didn't care what awaited him. He's there to save the one person who means way too much to him.
"MOM!?" Izuku exclaimed as he entered this mock version of his room.
...
...No one was inside...
...Except for a chair, a table, and a computer.
The room's light was off and the computer was on.
...And it was showing that All Might video he used to view...eleven years ago.
Izuku stared at the setup in front of him. Momo went inside after him.
...The video played as Izuku stood there...letting the unforeseen nostalgia hit him...
"..." Izuku said nothing...his face full of confusion and...disappointment...
Momo also stood behind Izuku, looking at the screen in front of them.
"...Midoriya? Your...mother is not here..." she said, confused as well as she wondered what she may have heard.
"...She isn't..." Izuku muttered out.
...They stood there in silence...
...Momo spoke out warily, "M-...Midoriya? I...I think...I think we've been tricked..."
...Izuku stood there, watching the video go by.
...
...He still remembers it to this day.
...
...Momo spoke out to him again, "Midoriya?"
"...I think you're right-"
But then, the computer screen abruptly changed.
The two teens jumped and blinked at the sudden change on the computer.
It was a black screen...with a small white horizontal bar blinking in the black screen on the top left.
...They stared at the screen in wonder.
...It started typing out words...all by itself.
...It said one message.
GOOD MEMORIES, AM I RIGHT?
Izuku gasped. Momo looked at him in confusion and concern.
He looked...confused as well...but there was also a twinkle in his eyes...a twinkle of anger...
Then, there was another message below the other one.
YOU WATCHED THAT VIDEO MULTIPLE TIMES BACK WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE.
...Izuku was starting to feel rage again.
How...How?
EVERYTHING WAS SUNSHINE AND RAINBOWS BACK THEN, WASN'T IT?
"...How do you even-" Izuku seethed out, but another message on the screen interrupted him.
THAT IS, UNTIL YOU REALIZE YOU COULDN'T GET A QUIRK.
Izuku froze, his breath hitched.
"...Midoriya?" Momo said behind him, "...What...What do you see?"
...He turned his head back to Momo, puzzled.
"...What? You...can't...read it?" he asked her.
Then, another message caught Izuku's attention in his peripheral vision.
SHE CAN'T. ONLY YOU CAN.
Blinking at that, Izuku can only stare at the screen. Momo, meanwhile, was confused.
"Read...what?" she asked him.
Before he could even answer, there was another message.
TRY NOT TO LOSE CONTROL WHEN I SAY SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF TO YOUR CLASSMATE.
"..." Izuku remained silent.
I'LL MAKE THIS BRIEF. YOUR MOTHER ISN'T HERE. I JUST LURED YOU TO THIS PLACE SO YOU COULD FACE THE THINGS THAT SHAPED YOU INTO WHO YOU ARE.
"...What?" asked Izuku bewildered.
SO WITH THAT SAID, YOU'RE DONE HERE. TAKE THE NEXT FIRE ESCAPE TO YOUR RIGHT AND EXIT THE COMPLEX.
"...Wait...what?" Izuku stood there in shock.
FIVE THINGS, THOUGH:
Izuku went quiet so he could read what these things were.
ONE: YOUR LOUDMOUTH 'FRIEND' IS FINE. HE'LL PROBABLY GET OUT SOON...PROBABLY.
Eyes widened, he knew who the message was referring to.
Kacchan?
TWO: THERE'S MORE PLACES YOU NEED TO GO TO FOR YOU TO FIND YOUR OTHER FRIEND. YOU CAN TRY THE MIDUSHI MIDDLE SCHOOL OR THE BURUKEN HOSPITAL. EITHER ONE IS FINE, YOU'LL GET TO VISIT THEM EITHER WAY, BUT I ADVISE THE MIDDLE SCHOOL FIRST.
"Huh?" Izuku narrowed his eyes in curiosity.
THREE: I TURNED OFF YOUR QUIRK FOR A BIT. YOU'RE NOT GOING TO WRECK THE TOWN ANYTIME SOON, BUDDY. HOWEVER, IF YOU DESPERATELY NEED TO USE IT BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY, I CAN ONLY LET YOU USE YOUR QUIRK EXACTLY THREE TIMES WHENEVER YOU FEEL PRESSURED TO USE IT. SO USE IT WISELY.
"..." Izuku looked at the screen, speechless.
FOUR: ON TOP OF THE QUIRK THING, I SUGGEST YOU USE YOUR WEAPONS TO TAKE CARE OF THE MONSTERS HERE. THERE WILL BE BULLETS LITTERED AROUND THE TOWN. HECK, YOU MIGHT EVEN FIND A BETTER GUN. JUST KEEP YOUR GUN CLOSE, KIDDO.
...Izuku looked down at the gun that was in his right hand.
FIVE: LASTLY, WHEN I SAY GET A MOVE ON, I REALLY MEAN IT. I DON'T CONTROL THE MONSTERS, THEY DO WHAT THEY WANT TO DO. SO YOU BETTER GO RIGHT NOW. IN FACT, THERE'S GONNA BE ONE COMING UP HERE IN A MOMENT IF YOU DON'T LEAVE THE ROOM SOON. AND YOU DON'T NECESSARILY HAVE ANY BULLETS LEFT IN YOUR GUN NOW, DO YOU?
"...Who...are you?" Izuku asked the screen.
Momo looked at her classmate in question, a little frightened by all of this.
...The screen typed in one last message.
EXACTLY WHAT I SAID. WHATEVER YOU WANT ME TO BE. NOW...GET A MOVE ON.
...The screen didn't type in any more messages...
...Momo then spoke, "Midoriya? What did you...see?"
"...I...I'm...not too sure..." Midoriya stood there for a couple of seconds...until he turned to Yaoyorozu and asked her, "Did you really not see anything?"
She looked confused, "I...I just saw that the screen turned black..."
"You mean...you didn't see words on the screen?" he asked her, hoping what this mysterious person said was true.
"Words? N-No..." Momo was getting concerned, "Midoriya, are...are you okay?"
"...I...don't...know..." Izuku admitted.
Am I okay? My...My mother is not here...we...we came here for nothing...I...I don't even know what's going on...who is behind this? Someone with a powerful Quirk? Just...who?
Seeing the distress coming out of Midoriya, Yaoyorozou's concern went tenfold.
"Midoriya...are...are you gonna be okay?" she asked him, not knowing what else to say.
"...Yaoyorozu...I...I'm not crazy, okay?" Izuku told her as he stared down at the floor. "I just..." Then he remembered, his eyes widened. He looked up at Momo, "Yaoyorozu! My-My mother is not here! It's all a trap!"
Yaoyorozu's eyes widened as well in surprise. "What?"
"W-We need to go! We got to get out of here-"
Then...there was a faint moan.
Ooooooh…
...Oh man...
"Yaoyorozu! We gotta go!" Midoriya exclaimed as he grabbed her left wrist. Startled, Yaoyorozu let Midoriya lead her out of the room, ignoring the heat on her face as her classmate boldly grabbed her.
"Wha-M-Midoriya!?" Momo exclaimed nervously.
Once they exited the dark room, the door up ahead next to the room they were in, started to pound.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Both teens paused and looked back at the door.
If Izuku felt like this was just a mock version of his and his mother's apartment, then the door up ahead was...his mother's room...
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Ooooooh...
The groan sounded like...a woman...
Midoriya stared at the door for just a moment, saying one word, "...Mom?"
...
...BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
They backed away from the door cautiously. Momo got the mallet gripped in her right hand, while Izuku tugged his classmate.
"Come on! We got to go-" Izuku told her, but then-
BOOOM!
The door swung open...and out came...
Izuku and Momo's eyes widened in horror. The bright lights were still on in the apartment and it showed every detail that the monster had.
It was...an average-height monster that looked like...a woman. The monster's dark hair, it looked like, was pulled back into a short ponytail. The creature also looked gray-skinned, the thing looking nude somewhat, the breasts showing as her feminine figure came at them. The only thing that looked completely wrong with this woman (and that's saying something since it was gray-skinned and nude), were the sunken eyeholes that substitute for her eyes, and her stomach...looked like it was gutted...
But that wasn't all.
In her stomach...was a baby...half of a baby's body was poking of the torn stomach, and its little arms and hands were reaching out for something. The head of the baby has a head of hair as well, and its eyes are closed. It was also making cooing baby noses while the woman monster was groaning. They don't know if the monster was in pain while she moaned, but the whole thing just looked...wrong.
The monster was coming towards them, waddling over to them while the baby part of it was reaching out.
Momo blanched at the thing, while Izuku looked at the monster in...horrific confusion.
What...What is that!?
Ooooooh!
The monster's moan snapped the boy out of it.
"C-Come on!" Izuku told Momo. He dragged her out of the apartment room.
As they went to the kicked-down entrance and exit of the apartment room...
...Somone walked up to the doorframe.
They stopped abruptly.
Momo gasped.
Izuku's eyes widened once more.
In the doorframe...was the Green Rabbit.
It was the same one, bullet holes and all.
His chest was heaving, almost as if he was either out of breath...or if he was just angry.
The Green Rabbit came trudging into the apartment room, dragging and carrying his large knife-sword.
...They were going to go with the latter.
Izuku and Momo backed away from the Green Rabbit.
The teens quickly looked behind them to see the other monster coming at them and looked back toward the Green Rabbit.
"Yaoyorozu! Go right! I'll go left!" Izuku exclaimed to her.
"O-Okay!" Yaoyorozu said as she went to her right. As Midoriya went to his left, the Green Rabbit began to follow Izuku, while the other monster went to go follow Momo.
Momo went around the dining table while the monster was coming around the table as well. She went to the kitchen, which looked clean as well, and there were also kitchen knives and a frying pan on the stove.
She turned to face the monster, who was shuffling over to her in the kitchen. The baby in her stomach was cooing as he reached out.
As soon as the monster got close, Momo summoned all her courage, prepared the mallet, and swung at the monster woman's head.
WHAM!
It made contact, as the head of the monster arched from Momo's left from the hit.
Oaaooaaaooaaugh!
Momo tried to get away from the monster, but then-
A pair of little hands grabbed the lower part of her buttoned-up shirt.
"AH!" Momo yelled as she looked down.
The baby part of the monster was grabbing her shirt as it made baby noises.
"N-NO!" Momo pushed the baby off her, pushing the whole monster off her as well.
The baby then started to cry at being pushed roughly. The head of the woman came back to 'look' at Momo, now getting her arms and hands up to try and grab her.
"S-Stay away!" Momo exclaimed as she swung the mallet at the creature again.
But then, the monster woman blocked the mallet swing with her arm and pushed the weapon away from it with great force, making Momo lose her balance and the mallet to the side.
"AH!" she landed her back on the edge of the kitchen counter and let her hands be on the counter to see what else she could use to stop this thing.
When she got out a kitchen knife, she swung it at the creature.
She stabbed it in the left side of its neck.
OOAOAAOOOAAAUGH!
The baby, who was still crying, tried to grab Momo's shirt again, this time grabbing a button that was on Momo's chest area. It reared its arm down and the button came off.
"ACK!" Momo left the knife in the monster's neck and reached out behind her on the counter again to get something, anything.
She grabbed a frying pan.
She then swung it at the monster hard.
WHAAAM!
The pan hit the monster's right side of its head, knocking the creature down on the ground.
That's when Momo ran away from it as it tried to recover from the force of the hit. The baby was still crying, causing Momo to be deeply disturbed by its screeching sound.
Meanwhile, Izuku was luring the Green Rabbit away from Momo. Running to the living area, he watched the monster take his time as he dragged his weapon over to where he was.
Not knowing how to beat this thing without any bullets, Izuku was trying to think how to do this.
Wait! Didn't whoever on that screen tell me there were bullets lying around here!?
Izuku looked at a cabinet that had a drawer near a chair. He quickly went to it and opened the drawer to find...a pack of bullets!
Whoa! Oh, thank goodness!
He grabbed the pack and backed away from the Green Rabbit, who was getting closer to the boy.
Putting the small pack of bullets in his jeans pocket and struggling to get one bullet out to load his gun, the Green Rabbit began to lift his sword over his shoulder as he was close enough to attack Izuku.
When he put the bullet inside the gun, Izuku was going to raise his gun to shoot the Rabbit, but seeing that he was going in for a downward strike, he decided to rush and dive out of the way.
The Green Rabbit brought down the knife-sword...and missed Izuku, but cut the flat screen TV in half!
It cut like a knife through butter, the useless appliance making sparks as the blade cut through the frame and screen.
Izuku dove and rolled out of the way, the gun still safely in his hand. He got up quickly and saw that the monster was trying to get his sword out of the TV screen. He wasn't going to take any chances, and aimed at the Rabbit and fired a headshot.
BANG!
The Green Rabbit got shot in the left 'temple', his hand going up to the wound as it bled down his 'face'.
Soon, Momo came up to Izuku.
"We need to go!" Momo told him hurriedly.
"Right!" Izuku nodded as they both ran out of the apartment room.
When they exited the room, Izuku took a right turn to the hall. Momo, although confused, decided to follow her classmate down the hall.
They went up to a fire escape door. Izuku grabbed the handle of the door and thankfully it was open.
"Let's go!" He advised Momo, and she trailed behind him down the staircase. The staircase area was a little dark, so they quickly turned on their clip-on flashlights again.
They went down the staircase to the second floor...and then they went down the first floor...
When they saw the 'EXIT' sign near a door, they went through it...
...and they were outside in the night again.
But they kept running, letting the lights on their flashlights illuminate the way in the fog. They were in an alleyway beside the apartment complex, and they ran down it...
...they ran...
...and they ran until they reached another foggy street, now behind the complex.
They kept running until they slowed down...
Feeling exhausted, Izuku and Momo heaved out breath after breath as it looked like the coast was clear, seeing that no one was chasing them...
"Huff...huff...huff...huff..." Izuku got his hands on his knees to catch his breath. "I...huff...I think we...huff...I think we lost them."
"Huff...Y-Yeah...huff..." Momo also got her hands on her knees, catching her breath. "Huff...How did...huff...how did you know where to go?"
Izuku stood up and gave out one last sigh, "I...w-well, I think it's...whoever is doing this. This...maybe it's a Villain? I don't know...but he told me where to go."
"Told you where to go? Like...telepathically?" Momo asked interested.
"Um...I think? I don't know, he just gave me directions...and told me stuff..." Izuku took the time to observe his surroundings.
They were now on a street...there was an intersection up ahead.
"...Come on," Midoriya told her as he went forward.
"Huh?" Yaoyorozu was about to follow him until she remembered someone else. "Wait! What about Bakugou!?"
Midoriya paused. "Oh...yeah..."
That guy said he would probably get out soon...maybe he...has?
"...I-I think he's okay. We slept in one of the rooms, so maybe he just went on out without us. Besides, we can't see the time on our phones either way...a-at least I think." Izuku checked his phone real quickly and saw that the time was not on his phone screen. "...Yep. Still nothing."
Momo reached into her skirt pocket and got her phone out to see that it wasn't showing anything as well. "Hm..." she put it back in her pocket, "Well, you could be right...I didn't hear any explosions coming from him while we were in the apartment complex."
Izuku chuckled humorlessly, "Yeah...he's...probably fine."
Yeah...I would think so...Kacchan is strong...he can get out of any pickle...
...They stood there for a while...
"...Midoriya..." Momo said to him.
"Hm?" Izuku turned his attention to her.
"...Whatever you saw...back there in the room...the one where you wrecked the TV..." Momo glanced at the ground for a moment.
Izuku winced.
Oh man, not now. I can't talk to her about...that...
"Um, yeah, uh, look, Y-Yaoyorozo..."
Momo looked up at him with a blink.
"I mean, I-I don't think I can...talk about that..." he lowered his gaze to the ground.
Looking at the boy, Yaoyorozu just frowned in pity. "Well...either way, if you want to talk about...what you saw...I'll...I'll be able to give you a lending ear."
Izuku looked up at the girl with a soft smile. "Um...o-okay...I'll...I'll think about it."
She nodded with a small smile as well. "Alright then..."
...They stood there for a moment...until Izuku turned to the intersection ahead of them and gave out a determined face. "Okay...we need to find Iida."
Putting on a serious face as well, Momo nodded, "Right."
And so they walked ahead...to where, Izuku has yet to find out...
Either to this middle school...or to the hospital...
...He'll just have to see where the foggy path leads them...
[Bakugou]
WHAAAM!
The punch sent Bakugou flying down the hall.
As he landed, he skidded on the floor, letting him roll on the surface until he stopped.
He lay there on his stomach as he tried to get back up, being punched in the stomach by this...beast of a samurai.
"Ergh..." Bakugou hacked out saliva, the wind knocked out of him. "Ugh...shit...I tried to blow this fucker up, but...he's still standing!"
As he struggled to get back up, Bakugou looked out in the hallway's distance, the lights shining down from the ceiling as the black-armored samurai was a little ways away from him. The samurai then took another step to keep their leisurely walk toward Bakugou.
Shit! ...Okay, this samurai guy here is strong...he's pretty much a big problem already. What do I do? Do I just...no. I won't retreat! I will fight this damn Villain and save Auntie Inko! Even if I have to get beaten to shit here, I'll keep going! Cause I am a Hero, and Heroes aren't weak.
"You think you can scare me off with your super strength!? I'll keep blasting you until I chip and break your fuckin' armor!" Bakugou yelled at the samurai.
He ran toward the warrior and prepared to strike him with an explosive right fist. When he neared the samurai, he threw the punch, but the warrior blocked it with his left arm.
BOOM!
But Bakugou used the explosion from his fist to propel himself to spin around and use his right leg to kick the right side helmet of the samurai!
...The kick didn't even phase the warrior! It didn't even make a crack on the helmet!
The samurai then grabbed his leg instantly with his right hand and placed his left hand on the back of Bakugou's shirt while he was in midair. He lifted Bakugou above himself with his left hand, his right hand soon off his leg and reaching behind Bakugou's right shoulder as he lifted him with both hands now, and threw him across the hall forcefully!
WHOOOOSH!
Bakugou once again landed on the floor of the long hallway, the impact making him skid on the surface as the sweat coming down his skin made tiny explosions off of him.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOOM!
He landed and rolled down the hall...
...Now on his back, Bakugou struggled to get back up on his feet as he lifted himself from behind. Once on his feet, he gained his bearings and looked ahead at the long hallway to see the samurai in the far distance. It looked like the two-red-horned samurai was about one hundred feet away from him.
Shit...that bastard threw me really hard...maybe...
Bakugou shook his head with a grunt. "Damn it! I got to find some way to beat this thing...but I don't want my ass getting handed to this guy!"
As the samurai was still leisurely walking towards him, taking his time, Bakugou tried to think up some kind of plan.
Fuck...everything I throw at this guy, I get smacked right back! What do I fuckin' do!?
Bakugou looked behind him...
...and failed to notice that a pair of stairs were just a way behind him.
"Huh?" Bakugou blinked, "Those are...stairs..."
He looked back at the samurai, who was still walking over to him, taking his valuable time to reach him.
"...Fuck, I'm here to save Auntie Inko. I'll take care of this bastard later."
He turned around to go to the stairs. When reaching them, he went down them revealing that they were connected to a staircase. He went to the next floor down, where he remembered he was on the fourth floor and that he had to go to the third floor to find Inko.
Going to the third-floor door, he opened it and began looking for that room Deku had said earlier.
"302...302...302...30-here!" Bakugou stated to himself.
The door to Room 302...was closed.
"Hold on, Auntie Inko! I'm coming!" Bakugou then blasted the door to the room...
BOOM!
...and went inside.
...The room was dark.
Shit, this place is dark...where's the light switch?
Bakugou reached to the side of the wall and felt the light switch. He turned on the lights...
All the lights were on...and showed before him that it was all just one room...
A bright white room that had a chair, a table, and...a laptop on the table.
...Bakugou looked at his surroundings to see if anything or anyone else was in this room.
"What the...fuck?" he mumbled in confusion.
...He went forward inside the room.
"Auntie Inko!?" he called out.
...No one answered.
"..." Bakugou scowled as he growled, "Damn it! That stupid Deku! I knew he didn't know jack-shit where his own mom is!"
Damn...that fucking idiot...tch! He doesn't deserve Auntie Inko...
...
...Like I don't deserve that hag of a mom I have.
He turned around to exit the room...
...But there was no exit to the room.
Bakugou blinked in alarm and confusion. "What the-?"
All of a sudden, the phone in his pocket rang.
"Huh?" he looked down at the sound. Getting it out, he looked at the caller ID.
You Should Pick This Up
...The way the caller ID was so specific, it almost weirded Bakugou out a bit.
Either way, he answered his phone and retorted angrily, "Who the fuck is this!?"
"..."
"Well!? Answer me you, bastard!"
"...Sit."
"...What?" Bakugou asked him puzzled.
"Sit down on the chair...and answer some questions." said the cryptic voice.
"..." Bakugou turned his attention back to the chair and table with the laptop on it.
"If you answer honestly, then you can leave..."
And that's when the phone hung up.
"...Tch! Okay then, this son of a bitch wants me to answer some questions...fine." Bakugou pocketed his phone and then went to the table.
Upon coming up to it and sitting on the chair, he looked at the laptop on the table.
The front of the laptop said "OPEN ME".
"...Pfft. Duh, I got to, ya dumbass," he grumbled as he opened the laptop, waiting for the screen to come up...
...once it came up there was one question in a white screen and black letters with selections for answers.
The question was:
1. WHY DO YOU WANT TO BECOME A HERO?
A. For fame and wealth.
B. To be the best Hero there ever was.
C. Both answers A and B.
D. To show someone that they could never amount to being a Hero even if they tried.
There also another selection that had the number two on it. On it, it said this:
Use this lifeline to cancel out any answers and figure out which of the last two is the correct answer.
"..." Bakugou raised an eyebrow. "Huh..." he glanced at the lifeline and thought about it. "...Didn't know there was a correct answer...ah hell, I'll just use it to see."
He dragged his finger on the mouse pad and clicked on the lifeline.
...The answers C and D were shown.
...Bakugou blinked. Frowning at this, he narrowed his eyes and growled.
Someone is mocking me...
"...Tch. Ah hell, I don't think this would matter. I'll just pick C."
He dragged his finger to the C answer...
...Although, I wanted to let that damn Deku know his place...but now that he has a Quirk, I have to look at him as...
...Bakugou scowled as he grumbled, "He is not an equal to me."
That little shit...he thinks he can hide that Quirk all those years? Tch...
...Now he doesn't know for sure...which answer it is...
"...Ah, fuck." Bakugou then switch his answer to D.
He clicked on the answer and clicked on 'Next'.
It went to the next question. It said:
2. DO YOU HATE QUIRKLESS PEOPLE?
Yes.
No.
"...What the...?"
...What is this shithead's game?
...He sat there as he truly thought about it.
...I mean, I don't hate them, I just...hate...
...
...Deku...just him...
...Bakugou dragged his finger to the 'No' option and clicked on it. He went to the next page.
The next question...took a turn.
3. THEN WHY DO YOU HATE MIDORIYA IZUKU, AKA 'DEKU', SO MUCH?
...Bakugou's eyes widened at the question.
What the-!?
"Okay, what the fuck is this!?" Bakugou said standing up and knocking the chair down behind him. "Who's behind this shit!? Show yourself now, or I blow this fuckin' place and your face to the curb!"
Then...his phone rang.
Bakugou angrily got it out and he shouted at it once he answered it. "WHO THE FUCK YOU THINK YOU ARE!?"
"...Answer the question."
Growling at not answering him, he yelled at the person on the other line, "What's your game!? Why would you even fuckin' care about whatever fake-ass relationship I have with that bastard!?"
"...Answer...the question."
"...Feh! Fine!" Bakugou disconnected the call and put his phone in his pocket harshly. He looked at the answers, there being seven of them.
A. He annoys me.
B. He thinks he can amount to ever being a Hero.
C. He thinks he's better than me.
D. He lied to me about not having a Quirk.
E. He thinks I'm weak.
F. He has a better mother than me.
G. All the above.
"..." Bakugou looked at the lifeline button. "...Feh! Let's see what two answers are left here."
He clicked on it.
...It showed just options C and G throughout the board.
He sneered, "Tch! Of course it's fucking 'all the above'."
He clicked on it and went to the 'Next' page.
I swear, if there's like twenty more of these, I'll lose my mind.
...The question, though, said:
4. WHY ARE YOU HERE?
"...Why am I here?" Bakugou raised an eyebrow. "What is this, some philosophical shit?" He looked at the answers.
...There were a lot.
A. To reconcile.
B. To redeem myself.
C. To change my outlook.
D. To condemn myself.
E. To punish myself.
F. To kill myself.
G. To suffer.
H. To burn in Hell.
I. To live.
J. To survive.
K. To just keep on walking.
...Bakugou had to look at some of the options again to see if he read them right.
"...Whoever this bastard is, he's getting an ass-kickin'," Bakugou grumbled.
...Hell, I just want to survive at this point. I'll pick option J.
So he dragged the mouse to click option J. He went to the button that would say 'Next', but now it says "End'.
Fuckin' thank you...
He clicked on it.
...
...
...
THANK YOU
Then the screen went black.
"...Well, that was all damn pointless..." Bakugou mumbled.
Then, the sound of a door opened behind him.
"Huh?" He turned around to see...
...An average brown door...that appeared out of nowhere.
"...What the...?" he blinked in confusion.
...Okay, someone is definitely fuckin' with me.
"..." Bakugou proceeded to walk toward the door.
...As soon as he was in front of it, he reached for the door handle...
"..." Staring at his hand on the handle, he directed his attention to the door...he twisted the handle and opened the door...
...
...
...
...To be outside in the night again.
...Bakugou walked out of the complex with the door closing behind him...
...He was in an alleyway...
...And he was completely confused.
"...What in the...what in the absolute fuck?" Bakugou muttered, looking around his surroundings.
...He has so many questions.
...Who the hell is behind all of this shit? Wasn't I just on the third floor a while ago? Just...what kind of Quirk does this person, fuck, I don't know, Villain? What kind of Quirk does this guy even have? And...what the hell does this bastard have to do with me and Deku?
...Bakugou just picked a direction and walked forward.
...There's some strange shit going on here...
...He was then on a street...and he kept on walking. A little confused, a little miffed, and maybe even...a little freaked out.
He just kept on walking...
You choose what you choose...but I'm gonna make sure you beg for it all to end.
Okay! And that's the chapter! Now Izuku, Momo, and Katsuki are all out of the apartment complex! Who else are we gonna focus on next time? Will it be Ochako and Jasei? Or will it be Tsuyu? Or will it even be Shouto and Kyoka again? You'll just have to find out! XD
Also, on the other monsters, I haven't named them in this chapter, because they'll be appearing again sometime soon. They'll get their names eventually! But just so you know, the mom monster is called 'Aborter'(yes, that's...pretty harsh), and the samurai monster is called 'The Demon'. ;D
Thank you all for reading! Tell me what you all think with a good review! I love to know how I did! Also, leave a fave and a follow! :)
Until next time, keep on rocking everybody! :D
