Hello again, long time no see. Here's a little tidbit that takes place during Ex Astris Scientia, Chapter 64, the QPid episode, where Q fulfills his promise :)
With a snap of Q's fingers, the Enterprise disappeared and was replaced with a forest. Picard whirled around, looking at his transformed senior officers. They were decked out in... Robin Hood attire? He himself was wearing Lincoln green and carrying a bow and arrows. "Where's Elle?" he demanded, whirling. "She was right there."
Worf and Riker spread out, searching. "Not here, sir," Riker said.
"Q!" Picard bellowed.
"Calm down, mon capitaine, really, no wonder Dr. Crusher is worried about your blood pressure," Q said, appearing in a flash of light. He seemed more smug than usual. "Your precious civilian consultant is just fine. Actually," he looked into the distance and smirked, "she's having the time of her life right now."
"If you've placed her in danger-" Dr. Crusher started.
"She's perfectly safe," Q sniffed. "Honestly, Beverly, why would I harm the only one who openly calls me a friend? She's fine. I'd worry more about your little situation." He smiled and bowed. "You may call me, the Sheriff of Nottingham." And he vanished in a burst of light.
Picard sighed. "If he's the Sheriff of Nottingham, this must be his version of Sherwood Forest."
"Making you Robin Hood?" Riker asked, smothering a grin.
"Sir, I protest," Worf said. "I am not a merry man."
Somewhere on a higher plane of existence, Q saved that little bit of reality to a pocket dimension and placed it on Elle's desk on the Enterprise.
