As Hermione rushed to catch her college bus, the weight of her broken heart pressed against her chest. Parvati Patel, one of her usual bus companions and close friends, was absent. Seated in the last row, she immersed herself in chats with other friends. Then upon opening Instagram, she stumbled upon a classmate's story with her boyfriend, unwittingly triggering thoughts of Ron.

Fighting the urge, she scrolled through photos of them, yearning for the moments they once shared. Reading their old chats, tears welled in her eyes. Determined to keep her vulnerability hidden, she leaned over, using the bus seat as a shield. The playful banter, shared dreams, and promises of forever echoed in her mind, leaving her to question why those vows had unravelled.

Unable to delete the precious memories, she clung to the hope that Ron might return. Realization struck: she might be forever tethered to his memory, incapable of loving another. Recalling the fleeting smile his birthday message had brought, she grieved that now they have been reduced to nothing

Without Parvati to distract her, she delved deeper into their conversations, tears streaming down. Oblivious to the bus reaching college, she was deeply engulfed into reading those chats. Once she realized that the bus reached college, she hurriedly disembarked, running to the washroom to conceal her pain. In solitude, she washed her face, whispering reassurances to herself.

Navigating the day, she put on a facade of normalcy. Concealing her shattered state, she smiled and conversed with friends during class, hiding her torment beneath a veneer of strength. Some days she was fine but most of the days were filled with trying to be normal. The first period, Managerial Economics, a compulsory class for her electronics and communication engineering major, became a bitter reminder of what she could no longer share with Ron, a business major. Throughout the lecture, her mind wandered, yearning to discuss the subject with him, to learn and grow together. Pushing aside these thoughts, she masked her inner turmoil. Difficult days like these demanded a delicate dance between her broken heart and the facade she presented to the world. As she braved through each smile and conversation, the echo of Ron's absence resonated in every unspoken word and hidden tear.

Once her classes for the day have been done Hermione boarded the bus homeward. On the way it passed through Ron's house reminding her of the last time she was there.

9th March 2023

Hermione was nervous and excited it's been quite some time since she and Ron met due to their busy schedules and also because of a fight they had before. Hermione's disappointment stemmed from what she perceived as Ron's silence—a feeling of being neglected that she didn't fully comprehend. Little did she know, Ron was grappling with a significant problem: a small error in his paperwork resulted in the rejection of a crucial exam application. The meticulous preparations, the confidence he built up, and the anticipation for the exam all crumbled into disappointment when he couldn't even attempt it. On top of that, the financial strain of a non-refundable registration fee added to his stress. Amidst this, Hermione's unhappiness became a powerful force, and their relationship found itself caught in a tempest of misunderstandings. Regret filled Hermione as she became aware of the depth of Ron's struggles. She scolded herself for not fully grasping the gravity of what he was going through. In her pursuit of connection, she unintentionally became an additional source of pain, unknowingly burdening Ron

As Hermione opened the door and saw Ron on the other side, she couldn't help but flash a smile. Beneath the surface of that smile, though, she was trying to hide the nervousness bubbling within her. Ron, in return, mirrored the smile, but there was something unspoken lingering in the air—an invisible weight carried over from their recent argument. Choosing the familiar comfort of the sofa, they sat down. The tension in the room was palpable as they treaded carefully in their conversation. Every word felt like a delicate step, mindful not to trigger another disagreement. They were only talking about the casual topics and their mutual friends. The ticking clock on the wall added a subtle soundtrack to their uneasy exchange, reminding them that time was ticking away, and they had only a limited window before Ron's family would return. The air, charged with unsaid words and unresolved emotions, created an atmosphere where every glance, every pause, spoke volumes.

As their eyes met for the millionth time that day, Ron shifted closer, initiating a series of tender kisses on Hermione's neck. That was all the initiation that was required to diffuse the tension. They frantically moved to the bedroom and closed the door behind them. As Hermione lay down, Ron moved atop her, their lips meeting in a fervent exchange. Slowly, hands explored beneath clothing, an unspoken bridge rebuilding the intimacy they had momentarily lost. In the warmth of the moment, the past argument faded, replaced by a shared desire to rediscover the connection that had weathered storms before. Slowly Ron's hand touched Hermione's breast. Hermione was in heaven. They continued exploration of each other for more than hour. Hermione's lips became redder than a red lipstick. As they nestled together in an embrace, Hermione felt the comforting warmth enveloping her. Ron's arms wrapped around her provided a sense of security, like a protective shield against the uncertainties that lingered in their shared space. With each passing moment, the world outside seemed to fade away, leaving only the cocoon of their shared embrace. It was as if they had carved out a sanctuary, a place where worries and misunderstandings couldn't breach the walls they were building with every comforting touch. The warmth of the cuddle spoke a language that words struggled to convey—a language of reassurance, understanding, and a silent promise of better days ahead. In that moment, Hermione found solace in the simplicity of physical closeness, a reminder that sometimes, the most profound connections were forged in the tender moments of shared vulnerability.

Laughter echoed through the drawing room as they emerged from the embrace of the bedroom, forgetting about their previous disagreement. That just seemed so trivial. As Hermione readied herself to depart, the air held a promise yet to be spoken. Wrapped in a snug embrace, she leaned in, whispering softly, "Let's promise, Ron, that nothing else will come between us. I can't imagine my life without you." The words lingered, carrying the weight of sincerity. Ron responded with a hug tighter than before, his silent agreement conveyed in the strength of his hold. A lingering kiss sealed their pact, a simple yet profound vow etched in the language of shared emotions. In that moment, amidst the unspoken vows and tender gestures, they embraced the potential for a stronger relationship. Hermione has never been more happier.
