Kugra was waiting when he came out.
"Her power is shaking," She says,
He stops. "She will want release, stay close," He told her,
"And the dragon?"
Sesshomaru glares at her. "Is none of your concern,"
"Hurting her feelings is only making things worse,"
"She will learn,"
"No she won't, one has to want to learn,"
"She cares about me,"
"And you care about her,"
"Do not presume to know how I feel," He leaves leaving no room for her to speak anymore.
They were so busy hating each other to really see that they both just wanted the other to be safe.
Kaugra rolled her eyes.
If Oregana thought she was getting off easy, she was dead wrong.
He had her by the hair and yanked back. "Do not touch what is mine,"
"I was only defending you!"
"I do not need your aid woman,"
"Why do you not just kill her!"
"Why dont I just kill you,"
"My Lord!"
"And leave your claims over my seed out of your mouth, for that is the only place it is going,"
He releases her, "Leave me,"
She's angry but she leaves with a quick bow and now she too has a plan of her own. She was going to free Kagome the same way the other wives were freed.
Little did both Miko and dragon know, their plan was the same. But it was deadly, scandalous, and was going make Kaugra's job, easy.
Kagome rushed out into the night to release power, Kuagra following closely behind while a dragon princess was sneaking to her brother for dragon males would do anything for the females and her request only made him smile.
Kagome tried over and over to bring up her arrow, but it had been a while and her emotions were all over the place and she was angry.
Meanwhile, Oregana knows that Kugra is in fact babysitting. She seeks her out, keeping a low profile.
"Kaugra,"
"Dragon,"
"I am going after the Miko," She starts to transform.
Kaugra, worried, goes after the dragon. She thinks she chasing, but she's being drawn away and while the wind is distracted, a dragon male moves in.
"Miko?"
Kagome turns with a gasp. "You,"
"I beg your pardon, my name is Calan,"
Kagome looks around, she knows Kaugra is down the hill from her.
"Kaugra and my sister are engaged right now, your lord husband was rather upset with everyone,"
Kagome looks away, "Dont call him that,"
"Lord?"
"My husband,"
Calan comes closer, "I do apologize for my sister,"
He looks at Kagome's hands. "Is something wrong?"
Kagome tries again, unbothered by this male being there.
He watches as her power cracks in her hands, this time it's stronger and the fireflies of the field run away. Kagome tries to be calm, closing her eyes and shaping it in her mind and then, in her hands.
Calan steps back, "Amazing,"
Kagome opened her eyes and smiled, "I knew I could still do it!"
"Such power,"
With a flick of her wrist the arrow is gone.
"Why would you give up holy ship for him when he does not seem to care?"
"I didnt give it up for him,"
"Then what my sister says is true?"
Their eyes meet, "Yes," She whispers "But the joke was on me, he is my punishment," In more ways than one. "The Gods are angry with me, my mentor was angry with me, he was angry with me,"
"And yet you are his wife,"
"His father thinks I could save him,"
A tear forms as a sick feeling tumbles in her stomach, "But im the one who needs saving."
"You want to be free of him?"
Yes, no. She wondered for a moment, if she went to him this night and begged him, would he send the others away? No, he warned her about this moment in the very beginning. Kagome looks down but Calan gently touches her cheek, making her look up. "Can I help,"
"It would start a war,"
"There is already war," He told her,
"He would kill you,"
"He would have to catch me,"
"There is only one way to free me,"
He leans in, "You want babies,"
Kagome closes her eyes.
Meanwhile, Oregana flies down, transforming she rushes to Sesshomaru. Kagura is hot on her tail.
"My lord, she is trying to stop me but I must inform you!"
"Dragon!" Kaugra snaps,
"What," Sesshomaru snaps,
"I am afraid my brother has done something unthinkable!"
"Whatever she is saying it is a trick," Kaugra speaks,
"I do not lie, he is with her now,"
Sesshomaru looks at Kaugra, "Where is Kagome,"
"On the hill,"
"With my brother,"
"She could soon purify him," Kaugra speaks and thats when the dragon smiles, "Or give herself to him, her womb,"
"You lie," Kaugra speak again,
Both women look at Sesshomaru, "I do not, she wants freedom, see for yourself,"
Kaugra watches as the white in Sesshomaru's eyes go pink and he vanishes.
"You have a deathwish for your brother,"
"He knows the risk,"
Kaugra growls. She wanted to say that Kagome wasn't that stupid, and she wasn't. Whatever is happening right now, it is all the dragons doing. Surely, right?
Sesshomaru flies across the sky and finds them.
Calan's mouth is on her neck, and Sesshomaru sees red. Swooping down he throws Calan back.
"Sesshomaru!" Kagome gasp,
Calan is up and transofmrng.
Sesshomaru follows suit.
Kaugra and Oregana quickly catch up.
"You foolish girl what were you thinking!" Kaugra yells,
Kagome paid her no mind. She was frantic as the giant dog demon and the dragon fought.
The dragon roars,
"Calan!" Kagome yelled, making Sesshomaru look back at her. Calan moves.
"No!" Kagome gasps and quickly tries to form her arrow again. But it's hard, "What was I thinking," She whispers,
She tires as both males draw blood on the other.
Her heart is racing.
"You have to calm down Kagome," Kaugra tells her, "Draw in your energy, think of you who wish to save,"
Kagome closes her eyes.
"She could kill him and be free," Oregnan speaks
"Shut up." Kaugra snaps. "She won't kill him,"
"You seem sure,"
"Of course im sure, she isn't going to kill the man she really loves,"
Kagome cries out, "I dont love him!" But her arrow forms and she grabs the bow on the ground, "Sesshomaru!"
He looks back at her,
"Move you jerk!"
Calan moves to make another attack, "Calan!" She yells and fires her arrow.
"Brother!" Oregano yells but it's too late. The arrow pierces his scales and he goes down.
Oregana runs to him.
Sesshomaru is not done. He goes back to human form and says to her, "Say it again Miko!" He growls knocking her bow out of her hand, "Tell me how you hate me,"
He puts a bloody arm around her waist and in a flash, they are both gone.
