Chapter 4: Shido Itsuka, kitchen ace (And taking babes).
Day had broken in Tengu city, the slayer stood up and walked outside his makeshift home. It was a such a lovely sunny day, the birds were singing, the leaves blew with the wind and a girl in a gothic Lolita dress had just killed a bunch of punks. Wait that last part didn't seem right, especially now that Shido of all people had appeared and witnessed it as well.
He was shocked, terrified, he even threw up. The Slayer didn't blame him either, he watched as Shido tried to run away but was grabbed by a mass of hands that had erupted from darkness. She seems like she was about to hurt the poor idiot so the Slayer sprung into action and before she could even react, he ran up behind her and snapped her neck so hard, her face was now looking at him. Her lifeless body fell to the floor as it was consumed by the darkness.
"K...Kurumi. Why? Why did you kill her?!" Shido had yelled in great anger at the Slayer. This confused him, she had killed all those people and was probably about to him. He should have been thanking the Slayer. The young boy began to weakly punch the slayers armored abdomen, he knew he was doing nothing but it's all he could do. "I could have saved her but you killed her." He cried as he continued to let out his anger on the metal man.
"You get away from my brother!!!" The Slayer heard a new voice form above as he looked up and caught an energy sword in his hand. Shido: "Mana, what are you doing here and what are you wearing." Mana: "No time to explain big bro, I was going to save you from nightmare but now I'll be saving you from Avenger." "Avenger" Is that what she just referred to the Slayer as? Must be some code name, like how Yoshino was called "Hermit". He was prepared to fight her but he didn't ruin Shido's day even more by killing his sister too. So he took out his plasma rifle and set it to stun, it felt wrong to but he didn't want to kill the young bluenette. He began to shoot at her as she activated her realizer and shielding herself.
"Do you really think your gun can damage my realizer" she didn't realize her mistake, the plasma shots caused her shield to overload and explode on her. "Gah!!!" She screamed as the Slayer zoomed in and delivered a punch to her face that he continued and slammed her into the ground causing a crater to form. To his surprise however, she was still conscious and kicked him into the air. He used his thruster boots to thrust himself at even incline as he landed and slid back. "It seems like I've underestimated you but nonetheless, I'm gonna defeat you. For it is both my job and honor as Adeptus 2!!!"
She flew towards the Slayer at top speed but stopped shortly. "But I'm about to- Fine orders are orders. We aren't done here yet, I swear I'll kill you for putting Onii-San in danger." She flew off with an angry look. As she did, the Slayer helped Shido up but he ran away as the Slayer's vision was engulfed in a green light.
The Slayers surroundings were different now, the park had turned into a room with steel walls and a teleporter. He took out his super shotgun and prepared for trouble, so he made his violence double. Suddenly a young girl with red hair had entered the room. "You can put the gun down, we aren't here to hurt you, at least if you don't hurt Shido that is." He complies, it seemed as if these were Shido's friends. "Good, now follow me and don't worry about the idiot, we'll take good care of him.
The Slayer followed the girl into what looked like a control room. "Welcome to the Fraxinus. We're Ratatoskr, we're a group dedicated to saving spirits. You've met some already too, Tohka, Yoshino and the one you killed was named Kurumi." She introduced him to the crew, they were a very, "interesting" group of individuals, they were quirky and full of "love". "So let's get down to business, you saved my idiot brother twice already and you appear to be able to fight spirits and have weapons made to kill them but that's not what we're about here, we want to save the spirits. So MR.Slayer-San, who are you?" He stared at her silently, this caused the young girl to gain a tick mark on her head. "It is rude to ignore the commander when she's speaking to you!!!" She elbowed the blonde man named Kanazuki in the stomach as he cried out in Ecstasy.
The Slayer was looking around and saw a port. He decided that this would help them Understand, so he walked over and nonchalantly plugged Vega into the mainframe. He saw Vega's symbol appear on his visor. Vega: "Hello there Slayer, good to see you again. I'm glad you've made some new friends" K: "What did you just do?""!!!" V: "Hello there commander Itsuka, my name is Vega, an artificial intelligence that accompanys the slayer. Allow me to help you understand why he is here" Vega explained to them how the Slayer had ended up here in this world. K: "So some brain in a robot sent you to our world. What kind of science fiction bullshit is this?"
V: "It's more like Science/Fantasy really but that's not important. We require help to get back before DR.Hayden corrupts the universe." K: "Alright fine how's about we make a deal, you help us and we'll help you out. How about I explain to what we're all about here" Kotori than went on to explain what their goal was, to save the Spirits by dating them!!!
Seems like these spirits could be integrated into society. It was a noble goal that Shido was trying, but not everyone can be saved. It reminded him of when him and his borthers in arms were betrayed by the helll priest. They were all separated in hell, him being the only survivor. That day, like many before, brought great rage that he unleashed onto the shadow horde. He decided to leave, he didn't care what Kotori said, he entered the teleporter and Vega sent him to the park.
Later that night.
The Slayer was watching movies with the homeless. They found and old TV and VCR player and set it up. They were watching a movie named "Predator". At first he thought it was an action movie about soldiers fighting unarmed brown people but it was more than that. It slowly turned into a horror movie where these elite killers were being hunted down by an alien. It was 7 foot tall or 2.13 meters in height. It wore a mask, fishnets and armor that covered its arms, legs and a little of the torso and groin. It's weapons were a shoulder mounted plasma caster and wrist blades. Those blades looked useful, very useful. So the Slayer set off that night, Vega directed him to a junkyard where he got busy cookin.
He began to melt down steel and other metals to modify his suit. After countless hours of crafting to his liking he was finished. He had added a new modification to his Preator suit. It was a small attachment under his left forearm, near the wrist. He made a fist to activate it as a large, menacing, serrated blade extended out of it. He admired his fine craftsmanship, he really outdone himself this time. He made a fist again as it retracted back into the mechanism. He decided to name this invention the "Doomblade". He was thinking of something similar to the shoulder mounted gun but Vega told him that he would need more advanced materials for something like that. He decided to head home for the night to await the new day.
That new day came when the Slayer heard the spacial quake alarm go off. V: "It appears that there is a situation going on at the high school, that spirit you killed there other day is the culprit." The Slayer got up and cocked his shotgun. He walked out into the street and began to speed towards the school. He stopped in front of the school to see a battle happening above. He boosted up and vaulted over the railing to everyone's surprise.
M: "What's Avenger doing here?" He looked to see Tohka, Origami and Mana being restrained by multiple Kurumi's. V: "It appears that Miss Tokisaki has the ability to clone herself." Shido was yelling at a specific Kurumi, she had what looked like a giant clock behind her. The Slayer approached Kurumi menacingly. K: "Ara Ara~. Is the big bad Avenger gonna rip and tear me?~". She said in a mocking tone. He wasn't having any of it though, he took out his shotgun and blasted a hole in her head. At least who he though was her as her clone dropped. K: "Tsk, I underestimated you. Oh well, I yearn for a good gun fight~".
Kurumi's began to swarm the Slayer and shot at him, he dodged their bullets and returned fire. He shot a Kurumi in the gut and staggered her, he decided to test out his new Doomblade and bifurcated her. The others were upset and shot him, taking away his armor. He took out his chain gun, put it in turret mode and began shooting Kurumi's left and right. They began to fall from the sky like a fucked up boys fantasy's. He was running low on ammo, so he charged the nearest Kurumi closest to him and rammed his chainsaw into her stomach, cutting upwards as blood covered his body and splitting her upper half apart as ammo popped out of her like a Yandere piñata,
Shido's POV:
Shido couldn't believe what he was seeing. The Slayer was cutting through Kurumi and her copies like a sickle through a field. It made him sick, like he wanted to throw up. He wanted to save Kurumi, she didn't deserve this, in his eyes at least. He wanted to save her but yet he was powerless, the desire was burning in his soul, a sword began to form in his hands but than fire engulfed the rooftop. A large swath of Kurumi's were burned, gaining everyone's attentions. The sword in Shido's hand disappearing as fast as it appeared.
Everyone looked up to see a young red headed girl in a white toga, fire dancing around her and radiating off of her. Shido knew this girl however, for it was his precious little sister Kotori. K: "Looks like I showed up just in time to save the day. Don't worry Shido, I'll take it from here" Kotori created a wide ring of fire to keep the slayer at bay.
Vega: "This ring extends far in all directions, I would advise not trying to move through it." The Slayer heard multiple explosions, gunshots and shouts while in his temporary prison. After a while the flames died down. The Slayer saw that the roof was been shot by some sort of weapon that left a large smooth line in the ground. He looked around to find Shido holding a passed out Kotori, with Kurumi no where to be found. Shido, Kotori and Tohka disappeared, leaving Mana, Origami and the Slayer. The Slayer knew the AST would be here soon so he skedaddled. Right as the sun went down, helicopters were investigating the scene and taking the wounded wizards away.
Epilogue: Westcott laid comfortably in his bed, he began to have pleasant dreams until a voice spoke to him. ???: "Do you wish to obtain absolute power?" Westcott than made an evil smile in his slumber.
