6 Months Later… (22nd December 2004)

I stare at the skies of Camp Halfblood, storms rumbling and the colour grey covering the camp. The seas at the shore of the Camp's beach were in turmoil, with waves crashing against cliffs. I could hear the birds that were trying to escape the camp, pigeons shouting about the sky god's rage, the seagulls crying over the earthshaker's fury. The winds blew so furiously, that the pegasi in the stables practically begged to stay inside.

The Athena Cabin were confused, wondering what happened to cause nature to go into chaos like this. The Hecate Cabin were with Chiron, trying to figure out how to reinforce the camp's artificial weather system, though I already knew that they'd have no luck. The rest of the campers, even the brave (and perhaps foolhardy) Ares Cabin members were inside their cabin, knowing that the current weather would only be detrimental to training.

And, I… I was alone, standing in the rain. Too shocked, and slowly filled with anger and annoyance, because in this camp, I alone knew what had happened.

The Master Bolt had been stolen. And so too had the Helm of Hades.

Despite every action I have done in this new life, the canon has somehow repeated. But it should've been impossible. Luke was safely away in the Lotus Casino with Thalia. And I knew that for a fact.

Which left one single possibility. Kronos had another pawn.

Someone in this camp was a traitor.

But who?

The first person that came to mind was Nashota, the girl who had come to camp last year. No surname, and still undetermined. She was cold to most people in camp, seldom a few such as Clarisse, and a couple of the Undetermined kids. I couldn't read her description in Observe, and her stats were higher than even Thalia's. She was a mystery, and most of all, I didn't even remember her existence from the books.

But despite all her oddities, she couldn't have stolen the Master Bolt. Why? Because she was at Camp the entirety of yesterday. Though a good 70% of campers had gone to Olympus for the tour, I had decided to abstain. Call me a coward, but I didn't feel confident enough to be near so many gods at once, or more specifically, Zeus. Though I guess I should've gone if this was gonna happen. Perhaps I could've caught the thief.

Regardless, Nashota couldn't have been the thief. Icarus had an eye on her the entire time.

So who? Ares couldn't have done it because of that bullshit about gods not being able to steal another's symbol of power. Then perhaps Ares managed to manipulate a kid of his into stealing it? But once again, which one? They were all brutes, but none of them would risk Zeus's wrath, even if it meant their father's fury.

Okay, okay. How about Ethan Nakamura? No. He's also on my watchlist. Unlike in the books, he's a ray of fucking sunshine, compared to his canonical edgelord self. After all, I had essentially gotten him what he died for in the books. Pretty sure he should be worshipping me at this point, what with his whole 'eye for an eye' schtick.

To be honest, I'm drawing a blank. I've got no one to suspect, and those I've suspected are in the clear. Hell, I suspected Annabeth, only because Luke suggested her as a fake suspect in the first book because she had a hat of invisibility, but get this! She gets her hat on her 12th Birthday. Book Luke was so fucking dumb that even his lies didn't make sense!

I sigh to myself. I wasn't getting anything done here apart from getting mad at myself and the world.

February 2nd 2005

"Today is a proud, and monumental day." Chiron says, as he spoke to the camp, "Over the past year, with help of the Cyclops of Lord Poseidon's Forges, our camp has been graced with new cabins dedicated to gods that have been unnecessarily ignored. Today, this camp's greatest mistake has been remedied."

Behind Chiron stood a cabin almost as grand as Zeus's cabin. It stood tall, made of maple wood and Celestial Bronze engravings. Gentle fires burned on hanging braziers, yet everyone knew that if they were to put their hand in the flames, they would not get hurt at all. Red drapes were decorated between the pillars of the cabin, which remind me of Hestia's red hair.

"Cabin 30, dedicated to the Eldest Goddess, Lady Hestia, will house those who know not yet of their parentage, the Undetermined," I see, in the corner of my eye, Hestia wearing her red hood, shedding tears of joy. "And without further ado, I am happy to announce that the Camp's mass renovation… A Success!" And as soon as Chiron says that, the entire camp practically shakes as practically every demigod cheers, especially the undetermined, as finally they felt truly acknowledged.

And in front of me, a screen appears.

Quest Completed!

Camp Spirits

An unfortunately common feature of all demigods is their tragic backstory, for the undetermined it is their absentee parent, for others it is years of isolation from mortals who thought they were weird, and for the rest it's just the life of a demigod.

It may be a long undertaking, but perhaps you can help these troubled children.

Objective: Raise the general happiness of the demigods in Camp Halfblood before Percy Jackson comes to camp.

Rewards: EXP, +100 Levels in Cooking, Berserker Skill, +400 Stat Points in Charisma, Gate of the Bull Key, Killing Intent Skill

However, I didn't pay much attention to it, as the celebrations went on.

Today was a day of happiness for the campers. Though, judging by the look Chiron was giving me, I think he might be wanting to have a chat with me. Weird.

3 Months and 26 days Later… 28th May 2005

Percy Jackson's POV

My name is Percy Jackson.

I'm twelve years old. Until a few months ago, I was a boarding student at Yancy Academy, a private school for troubled kids in upstate New York.

Am I a troubled kid?

Yeah. You could say that.

But compared to Gill, I'm an angel. I mean, he's insane. And I'm pretty sure he's super rich, because if he were anyone else, he would probably be expelled. He barely shows up for classes, apart from Mr Brunner's, and recently, Ms Dodds's Math Class.

Speaking of Math Class, it's like he's taunting Ms Dodds constantly. Giving her these weird smiles, as if challenging her to a fight, throwing spitballs and paper aeroplanes at her head when she's not looking, and goofing off in the class. And the weird thing is, everytime she checks to see if Gill is paying attention, he answers every question perfectly. It's almost creepy how smart he is. The only time he's respectful is when he's with friends or when he's with Mr Brunner.

And as if being smart isn't enough, he's like super popular. All the girls are into him, some of the boys as well, and he's on good terms with everyone.

Which is why it's weird that he's friends with me. Apart from Grover, Gill's my best friend, despite knowing him for like only a few months. When he introduced himself to the class, he immediately got the attention of everyone in the room, yet he took a seat next to me and Grover. He did say something to Grover, something about how it was good to see him again. Maybe their parents hung out? Everyone apart from me here is super rich.

"Hey, Perce. Come over here" Gill calls out, next to some weird exhibit. I hope he shows me something cool at least. This museum trip has been super boring so far.

As I walk to Gill, I try to ignore the envious looks I was getting. Which was weird since it was like the first time anyone was ever envious of me. "What's up Gill?

In front of Gill, was a glass cabinet, and within it was some old looking pot, with black and orange colouring. There was a person painted on the pot, holding a trident or something.

Gill looks at me with a grin, "In here, lies a 2700 year old wine straight outta Ancient Greece, sealed airtight." He knocks on the glass, "And we're about to drink some."

"Woah, Gill, you're planning to steal it?!" I question, shocked. This was crazy, even for him. "What if you get caught? Don't these things have alarms inside?"

Gill just grinned, as if the police were barely an obstacle, "Don't worry Perce. I've got this. Just stand there and turn around so Mr Brunner doesn't see." I sigh. I guess I kinda owe him for helping me with my English homework.

As I turn around, blocking our class's view, I hear nothing from behind me, before suddenly, Gill taps my shoulder, and with a grin he shows me a glimpse of the pot hidden beneath his hoodie. "Mission Accomplished" I look behind him, expecting the glass cabinet to be empty. Instead, there was a pot, just like the one Gill has in hands. Did Gill swap it out for a replica?

"Woah. How did you do that?" I ask, completely confused.

He just put his index finger to his lips and said with a grin, "A magician never tells his secrets" And walks off to the rest of the tour group.

As I follow him, my eyes connect with Mr Brunner, and my heart sinks, because I knew that he'd shoot a question at me.

"Ah, Mr Jackson, why don't you tell us what this picture represents?" I hear Gill give a very quiet chuckle. I wonder what's so funny about that.

I looked at the carving, and felt a flush of relief, because I actually recognized it. "That's Kronos eating his kids, right?"

"Yes, but why?" Mr Brunner annoyingly follows up.

"Uhm, so Kronos is like the King of the Titans," An answer courtesy of Gill thanks to him helping me with last week's Latin Homework. "And he got super paranoid about his kids, so he ate them just after they were born. But like, his wife managed to save Zeus, the King God, and he made Kronos throw up the rest of the gods." I hear Nancy Bobofit make a fake throw up sound, but ignore it, "And so there was this big fight between the gods and the Titans, but the gods won."

Nancy snickers, before asking, "Like we're going to use this in real life. Like it's going to say on our job applications, 'Please explain why Kronos ate his kids.'"

"And why, Mr. Jackson, to paraphrase Miss Bobofit's question, does this matter in real life?"

I hear further snickers, but my mind begins to whirr. I know the answer, Gill kinda already explained it a bit, but I think I get it, "It's like… one of those fables, right? Because Greek Mythology is fake, so the stories are meant to have morals. And the moral of Kronos eating his kids is like, if you act rashly then the thing you're trying to stop is more likely to happen because of your actions… Huh, isn't it kinda like that Oedipus story?"

Gill loudly cackles, as Mr Brunner turns a little green, "Let's not talk about Oedipus. Ever." Mr Brunner looks at me, and gives me an appraising look, "But not bad Mr Jackson. A good answer." I do notice that he glances at Gill. Damn, did he know that Gill had helped me? But it's not like it was breaking a rule or anything.

"Nerd" Nancy insults me, though I just roll my eyes. Honestly, it's gotta be the first time anyone has called me a nerd.

As Mr Brunner kept talking about Greek Mythology, I kept feeling like there were eyes staring directly at me. From Ms Dodd's location. I try to shrug the feeling off… But it doesn't seem to leave.

15 Minutes Later…

Outside the Museum…

Gill's POV

"Dude, Nancy's on her way." Grover says Percy, who in return sighs in annoyance. I knew what it was like. In my previous life, it eventually got beyond annoying rather than despairing.

The three of us sat together on the edge of the fountain, just like in the books. Honestly, ever since I met Percy, my fanboy instincts took over every single stat point in my Intelligence stat. I hung out with him as much as I could without it seeming creepy, I did stupid shit like stealing Ancient Greek Wine like earlier to impress him, and fun of Ms Dodds since Percy hated the Fury. Hell, I even tutored him for free a little bit so I could hang out with him more. I mean, I'm literally chilling with the same dude who fought fucking Ares and came out on top, and that was when he was 12! He's going to do it in like a month!

"Hey, Gill," The red haired girl greets, "Wanna hang out with me and my friends?" I internally sigh. Why can't this kid take a hint? I mean sure I still said hello to her, but I literally said, in front of like 15 people, that I wasn't interested. She's 12 for fuck's sake! I'm not trying to catch a case.

"Sorry Nancy," I denied in a false apology, "But I'm eating with Percy and Grover, right now" Urgh, I hate having to be a responsible adult. I'd love to tell the bully to buzz the fuck off, but considering she's 12, I'd rather not make her run away in tears.

The redhead scrunches up her nose, sneering towards the boy and satyr, "Urgh, I don't see why anyone would ever want to be near these two" Woah, this girl has like… no social filter all.

"Hey, chill out." I chide, "Perce and Grover are good people. So how about you finish your lunch Nancy." It was clear that the girl wanted to say something more but, I think she knew that she'd not get another word in, as she walked away clearly annoyed.

"Dude, it's crazy how you can easily get Nancy to screw off, and still have her like you." Grover whistles, "I don't see why you don't date her though. She's like the most popular student apart from you."

I scrunch my nose at the suggestion, "Nah, I like older chicks."

"Ew… You're into Ms Dodds?" Percy jokes.

I elbow his left side, and exclaim, "Dude, don't even joke about that." However, in the corner of my eye, I see the aforementioned fury walking towards us. Hmm… Why not indirectly give Percy some assistance? Pretending as if I'm losing my balance, I grab the back of his shirt, and whilst dragging him down with me, I fall into the fountain. I hear Percy let loose a shout of shock, before he too is swallowed by the fountain.

I quickly get up from the water, soaked, and look to Percy, who seemingly hasn't realised that he had been in the water longer than he probably needed. I pull the boy, and as he sputters out the water (Though he didn't really need to), I apologise, "Sorry dude, I grabbed onto the first thing I could. You okay?"

Percy gets his bearing, and shakes his head to get the water off, "Nah, it's okay. Though I hope it dries quickly" I hide a chuckle. Percy then pales as he sees Ms Dodds walking to us, "Oh, I'm so screwed."

"Now honey-" She says with righteous fury.

"I know," Percy interrupts, despondent, "A month erasing workbooks"

"Come with me" Ms Dodds sneers. Just like in the books, Grover tries to take the blame, but the Fury had a one track mind. As Percy gets up, I whisper to the kid that I'll make it up to him. He looks a little confused, but I had a very good idea of what would make him happy.

As demigod and Fury walk off, Grover looks at me weirdly, "Dude, why'd you pull him into the fountain? Why give the Kindly One a reason to get him alone?" Over the past few months, Grover and I had become good friends, of course nowhere near as good as Grover and Percy, but we're friends nonetheless.

"It was inevitable, Goatboy," I grin, teasing the satyr, "Now, I'm gonna have some fun and watch the fight." As I get up, Grover grabs my forearm.

"Remember what Chiron said." Grover told me, his expression serious, "If Percy kills the Kindly One, then we have to pretend that our Math teacher is a woman named-"

"Mrs Kerr. I know." I roll my eyes, before smiling, "Don't worry dude. If there's one thing I'm better at than killing monsters, then it's gaslighting minors." Though Grover gives me a weird look for the last comment, he does let my arm go, and goes back to eating his enchilada.

God, it's so fucking cool that I'm basically living in the first book.

5 Minutes Later…

Percy Jackson's POV

I roll out of the way, narrowly managing to dodge the claws. What the fuck is happening? How did Ms Dodds turn into some weird demon straight out of the bible?

And as soon as I get up, I see Mr Brunner, in his wheelchair, holding a pen up like a torch, "What ho, Percy!" He shouts, throwing the pen at me. I grabbed it out of the air with ease, which was weird. It's like my instincts and senses have been turned up to a 11 ever since I was plunged into the fountain by Gill.

With the pen in my hand, it morphed into a bronze sword, the same one I've seen Mr Brunner show us from the time to time. I hear Ms Dodds' leathery wings beat, and as she shouts "DIE HONEY!" I did the only thing that came to my mind. My body moved on its own, as it turned around and slashed the sword, severing Ms Dodds' monstrous head from her demonic body.

And then, in a flash of gold dust, there was nothing there. No demon, no monster, and no Mr Brunner. And when I looked at the sword, it wasn't there. Only a pen. My head turns as I hear a chuckle from a window sill high up. But nothing was there… except an empty popcorn bucket. Weird.

When I leave the building, I feel raindrops hitting my head. Huh, I thought it was meant to be dry today. When Nancy sees me, she sneers, "Hah, I hope Mrs Kerr whooped your butt."

"Who?" I ask, confused. Did she mean Ms Dodds? I don't see how you could get those two names mixed up.

"Our teacher, dumbass!" However, I'm still really confused. I've never heard of Mrs Kerr before. Nancy, seeing that she wasn't getting the reaction she wanted, scoffs, and walks off. Huh, maybe I should be more clueless.

I asked Grover where Mrs. Dodds was. "Who?" was all I got. This is really fucking weird. But he paused first, and he wouldn't look at me, so I thought he was messing with me. Maybe Gill put him up to it?

"Not funny, man," I told him. "This is serious." Thunder boomed overhead. I've always hated Thunder. It always feels like a death threat.

I saw Mr. Brunner sitting under his red umbrella, reading his book, as if he'd never moved. I went over to him. He looked up, a little distracted. "Ah, that would be my pen. Please bring your own writing utensil in the future, Mr. Jackson."

I look at the Latin teacher. There was something odd about him. Like he was trying too hard to act normal. I refrain from asking him where Ms Dodds was. I had a gut feeling that I wouldn't get an answer from him.

I roll my eyes as the sound of thunder rumbles the sky once more. Sheesh, I get it god. You hate me.

6 Days Later… (3 June 2005)

At a Cabin in Montauk…

Percy's POV

The past few days have been very, very, very weird. No one remembers Ms Dodds, not even Gill, her biggest instigator. The 'new' Math Teacher, Mrs Kerr, is so plain and boring, I would honestly not be surprised if my ADHD brain created a whole new person to replace her.

Though it didn't really explain why Gill, Grover, and Mr Brunner were having secret meetings in the middle of the night.

"I'm worried about Percy." I stopped dead in my tracks, having heard Grover's voice. Why was he in Mr Brunner's office at this time of night? And why was he talking about me? "I mean a Kindly One at the school! He's in danger now, what's gonna happen in the summer?" What the hell is he talking about?

"Don't worry about it, Grover. He's going to end up at Camp in a week or so" Gill says. What Camp? Are- Are they planning to kidnap me?

"How can you be so sure?"

Gill chuckles, "Come on, Goatboy, who's my dad?"

There is a silence for a minute, before Grover breaks it, "Oh." He says, simply.

"So, the King will be making his move." Mr Brunner sighs. "I can only hope Perseus is ready, Gilgamesh."

"I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Just call me Gill, Mr Brunner" Weirdly, Gill says Mr Brunner's name almost jokingly.

At the sound of thunder, I decided to take my leave, not wanting to get caught by those in the meeting. And from it, there was one thing plaguing my mind.

Gill's real name is Gilgamesh?

Of course, the weirdness didn't end there.

Gill was with me when I returned home. Apparently he needed some place to hang out before he could go back home. His family butler was probably caught in traffic, if I were to guess. So reluctantly, I invited him to my apartment. I could only hope that Gabe would be a jerk like usual.

When we entered the apartment, I could practically feel Gill cringing from Gabe's smell. I felt super embarrassed, even if Gill was trying his best to not make things awkward. Of course, Gabe had to ask me for money as soon as he saw me, and mom was unfortunately at work. It didn't help that Gabe's friend Eddie was there.

In my annoyance, I rushed into my room, accidentally forgetting Gill was still in the living room. By the time I realised I had left Gill with Gabe and Eddie, I came to witness a very… surprising scene. Gill, staring down imperiously upon the two men, and the two men sweating and shaking fear. And judging by the dark spots on the two men's pants, they had a little accident. I don't know how exactly to describe the look on Gill's face, but every time I glanced at it, it sent shivers down to my core. As if any move I make might result in my death.

Of course, as soon as he saw me his whole demeanour changed. Not a monster ready to kill, but into my friend, Gill.

But what was even weirder than that was Gabe, treating me like a king, agreeing to everything I asked. Even when mom arrived home, and Gill left, he treated her like an actual person much to my surprise. It… was creepy, but kinda nice. I was sick of that man's behaviour.

And luckily he easily agreed to mom's trip to Montauk, and gave her an insane amount of money. What exactly had Gill done?

Well, right now, we're in Montauk, it's close to midnight, and all that could be heard was the flicker of flames and the heavy rain. Mom and I were drinking blue cocoa together, though I have no clue how she managed to dye hot chocolate.

But… mom was spooked. The weather outside is horrible, but I don't think it's that bad.

Suddenly, the door to the cabin is smashed open, as fucking Grover shows up, drenched… and then looked to where his jeans are… or should be. Instead, I see goat legs.

Grover begins talking about some random things that I don't really get, and mom seemed to understand what he was talking about, because as soon as he was done talking, she told us both to get into Gabe's Camaro. She didn't bother trying to get our luggage.

As we sat in the speeding Camaro, I ignored the sound of rumbling that seemed to get closer and closer.

"GROVER! MOM! What on earth is going on?" I exclaim trying to clear my confusion, "Why are you acting like we're running from the army, and why is my best friend a donkey?!"

Grover reels back, as if offended, "Blaa-ah! I'm not a donkey! I'm a satyr! I'm a goat from the waist down!"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. A satyr!? Like from Mr Brunner's myths?"

"They're not myths… not exactly" Grover says, not really explaining anything.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"The less you knew, the fewer monsters you'd attract," Grover said, like that should be perfectly obvious. "We put Mist over the humans' eyes. We hoped you'd think the Kindly One was a hallucination. But it was no good. You started to realise who you are."

"Wait- Wha… What do you mean?"

"Percy," Mom started, before she looked back to us, and then her eyes widened in surprise, "-Why is there a giant bird flying next to us." I looked to my right, and sure enough, there's a really big bird, maybe half the size of a jeep, flying besides. Whilst birds don't really have expressions, it was looking at me expectantly. The bird had white feathers, and brilliant blue eyes that looked weirdly familiar.

"Oh, he's finally here," Grover muttered. Was he friends with every animal since he's part donk- I mean, goat? "Percy, open the window!"

"Dude, are you serious? That bird won't fit!" I'm pretty sure it'll get stuck.

"Just do it Percy!" Mom says this time.

I sigh, and unroll my window. When it's done down fully, the bird flies closer, and then in a flash of gold, a person takes place of the bird, and crashes into the car through the window, landing on mine and Grover's lap. Golden hair, and bronze skin, I knew immediately who it was.

"Gill! You're a bird now! What next? Is Mom a fish?!" I shout, freaked the fuck out. What was happening today?

"Your mom's not, but you are!" Gill says with a grin. Before I could ask, Gill looks to my mom. "Hey, Miss Jackson, Gill Ashford, great to meet you. Got good news and bad news. What do you want first?"

My mom looks at Gill, a little freaked out, before answering, "Hi, Gill, let's get the good news."

"Awesome. Well, the good news is that the Camp's barrier is like just up ahead." What camp is he talking about?! I'm so confused.

"And… the bad news?"

"The Minotaur is right behind us." THE WHAT?!

"The Minotaur-"

"Percy, don't! Names have power. Avoid calling it, by that name." Mom chides. I glance behind us, and see entire trees falling to the ground.

"It's chill Miss J. If it comes down to it, I'll just kill it" Gill tells my mom, peering his head through the open window.

"Why don't you just kill it now, Gill?" Grover asks, as if killing people is like perfectly okay.

"I would, but I don't trust Thunderbeard to send another monster after you three whilst I'm dealing with the Minotaur."

And then, I see it. A bull of gigantic proportions, with horns large enough to destroy the car with ease. And Gill thinks he can kill it? What the fuck? "MOOOOO!" It cries out, as trees fall in its path, and lightning flashes, making its monstrous features look all the more terrifying.

Suddenly, Gill climbs out the window, and onto the roof of the car. Is he insane? I mean I knew he was really odd, but not this level!

And then I hear him shout, louder than the rain, and rampaging beast, "I, GILGAMESH ASHFORD, SON OF APOLLO, GIVE SALLY JACKSON AND GABE UGLIANO'S CAMARO PERMISSION TO ENTER CAMP HALFBLOOD!" The sound of lightning nearly bursts my eardrums, but what surprises me more is the beautiful crystalline baby tree we pass by. And then, just as we pass by it, Gill jumps off the fucking car.

Mom, surprised, halts the car, making us rock forward, due to the sudden stop. Readjusting myself, I undo my seatbelt, and open the car's door, despite mom trying to stop me.

And there I see him. Rain pouring down, Gill stood in front of the monster, the latter was breathing deeply, growling, but Gill stood firm, as if the Minotaur was nothing. But what struck me more was Gill's outfit. He wore a long, black cape that tapered off to one side, with a neck collar that covered the lower part of his face. In his hands was a long katana, that was as red as blood. It all looked so odd when you include his bright golden hair. But, there was something frightening about him.

"Hey there Asterion." He greets, as if meeting an old friend. "Care to dance?" The Minotaur, Asterion bellows, before raising its fist, and bringing it down upon Gill.

I yell out to Gill, for him to move, but nothing hits Gill, apart from Asterion's blood. The beast's right fist had been separated from the arm, leaving only a stump. But Gill hadn't moved. Had he?

And suddenly, Gill had disappeared. As if he was never standing in front of the half bull creature. But looking up, I see him, flying down from the air, spinning with his sword, making an illusion of a blood red circle. And as the spinning circle reaches to the bull, it tries to block the boy's sword, but instead, the sword cuts through it, cutting the left arm in half.

Was Gill ever this… powerful?

The Minotaur roars in pain, and swings its head to try and hit Gill, but instead it meets a golden shield attached to Gill's arm. And as soon as Gill kicks his foot to the ground, a rock spike from the earth rises and hits the monster in the torso, knocking it back.

And then, as if something out of a video game, Gill raises his arm, and a spear(?) made out of light or fire, hovers above his hand. And then, moving his hand as if throwing a ball, the spear shoots forward, and pierces the monster's chest, another roar of pain echoing around the crater we had found ourselves in.

Gill, stands in front of the beast, as it tries to find the strength to get up. Gill raises his blade, and then in the span of a few seconds, he makes like 40 moves with the sword, and suddenly blood red slashes appear over the Minotaur, and then, bang. It explodes in a burst of golden dust.

Gill turns around, sheathing his sword, and looks at me with a cocky grin. Until he looks above me, and his smile falls, as he begins to run after me. I look up, and see a flash, but I'm late to move, as white takes over my vision.

Am I dead?
