Too Lost in You – Sugababes
You look into my eyes
I go out of my mind
I can't see anything
Cos this love's got me blind
I can't help myself
I can't break the spell
I can't even try
I'm in over my head
You got under my skin
I got no strength at all in the state that I'm in
And my knees are weak
And my mouth can't speak
Fell too far this time
Baby, I'm too lost in you, caught in you
Lost in everything about you
So deep, I can't sleep, I can't think
I just think about the things that you do (you do)
I'm too lost in you (Too lost in you)
Ooh Well you whispered to me, and I shiver inside
You undo me and move me in ways undefined
And you're all I see and you're all I need
Help me baby (help me baby)
Help me baby (help me now)
Cos I'm slipping away like the sand to the tide
Falling into your arms, falling into your eyes
If you get too near, I might disappear
I might lose my mind
Baby, I'm too lost in you, caught in you
Lost in everything about you
So deep, I can't sleep, I can't think
I just think about the things that you do (you do)
I'm too lost in you (Too lost in you)
I'm going crazy in love for you baby (I can't eat and I can't sleep)
I'm going down like a stone in the sea
Yeah, no one can rescue me (No one can rescue me)
Baby, I'm too lost in you, caught in you
Lost in everything about you
So deep, I can't sleep, I can't think
I just think about the things that you do (you do)
I'm too lost in you
I'm lost in you
I'm lost in you
Lost in everything about you
So deep, (so deep) I can't sleep, I can't think
I just think about the things that you do (you do)
I'm too lost in you (Too lost in you)
She had been surprised to see Colin back in town, especially since he had not mentioned his return in any of his letters. There was no opportunity to talk since he was surrounded by his family. So when Cousin Jack had mentioned attending the races, she had hoped she would get the chance.
First she had to shake her sister off which wasn't difficult since Prudence found her boring company. Now she had to find Colin amongst the crowd and not appear to be looking for him. When she finally located him, she looked anywhere but directly at him while heading straight to him "Pen!"
"Colin!" She hoped that she appeared as surprised to see him as she had an hour ago. Truthfully he may have managed to get out of attending today since he had only just returned so it was a bit of a surprise that he was here in the first place.
"We did not get a chance to speak this morning." She was flattered that he had wanted to. Most people didn't even know she was in the room let alone want to speak to her.
"We did. I said Colin!" Though that was hardly a conversation. "But then again it was nothing of note. But I had wanted to hear more of your travels." His letters had been so expressive that she had felt as though she was right there with him. Which had been a welcome escape from what was happening in her life at the time.
"I would've thought you'd be bored of my travels by now." Perhaps it was a credit to his writing that she was not. "You read and replied to more of my letters than anyone else.
"I suppose I did through there was always more to say than I could put on the page." Mostly because she did not want her mother or sister to see them. Neither of them had any concept of privacy.
"Pen. How have you been?" It was sweet of him to ask. It had not been easy with her father's death. She had only just been able to stop wearing mourning colours which she if possible looked worse in than the bright yellows that her mother insisted she wear.
"Well. I have been well." Apart from missing him which his letters partly made up for and grieving the loss of her father. "And you. Do not answer that, I know how you've been. Exploring the slopes of Mount Olympus, falconry with the Turks."
"It was quite exhilarating." He seemed pleased that she had paid attention to what he had written.
"Also lonely perhaps?" Although she did not wish him to be lonely. Merely that she wanted to be with him on his travels. Also, she was curious if he had met anyone who had captured his affection.
"Mmm. Well I was never on my own, of course." Was he meaning metaphorically or romantically?
"I see. You met someone." She felt as though a fist was clenching her heart in a vice like grip. Who was she and how soon would she be descending on the Ton?
"Pen! I finally found you." She loved Eloise like a sister. A sister she actually liked but honestly, she had the worst sense of timing.
"You always do." Where most people didn't see her even when they tripped over her, Eloise could find her in a field of daffodils and sunflowers, blindfolded.
"You've been back hours, yet you are already in my way." That seemed a little unfair considering Eloise was interrupting their conversation not the other way around.
"How I've missed you too Elle." Colin at least did not seem offended by his sister. More amused than anything, especially when Eloise dragged her away to discuss her latest theory on Lady Whistledown. That particular subject had long grown old for her. But Eloise seemed obsessed.
She wanted to hear more of Colin's travels and the woman he had met while on them. Now she would have to wait until Lady Danbury's party to learn more. That's if he attended.
