Boku no Hero Academia: Custodian Izuku
Disclaimer: This is a crossover fanfiction story of 'Boku no Hero Academia' and 'Warhammer 40k' (yes, really). I own nothing of the two series other than the fanfiction stories that I make.
I am making this story for the sake of fun, fluff and awesome after writing a one-shot story of the same story concept. If I am able to somehow impress fans of Warhammer 40k or even move someone to tears, even better.
Also, if anyone wants to know how in the world I got this idea in the first place, please refer to the artist, Ryuusei (Mark II), who has made some awesome pictures of gender-bent primarchs. The link is: .us/pools/17320
Please note that while I am familiar with the Warhammer 40k setting, my actual knowledge of it is casual at best. Also, if the genderbent primarchs seem at least a bit OOC, please kindly consider the fact that their bodies (especially the traitor primarchs) have changed drastically after entering Izuku's world.
In case anyone asks how much crack I was taking in to come up with the idea, I am just going to say enough to make even a loyalist Adaptus Astartes trippy.
Chapter 8: Gathering Allies
When news of Sanguinius defeating Keigo in a friendly sparring match became known to the students of U.A. High School, it took less than two full days for the rest of hero society in Japan to learn about it as well. Of course, many were initially doubtful of the claims until Keigo himself admitted that he had lost to Sanguinius in the sparring match. Those who disliked Keigo immediately latched onto the idea that he was simply cocky and got humiliated by Sanguinius as a result.
Nedzu, with Keigo and Madam President's permission, revealed a video clip of Sanguinius successfully deflecting all of Keigo's feathers that were attacking her from one direction without suffering even a single scratch. The video clip not only helped to preserve Keigo's reputation as a pro-hero but also proved beyond any doubt that Sanguinius was not to be trifled with.
More than a few villains paled at the idea of Sangunius becoming a pro-hero.
Not surprisingly, many pro-heroes became interested in the girls that Nedzu had planned to place in 'Class 1V' in the following school year. In fact, a certain athletic woman with muscular arms and legs, dark skin, red eyes, long white hair, a pair of rabbit ears and a round fluffy rabbit tail named Usagiyama Rumi, who was also a pro-heroine known as Miruko, was downright eager to challenge the former primarchs to a sparring match.
Seeing an opportunity, Nedzu agreed to let Rumi challenge one of the former primarchs to a sparring match as long as she agreed to be a guest teacher for at least a few days. Seeing no reason to refuse such the condition, Rumi readily agreed.
-In a forested training round known as Ground Omega…-
Rumi grinned eagerly as she faced her opponent, Russ, and said, "So, any reason why you want to fight me in particular?"
"Well, for one thing, there's no way I'm going to skip out on having some fun," said Russ who then grinned wolfishly and added, "Also, as a proud wolf, I'm not going to stay quite about your claim that rabbits are kick-arse without a good fight."
Rumi's grin widened as she could clearly see a kindred spirit and spoke daringly, "Well then, 'Miss Big Bad Wolf', why don't you come over here and let this 'Widdle Rabbit' show you how well she can kick your big sharp teeth in?"
Rather than feel insulted by the dare, Russ laughed boisterously instead and said, "Oh, I'm going to enjoy this one!"
A siren suddenly blared followed by an announcement from Ken, "Miruko… versus… Russ…! Ready… Fight!"
As soon as the start of the match was announced, Rumi and Russ charged towards each other. Just before the two collided into each other, Rumi suddenly did a front flip to slam a heel kick onto Russ. However, Russ was able to respond in time and blocked the kick with one arm. The two combatants smirked at each other before Miruko kicked Russ' blocking arm with her other leg so that she could avoid any possible retaliation form the former primarch.
Undeterred by the second kick, Russ physically transformed into a more feral form with wolf-like traits including the ears, tail and clawed paw-like hands and feet of a wolf. She then charged towards Rumi at a speed even greater than before so that she could attack the pro-heroine before she could touch the ground.
Rumi's grin did not waver as she waited until Russ was about to attack her. She then did a somersault and delivered a powerful upward kick. However, instead of kicking Russ in the chin as intended, Rumi's kick was block by Russ' clawed hand. The pro-heroine barely had time to realise that Russ had blocked her kick before the wolf-like former primarch tried to attack her with her other clawed hand which was clenched into a tight fist. Instinct kicked in as Rumi quickly kicked the other hand away. Before Rumi could strike again, Russ threw her aside as though she was a rag doll.
Being an experienced pro-heroine, Rumi was able to twist her body so that her powerful legs took the brunt of the impact as she landed onto a tree. She then leapt off the tree with the intention of using the added momentum to knock Russ down with a powerful flying kick. Clearly aware of the incoming attack and eager to receive it head on, Russ braced herself for it and got kicked in the stomach as a result. Although the kick was powerful enough to knock her back, Russ was able to regain her footing and stood up. She grinned broadly and said, "Damn, no wonder you believe that rabbits kick arse."
"You're not exactly shabby yourself," said Rumi who was willing to accept the fact that having both All Might and Hawks teach at U.A. High School was actually necessary to ensure that the twelve girls were kept in line and, for those who wish to become pro-heroines in the future, properly trained.
"If I allow a rabbit, even one like you, beat me in a fair fight without giving it my all, I might as well as grow a beard by allowing a possum to crawl onto my face and die… of shame," said Russ.
Rumi snorted at Russ' statement and said, "I'm more of a 'Zootopia' fan but I recognise that line from 'Puss in Boots: The Last Wish'."
"In my defence, that movie was awesome," said Russ who admittedly liked a certain fictional wolf-like incarnation of death itself.
"It certainly was," agreed Rumi who then assumed a fighting stance and asked, "So, shall we continue?"
"I thought you'd never ask," replied Russ before the two resumed with their fight…
-A few minutes later…-
"Well, I can safely say that I'm extremely glad that I'm not in charge of fixing that!" said Ken as a section of the forested training ground had been essentially flattened into a clearing of fallen trees. Although Russ was stronger and tougher than Rumi while in her transformed 'wulfen form', the pro-heroine was agile enough to avoid Russ' attacks which often hit the unfortunate trees instead.
In spite of the stalemate, a single solid strike from Russ was enough for Rumi to suffer fractured bones. To prevent further injury, Ken decided to declare Rumi as the loser of the match in spite of the pro-heroine's protests. That was not to say that Russ was uninjured though as Rumi had been able to give her a black eye and a quite a few bruises before taking the blow that fractured her bones.
Rumi, who was lying on a stretcher, pouted like a child as she complained, "Oh, come on! I can still fight!"
Chiyo glared at Rumi and said, "Absolutely not! You're to stay in bed after I treat your bone fractures and that is final!"
"Ah, don't be such a worry-wart! I've heard of people surviving worse," said Russ.
Chiyo smacked Russ' shin with the ruthless fury of an angry grandmother and said, "That is NO excuse for allowing this match, which is supposed to be a friendly sparring match by the way, to continue and make her injuries worse!"
Russ yelped in pain and hopped back while saying, "By the throne, I've met battle-hardened warriors less ornery than you!"
"Well, someone has to be to keep idiots like you alive!" responded Chiyo before she added warningly, "Now, don't do anything stupid so that I can focus on making sure that Miruko's injuries are fully healed before the day is over." She then instructed some robots to take Rumi to the infirmary and followed suit.
Shouta, who had watched Russ' match with Rumi together with Ken, Chiyo, the residents of the Imperial Dorm and the first-year students of the hero-course, turned his attention towards the students and asked, "Now then, are there any questions that you wish to ask?"
The first-year students, especially the ones from Shouta's class, were so shocked by the fight that it took them a few seconds before one of them, a boy who looked like a four-limbed brown anthropomorphic Japanese rhinoceros beetle named Kabuto Gardia, asked, "W-where did those girls learn to fight like that?"
"Also, are they really junior high school students?" asked a girl who had brown hair and the muzzle of a dog named Inuzuka Ashiko.
Shouta, who understood why people would ask such questions, sighed and said, "As of right now, we have no concrete information about the girls' origins, including their combat training. However, we suspect that they were being trained for total warfare rather than typical vigilantism or villainy. As for their age, we have already confirmed that they are indeed fourteen years old through the use of medical quirks."
A girl with light-pink hair and round grey eyes named Fuwa Mawata raised an eyebrow and asked, "What about their quirk registry? Surely someone with quirks like theirs would have a record somewhere."
"We have already checked their quirk registry but none of the registered quirks in Japan matches with theirs," said Shouta who then added, "Yes, we are aware that they are likely foreigners but there has been no luck on that front either." He barely restrained himself from grimacing as he thought, "Not that it will do any good since they are from an alternate universe of all places."
"Do you all have any other questions?" asked Ken.
"Just one," said Gardia who then asked Shouta, "Will we be sparring with her?"
Surprised by the answer, Shouta blinked once before he answered, "No, at least not today." His eyes narrowed as he asked, "Why?"
"Well, my chances of winning aside, I want to spar with her and see how much I have to go as a pro-hero," said Gardia. The bitter memory of everyone in Class 1A getting "expelled" from the hero course on their very first day of school by their home-room teacher, Shouta, was still fresh in his mind. Although he was traumatised by the experience and honestly disliked Shouta for the faux-expulsion, he had learnt a valuable lesson from it and was determined to improve himself. True, Russ was essentially his junior but he was not blind to the fact that she had sparred with one of the top pro-heroes in all of Japan and, technicalities aside, actually won.
Realising that Gardia was serious, Shouta almost smirked as he replied, "I see. I will have to talk to Nedzu about this but I doubt he will disagree to it."
"You're correct to assume that, Aizawa-kun! I will prepare a schedule to include sparring matches with the girls and Midoriya-kun within this week."
A moment of silence passed before Shouta sighed and grumbled, "Of course Nedzu's aware of this."
Russ chortled and said, "Well, it looks like combat training is about to get a lot more interesting!"
-Somewhere in Musutafu City…-
Gentle Criminal, whose real name was Tobita Danjuurou, had just taken some black tea with his partner in crime, La Brava, whose real name was Aiba Manami. They were about to leave the small tea shop to begin their next act of crime when a voice spoke to them from behind, "Gentle Criminal and La Brava."
Alarmed, both villains turned around to face the speaker who was Magnus. The red-skinned former primarch raised her hands to show that she was unarmed as she spoke to them, "My name is Magnus, and I would like to have a word with you two."
Danjuurou frowned as he picked up Manami and spoke warily, "Is that so? As a gentleman, I should be obligated to listen to what a lady has to say. However, I'm not blind to the fact that you are one of the four girls whom the pro-heroes and police force are still looking for."
Magnus smiled bitterly as she spoke to them telepathically, "You're right to be suspicious of me. However, I have reason to believe that you will not reject my offer to you and your partner."
Although shocked by the telepathic voice in their heads, both Danjuurou and Manami quickly regained their composure before the former of the two asked, "What exactly do you want from us?"
"As you probably know, I am connected to the twelve girls who are currently staying at U.A. High School. However, what you may not realise is that there are at least twenty girls in total, myself included," explained Magnus who was still using her telepathy to conceal as much information from any potential eavesdroppers as possible.
Danjuurou raised an eyebrow and said, "While I find the information interesting, I still fail to see why you wish to speak to us."
Magnus explained telepathically, "Of the remaining eight girls who are not staying at U.A. High School, one of us is… a religious fanatic to put it mildly. In fact, she is behind the recent disappearances of students from Aldera Junior High School and is building a cult that worships… dangerous ideals."
"What kind of ideals are we talking about?" asked Manami whose curiosity overcame her nervousness.
Magnus frowned as she explained grimly through her telepathy, "I will not tell you everything, at least not yet, but I can say that there are four separate aspects of the ideals. The first aspect glorifies ambition and trickery to the point of treating everyone else as mere pawns of a greater scheme. The second aspect upholds hatred and murder to the point of not caring who dies as long as blood is shed. The third aspect embraces despair and decay to the point of spreading diseases as though they are gifts to the living. The fourth aspect seeks perfection and decadence to the point of excess and ruin. The girl whom I seek to find, Lorgar, embraces all four aspects as a divine undivided whole and wishes to form a cult that worships them. Trust me, you DO NOT want to know what their rituals involve."
Normally, someone who spoke of ruinous cults that worshipped genuinely dark ideals would be dismissed as nothing more than a 'chuunibyou' (a teenager with an edgy or pretentious behaviour). However, Magnus' seriousness made Danjuurou and Manami hesitant in dismissing her claims. After all, the four ideals were clearly based on the extremes of human nature. Even so, Danjuurou was hesitant to trust Magnus as he spoke to her, "You have yet to explain why it should concern us."
Magnus replied telepathically, "If Lorgar succeeds in forming a cult, she can cause chaos and ruin on a scale that would make even the 'Dawn of Quirks' look mild in comparison and no one, not even those whom you hold most dear, will be spared from it."
"That sounds like a problem for the pro-heroes and police force to deal with, not for villains like ourselves," argued Danjuurou even though he found the idea of causing chaos and ruin "ungentlemanly". His hold onto Manami tightened a bit as he thought, "Never mind the idea of La Brava being harmed by them." Manami in turn held leaned into Danjuurou's arms as she dreaded the idea of him being hurt or worse.
Magnus almost smiled as she knew that the two villains were almost convinced to join forces with her and the others. As such, she decided to take out her trump card by handing a hand-written note to the two villains while speaking verbally, "Perhaps, but I have not come here to speak to you two without any… incentives to offer in exchange."
Danjuurou cautiously took the note from Magnus' hand and read it with Manami. Their eyes widened as they read its contents before the man asked Magnus with a trembling voice, "Is… the reward real?"
Magnus nodded and said telepathically, "Eraser Head himself came to see me and the others the other day. At the very least, we have no reason to believe that the pro-hero under Nedzu's employ has lied to us."
Nearly-forgotten dreams of becoming a famed pro-hero started to spark with renewed life as Danjuurou read the note again before he said, "This reward… is simply too good to be true even for a gentleman and a lovely partner in crime like us."
"Normally, it would be," agreed Magnus who spoke verbally. She then telepathically added, "However, I know from personal experience that the cult is dangerous enough to warrant such rewards, at minimum."
Danjuurou and Manami were silent for a moment before the man said, "Love Lover, let us cancel our upcoming act of villainy. This… offer that she has given to us is simply too tempting to dismiss carelessly in spite of the possible risks, including trickery, involved."
"If you decide to join us, all you have to do is visit us at this location," said Magnus who then telepathically provided the address to Jin's apartment. Both Danjuurou and Manami nodded at Magnus before they parted ways from the former primarch.
After the two had left, Magnus turned around to leave as well. As she walked back to Jin's apartment, Fulgrim appeared out of the shadows and asked her, "Was it wise to give them hope that they could become pro-heroes if they join us?"
"All I have given them was the knowledge that U.A. High School will offer us help after we succeed in taking 'it' down. Being given a chance to become a pro-hero is merely a possible outcome and has been clearly worded as such," answered Magnus who then added, "Besides, compared to what Alpharius and Omegon will be doing once we gather everyone, their own duties will be considerably safer in comparison."
Fulgrim peered at Magnus for a moment before she said, "As long as they know that it is merely a possible reward for taking on this task."
As the two former traitor primarchs made their way back, Magnus thought, "I wonder how the others are doing."
-Meanwhile, at a place known as Takoba Municipal Beach Park…-
Mortarion frowned as she spoke to Perturabo, "This place… is too nurglesque for my liking."
Given the huge piles of garbage that covered the entire peach park, Perturabo was inclined to agree with Mortarion. Nevertheless, she said, "Magnus has already made it clear that our daily funds are limited so we will have to improvise to obtain additional materials for the tools that I plan to build."
"Which, of course, means scrounging through piles of trash," said Mortarion.
"Do you have a better plan that does not involve robbing a store or using up our daily funds for the next few days?" asked Perturabo.
"Unfortunately, no," admitted Mortarion who then rolled up her sleeves and bitterly said, "Let's just get this over with."
Before long, the two former primarchs started to clear up the trash to not only obtain materials for whatever Perturabo was planning to build but also earn some additional money by selling various recyclables. They would later be known as the "grumpy duo" who cleared up the entire beach park within just a few months.
-In an alley near Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall…-
Kenji (a.k.a. Magne), was enjoying a cool drink while staying out of sight by hiding in an alley. As an infamous villain who had murdered three people, never mind the nearly thirty incidents of armed robberies and attempted murders, she knew that being seen by civilians and law enforcement alike would inevitably lead to trouble. Even so, she stayed nearby the shopping mall so that she would be ready to help if her friend, Rondo, ever needed it.
Although Kenji was happy that Rondo was doing well in her clothes-selling business lately, she could not help but feel a bit bitter about her own situation. While the three people whom Kenji had murdered were "a-holes" that tormented Rondo cruelly, it did not change the fact that she had murdered them and, the last time she checked, hiring murderers was bad for legitimate business. That was not even counting the attempted murders which mainly involved two kinds of victims: those who honestly deserved getting their skulls bashed in for mocking her or Rondo and pro-heroes who got in her way. As for the armed robberies, well, she needed money to buy basic necessities and illegal suppliers always charged extra for staying silent about the transactions.
Kenji was about to finish her drink when a pair of feminine voices said, "Greetings, Hikiishi Kenji."
Kenji spat out her drink in a comical manner before she turned around to face a pair of twins who looked at her with eerily blank expressions. Immediately on her guard, Kenji asked, "And who might you two ladies be?"
"We are Alpharius and Omegon," said the two twins in unison.
"We have come here before you because you know someone who is on friendly terms with the twelve girls that live at U.A. High School, Muratome Rondo," said Alpharius.
Kenji felt a chill of dread run down her spine as she realised that the twins clearly knew about her friendship with Rondo. The only reason why she did not immediately try to kill the twins was because they would have attacked her already if they had intended to harm her from the beginning. As such, she warily said, "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't kill you both."
"We are not your enemy nor do we wish to bring harm to your friend," said Omegon.
"In fact, it can be argued that we are presently allies of the twelve girls and, by extension, you and your friend as well," said Alpharius.
"If you two are really their allies, then why aren't you going to U.A. High School to stay with them?" asked Kenji.
"Have you heard about the students of Aldera Junior High School going missing lately?" asked Omegon.
"Of course I have," said Kenji who then asked, "What does it have to do with you two and the twelve girls?"
"A terrible enemy of theirs has been on the move recently and is seeking people to join her cult," said Alpharius.
Kenji raised an eyebrow and asked, "You're saying that those missing students have been taken by her to join her cult?"
"To put it bluntly, yes," confirmed Omegon.
"Why should I be even concerned about that enemy of theirs and her cult?" asked Kenji.
"It is a cult that promises many things to its followers but brings damnation to all who join its ranks," said Alpharius.
"Like what?" asked Kenji.
"Knowledge for achieving one's ambitions, only to be betrayed by the scheming trickery of another," said Omegon.
"Strength for murdering the hated, only to be driven mad by a blood lust that can never be quenched," said Alpharius.
"Perseverance for enduring cruel fates, only to be rendered blind to a rot that spreads like a plague," said Omegon.
"Pride for achieving decadent perfection , only to be left yearning for more no matter the sin committed," said Alpharius.
"To follow the extremes espoused by these four ideals of the cult is to embrace corruption and madness which in turn bring eternal damnation of the very soul," said both twins.
Kenji was silent for a moment before she asked, "You're… not being a pair of overly-dedicated chuunibyou, are you?"
Both twins wore deadpan expressions as they replied in unison, "No, we're not."
"All right… say that I decide to believe you two. What exactly to you even want me to do?" asked Kenji.
"We need you to be our eyes and ears for any incidents of people being recruited for large criminal organisations or cults," said Alpharius.
"We may also ask you to cooperate with people who are affiliated with us," said Omegon.
"You won't drag my friend into this mess?" asked Kenji.
"That is never our intention," said Alpharius.
"However, Rondo is an acquaintance of the twelve girls which already makes her a possible target for their enemy," said Omegon.
"Then what will prevent me from simply taking her to some place else and lay low until this whole mess blows over?" asked Kenji.
"You can try, but doing so may ruin her chance of having a stable future through running a legitimate business," argued Alpharius.
Kenji, who refused to ruin Rondo's future in spite of her desire to be free and live her life the way she wanted, bit back a curse before she asked, "Why should I even trust you? You two might be the very enemies that you claim to fight against for all I know."
"You raise a fair point," said Omegon.
"That being said, we are not demanding you to attack anyone nor are we demanding you to undertake any dangerous tasks, such as infiltrating a cult, on our behalf," said Alpharius.
Omegon took out some money and offered it to Kenji while saying, "As long as you keep an eye out for anything suspicious on our behalf and avoid joining any groups that are not affiliated with us, we are willing to let you continue living as you always have, with some added benefits of course."
Kenji looked at the money in Omegon's hands warily and said, "Not that I'm against getting extra cash while doing pretty much what I've always done, but you seem awfully certain that I won't consider joining a separate villainous group or even a cult for better offers."
"We're not," replied Alpharius.
"We're simply willing to kill you without remorse if you end up becoming our enemy," said Omegon.
The twins' chillingly nonchalant response made Kenji realise that, they were truly confident that they could kill her. A part of her was tempted to attack the twins so that she would not be tied down by any obligations to them. However, between their willingness let her remain largely independent and their apparent connection with the twelve girls whom Rondo had developed a friendship with, Kenji made her decision and accepted the money from Omegon's hands while saying, "All right, I will help you two and accept your cash. However, I have one condition."
Alpharius tilted her head and asked, "What would that be?"
"I want your assurance that Rondo will be protected from whatever enemies you plan to deal with," answered Kenji who then added, "Considering that she's already a possible target, keeping her safe isn't too much to ask for, no?"
Both twins frowned for a moment before they glanced at each other and nodded. Omegon then said, "We can arrange for someone to keep an eye on her and ensure her safety."
Alpharius said warningly, "While we have already promised to let you continue with your current lifestyle, we expect you to do your part for us in return."
Kenji waved her hand dismissively and said, "Yeah, yeah, I get the drill. Keep an eye out for anything suspicious or weird especially if it is related to a cult." She then asked, "Is there anyone I need to look out for in particular?"
Omegon nodded and said, "The name of their enemy is Lorgar."
"With her white hair, yellow eyes and tall build, you won't miss her when you see her," said Alpharius, who might actually have been Omegon the whole time.
"We will be in touch," said both twins before they left and swiftly disappeared into the shadows.
After the twins had left with unnerving stealth, Kenji sighed and said, "I need a freaking drink." She then looked at the money in her hand and thought, "Well, they never said that I can't immediately use the money for my own uses."
She promptly went to buy a few cans of beer which she planned to drink with Rondo later that night.
-In a seemingly abandoned building in Kamino…-
Katsuki, with seven of his former classmates whose names he did not care to remember, stood before Lorgar who smiled at them in a seemingly kind manner and said, "While it is a shame that gathering the rest of your former classmates has become… complicated lately, I think a gathering of eight is fitting considering your solidarity in your shared hatred towards Midoriya Izuku and the girls who now live at U.A. High School with him."
Katsuki scoffed as he was certain that he was not only stronger than the seven other students but also hated Izuku and the girls far more intensely. Even so, he begrudgingly accepted the fact that even near-useless help was better than no help at all after getting soundly defeated by Lorgar, who was wielding an actual squeaky toy mallet at the time, in a sparring match. Tomura would have laughed mockingly at Katsuki's humiliating defeat had he not been defeated in a similar manner during his own first sparring match with her. Even so, the hand-covered villain still found sadistic delight in seeing the prideful former hero-wannabe get soundly defeated with his face "firmly planted" onto the ground.
The seven students who decided to join Lorgar's cult and shared an intense hatred towards both Izuku and the former primarchs currently living at U.A. High School with him included:
Unimi Paiku, a boy whose quirk, 'Spike Fist' allowed him to produce long and sharp spikes from his fist.
Kesseki Ude, a boy whose quirk, 'Stone Cover' allowed him to cover his skin with a layer of hard stone-like growths. He also had similar stone-like growths in place of hair.
Furekku Suji, a boy whose quirk, 'Muscle Flex', allowed him to transform from a lean body type into a muscular body type for enhanced strength and durability. He had tan skin and brown hair that was combed upwards.
Shaapuno Hakiba, a boy whose quirk, 'Sharp Teeth' allowed him to transform his teeth into sharp shark-like fangs with a bite force to match. He had black hair and lacked eyebrows.
Sukuinote Kakeru a boy whose quirk, 'Double Hands', allowed him to produce an additional forearm from each elbow. He also claimed to be ambidextrous.
Kyoufuu Kazeko whose quirk, 'Gale Force', allowed her to produce spiralling gales of wind from her arms. She had spiky brown hair.
Kagayaku Tamako whose quirk, 'Energy Ball', allowed her to produce balls of blue energy that could be be thrown like baseballs or dodge-balls and explode on impact. The explosions could not cause burns but they could cause concussive force and release a blinding flash of light. Her hair was tied into a pair of pigtails.
The fact that all seven students had not only the same hopes of becoming pro-heroes like Katsuki but also had quirks that granted them at least a half-decent chance of actually succeeding were not lost to Lorgar. True, special abilities were not the only things that mattered in becoming a powerful warrior but they had lived their whole lives believing that their quirks would allow them to easily become pro-heroes. Therefore, the idea of "quirkless Deku" actually having a good chance of becoming a pro-hero while they themselves would be forced to struggle to succeed, it they were even allowed to try at all, made them bitter and resentful. As for why they hated the former primarchs as well, one reason was that Izuku's involvement with them was how Aldera Junior High School got investigated in the first place. The other reason could be summed up as bitter resentment for having their futures essentially stolen by the girls who seemed to have appeared out of nowhere.
Ironically, Katsuki's two former lackeys were deemed as unfit as potential khornate cultists as they felt genuine regret over how they had treated Izuku in the past. In theory, Lorgar could have tried turning them into nurglesque cultists but she needed to make sure that the first group of cultists would be successful in reaching out to Khorne before creating cults that worshipped the other three Dark Gods.
Ude, who became bitter and short-tempered after having his future ruined, growled at Lorgar, "Why the hell is having eight of us considered a good thing?"
"That's a good question, young man!" replied Lorgar who then explained, "You see, the number eight is a sacred number to one of the four main aspects of the Primordial Truth that I follow, the aspect of hatred and murder." Ude could not help but feel miffed by the fact that Lorgar had treated him as though he was much younger than her in spite of her own youthful appearance.
Hakiba raised an eyebrow and asked, "So you're saying that having the eight of us here is good because eight is a… 'murder number'?"
Lorgar nodded and said, "That's one way to put it."
"Shouldn't we try getting more people to join us? Maybe a multiple of eight if you really want to stick with that number?" asked Tamako who the growled, "I'm sure we're not the only ones who want to kill that worthless Deku and those bitches of his!"
Lorgar smiled patiently at Tamako and said, "All in good time, my eager comrades, all in good time." She then turned her attention towards an entrance that led to an underground level and said, "Before we make any future attempts of gathering more allies, we should first make it clear to all that the Primordial Truth which I espouse to you all is SO much more than just the hollow ramblings of the mad and the broken."
"So, we're fucking finally going to start getting shit done," said Katsuki who was Lorgar's very first true cultist.
"Indeed, my dear boy, indeed," said Lorgar while walking towards the entrance with the eight former students following her lead.
As the nine people made their way to the underground level, Paiku asked, "I know that you've told us about the four aspects of the Primordial Truth already, but how is worshipping even one of them supposed to make us stronger?"
"Each of the four aspects offers a different kind of strength. The aspect that you seek to follow, hatred and murder, is arguably the most straightforward as it offers great strength in combat. All you have to do is let go of anything that inhibits your desire to kill others, especially those whom you despise," said Lorgar.
"We already want to kill Deku and those bitches. What more do we need?" demanded Suji.
"Ah, but you think too small for one so full of hate!" said Lorgar who then added, "Why limit yourself to just Izuku and the girls with him, when there are so many more to hate, to murder?"
"Like the fuckers that decided that Deku was more important than any of us?" growled Kakeru.
"Yes, the pro-heroes and policemen who decided to help him at your expense would make fine additions to the list of people to murder in the name of your hateful crusade!" agreed Lorgar.
"We should kill Deku's bitch of a mother, and that horned brat that lives with him too!" yelled Ude who longed to watch Izuku despair while his loved ones died around him.
Suddenly, Katsuki grabbed Ude by the throat and growled so viciously that Lorgar could not help but smile with genuine pride, "You can have the skulls of anyone else you hate, but Deku and his mother are MINE!"
Ude was so terrified by Katsuki's unalloyed rage that he could feel his legs shaking in fear. The other seven former classmates were equally terrified as none of them dared to say a word.
Unaffected by Katsuki's rage, Lorgar said, "While I enjoy observing the your team building efforts, we should continue onwards if we are to begin the first steps of your well-deserved revenge."
Nothing else was said until the group reached the underground level and entered a large room which had a sturdy brass-plated iron door. As they entered the room they noticed that the walls were stained with blood which had been used to paint exactly eight sigils that resembled the number eight or stylized human skulls. The room also contained eight people who were tied onto chairs with gags in their mouths. Although their voices were muffled, it was clear that they were crying or begging for help. None of the eight students knew who these people were and it was clear that Lorgar had simply collected people who were strangers to them at random. In fact, one of the tied up people was a girl who was barely any older than them.
Once the group had entered the room, Lorgar locked the door and said, "I will now reveal to you all the true path of hatred and murder." The eight former students were silent as Lorgar explained, "To gain strength that you so desire, you must first be willing to kill these people without hesitation."
Kazeko frowned and asked, "Aren't you going to tell us who these people are?"
"No, for the aspect of hatred and murder does not care where blood comes from as long as it flows," said Lorgar.
Katsuki rolled his eyes at and said, "In other words, we shouldn't give a flying fuck about whom we kill as long as we kill someone."
"Precisely," said Lorgar who then said, "Now then, use your quirks and kill them without remorse!"
While the other seven students hesitated at the idea of killing people who had never done them wrong before, Katsuki charged forward and yelled, "Die!" He then placed his hand onto one of the tied up victims and released a deafening explosion that split the victim's ribcage apart and caused the victim's heart to pop like a balloon. Spilled blood, burnt flesh and fragmented bones scattered all around Katsuki and his kill, staining everything that it touched red with specks of black and white.
A moment of silence passed before the remaining seven victims tried to scream or wail in spite of having their mouths gagged. The other former students stared at Katsuki with a mixture of shock and horror as he wore a wide vicious grin and said, "Fuck, I needed that!" He then turned his attention towards Lorgar and yelled, "Hey, if those useless fuckers are too spineless to kill these worthless extras, I'll fucking kill the rest of them myself!"
"Why, of course you can go ahead and kill them all!" said Lorgar who had a bright smile on her face before she turned her attention towards the other seven students and added, "Provided that the convictions of your former classmates towards hatred and murder is truly so lacking that even killing a 'worthless Deku' and the people whom he cares about is beyond them."
Whatever hesitation the other seven students had was immediately burnt away by the maddening hatred that they had towards Izuku and everyone else whom he held dear. Paiku yelled in rage as he charged forward and proceeded to punch the second victim with his spiked fists in blind fury until the victim's head and torso were barely held together by thin strips of bloody flesh. Ude covered his hands with stony growths and proceeded to crush the third victim's head with a demented grin while imagining that he was killing Izuku. Suji became muscular and used his enhanced strength to tear the fourth victim limb from limb while yelling profanities. Hakiba roared as his teeth became shark-like and then proceeded to bite the fifth victim to rip off bloody chunks of torn flesh and broken bone. Kakeru grew an extra forearm from each elbow and punched the sixth victim in the face until the victim's face was reduced to a bloody mess of meat and bones. Kazeko screamed in rage as she charged forward and unleashed such a powerful gale of wind onto the seventh victim's face that skin and flesh were torn off the victim's skull. Tamako created the largest ball of energy she could and yelled, "Clear the area, you fuckers!"
Seeing the ball of energy, all of the young killers except Katsuki backed away from their respective mutilated victims before Tamako threw it at the eighth victim. As the ball of energy hit the victim on the head, it exploded so brightly that nearly everyone in the room was blinded by it. It also unleashed enough concussive force to partially flatten the eighth victim's entire upper torso. While everyone else struggled to stay upright due to the concussive force of Tamako's exploding ball of energy, Lorgar continued to stand tall with a delighted smile on her face as she knew what was to come.
With all eight victims, who were in fact ritual sacrifices prepared by Lorgar herself, killed by the eight wrathful youths, the eight sigils on the walls started to glow red. Even Katsuki felt a sliver of fear as something unseen yet clearly unnatural somehow made its oppressively murderous presence known to everyone in the room. Then, a dark echoing voice that seemed to come from a giant made of bloody brass spoke, "You… are… worthy…!"
Suddenly, seven of the eight sigils flew out of the walls and landed onto the hands of the seven young murderers. Only Hakiba received one of the eight sigils on his right cheek instead, which was fitting given the way he had murdered his victim. The eight former students screamed as the sigils burned into their very soul, forever marking them as followers of the Dark God whom they would know as Khorne.
As the eight former students writhed and cried out in pain, Lorgar smiled and stretched out her arms as though she was trying to embrace the very heavens as she spoke in reverent praise, "Blood for the Blood God, Skulls for the Skull Throne!"
"Glory, to Chaos Undivided!"
-Meanwhile, at a separate location in Kamino…-
"This… is disturbing," said a short portly old man with a bald head and a large bushy moustache. Officially, he was currently known as Ujiko Daruma, a well known doctor who was also the chairman of Jaku General Hospital. However, his real name was actually Garaki Kyuudai and he was one of the loyal minions of All Might's nemesis, All For One.
"Indeed," agreed All For One who, in spite of having scar tissue covering the top half of his head to the point that he lacked visible eyes, nose, hair and ears, was still a tall and imposing villain.
"So, now that we know for sure that her gods can actually reach this world, what do you plan to do?" asked Kyuudai who was honestly disturbed by the fact that Lorgar's sorcery had actually worked. As a man of science, he scoffed at the idea of genuine sorcery even though he was admittedly fascinated by the idea of quirks being linked to the local version of the immaterium. However, after witnessing Lorgar's sorcery for himself, he was no longer so certain that the Lorgar's claims of gods was merely hogwash.
Although All For One lacked eyebrows, it was clear that he was frowning as he thought about the pros and cons of letting Lorgar continue with her cult. On one hand, gaining the favour of the Dark Gods would potentially grant him incredible power. On the other hand, he loathed the idea of actually serving them and knew that their "gifts" would come at a price. Ultimately, his ego and desire for control overrode his desire for power as he asked Kyuudai, "Doctor, how soon can our 'enhanced noumu' be ready for… 'field testing'?"
"I can get them ready in a few days, Master," said Kyuudai.
"Get them ready by tomorrow," said All For One who then added, "I intend to ensure that no one, not even the gods of a separate universe, can stop me from achieving my ambitions!"
Little did they realise that Lorgar had more allies than they expected.
-In the primarchs' original universe…-
To those who worship Chaos, it was an accepted truth that the Dark Gods demanded sacrifices especially when someone wishes to obtain a boon from them. The greater the boon, the greater the sacrifices needed.
There was also no denying the fact that influencing the souls of humans who lived in the alternate version of Holy Terra took about as much effort as influencing the souls of local humans who were genuinely devout followers of the God Emperor of Mankind. It would therefore be surprising to some that Khorn was willing to grant useful boons to the eight youths even though they had not killed at least eighty-eight people in his name.
To put Khorne's reasoning in simple terms, he simply wanted to be the first god to gain access to the souls that lived in the other universe. Besides, both Khorne and Lorgar agreed that Katsuki was already a worthy khornate worshipper so it was simply a matter of finding out if any of Katsuki's former classmates were worthy as well. The god of hatred and murder was pleased that seven of Katsuki's classmates were worthy as well and thus granted all eight of them gifts that would make their quirks more effective at killing.
Although both Nurgle and Slaanesh were displeased by the fact that Khorne was the first Dark God to successfully influence the humans that lived on the other version of Holy Terra, they knew that their turns would come before long. At the very least, their turns would likely happen earlier than Tzeentch's turn.
Tzeentch was… honestly upset that he was having the most trouble in getting new followers. While he was willing to accept and even reward those who showed ambition, initiative and cunning such as Katsuki, what he truly desired were those who were skilled wielders of sorcery and manipulators of people. One might argue that quirks could be seen as a form of warp sorcery but it was clear that the other version of Holy Terra did not take the idea of genuine sorcery very seriously. As for skilled manipulators, Lorgar's current selection of potential cultists seemed to lack them. Granted, Lorgar was gathering young individuals to build up her cult of Chaos Undivided but they were clearly more interested in revenge instead of something grander such as world domination. They were not even interested in learning forbidden knowledge that originated from a whole other universe.
That was not to say that, Tzeentch had not found anyone who seemed promising as a worshipper. After all, the villain named All For One was clearly interested in knowledge that he could then use to manipulate or dominate others to attain world domination. However, both Lorgar and Tzeentch could sense that the villain viewed the idea of worshipping any god as putting himself at risk of being manipulated by the said deity.
To be fair, All For One was not wrong about Tzeenth manipulating his own faithful followers but the villain's apparent refusal to even consider worshipping him, the Architect of Fate, was nothing short of galling.
Even so, Tzeentch was not without patience and he knew that the other three gods might get complacent after they had successfully started the corruption of the other universe. Sooner or later, an opportunity would reveal itself in either universe and Tzeentch would be waiting to claim it as his own.
The Great Rift might have shrunk after the events of the Great Rift Crusade, but the Great Game was far from over.
-End Chapter-
Author's Notes:
In the canon story of 'Boku no Hero Academia', there is little information about the students of Class 2A (they are still in Class 1A as of this chapter). As such, I have decided to provide some home-brewed details about the more notable students:
Fuwa Mawata - In canon, she is the only named student and her quirk is unknown. However, by using her name as a reference, I assume that her quirk allows her to grow thick fluffy balls of cotton from her skin. The balls of cotton must be in physical contact with her skin, if not a specially-designed suit that is made with her DNA (yes, her own cotton counts but only if it is skin tight), to grow larger. The balls of cotton will stop growing once skin contact is broken. She can use the balls of cotton to soften physical impacts, soak up dangerous substances and even trap unlucky villains. However, overuse of the quirk will result in her suffering from hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar). On a side note, just like canon, she likes fluffy sponge cake.
Kabutomaru Gardia - In canon, he has no name but his obvious physical mutations make it easy to assume that his quirk grants him the hardened shell, increased strength and limited flight of a Japanese rhinoceros beetle. Similarly, his name is based on the 'kabuto' (which means 'beetle' in Japanese) and 'guardian'. He likes fruits and has talent in both sumo and judo.
Inuzuka Ashiko - In canon, she has no name but her obvious physical mutations makes it easy to assume that she has, at the very least, the keen sense of smell, biting strength and physical endurance of a canine. Similarly, her name is based on 'inu' (which means 'dog' in Japanese) and 'ashi' (which means 'paw' in Japanese). She likes crunchy cookies and is athletic.
Besides the students of Class 2A, there are also Izuku's former classmates from Aldera Junior High. The home-brewed details of the students with notable quirks (as seen in Chapter 1 of the canon manga and Episode 1 of the canon anime) include:
Kakuchou Yubi - He is one of Katsuki's lackeys and his quirk, 'Digit Extension' allows him to extend his fingers. His name is based on 'kakuchou suru' ('extend' in Japanese) and 'yubi' ('fingers' in Japanese). He is also one of Katsuki's "childhood friends". Much like Katsuki, he has bullied Izuku both physically and emotionally but, due to the regret that he feels after facing the consequences of his past actions, Lorgar deems him as unfit as a potential khornate cultist.
Rokuro Kubi - He is one of Katsuki's lackeys and his quirk, 'Neck Extension, allows him to extend his neck. His name is based on the Japanese youkai, 'rokurokubi', and the fact that 'kubi' is the Japanese word for 'neck'. It's never made clear that the one with the extendible neck is really Katsuki's lackey in canon but he's the best match I can find based on online sources including still frames of the anime. Also, he is probably one of Katsuki's "childhood friends". Much like Katsuki, he has bullied Izuku both physically and emotionally but, due to the regret that he feels after facing the consequences of his past actions, Lorgar deems him as unfit as a potential khornate cultist.
Unimi Paiku - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Spike Fist' allows him to produce long and sharp spikes from his fists. His name is based on 'uni' ('sea-urchin' in Japanese) and 'Supaiku ('spike' in Japanese). He becomes as khornate cultist due to the hatred that he feels towards Izuku and the former primarchs for ruining his supposedly bright future as a pro-hero.
Kesseki Ude - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Stone Cover' allows him to cover his skin with a layer of hard stone-like growths. His name is based on 'kesseki' ('stone' in Japanese) and 'ude' ('arm' in Japanese). He is noted to have similar stone-like growths in place of hair. He becomes as khornate cultist due to the hatred that he feels towards Izuku and the former primarchs for ruining his supposedly bright future as a pro-hero.
Furekku Suji - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Muscle Flex', allows him to transform from a lean body type into a muscular body type for enhanced strength and durability. His name is based on 'Furekkusu' ('flex' in Japanese) and 'suji' ('muscle' in Japanese). He has tan skin and brown hair that is combed upwards. He becomes as khornate cultist due to the hatred that he feels towards Izuku and the former primarchs for ruining his supposedly bright future as a pro-hero.
Shaapuno Hakiba - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Sharp Teeth' allows him to transform his teeth into sharp shark-like fangs with a bite force to match. His name is based on 'shaapu' ('sharp' in Japanese), 'ha' ('teeth' in Japanese) and 'kiba' ('fangs' in Japanese). He has black hair and lacks eyebrows. He becomes as khornate cultist due to the hatred that he feels towards Izuku and the former primarchs for ruining his supposedly bright future as a pro-hero.
Sukuinote Kakeru - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Double Hands', allows him to produce an additional forearm from each elbow. He is also ambidextrous. His name is based on 'sukuinote' ('helping hand' in Japanese) and 'kakeru' ('multiply' in Japanese.). becomes a khornate cultist. He becomes as khornate cultist due to the hatred that he feels towards Izuku and the former primarchs for ruining his supposedly bright future as a pro-hero.
Kyoufuu Kazeko - She is one of Izuku's former classmates and her quirk, 'Gale Force', allows her to produce spiralling gales of wind from her arms. Her name is based on 'kyoufuu' ('gale' in Japanese) and 'kaze' ('wind' in Japanese). She has spiky brown hair. She becomes as khornate cultist due to the hatred that she feels towards Izuku and the former primarchs for ruining her supposedly bright future as a pro-heroine.
Kagayaku Tamako - She is one of Izuku's former classmates and her quirk, 'Energy Ball', allows her to produce balls of blue energy. The balls of energy can be thrown like baseballs or dodge-balls and explode on impact. The explosions do not burn but they can cause concussive force and release a blinding flash of light. Her name is based on 'kagayaku' ('shine' in Japanese) and 'tama' ('ball' in Japanese). Her hair is tied into a pair of pigtails. She becomes as khornate cultist due to the hatred that she feels towards Izuku and the former primarchs for ruining her supposedly bright future as a pro-heroine.
Ushimaru Tsunoko - She is one of Izuku's former classmates and her quirk, 'Bovine Boost', enhances her physical strength and durability as well as provide her the horns and tail of a cow when she transforms. Her name is based on 'ushi' ('cow' in Japanese) and 'tsuno' ('horns' in Japanese).
Shutsugen Fuyou - She is one of Izuku's former classmates and her quirk, 'Levitation' allows her to make objects levitate. She wears spectacles and her hair is tied into a pair of pigtails. Her name is based on 'shutsugen' ('emergence' in Japanese) and 'fuyou' ('levitation' in Japanese). For those who think that she resembles a certain tragic character from a h-manga that I will not name, it has not escaped my notice and I have no intention of making her a slaaneshi cultist.
Senkouku Raito - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Flash Burst', allows him to release a blinding glow from his skin. His name is based on 'senkou' ('flash' in Japanese) and 'raito' ('light' in Japanese). becomes a khornate cultist. He becomes a khornate cultist.
Tsukaeru Penchirou - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk,'Pliers Face', allows him to transform his face into a massive pair of pliers with eyes. The transformed face is durable like an actual pair of pliers. His name is based on 'tsukaeru' ('useful' in Japanese) and 'penchi' ('pliers' in Japanese). His normal face is notably handsome and his good looks makes him popular with the ladies.
Kansatsu Miru - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Pop-Eyes', allows him to literally pluck his eyeballs out of their sockets. The eyeballs are connected to his body through extendible optic nerves. His name is based on 'kansatsu suru'('observe' in Japanese) and 'miru' ('look' in Japanese). He is bald and has straight teeth.
Baruuno Uneru - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Inflatable Face', allows him to inflate his face to many times its normal size. His name is based on 'baruun' ('balloon' in Japanese) and 'uneru' ('swell' in Japanese).
Hanato Kaguma - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Keen Nose', allows him to obtain a keen sense of smell by transforming his nose into a longer, goblinoid shape. His name is based on hana ('nose' in Japanese) and 'kagu' ('sniff' in Japanese).
Mimito Kikuman - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Big Ears' allows him to obtain an enhanced sense of hearing by making his ears larger. His name is based on 'mimi' ('ears' in Japanese) and 'kiku' ('hear' in Japanese).
Sanpatsu Kenshin - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Blade Hair', allows him to extend his orange hair to become as hard and sharp as blades. His name is based on 'sanpatsu' ('haircut' in Japanese) and 'kenshi' ('swordsman' in Japanese). He has a cousin who also has a hair-based quirk named Kamigata Oruko.
Kamigata Oruko - She is one of Izuku's former classmates and her quirk, 'Hair Manipulation", allows her to manipulate her hair. While she has good control over her greenish-blue hair, it is no more durable than normal hair and she cannot extend it. Her name is based on 'kamigata' ('hairdo' in Japanese) and 'oru' ('weave' in Japanese). She has a cousin who also has a hair-based quirk named Sanpatsu Kenshin.
Taihoute Aka - She is one of Izuku's former classmates and her quirk, 'Flame Hands', allows her to transform her hands into flames and shoot the flames like a living flame thrower. Her name is based on 'taihou' ('cannon' in Japanese), 'te' ('hand' in Japanese) and 'aka' ('red' in Japanese). She has orange hair and a twin brother named Taihoute Moya.
Taihoute Moya - He is one of Izuku's former classmates and his quirk, 'Vapour Hands', allows him to transform his hands into water vapour and shoot the water vapour like an extremely powerful humidifier to create mists. His name is based on 'taihou' ('cannon' in Japanese), 'te' ('hand' in Japanese) and 'moya' ('mist' in Japanese). He has black hair and a twin sister named Taihoute Aka.
In the canon story of 'Boku no Hero Academia', there are supposed to be thirty students in total from Izuku's class at Aldera Junior High, including both Katsuki and Izuku. However, I'm not going to get worked up on getting ALL twenty-eight students involved in the story as I'm not even sure if I can fit the entire list of Izuku's former classmates that I have already prepared. Also, please note that while everyone in the class believed that Izuku would never become a pro-hero due to being quirkless, I doubt that all of them hated him for even wanting to try let alone to the same degree as Katsuki in canon. Still, given the consequences of the investigation at Aldera Junior High in this story, I can imagine at least some of them resenting Izuku or even the former primarchs that genuinely care for him. Combined with Lorgar's supposedly great charisma, it would not be impossible for seven of the classmates to feel their bitter resentment grow into burning khornate hatred.
Yes, I have deliberately made it such that eight students, including Katsuki, become worshippers of Khorne. However, Katsuki is a special case as he will also receive the blessings of Slaanesh, Nurgle and Tzeentch.
As for the remaining former classmates from Aldera Junior High, time will tell if I will include them at a later point in the story.
Until next time, go beyond, plus ultra!
