Ch3

Venom looked over the city his dark body blending in with the night. "What a city," he said as he grinned at the city beneath him.

Frankly he was enjoying his time here so far. Adrien seemed alright, a little shy and sheltered still he was a good kid. He was also rich which was always a plus. The only down side was that he was getting a little hungry and Adrien seemed really unwilling to let him eat some brains.

He took in the city as he jumped from building to building, his senses taking in the city. There were a lot of people, he could feel them going about their business completely unaware of what is beyond their planet.

"Adrien this Hawkmoth and these akumas that you fight are fun so far. But you should that any other symbiotes that we encounter may not be friendly.

Adrien's head popped out of the symbiote. "What are they like?"

"Cruel and vicious," He hissed. "They won't hesitate to destroy this world."

His host looked at him with his kind green eyes. "Why aren't you like that?"

He paused and looked up at the sky. "I wasn't really that cool in my world…Besides I care too much about having fun. My world was too stuffy for me."

Adrien gave him a small smile. "I get that. I don't like being restrained either."

"Yeah it sucks," he muttered. Yet he was away from all that now, he could have some fun and kick ass.

After touring the city he decided to retire and give back control to Adrien. Over the next few days he familiarized himself with Adrien's life. Despite having everything the boy lived in a cage designed by his father. Still despite everything something was off. Something was off with his unseen father and this mansion he could feel it. His instincts were telling him to be cautious every time he exited Adrien's room and he couldn't place where that unease came from. Yet other than that he was going to have some fun here and help Adrien get out of his shell.

Adrien yawned as he got up and got ready for the day. Black tendrils came out from his body and quickly arranged his bed and got his school bag ready as he got dressed.

"You guys sleep well?" He asked as he looked over his schedule.

Venom's head popped out from his body. "I slept very well, are we going hunting tonight?"

"It's called patrol," Plagg said.

Venom frowned. "I'm hungry when we get a chance I need some brains."

He smiled on the inside the way Plagg and Venom argued always amused him. "I'll uh see what I can do, isn't chocolate good enough?"

"It is but I can't only eat junk food," Venom said.

So far the symbiote was pretty cool and he had to admit he was starting to warm up to him. The only problem was his need for humans, a craving that was definitely not a joke.

But still his powers are cool, finally I have an upgrade. He didn't like admitting it but he was starting to feel pushed aside by Ladybug and with her improving her abilities he felt like he was starting to fall behind. Hopefully she gets to used to me and Venom together I don't want anything to complicate our teamwork.

After getting ready for the day and going over his schedule with Nathalie he was driven to school. Looking down at the palm of his hand he willed some symbiote to appear. "Venom you seem strong what is your limit?"

"I need to eat and I hate high frequencies and fires," Venom said in his head.

"Good to know." He folded his arms, the symbiote was so far satisfied with chocolate but human brains would be difficult even for him to acquire naturally or legally.

"You're a crime fighter. Maybe there are some people who would be better off not living," Venom said in a tone that sent a shiver down his spine.

He frowned. "We aren't murdering people."

"We won't just think of it as cleaning up the streets," Venom said. "Can you at least order some brains? You rich people have everything."

He sighed. "That'll raise questions I can't easily answer." He got out of the car as soon as he pulled up at the school. "Yo Adrien!" Nino came up to him and the two high fived each other.

"Hey Nino ready for class?"

"Yeah man. Hey later Luka invited us all to his boat to just chill, want to come?" Nino asked as they headed to their class.

"Sure I'll try to squeeze it in," he said.

"Sweet. Have you been working out?" Nino asked.

"Oh yeah just a little," He said with an awkward smile.

Nino whistled. "Well whatever your doing looks good on you."

He chatted with Nino and all was going well when class started, that was until he felt Venom tense up. "Hey kid you know that girl behind you?"

Siting up he saw Marinette out of the corner of his eyes staring at him with this dreamy half blank expression on her face. He turned away, as the hairs on his neck stood up. A part of him was always unnerved by Marinette and that look in her eyes was a part of it.

"Yeah she's Marinette why?"

"She's been staring at you all class and I saw her watch you come into the school. Is she a threat?"

He frowned and did his best to pay attention to the lecture. "No she's just a friend. Besides she is a little eccentric."

"Well something about her is putting me on edge. Should I scare her off?" Venom offered. "She seems like the type who could be trouble."

He shook his head. "No just leave her alone, I don't see her often anyway." Yeah Marinette was a little weird at times and often was at places where he was but those were all probably coincidences.

After the lecture he had a little break and decided to head to the restroom. "Man I can't wait for class to end," he muttered as he walked inside.

However, the sound of gunshots made him freeze. An akuma?

"Attention students armed men have entered the school, remain calm and find a place to hide," said a voice over the intercom.

His heart raced, he never would've thought that a shooting would occur in his school places. "Plagg-"

The door to the restroom burst open and a large masked man entered the room carrying a cheap looking pistol. "Come with me Adrien Agreste and no one gets hurt."

He swallowed his fear. "Wh-What do you want?" His body shook as he looked at the armed robbers. Oh god what's happening.

The man carefully raised the pistol as he gripped a rope in his hand. "No need for questions. Now come on or-"

Venom's presence reverberated throughout his body. In one moment he was looking up at the man and the next he was looking down at him, the man's bravado turning into fear as Venom's symbiote towered over him.

"Wh-What are you?"

"Your worst nightmare," Venom said as he grabbed the man and opened his jaw.

He was about to protest but the symbiote was quick and bit the man's head off in one go. Oh god. He winced as he forced himself to not look or think about how the alien symbiote just eaten a man.

Venom then through the body against the wall where it collapsed and bled. "I suggest we leave quickly."

He did a double take as the symbiote retreated into his body. "What was that for?"

"I was hungry," Venom said in his head. "Besides he would've taken you before you had the chance to transform."

He looked at the decapitated corpse and covered his mouth as his stomach turned. Oh god. Turning way he shook his head as he fought the urge to vomit.

"Uh Adrien we should go now," Plagg said.

The kwami's words took him out of his shock. "Plagg claws out."

He quickly used his baton and the symbiote to leave the bathroom. Outside the school various police officers were already stationed. "Might as well take care of this." Dad is going to have a heart attack. Sadly he could already hear him demanding he be removed.

Ladybug knocked the last of the intruders to the ground as the police stormed in. "I got this," She said as she threw one of the intruders at the men.

"Thank you Ladybug. How many are there?" A policeman asked.

She frowned as she looked towards the boy's bathroom. "I saw a third go that way, I'll check over there first."

Adrien please be safe. Her heart raced at the thought of Adrien hurt, she saw him go into the bathroom along with some weird adult trailing after him, then one of the intruders fired a blank into the air and demanded everyone get down.

Criminals usually steered clear of her and Cat Noir but they did have experience dealing with some low level street thugs.

She ran to the bathroom and kicked open the door. "Adrien!" Her voice reverberated throughout the room. "Adrien are you-"

She froze as she saw the decapitated corpse of the third guy on the ground bleeding. Oh my god what happened here? Covering her mouth she carefully opened each stall but no one was there. He entered here I swear I saw him enter.

Looking up at the open window she frowned. Just what happened here?

"Ladybug is everything ok?" A police officer said snapping her out of her thoughts.

She shook her head. "Yeah I found the body."

The policemen came in and swore. "What the hell did this to him?"

"I have no clue," She said folding her arms. No akuma that's for sure. "Anyway have any of you seen Adrien Agreste?"

One of the policemen spoke through his walkie talkie. "He's outside."

It took all her will power not to be surprised. How did he get out there? She knew for a fact she saw him enter this bathroom. "Good thank you," she quickly ran out of the room and out towards the front of the school. Adrien.

She saw him talking with a police officer. "Adrien!"

The blonde haired boy turned to her. "H-Hey Ladybug." His gaze was furtive as he looked around the area as if expecting some harsh interrogation. "G-Good to see you."

She went over to him. "I'm glad you're ok. Where did you hide?"

"Uh near the bathroom," Adrien said quickly. "I escaped through a window and found my way outside." He gave her a tense smile as if begging her to stop asking questions.

Your lying. She could tell. Something was wrong, her Adrien wasn't a liar.

"It's true Ladybug he ran here himself," A police officer said. "We'll investigate these men and whatever they wanted."

"Good," she turned to Adrien. "If you ever need my help let me know ok?"

Adrien gave her a weak smile. "Thanks."

With that the remaining men were taken captive. Nathalie came to pick up Adrien and he was whisked off. The school was closed for the day as the news began to report on everything that happened. The plans to meet up at Luka's were cancelled since everyone's parents came to pick them up so she was left with nothing but her thoughts.

By the time she arrived home she collapsed on her bed. "God that was weird," she muttered.

Tikki looked at her and nodded. "Maybe Adrien really did find another way to escape?"

She frowned. "Tikki I know that boy by heart and know his exact schedule and location. I know he went to the bathroom, I saw him go in."

Sitting up a shiver went down her spine. "But he wouldn't eat a person's head? How did that fugitive die?"

Tikki shrugged. "I don't know."

She got up and paced her room. "They were targeting Adrien, I wonder what for?" The thought of strangers trying to kidnap Adrien made her both fearful and angry. Adrien Agreste was hers and hers alone. "I won't let anyone hurt him. If anyone is after him we'll have to stop them."

Yet as she sat in her chair and looked at one of the various photos of Adrien in her room her mind began to think of the bathroom. "How did he get out of that bathroom?"

"Maybe you miss him enter?" Tikki asked.

She frowned. "Tikki I know that boy's schedule by heart there is no way I'd miss him. He went into that bathroom I'd be lying if I tried to refute it." Yet the image of that decapitated body made her stomach turn. What the hell happened? Her sweet Adrien wouldn't do that. "Something is going on I can feel it."

She went over to where she hid the miraculous box and took it out. "Tikki I feel like I'm going to need some more help."

Tikki nodded. "Who are you going to ask?"

She took out the snake miraculous. "Someone who can be calm even in the toughest situations."
