A/N: I'd be lying if I said that there wouldn't be consequences for what happened during the Halloween dance. While I am going to give Dontatme420 credit for the suspension subplot in "A New Cobra Comes to Town," my take on it will hopefully be different enough. If you haven't read "A New Cobra Comes to Town" or its sequel "Two Dojos One Family," I'd recommend reading them.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Karate Kid movies, Cobra Kai or anything else that I might reference.

Suspended

The rest of the weekend went by fairly quickly.

Jason didn't really do too much apart from going shopping, doing homework and just chilling out.

He woke up and got out of bed.

Jason got dressed and grabbed his wallet, phone and keys before heading downstairs.

He makes himself breakfast and sits down at the dining room table.

Jason eats in relative silence.

He wasn't quite sure what the fallout from his attack on Rory at the Halloween dance was going to be, but he knew that it wasn't going to be pleasant.

Jason finishes his meal and cleans his plate and cutlery before putting them in the dishwasher.

He grabs his backpack and walks out the door.

Jason walks to the Dodge Viper and unlocks it.

He gets in and turns the radio on before driving off.

If he was going to be punished for what he did, then he was going to take that punishment.

.

Jason finds somewhere to park before walking into West Valley High.

He sees Miguel and Claire waiting outside their homeroom class.

"Hey." Miguel gives Jason a bro handshake.

Jason returns the gesture. "It's great that you're coming back to Cobra Kai, dude."

"Yeah. It wouldn't be the same without you." Claire speaks up.

Jason agrees with her. "I might be the team captain, but you're the heart of the team."

"Thanks for the kind words." Miguel smiles.

Jason gives Miguel a pat on the back. "No problem."

"Are you going to get in trouble for what happened at the dance?" Miguel asks.

Jason shrugs. "Probably. But it'll be worth it. Kyler and his merry band of assholes are going to leave you alone. Which will give you plenty of time to train."

"Exactly." Miguel replies.

They talk until the bell rings.

The intercom goes off as soon as they walk into homeroom.

The lady on the intercom only has one announcement to make. "Jason Kreese, to the principal's office."

"I guess that's my cue to leave." Jason quips.

He walks out of the room.

It's not a particularly long walk to the principal's office, but it feels like it's a long walk.

.

The door to the principal's office is open.

Jason walks in and closes the door behind him.

The principal is sitting behind his desk and Counsellor Blatt is sitting a chair beside him.

There are chairs on the other side of the desk.

"Please take a seat, Mr Kreese." The principal points to one of the chairs across from him.

Blatt speaks up. "We've been hearing things about the Halloween dance that we're unhappy about. There was an altercation involving you and Rory Cunningham."

"Well, duh. I wouldn't be sitting here otherwise." Jason sits back in his chair.

The principal gives Jason a look. "I would advise you not to disrespect the people who are in charge of your punishment."

"So, will I be able to tell my side of the story or not? Or, will it make much of a difference seeing as you two have obviously made up your mind about what sort of punishment I'm going to get." Jason crosses his arms.

Counsellor Blatt frowns. "As Principal Lopez has said, it would be in your best interest to show some respect to the people who are in charge of punishing you. You are lucky that you haven't been expelled or arrested for attacking another student on school grounds."

"So, it's my fault?" Jason asks.

The principal nods. "There is footage of you walking up to him and attacking him. So, yes, it is your fault."

"And you don't want to know why?" Jason asks.

Blatt shakes her head. "Violence of any kind is not tolerated here. No matter the reason."

"So, you definitely don't want to hear my side? At all? I thought you guys were supposed to be impartial. But I guess that was a fucking lie." Jason retorts.

The principal interjects. "I have already told you that you shouldn't be disrespectful to the people who are in charge of your punishment. But I don't think you've understood that."

"I don't want to be rude, but you guys should do your jobs better. You told the entire school that a kid with a facial deformity was crying because people made fun of him. And everybody knows that Eli is the only one who has a facial deformity. Which means that his parents must have talked to you about what was going on." Jason remarks.

Blatt is quick to defend herself. "What goes on between students and myself or their parents and myself is confidential."

"Rory was one of the people who attacked Miguel Diaz at the Halloween dance…" Jason starts.

The principal interrupts him. "But you don't have any proof of that."

"Why don't you call Miguel in here and ask him? He's got the bruises to prove it." Jason retorts.

Blatt shakes her head. "As Principal Lopez has said, you don't have any proof that Rory Cunningham or his friends attacked Miguel Diaz. I don't think that calling him in and asking him will prove anything."

"Can I ask who told you about what happened to Rory?" Jason asks.

Blatt shakes her head. "That's confidential."

"Okay. Sure. I bet Kyler was the person who blabbed. Or maybe it was Yasmine. Speaking of Yasmine, she made a video mocking Aisha and implying that she was a pig." Jason retorts.

The principal scowls slightly. "We'll look into it."

"As for your punishment, we're going to be generous and give you a two-week suspension." Blatt says.

Jason nods. "Okay. That seems fair."

"You will be allowed to return to school when your suspension is over. We will be giving you the option to make up any assignments that you get over the duration of your suspension instead of being given zeroes by default. I would normally ask you to wait in the office until your parents arrived, but your living situation is fairly unique. So, you're dismissed." The principal continues.

Jason pushes his chair back and stands up before grabbing his backpack.

He opens the door and walks out of the office.

Jason walks out of West Valley High and walks over to where his Dodge Viper is parked.

He unlocks the car and gets in the driver's seat.

Jason puts his backpack on the passenger's seat before he turns on the radio and drives off.

He turns up the radio as he drives.

There isn't much else for him to do other than drive home.

.

Jason turns off the radio before parking the Dodge Viper in the driveway.

He gets out of the car and takes his backpack with him.

The walk from the driveway to the house is pretty short.

Jason unlocks the door and walks into his house before closing it.

He unpacks his backpack and puts everything away.

Jason walks to the fridge and takes out a soda.

He walks over to the sofa in the living room and sits down.

Jason opens the soda and drinks it while he checks messages on his phone.

There are texts from Miguel, Claire, Aisha, Demetri and Eli.

He answers their texts.

Jason finishes his soda and goes to throw out the can.

He'll have to tell Sensei that he got suspended.

So, he thinks about what exactly he's going to say.

.

Jason parks his Dodge Viper outside the dojo.

He notices that Claire had parked her Volkswagen Beetle outside the dojo as well.

Jason gets out of the car and walks over to where Miguel, Claire and Aisha are standing.

Miguel gives him a bro handshake before Aisha gives him a pat on the shoulder and Claire gives him a hug.

They stand around talking until Sensei arrives.

Sensei parks his Pontiac Firebird across from the dojo and gets out of the car.

They watch as Sensei opens the door of the dojo.

"Kreese, my office. The rest of you can wait." Sensei orders.

Miguel, Claire and Aisha wait while Jason follows Sensei into his office.

Sensei closes the door halfway and sits down behind the desk in his office.

Jason watches as he takes a Coors Banquet out of the fridge.

He waits for Sensei to open the Coors Banquet and take a drink. "There's something I should tell you."

"You attacked one of those assholes at the dance even though I practically told you not to? The big dumb one?" Sensei asks.

Jason nods. "Yeah. But I didn't attack Brucks. I went after Rory instead."

"So, you got suspended? How long are you suspended for?" Sensei asks while he finishes his Coors Banquet.

Jason watches as Sensei takes another Coors Banquet out of the fridge. "I'm suspended for two weeks, Sensei."

"Take the punishment like a man. Accept the consequences of your actions." Sensei advises.

Jason watches as Sensei opens the Coors Banquet and takes a drink.

He makes his way towards the door. "I think I'm going to go if that's okay, Sensei."

"Hold on." Sensei says.

Jason stops. "Yes, Sensei?"

"You said that you're suspended for two weeks, right?" Sensei takes another drink of his Coors Banquet.

Jason nods his head again. "I did. Is there any particular reason?"

"You're going to have extra training for the duration of your suspension. Even on Saturdays. I'm going to put you through hell. And it's going to be a learning experience for you." Sensei answers.

Jason bows his head slightly. "Understood, Sensei."

"Good. I'll be out in about a minute, Kreese." Sensei says.

Jason watches as Sensei finishes the Coors Banquet before he opens the door of Sensei's office and walks back to the main dojo.

The rest of training goes by smoothly.

Even if Jason wondered what Sensei meant by "extra training."
