Emmanuel - Lol I thought you were going to say he should do something else with the Rainbow ;)
DragonLovingBrony - Not a fan of hers I take it?
Pianouniverse - Thanks, but I'm sure there are plenty of others out there that are better than my humble little piece of work.
Lone the Dark Hearted Wolf - Yeah, he did go a little overboard, didn't he? But, all things considered, can you really blame him?
zcdragon64 - There does seem to be something... off, about Dash lately, doesn't there?
DarkwolfLord - That's generally how it goes when people (and ponies) let their emotions get the better of them
A Revanchist - Yeah, she's changed a lot, but she's still headstrong and overconfident. And who says she's not acting this way for a reason? ;)
UnknownHero55 - Can't say I've ever been hit with one, but if its anything like an overfilled basketball, I imagine it would...
Kyguy - Yeah, crazy things tend to happen in the mind of someone who's had their heart broken...
bobfromsiam99 - That's the best kind of twist ;)
MortBlackthorn - Heheheheh... Yeah, that was certainly 'relaxing'
StacheKing - I'm not so much proud as grateful to everyone who's left me a review; this story wouldn't be what it is today without you guys and all your feedback and support
TurnupGrain43 - He could have said that, but then, people don't always think things through when they're upset.
cking1996 - Nice! It's awesome to know that there are people who have stuck with me on this crazy journey for so long!
centaurus2 - Yeah, they both done bad...
KillerWoW - Yeah, there's some pretty strange stuff going on, isn't there?
PyraohXBlaze - Well, here it is ;)
Fusion Blitz - Yeah, emotions can do that... Lol I will, I don't know how to be anyone else... (Lol seriously, even my impressions suck...)
coldshadow92 - Well, that's my goal here; make the best story I can. And as I improve, so will it
ShadowfireAngel - Lol it happens to the best of us ;) And you can find out more about where things are headed right now!
Mikalzilla - Silly Billy! I wouldn't do something like that! I mean, it'd be pretty mean to go and break somepony's wall, especially if they only had four to begin with!
xel101 - Yup... they both done goofed... And Pinkie's been calling him Blakie since like chapter four (Though I may have fudged the spelling)
Zero the Warrior of Chaos - Yeah... it's also pretty hard to predict how you'll act when you're angry. I know I've said and done things I never thought I would when I was mad.
shadows being - Eeyup... overreactions all around it seems.
DragonLord RyuKizoku - Yeah... strange, isn't it...?
A/N - Howdy everypony! We're back with another shiny new installment of A Second Chance! I know everypony's dying to find out what happens next, so I'll keep things short. I wanted to thank everyone who's reviewed this story over the past year and a half, and for giving me over a thousand reviews... seriously, you guys are all awesome! A small word of warning; This chapter contains a foreign language (created by me), and if you want to know what's being said, I've left translations at the end of the chapter. As always, don't forget to follow/favorite, review, and most importantly; enjoy!
"Oh, um… I don't really know if I should… I mean, if Rainbow Dash wants to move, should we really try to stop her?" All of us had gathered at Fluttershy's cottage after agreeing that she'd be the best pony to help us. Even Spike, who almost instantly started fawning over Rarity as soon as he found out she'd stopped by, was with us. A very surprised and happy Pabu had immediately sprung up and made himself at home around my shoulders the instant the buttery yellow mare had opened her door.
"But Fluttershy! She's only doing it because her and Blakie had a fight! Would we be good friends if we just let her go Celestia-knows-where without trying to help them!? They might never see each other again, and Rainbow Dash would be mad at Blakie forever!" I had to admit that that was a pretty solid argument, especially among this group of friends, and doubly especially coming from Pinkie Pie of all ponies.
Fluttershy looked at the ground in her usual timid manner. "I… um… I guess you have a point there… but, why me?"
Pinkie dashed over and pulled on one of Fluttershy's wingtips, extending the wing even as poor Flutters yelped in shock. "Silly filly; we can't fly up there like you can! Plus, you're her best friend, if there's anypony she'd trust enough to listen to right now, it's you!" Poor Fluttershy cringed away from Pinkie's overly loud and boisterous claims.
"A-are you sure there's n-nopony else…?"
Cadance floated a protesting Pinkie away with her magic and trotted up to the timid mare. "Please Fluttershy… Pinkie Pie's right; Blake and Rainbow Dash may never see one another again if she moves away, and they would never have a chance to fix their friendship with one another."
Fluttershy hung her head. "A-alright… I'll talk to Rainbow Dash… for Blake."
I knelt down and gave the animal caretaker a gentle hug. "Thanks Fluttershy… and even though I wish it had been under better circumstances, I'm glad to see you again."
Fluttershy leaned into the hug, and hesitantly wrapped a hoof around me. "It's good to see you too… I'm glad you came back out of that scary forest in one piece."
I patted her back and stood up. "Me too. Now, you need to hurry if you're going to catch Dash."
Her ears flattened against her head. "Oh… you mean… you're not coming too?"
I shook my head. "We're the last ponies she would want to see right now, and if she sees you with us, she may not want to talk to you at all."
Fluttershy looked back to the ground. "I suppose that makes sense. Alright… you six stay here, I'll go find Rainbow Dash and come back here once I've talked to her." Fluttershy spread her wings and took to the air, looking back several times as she went.
Once she was gone, all we could do was wait. Since all of us, save for Pinkie, who took some convincing, came to the decision that it would be rude to just barge into Fluttershy's house while she wasn't home, we opted to sit around outside, watching as the pink party mare struggled to keep herself entertained.
"Are you doing ok Rarity?" Ponyville's resident fashionista had been unusually quiet, and I was worried she might know something she hadn't told us.
"Hmm? Oh, I'm fine, Darling, really. If anything, I'm worried about you. After all, this whole mess revolves around you and Rainbow Dash." I nodded to her, accepting the explanation.
A moment later, I pulled out my pocketwatch for the umpteenth time to check the time, only to find that it had been ten minutes since Fluttershy had left, a whopping two minutes more than the last time I had checked it. I looked around at everypony, and it was evident that the wait was getting to us all. "Should I run home and grab a board game or something?"
Before anyone else could respond, Pinkie stuck a hoof into her mane and started digging around. "Why didn't you say something sooner?! I always keep a game or two on hoof in case it gets too boring!"
There was an entire chorus of facepalms/hoofs as the crazy pink ball of energy pulled a small game out of her insanely curly mane. I groaned and dragged my hand down my face. "Of course you have that up there…"
I watched Pinkie start to set up the game, assigning pieces to Cadance and Luna. Before she could get to me, something in the air caught my eye; it was a familiar, yellow blob heading slowly towards us. "Looks like we won't get to play after all…" My heart started hammering in my chest as the anticipation built.
Everyone, including Pinkie Pie, followed my gaze. We waited with bated breath as our messenger drew ever closer, taking her time since she wasn't exactly a strong flyer. Eventually, she drew up to us and landed softly in the grass in front of her little cottage.
Fluttershy looked around at all of us, then trotted up to me. "She agreed not to leave Ponyville… But," I gulped as I waited for the bad news to hit. "She… she doesn't want to see you again, Blake… not ever."
I sighed and patted her on the shoulder lightly. "Thanks Fluttershy… I guess that's the best I could really have hoped for. She may not want to see me again, but at least you all can still be friends."
She hung her head. "I'm sorry. I wish I could have done more to help you. I hate to see friends fighting like this."
I knelt down and gave the shy mare a gentle hug. "You did more than enough Fluttershy, thank you." I stood up and looked off in the direction of my house. "We should get together sometime and have lunch… say this weekend at my place?"
Fluttershy nodded. "That sounds wonderful! I'll bring a fall salad for everypony."
"Sounds good to me Fluttershy. For now though, we really should be getting home; I have a few things I want to talk to Twilight about when she gets back."
We all waved one another goodbye as Pinkie and Rarity headed off towards town, with a drooling Spike following closely behind his hopeless crush. Luna, Cadance and I headed back towards our house, Luna leaning in close to me, her warmth and support radiating off of her as we walked. With so much going on, it was hard to keep everything straight; all the turmoil in the Everfree, Falathiel being dormant, Twilight being sick with who-knows-what, and now Rainbow Dash added to the list. It was enough to send anyone's head spinning.
"She'll come around Blake, once she has time to cool off. I'll bet that this is all just a spur-of-the-moment thing."
I regarded Cadance wearily. "I really hope so Cadance. If this were Earth, she probably wouldn't speak to Twilight or Applejack again just because they're my marefriends, and I don't want that."
"I say that there's been enough of this talk for now. Come, let us imbibe in the hot tub and forget out troubles!"
I shook my head as Luna tugged on me. "Sorry Lulu, no can do… drinking alcohol with a concussion is a recipe for disaster."
"I'm afraid he's right Aunt Luna; I did a bit of reading on alcohol this morning, and a mind-altering substance like that would just make things worse."
I winked at my dear fiancé. "You two are welcome to get as drunk as you like though."
We made our way home and walked inside to the smell of burning food. I rushed into the kitchen to find Derpy fighting off a small fire on the stovetop. "I'm sorry! I don't know what went wrong!"
Not thinking, I engulfed the flame in a forcefield, allowing the thing to smother itself out. I almost instantly regretted the action, as a splitting headache tore through my mind, and I tried to dispel the globular, gold-and-blue magical barrier.
I started to panic when I couldn't dispel it, the pain in my head growing worse by the second. "Blake! Don't worry, I have an idea!" The words were clear enough, but I couldn't place who was saying them.
An instant later, the world faded to black.
The next thing I knew, I was lying on something soft, on my back. Voices were abuzz around me, but I couldn't make out what was being said. I groaned as my head started to pound, but when I tried to put my hands to it to hold it against the pain, I discovered that I couldn't move my arms.
I opened my eyes, and saw the worried faces of Cadance, Luna and Derpy all hovering over me. I could see their lips moving, and I could hear them speaking, but their words sounded disjointed and scrambled, like a child throwing random sounds together and calling it a secret language.
Luna noticed me looking between her and Cadance, and her face lit up. "Fel Luae! Eluyi irs'ta irmirke!"
I felt my face screw up in confusion. "Luna… I don't understand what you're saying."
Her eyes went wide with shock. She paused for a moment, as if she was trying to remember something. "Can… can you understand me now?" She was speaking slowly, and she had a heavy accent that I'd never heard before, but I could understand her.
"I can now… Luna, what's going on?"
She shook her head. "I am not sure, my love, but it would seem that you have lost your ability to understand Equestrian. I am speaking to you in your native tongue at the moment."
I felt an icy chill run through my veins. "How long do you think this will last?"
Cadance glanced between us as we spoke. "Iryi'ar Luna, msuirx'c wu'ta 'tu? Msuel m'na'x O yiere'tecx'nar msuirx eluyi xmu irs'ta cirel'ta?"
Luna turned to her and said something in the strange language. "She wants to know why she can no longer understand us. I told her that something has happened to the magic that lets you speak our language. As for how long this will last… I am not sure there is a way to undo the damage that caused this in the first place."
I sighed and stared at the sheets of our sprawling bed for a moment. "Well, Twilight and I were planning on lessons to teach me Equestrian… I guess this will just move up the schedule a bit." I looked over to Derpy, who had retreated several steps with a forlorn look on her face. "What was Derpy cooking anyway?" The klutzy grey mare perked up at the mention of her name, which, on top of Cadance saying Luna's name, lead me to guess that proper names were the same in both languages.
Cadance looked between us, worried expression giving way to excitement.
"Su'eel! su'e fe'taxo'tuj'ut Twilight! O nex csu'e m'na su'elti yic!"
The more I heard the strange language of Equestria, the more I realized that it was more than an amalgamation of random sounds mashed together as I had originally thought, and I came to appreciate its flowing words and melodic tones. It almost reminded me of the elvish language I'd read about in the Tolkien books my grandpa let me read when I would visit.
I felt a sudden wave of nostalgia wash over me, and I let out a sigh. "Are you alright, my love?"
I looked her in the eyes, and saw concern there. "Yeah… just remembering one of my few happy memories from home."
She nodded, a small, warm smile coming to her face. "I see. I am glad that you have found a happy memory in such a time." She turned and said something to Cadance, who promptly turned and left the room in quite a hurry. "I told her to go and find Twilight; I believe she is right in saying that she may be able to help us in this matter. There are few alive today who know as much about magic as she, after all."
I nodded, but stopped before I could say anything when I heard the sound of crying. I looked over Luna's shoulder to see Derpy, sitting in a corner, tears streaming down her face and looking at the floor. "Luna… could you do me a favor and tell Derpy that this isn't her fault, and that I don't want her to worry?"
Luna nodded and trotted over to Derpy, spending a few minutes calming her down. Once she had managed to stop crying, they both came back over to the bedside, where I had since sat up and allowed my thoughts to wander. When they stopped walking, I looked up to my Princess. "Hey Lulu… just how long was I out?"
She shook her head. "Not long, my love; perhaps an hour, maybe a little less. You were lucky, Cadance realized what was happening and managed to disconnect your magic from your mind before it could cause any more injury to you. Needless to say, you are still far from out of danger."
I let out a huge sigh of relief, fully aware of the dangers of losing consciousness, for any reason, with a concussion. "Thanks Luna, it's a relief to hear that."
I looked over to Derpy and patted my lap, beckoning her over to me. She looked shocked for a moment, an expression that gave way to one of happiness as she climbed onto the bed and rested her head in my lap.
Luna climbed on after and lay behind me, wrapping herself around my back so that I could use her like a living body pillow. I turned to my right and planted a kiss on her lips, then turned forward to do the same With Derpy.
Tears welled in the mare's eyes before she wiped them away. "Vt'o'nak eluyi Blake... O... O luae eluyi."
I ran my fingers through her pale mane, gently massaging her scalp with my fingertips. "If I'm not mistaken… 'O' means 'I', 'luae' means 'love', and 'eluyi' is… 'you'?"
Luna nodded. "Very good my love. How did you ascertain that?"
I shrugged. "I just listened to what everyone was saying. What's the word for 'too', as in 'as well'?" Luna leaned in and whispered it into my ear. I looked down to Derpy and stroked her cheek with my hand. "O luae eluyi xoo, Derpy Hooves."
Luna giggled behind me as Derpy gave me a bright smile. "What? Did I say something wrong?"
"No my love… it is just… your accent is positively atrocious."
I smirked and playfully pressed myself against her. "Hardee har har… I happen to think I did pretty well for my first time speaking a language that I'd never heard before five minutes ago."
She giggled again and pushed me forward. "You are right my love, I apologize."
I kissed the tip of her nose, causing her to wiggle it around as she went cross-eyed to look at it. "Say, where are Scootaloo and Dinky anyway? I figured they'd be in here too."
"I believe they are playing with their friends… attempting to find their cutie marks I would imagine."
I rested my head against Luna's neck, and she rested her own on my shoulder. "Good… Those poor fillies have been worried about me for long enough, they don't need to know about this if we can help it."
"Luna, msuirx'c su'e cirel'ta? O m'na'x yiere'tecx'nar eluyi xmu msue'ta eluyi xirlk loke vt'oirx."
Luna spoke to Derpy in their language for a moment, then turned to me. "She wanted to know what we were saying since she cannot understand this language, and so I told her."
The door to the bedroom swung open at that moment, Cadance and Twilight hurrying into the room, stopping when they were standing next to me. Cadance said something to Luna, who then nodded.
Twilight leaned forward, and her horn sparked to life. She was quiet for a moment as I felt the cool tingle of one of her scanning spells trace up and down my body. After a tense moment, she dismissed her magic and wiped her brow. "Lookc loke eluyi wux lyimkel, focxe'te; lastuf msuirx O m'na t'laal, Cadance f'nairwj'ut ko cxuti xsu'e lalum ula firwom dyicx ti xofe, 'nael l'tuwe'te 'nar vt'ooc fowsux suirae neez tie'tef'nae'tax. Irc ox cx'narc stowsux zum, o'r wyie'jac vt'oirx xsu'e firwom vt'oirx lexc eluyi yiere'tecx'nar ekyie'jat'elo'na csuuyilr s'tairu'ee'tex oxk'ojlla ti xsu'e zetx laem suuyistc 're cu."
I blinked several times at the unintelligible, rapid-fire ramblings. Twilight seemed to be happy about whatever it was she was saying, so I guessed that it was good news. Before I could ask my impromptu translator what my overly-eager, overly-smart marefriend had said, she wrapped me in a tight hug, and Derpy wriggled around, wrapping her hooves around my waist. "Did you hear that My Love?! This condition is merely temporary; you should be able to understand Equestrian again by the time I must raise the moon!"
I did my best to return the two hugs I was receiving. "That's amazing news, Luna! I was afraid I was going to have to learn Equestrian all at once, without being able to take a break and talk to anypony. But hey, that's not the case, so let's find something to do until it comes back, and then we can celebrate!" A sudden thought popped into my mind. "Oh, shoot! I forgot that I was supposed to meet up with Vinyl, 'Tavi and Lyra tonight!"
Luna kissed me on the cheek. "Worry not Love, I will ask Twilight to speak to them on your behalf; I am sure they will not mind rescheduling your time together, considering the circumstances."
I returned her kiss, and shifted so she could get up. "Thanks Lulu, you're the best!" I looked between Cadance and Twilight. "Could you tell them I said 'thank you' for me please?" Luna stood from the bed and stretched before speaking to Twilight and Cadance in turn, presumably asking Twilight to talk to Vi and the others, and relaying my 'thank you' for me.
Everyone, save for Derpy, trotted out of the room together, leaving the two of us alone together in the sprawling bed. My klutzy marefriend shifted around on the bed, turning herself so she could look up at me. She had a smile on her face, but I could still see the regret in her crossed eyes.
I knew that she couldn't understand my words, so I leaned down and kissed her, trying to reassure her that it was alright, that I didn't blame her for what happened. I felt a single tear roll off of her cheek and splash onto mine, and her hoof wrapped around my head as she leaned into the kiss further.
Derpy started moaning deep in her throat as we kissed, and it wasn't long before I felt her mouth open and her tongue slip into my mouth, dancing around my own, teasing it with her sweet taste. I wrapped an arm around her, pulling her in closer and joining her, our tongues dancing around one another in a loving embrace. I felt my body heating up as her touch, her smell, her taste, the sounds she was making, even her pretty face, all came together to create an intoxicating brew.
I felt one of Derpy's hooves sliding up my leg, towards the growing bulge in my pants, and unlike before, I had no intentions of stopping her this time. I let out a small groan as her hoof danced across my sensitive inner thigh, and my own hand slid down her body, working its way towards her flank, seemingly of its own accord.
My lusty marefriend let out a surprised gasp as my fingers brushed across her cutie mark, then began to moan into my mouth as they kneaded their way gently into it, caressing all the right pleasure points as they went. Her hoof reached its target, and she looked down as she caressed it, making things painfully tight for me. I let out a groan of discomfort, and she stopped, obviously thinking she'd done something wrong. I kissed her again to let her know that she hadn't, and started undoing my belt for her.
It didn't take long for her to realize what the problem was, and she batted my hand away as she used her mouth to try to finish undoing my pants, freeing me from my torment. The poor mare struggled though, and as much as I didn't want to insult her by doing it for her, I also couldn't take being confined like that for much longer.
Trying to be gentle, I caressed her cheek with my hand, smiling at her and undoing the button and zipper as she looked up at me, love for me filling her crossed eyes and warm smile.
Her eyes went wide and straightened out as she took in the sight of my erect manhood. She shook her head, and looked up to me. I beckoned her up to me, and wrapped her up in my arms when we were eye-to-eye.
After a moment more of our tongues dancing around one another, I gently flipped her over, so that her back was against my chest and she was sitting in my lap. She cooed and wiggled as she felt me pressing against her flank, making me even harder. I slid my hand down her chest as I leaned forward, taking one of her ears in my mouth, nibbling and sucking gently.
Her breath started to catch in her chest as my hand moved lower, and my other hand slid around her neck, tilting her head so that we could kiss once again. As my hand slid across her bellybutton, I felt Derpy's legs open wide, the needy mare granting me easy access to her most private area.
I suddenly felt bad for making her wait this long, and decided to make things up to her by making sure I did everything I could to satisfy her every desire. My hand slipped across the orb of one of her small breasts, and she gasped into the kiss. I caressed the tender flesh of the small mound, avoiding the sensitive nipple to drive up her pleasure.
Derpy started squirming around, rubbing her flank more vigorously against me, and I could tell exactly what she wanted; and I was all too ready to give her exactly what she wanted.
Suddenly, she pulled away from the kiss, sliding out of my grasp and lowering herself down, until she's eye-level with my twitching shaft. My lusty marefriend then stuck her tongue out, sliding it up my shaft as she gave it a taste-test. Her eyes lit up like stars when her tongue lapped up the precum dribbling from my tip, and I groaned at the sensation of her smooth, warm tongue sliding across the underside of my head.
She licked her lips with a lusty smile, and without warning, bobbed her head down, engulfing the first several centimeters of my rigid cock in her hot, wet mouth. The feeling nearly overwhelmed me, but I managed to fight it back, allowing my eager marefriend to do as she pleased.
I groaned loudly when I felt her tongue flitting all over my head as it it rested in her mouth, and I couldn't quite tell if she was trying to pleasure me, or get more of my precum, or perhaps both, though I didn't particularly care which one she was after at the time.
My hand gently rested on the back of her head, and I gently pressed down, trying to guide her in her first time. She seemed to get the message, and slid her mouth further down onto me, licking every bit that was in her mouth the entire time.
"Hey Blake, I heard you-" My head snapped up, eyes locking on the doorway, where Vinyl Scratch stood, staring at my marefriend, who had frozen in place at the sound of her voice, half of my shaft buried in her mouth. "That's… That's pretty hot dude; I had no idea you were so hung… you gonna let me in on that sometime?"
I blinked several times as my mind processed the situation, and I wasn't sure if I should tell her to leave, close the door on the openly gawking mare, or ask her why I could understand her.
"Fel Luae! Eluyi irs'ta irmirke!" = My Love! You are awake!
"Iryi'ar Luna, msuirx'c wu'ta 'tu? msuel m'na'x o yiere'tecx'nar msuirx eluyi xmu irs'ta cirel'ta?" = "Aunt Luna, what's going on? Why can't I understand what you two are saying?"

"O luae eluyi xoo, Derpy Hooves." = "I love you too, Derpy Hooves."
"Luna, msuirx'c su'e cirel'ta? O m'na'x yiere'tecx'nar eluyi xmu msue'ta eluyi xirlk loke vt'oirx." = Luna, what's he saying? I can't understand you two when you talk like that."

As it stands right now, I'd guess that the magic that lets you understand Equestrian should reassert itself in the next few hours or so."
