Alrighty!
We have this one chapter, which has a lot to do with Draco and Ron. This will be a little intro to pureblood families and customs, especially because of some things going on at Gringotts. It isn't a lot, but when it comes to Lucius, you have to get into politics.
We should continue, so let's go.

Draco relaxed his shoulders as he and his father entered Gringotts. His mother trailed behind them, her face stoic, yet alert.
Draco had met the goblins before. However, he hadn't interacted with them as much. He arrived at the bank to get his gold and then be on his way. Now?
He was taking in everything as subtly as possible. And what he saw was wondrous.
Goblins were not as the many books on pureblooded etiquette stated- barbaric. They were refined and polite. Certainly, the tongue they spoke in was not one that Draco could understand, but they did arithmetic on a whim and could tell the purity of gemstones at a glance. They dressed in an elegant fashion as well. Not completely alike to wizarding robes, but close enough to make a connection. The differences were things that complemented each goblins stature. The edges of the outfits were all sharp and defined, going along with their intelligent eyes and pointed teeth. They wore earrings, and some- hats, which may have signified different groups within the kingdoms ranks.
"We are here once again to check up on the Black inheritance, before my son leaves for Hogwarts." Lucius spoke, snapping Draco's attention to the goblin in front of them.
He looked down at Draco with soft eyes. Well, softer than they had been before. Draco looked back, slowly blinking before giving a nod. The goblin nodded back, before sneering at the boys father.
"Very well. We will require blood of a member of the family."
"Go on Draco." His father spoke silkily. "Give the goblin your hand."
Draco bit back a gulp, presenting his hand to the individual before them. The way his father spoke made him believe it would be his last act as a living being.
Nevertheless, it was quick and relatively painless. A single prick at the end of his finger, a drop of blood, and it was done.
"I will return soon. Please wait patiently."
Lucius smirked as the goblin went away. "Well done Draco. You are showing great promise, though I am surprised you would not ask about the use of your blood."
Draco winced. He had been taught that blood was a powerful medium. "My apologies father. Perhaps you could educate me?"
His father sneered, before smoothing back a lock of his blonde hair. "Because it was a simple mistake, I will humor you. The goblins use magic to match your blood to a family record. That is the best answer I can give, no one else knows anything better."
Draco nodded. "Oh… I see…"
Lucius smiled. "A lot of wizards believe that they sacrifice it to summon an ancestor, who will in turn, provide the bloodlines information."
"A sacrifice?"
"Indeed. It might take some of your magic, so be wary of casting after this."
Draco gulped, before shaking his head. This civilized race would do no such thing. His father was just believing old myths and rumors, or using them to scare him.
Moments later, the goblin came back with a weathered scroll. "The Black record. There have been changes, though not the ones that you expect."
Lucius's eyes narrowed as he snatched the scroll from the goblin. As he read, his eyes widened considerably.
"This must be some sort of joke…" His voice was quiet, before he turned on the goblin. "You. Who has put you up to this?"
Draco winced as the goblin clicked his teeth. "It isn't a plot against you sir. I ssure you, it hasn't been tampered with."
"Then how is it that there are two more here upon the tree? All eligible heirs?"
Draco blinked as the family tree was revealed. His mother gasped as they both beheld two new spots on the parchments.
"This, under Sirius Black… Harry Potter has not been seen in years. How is his name upon the Black family tree?" Lucius hissed. "And Bellatrix had no children. Why is there a place below her name? And for that matter, if she does have a child, where is the name of the father!?"
"Mr Malfoy, please calm yourself." The goblin shook their head. "I don not have the answers that you require."
"Then you better tell me who the hell does." The man snarled. "My boy has gone from the primary heir to the Black fortune, down to the third in line!"
The goblin took the scroll back from Dracos father. "Please, Mr Malfoy. If you seek answers then use your position at the ministry to go to Azkaban, and ask Mr. Black yourself! I am sure that he will tell you just how Harry Potter could inherit from him."
Lucius closed his mouth with a click, before nodding. "You know what? That actually sounds like a bit of useful advice… Come now Draco, Narcissa. We are leaving."
Draco turned to the goblin and gave a quick bow, before following after his parents. The goblin gave a soft smile as the boy left, before snapping back to being curt and stoic.
"Fair thee well, seer."

Ron looked up from his place at the side of the alley. He wasn't the only one to see Lucius Malfoy storming angrily into Flourish and Blotts, nor was he the only one to see a dejected Molly Weasley lead two of her children into the bookstore as well.
Ron weighed his options as his heart tugged at him. He didn't want to see his mother again, especially after she cast him from the family. But Draco… and to see Ginny. He may not be her brother anymore, but he was stillprotective of her. And it was her first year at Hogwarts too…
Ron looked around, before making a beeline for the bookstore, his heart carrying him all the way in.

Draco typically enjoyed the bookstore.
Not today however.
Why? Well on top of his father being in a very bad mood, a bumbling buffoon of a conman was on tour, promoting his autobiography.
Gilderoy Lockhart. Three times recipient of utter bollocks certificates and awards, with an order of Merlin, third class, for his help as an obliviator.
Wonder where he got his stories…
His father had always laughed at the brazen attitude of the man in each of his books, often pointing out how his use of charms was at best, far fetched. That did little now to quell his mood.
Thankfully, Draco's mother acted as a sacrifice and pushed Lucius to his favorite section of obscure tomes before standing in line to get the big headed blowhards novels for his school supplies. Draco himself was left to collect the rest of his necessary material.
'Let's see here… The Standard Book of Spells Volume Two…'
"Psssst. Draco."
The blonde boys head snapped up to meet the blue eyes of a boy with black hair and fair skin. "Erm… do I know you?"
The boys eyes shifted left and right, before focusing on Draco once more. "It's me."
Draco blinked, before doing a double take. "Ron?"
"Quiet! My mother is here!" The boy hissed, quickly ducking behind a bookshelf. Draco could only stare at the crazy changes to the boy he knew as his friend.
"What happened to you."
Ron turned and ran a hand through his hair. "It's a long story…"
"Tell me the short of it." Draco grabbed his shoulder.
"Dad went missing on his mission. Bill was injured. Mum found out about my magic and tossed me out. I've been on the road for about a month an a half now."
Draco looked him up and down. "You're clothes… they're all-"
"Patchy?" Ron raised an eyebrow. "Spider silk. My friends are good at what they do."
Draco blinked. "You, friends with spiders?"
"I'll explain it sometime later-"
"What about your hair?" Draco gestured to Ron's head. "No way that you-"
"Run in with a weird magic eating spider." Ron shrugged. "You win some you lose some."
"I don't think you should be so calm about this." Draco shook his head.
"Believe me, me neither, but I kinda can't afford to break down!" Ron hissed. "Now, I need you to get me to my sister."
Draco peered out from behind the bookshelf. "Well, you won't have to look far. She looks like she's trying to get away from the dimwit line."
Ron looked over and groaned. "Lockhart? What the hell is that idiot-"
"I am pleased to announce that I have accepted the position for Professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry."
"Oh for the love of-"
"Ron, look. She slipped away from your mother." Draco pointed, watching as Ginny walked over to the right side of the store and ducked behind a bookshelf. "Come on."
The two boys snuck quietly around the line, before disappearing behind the same bookcase.
Ginny stood at the end, leafing through a book with a pitch black leather binding. It almost looked like-
"A Diary…" Ron grunted. "I was gonna get her one for her first year." Draco looked t him and he gave a look back. "What? Girls like that sort of thing, y'know? Thought it would show my support as her brother."
Draco rolled his eyes. "Yeah, I'm sure she would've loved it."
"Well she's looking at them now!" Ron whispered harshly, before shaking his head. "I'm gonna go talk too her."
"And say what?" Draco turned around. With a breathy voice, he placed his hand on Ron's cheek. "Ginny… It's me, your brother…"
Ron slapped the other boys hand away. "Ponce-"
Draco grinned as Ron shook his head. "You should see your face! Magic, how I've missed this!"
Ron shook his head. "Bloody git. I'm just going to go over and-"
"And what?"
Both boys jumped as Ginny Weasley spoke up from beside them. "Oh! Um- Hi."
The redheaded girl frowned. "You're Draco Malfoy, and by your looks, you're a Black. Though that is interesting… the Blacks haven't had a pure heir since-"
Draco's eyes widened, looking up at Rons face. He did look like a Black…
'Two more upon the tree!'
"Hello? I'm talking to you." Draco blinked as the redheaded girl snapped her fingers in front of his face. "Have your attention now?"
"Hey, don't talk down to him Gin." Ron shook his head, causing the girls head to snap onto him with a heated glare.
"How do you know that name?" She hissed, her eyes flashing.
Ron gulped. "Er… Ginny… It's me. It's Ron."
The girls eyes burned hot enough to raise the temperature of the room. From the look on Ron's face, she actually scared him.
"Excuse me?"
"Hey now. Cool down. Come on. Come on." ROn shook his head, backpedaling. "Here, I can prove it."
The girls eyes narrowed. "You do not have the red hair. You do not have the freckles. You do not have the overall demeanor of our family so how are you Ronald Billius Weasley?"
The boy scratched the back of his head. "Well… it's just Ron, actually. Name is gone since mum kicked me out n', well…"
"How can you prove it?"
Ron winced, before holding up a hand and uttering a series of clicks. Draco felt the blood drain from his face as a spider crawled out of the sleeve of his robes. "Remember Nib?"
Ginny looked at the arachnid as if she had swallowed a lemon, before looking up at Ron. "You left."
"Mum threw me out." Ron sighed.
Ginny leapt forward and embraced her brother. "I know, you idiot. But you could've-"
Ron sighed as the girl burst into tears. "Gin… I didn't know where I was. I just made it into London yesterday."
Draco blinked. "You've been wandering through the countryside for that long? I thought you made it to London weeks ago!"
Ron shook his head. "No. Heck, I almost died from the big spider back on the road, but Nib saved me."
Ginny sniffed and buried her head in his shoulder. "Gin… what happened after I left? Where are Fred and George?"
The girl shook her head and backed up a few steps. "Charlie got back a few minutes after you were gone. He understood what happened and yelled at mum. Then he took the twins with him. We haven't heard from them, Bill, or Charlie himself since."
"What about dad?" Ron asked.
"Still gone. Ron… what happened to you? Why do you look-"
"Questions will have to wait." Ron shook his head. "Looks like Draco's dad is going over to mum."
Draco sighed. "I'll handle it, but it won't be pretty. You get out of here."
Ginny shook her head and grabbed Rons hand. "Where will you go?"
"The train platform." Ron nodded. "I've got my ticket for when it leaves. I'll see you both there."
Draco winced. "A lot of the purebloods don't like seeing abandoned kids there. Be careful, okay?"
Ron nodded. "Don't you worry about me. Gin, I hope to see you in Gryffindor, though you'd be good in any house." With a wink at Draco he added. "And don't believe what you hear about Slytherins. They're alright."
Draco huffed and rolled his eyes. "Ponce…"
"What was that? Oh no, now she's crying."
Draco huffed and walked away to get his father away from Molly Weasley. "See you at school Ronald."
"Bye Draco!"
"Ron…"
The boy's eyes softened as he patted his sister on the head. "Hey, you're gonna be great. I'll still be there, okay? Just not as close as before."
Ginny nodded and Ron gave her one last ruffle of the hair. "I'll see you at school, Gin."
The little witch watched as her brother snuck towards the door, before ducking out and dashing down the alley.
"Bye Ron…"

Like I said, a little bit of politics. A sweet reunion which was NOT told to you guys in the authors note. I hope it was okay, this is basically the final cooldown before Hogwarts.
Next chapter is the last one before school! Which means its time for the train ride!
We get to bring Despereaux back, see some other characters like Neville. And we finally get to bring Hermione back in.
Hm. I wonder what will happen.
As always, leave a review. Sorry for any typos, and until next time
Adios.
