Summary:
It's Halloween season at Night Raven College and the entire campus is hopping with excitement and competitive spirits as dorms figure out what their themes will be that year. However, something unexpected happens: Head Mage Crowley calls a school wide assembly.
The students at Night Raven College have been invited to a school social event that will be held at Nobel Bell Academy in Fleur City! The Masquerade. It's a perfect opportunity for several different students within the academy, including Aster Merel and his friends. However, attendees will be decided via random drawing.
In a bit of an unusual circumstance, Aster still winds up going with his fellow school mates and friends to Fleur City with Professor Trein as their chaperon. Three days and two nights at a whole new place leaves many options available to them. And yet, Aster feels a foreboding in his gut weeks before they leave for the city. What could it possibly be trying to tell him?
When they arrive in Fleur City, they are met with the sound of bells ringing as the streets come alive with its yearly festival. They learn about entirely new stories and cultures, and it's been exciting. They meet new characters and one in particular, Student Council President Rollo, who provides as their guide that Aster finds himself befriending.
But it's more than just fun and games in Fleur City. A sinister plot is unfolding at Nobel Bell Academy and the students of several arcane academies are being drawn into the middle of things. Can the students of Night Raven College manage to save the day? Can they discover what would lead to such a plot? And will more of Aster's memories return in this new place enriched with history and tragedy?
