Chapter 1 Truth in Legend
At the heart of every legend there is truth.
At the center of every fantasy lies reality.
And at the center of hope lies a hero.
That is the truth of reality.
As times passes by history is all but forgotten.
The Legends of heroes sung fades to memory.
The Battles of legendary heroes becomes myth
The tales of folklore become fantasy.
In the ages long since past the world has long forgotten it's old heroes and legends.
Magic replaced by technology.
History replaced by fantasy.
Heroes made myths.
But nothing ever truly stays that way forever.
As the world is about to realize.
A new hero like the days of old...Has awakened.
Present time
We find Wonder Woman patrolling a city she was known to be in the most.
Thats when she found a building burning.
"Wonder Woman to watch Tower. I got a burning building here. It looks like there are still some people inside." Wonder Woman said.
"Copy that. We're on our way." Lantern said.
"FO-KRAH-DIIN!" A voice shouted shocking her as a wall of ice hit the building taking the fire out easily.
"Great Hera!" Wonder Woman said in shock before looking down seeing a man in robes holding some staff before jumping away.
Thats when Lantern and Flash arrived.
"Whoa! I knew you could be cold but not that cold." Flash joked making her frown at him. "I was just kidding." Flash said holding up his hands.
"I didn't even do this." Wonder Woman said.
"Who did?" Lantern asked.
"I don't know. Some man who shouted some strange language and did this." Wonder Woman said before Batman and Superman arrived.
"Wow." Superman said.
"Any idea who did this?" Batman asked.
"None. All I know is he shouted something strange." Diana said.
Meanwhile
A group of low ranking Meta's were knocked down as a man stood above them with some golden sword covered in blood.
"Hmph. Not exactly high and mighty now are we?"
"Who...Are you?" One asked still conscience.
None were actually dead but knocked out while bleeding but would live.
"Dovahkiin" He said before leaving them.
Later
Flash had arrived at STAR Labs after hearing about the attack.
"This guy is one messed up Meta." Cisco said.
"I don't think he's a Meta. He didn't really show any signs of Dark Mater." Caitlin said.
"I got a recording of what happened to the building." Flash said playing it before the shout was heard.
"Wait...Where have I heard that before?" Cisco asked playing it again.
"FO-KRAH-DIIN!"
"I know I've heard that before somewhere." Cisco said.
"Maybe one of your fantasy dates." Joe joked making him laugh a bit before frowning.
"Fantasy...Oh my god." Cisco said pulling something up.
"What are you doing?" Ralph asked before an image appeared.
"Skyrim? I haven't played that in years." Wally said.
"Listen to this." Cisco said pulling up an old game file before playing a shout that sounded exactly the same as the one on the recording.
"Thats exactly the same." Wells said surprised.
"You don't actually think this game is based on something real...Do you?" Caitlin asked.
"Maybe. I mean it's too coincidental to ignore." Cisco said.
"I'll bring this up with the others." Flash said leaving.
Later
"Skyrim?" Lantern asked as Flash played the recording and Cisco's game play.
"Those shouts are exactly what I heard the other day." Wonder Woman said.
"Oh come on. This is a game. Clearly it's just some Meta Human who's messing with our heads." Lantern said.
"Don't be so sure." Batman said.
"What?" Lantern asked skeptical.
"After all I've seen plenty of things that most would write off as fantasy. Only for it to be truth." Batman said.
"And Fate has seen things that people made up in stories to be real in the past." Superman said.
"Life is full of surprises." Hawkgirl said.
"Ok...Lets just say that this game is based on something real. And thats a very Big IF. How are we supposed to find this guy." Lantern asked.
"What is the name of this hero in the game?" Wonder Woman asked.
"He's called the Dragon born." Flash said making her raise an eyebrow.
"I think it's more based on truth than you might think." Wonder Woman said.
"Meaning?" Hawkgirl asked.
"My mother once told me legends of heroic warriors of the past who had the blood of the ancient dragons. They were called Dragonborn. But no one has mentioned it since the fall of the last one over 3,000 years ago." Wonder Woman said.
"Then maybe whoever this is must be a descendant of the last one." J'onn said.
Lantern frowned before leaving.
"Where you going?" Flash asked.
"I know someone who can give me a more straight answer." Lantern said.
Meanwhile
Out in some estate out in the forest was a man at the age of 18 who was outside by a pool.
He had white skin with brown hair and forest green eyes with a large muscle build to him as he relaxed reading a book.
"You always just read when I see ya." Lantern said making him smirk looking up seeing him grinning.
"I like reading. It's educational and holds secrets of the past. Whats up old man? You usually don't come by unannounced unless you need something."
"What? I need a reason to see my old General's son?" Lantern asked making him laugh.
This was Sean Joseph Ashburn Kruger. He was the son of Stewart's old Commanding Officer Tom Kruger who he was close to.
"Nope. Whats up?" Sean asked as he flew down.
"I need some advice. On this." John said showing the Skyrim game.
"I didn't take you as a gamer." Sean said.
"Real funny. No. Recently the League and I have encountered someone who's using exact abilities in this game. That can't be real...Can it?" John asked.
"You never really were one to believe something most would brush off unless you saw it with your own eyes." Sean said.
"You know history more than anyone I know. What do you think?" Lantern asked.
"History can be recorded but it doesn't mean everyone will believe the stories completely. What one sees as Fantasy could be truth. This game is based on an ere long since forgotten. Could there be truth to it? Yes. Absolute truth? No one but the person who wrote down the story could know. The game itself could be based on true events but exaggerated for profit. Thats how these game work." Sean said.
"True." Lantern said
"Now if someone does actually have these abilities...It could mean someone did their homework on that era and decided to make a game based on it. And now someone has discovered the truth about it and unlocked those abilities and is trying to be a hero." Sean said.
"What about a Villian?" Lantern asked.
"There were plenty of Villains in the game. But some of those villains depends solely on our perspective." Sean said.
"Fairy point." Lantern said.
"Now as to whoever he or she is...Thats yet to be determined." Sean said.
Later
"Well?" Batman asked.
"I'm convinced we need to find this guy and find out who he is." Lantern said.
Thats when an Alert came up making them look on the screen seeing Parasite fighting a man in robes.
"I think we just found him." Flash said.
Meanwhile
The Dragonborn dodged all of Parasites attacks.
"You can't evade me forever punk!" Parasite yelled.
"FUS-RO-DAH!" Dragonborn shouted sending him crashing into a wall hard making him groan in pain.
"Ow." Parasite said.
"Yeah like you can actually do anything to me little Rudy." Dragonborn said amused.
"NEVER CALL ME THAT AGAIN!" Parasite roared lunging at him.
"FEIM-ZII-GRON!" Dragonborn shouted as he became see through as he passed through him.
"HUH?" Parasite said in total confusion as he crashed down hard as he became visible again.
Thats when he pulled out some green sword from thin air holding it in two hands.
"Shall we finish this now?" Dragonborn asked making him roar charging at him.
Only to get punched down hard by Superman knocking him out.
"Nice work." Superman said impressed making him grin as his sword vanished.
"I'm still new at this but I'm learning." Dragonborn said about to leave.
"Hold it." Lantern said stopping him.
"Do we have some kind of problem?" Dragonborn asked.
"Your powers are exactly like in the game of Skyrim. How?" Lantern asked.
"Because the game is based on true events that happened long ago. One of my ancestors kept a journal about the days of Skyrim and it's inhabitants and it's legends." Dragonborn said.
"Where is this Journal?" Batman asked as the others arrived.
"Thats for me to know." Dragonborn said leaving in a purple sphere.
"We need to find out who he is." Lantern said.
"Why? He's no enemy of ours." Wonder Woman said.
"Not yet. I saw that look on his face. He was gonna kill him." Lantern said.
"Look I'm not ok with killing period unless it's done by the law. However he also had chances to kill before but didn't so that makes me believe he'll only kill certain people like Parasite or Joker." Superman said.
"Be that it may we need to know more." Batman said.
Later
Dragonborn as on top of a building in Gotham city in the rain as he looked down on the city.
"Here to give me some lecture?" Dragonborn asked knowing Batman was behind him.
"Your good." Batman said walking to him.
"I may be new but I had training before hand to know when something is amiss or when someone is behind me." Dragonborn said.
"Military training?" Batman asked.
"Something like that." Dragonborn said.
"So why were you prepared to kill Parasite?" Batman asked.
"He can ruin lives in many ways with his abilities. For example. I know he can absorb memories of people not just powers. So he could use that information to get into their personal lives. Bank accounts, Secrets that aren't his to share and blackmail them. Thats why." Dragonborn said.
Now while Batman was beyond against killing people he couldn't argue his logic. If Parasite ever touched him he could expose his real identity to the public or blackmail him for money.
"But you won't kill just anyone." Batman said.
"No. I'll only kill those who actually are beyond redemption." Dragonborn said before an explosion went off making them look seeing Joker robbing a bank. "Like him." Dragonborn said jumping down to him.
Joker laughed as he shot at the Bank.
Only to yell as an arrow pierced his leg.
"A man once said he used to be an adventurer till he took an arrow in the knee." Dragonlord said amused.
"GRRR!" Joker growled shooting at him before he made some black shield appear making them bounce off as a few hit him in the arms making him cry out in pain.
"Damn." Dragonborn said looking at the Shield. "I knew Ebony was strong but not strong." Dragonborn said jumping down to him.
"I don't know who you are punk but mark my words Batman will make you pay." Joker said as Said Dark knight jumped down. "Batman! This kid is crazy! He shot me everywhere." Joker sobbed making Dragonborn sweat drop.
"Dude he was right above us when it happened." Dragonborn said making him groan as Batman cuffed him.
"Pudding! Harley said charging in but he aimed his bow and arrow at them.
"Ok you seriously need to drop this crap between you two." Dragonborn said.
"But he's my sweetie." Harley said.
"When?" Dragonborn questioned confusing her. "Name one time he's ever been nice to you in a moment of your love. Name one." Dragonborn said making her think hard on that.
"DON'T LISTEN TO HIM YOU TRAMP! KILL HIM!" Joker yelled before screaming as he was shot in the foot by him.
"Well?" Dragonborn asked as she dropped to her knees not having an answer.
"YOU BITCH!" Joker screamed.
"Will you please shut him up?" Dragonborn asked if not begged.
"Gladly." Batman said stomping on his face knocking him out.
"Now then." Dragonborn said as he grabbed Harley before both vanished in a purple sphere.
Thats when the Police arrived.
"Wheres the new guy?" Gordon asked.
"Kid's got style." Batman said impressed.
Meanwhile
Harley blinked seeing a huge area full of weapons and armor and relics.
"Impressive isn't it." Dragonborn asked
"Where did you get all this?" Harley asked looking at some huge hammer that had a glowing center.
"My ancestor locked this place away before he passed on. However a descendent of his wrote down everything and kept in a secret place and used magic to perfectly preserve it. And only those of his blood could access this armory. I found out 5 years ago and found this place." Dragonborn said.
"So why am I here?" Harley asked.
"To give you a new start. Obviously not everyone will be so forgiving of your past so obviously you need to start a new. This place is where you can live in peace." Dragonborn said as they walked outside seeing they were on some island in the middle of nowhere showing a large castle that had been modernized. "The island is shrouded by magic and only those who I can trust can see it." Dragonborn said.
"And whats to stop me from leaving?" Harley asked.
"First I know you won't since you clearly want to live in peace now. And while you can you can't take anything with you since it would just return here due to another spell." Dragonborn said making her smirk.
"Sounds like your Great Great Grandpa was really smart." Harley said.
"Aye. Now if you'll excuse me." Dragonborn said leaving the same way he arrived.
Walking inside she found a nice big bath area making her smile as she figured it could be worse.
Later
Dragonborn was on top of a building in DC.
Only for a green sphere to wrap around him much to his surprise.
"Ok kid thats enough." Lantern said.
"What is this about?" Dragonborn asked.
"You need to give us straight answers and no more riddles. You can't just go around fighting crime the way you do." Lantern said.
"Thats amusing coming from a group of people who don't work for the government doing the same." Dragonborn said making him frown at that remark.
"Let him go." Batman said appearing.
"Not till we get a straight answer. Who are you?" Lantern asked before he pulled out some potion and drank it before becoming transparent and walked out of his bubble. "How'd you?" Lantern asked as he became normal again.
"If your wanting answers your not gonna get them by brute force. You have to earn my trust before that and considering that stunt you just pulled forget it." Dragonborn said vanishing.
"What was that about?" Hawkgirl asked Lantern with a frown.
"Look we need to know who he is." Lantern said.
"And we all know who each other are?" Batman asked making him frown at that.
"Look we can't just impose our will on others without knowing them first." Superman said.
"Look that kid is clearly dangerous." Lantern said.
"Dangerous to who? You?" Wonder Woman asked making him frown as he left.
Meanwhile
Sean was back at his estate by the pool again.
"Your in a sour mood." Sean said as Lantern flew down.
"I need more answers on that Dragonborn." Lantern said.
"So you can arrest him? I saw on the news." Sean said making him frown. "Whats your real issue?" Sean asked.
"That guy is dangerous. If people find out how he does what he does who's to say others won't follow him?" Lantern said.
"I think in truth you fear what you don't understand. And that fear turns to hatred. I ain't telling you anything more till you sort this shit out." Sean said making him frown before leaving.
"Sean?"
Sean looked seeing a woman with short red hair white skin and brown eyes by the door in only a robe. She also had very large breasts and a bubble butt.
"Whats wrong?"
"Nothing Ysolda. Just a friend who's got issues." Sean said walking inside.
Author's note: I've been wanting to do this for years. Skyrim to this day is still one of the very best games around. I've beaten the game three times over and the new updates made me wanna continue playing it. Now I am planning a large update so for now you all will have to wait till it's ready so be patient.
