The Spectrum Wars: Space Oddity (Part 1):

It was a fine day for earth as many fallen reach ships were being confiscated and dismantled by the US government and the Green Lantern Corps. Most of the ships fell onto the ocean but thanks to Aquaman's Atlantis army they confiscated the ship and hands it over to the Corps. So far, no alien technology was seen on earth as the GL Corps confiscated all of them.

Well actually most of them there are some that were confiscated by US Agencies like the DEO, an alien response division. What do you expect from the government wanting to use pieces of alien tech to re-engineer weapons and technologies (how do you think touch screen pads were made?). The earth has been invaded by aliens lots of times its bound to happen but that is not the focus of this chapter, as we go to the Justice League's Fortress of Solitude where members of the Green Lantern Corps as well as many Justice League members and Teen Titans gathered along with the crowd with Superman giving a speech. It was a heartfelt speech about how proud he is that everyone on earth did a great job stopping the invasion. There were medals given by the President, who would later give a speech of his own, thanking the League and the Green Lanterns for stopping the invasion.

Later, at Mogo, the Green Lanterns came to the living planet to celebrate their own victory. They've defeated The Reach as many drinks were served; many have drinking contests to see who can pass out the most. Invited to the party was the Titans who couldn't pass a chance to party with the Lanterns.

"So, this drink is from a nebula cloud of alcohol...in space!?" Guy asked looking at the bottle of purple liquid.

"Believe it, poozer!" Kilowog responds as he gives a challenging grin "Bet you can't hold on to 6500 lightyears of alcohol at the W3 region."

"Challenge accepted, dirt breath!" Guy accepts as he poured himself a drink in his shot glass.

"He's not going to hold it, is he?" Garfield asked with a chuckle seeing Guy take the shot of the alcohol, and then pass out on the floor. "Ye'up."

"The Poozer can't handle his booze!" Kilawog bellowed as he, Beastly and Hal join in a quick laugh at the fairly new Lantern's expense.

"I'm sure you couldn't when you first tried. I know I couldn't." Beastly joked as he took a shot and the huge Lantern chuckled with him.

"You handled pretty well." Kilowog smacked him on his back. "You at least stood for two seconds before you passed out onto Sinestro's feet."

"Yeah." Beastly chuckled, but felt a pang in his heart at the mention of the once elite Green Lantern. "I strangely enough remember that."

"Yeah, good times." Kilowog replied as the Lanterns around them who knew the one Lantern best grew somber.

"The best." Beastly quietly add.

"Yo, squirt." spoke Ch'p as Beastly looks at the squirrel Lantern handing him a drink "Let's not worry about the past. One of your mates calls up to you for a chat."

"Which one?" He asked as Ch'p points to Iolande and Soronik. "Be right back, guys." he said as he walked towards Iolande and Soronik. "Hey ladies, having a good time?"

"You bet, Gar." Soranik smiled as she and Iolande pecked him in the cheek as they both grabbed his arms.

"Whoa! Where are you taking me?" he asked them.

"We found a private cave just for us!" Iolande told him with a coy smile.

"Along with the others." Soranik states as Garfield knew what she meant.

'Best. Day. Ever!' he thought as he smiled at the relaxation with his lady friends.

In a cave where far beneath its Starfire, Raven, Ravager, Arisia, Katma, Laria and even Wonder Girl were at the cave, waiting for Soranik and Iolande bring Garfield to the cave.

"Once we get Garfield in, he'll make us totally satisfied ladies." Ravager said as she eats some chips.

"Wonder who will go first?" Laira asked with a smirk. "Donna, this is a good time to finally confess your love to him."

Donna blushed as she fantasizes about dating Garfield and having her first time with her. It was something she dreams about until the image of her sister comes in and tears Garfield in half, ending her fantasy.

"I hope he likes me back." She said with a sigh. 'I don't care if my sister disapproves, I want to get in on this! With Gar.'

"I think I see them!" Star said as she sees their two friends with Garfield, heading down to the cave.

"Looks like they have started without you." Raven deadpanned as she read her book.

"Mate Garfield's face is covered with lipstick." Starfire noted to the other girls.

"Lucky bitches, got to him first." Rose muttered. "I knew I should have gone with when they asked who will get him."

"Too late now." Raven replied as she turned a page in her book.

Soronik and Iolande make it to the cave with Garfield in their hands. They threw him up as they let go of his arms, making him give a slight panic as he crashed onto Wonder Girl.

"Whoops." Soronik said innocently.

"Are you two alright?" Arisia asked, seeing Garfield on top of Wonder Girl, as both were blushing madly.

"Uh...hi Donna." Garfield mumbled awkwardly as he looked into Donna's eyes as well as her ruby lips. He forgot how pretty she was when he first met her, and now he looks at her beautiful face as their noses touch each other's.

What surprised Garfield the most is that Donna presses her lips onto his as her hands brings him close by holding onto his head. It was as if something out of a romance movie Donna had seen once as she gave Gar a good long kiss. She releases him to get some air as Gar was too star struck.

"Wow." he said in shock and awe "Soooo you've had a crush on me this whole time?"

"Yes!" Donna shouts as the two get up. "Garfield, I've always loved you and wanted to be with you, as you are always a great guy to look up to. I've always wanted to date you, but my sister would never allow me to date."

"Oh man, that's a relief." he said as Donna looked at him "I mean, not the whole "not allowed to date" thing, but to tell you the truth Donna, I kind of had a crush on you before." He admits making Donna, and everyone else, look surprised that he already liked Donna before but wondered why he didn't ask her out.

"Really?!" she asked "Then why didn't you say so!?"

"Two reasons." he said as he began "One: Diana will kill me if she sees me flirting with you," Donna gave an understanding look as she curse her older sister "and two: I thought that you wouldn't agree to join or like me that way since I thought you would be a bigger feminist like your sister. I thought you would rip my asteroids off if I asked you out."

'Asteroids?' Donna thought as she realized what he was referring to "Oh Gar, I would never do that to you." she said as she playfully hit his shoulder. "And don't worry about my older sister, we can keep our relationship a secret from her if we have to."

'I don't see this working too well for me, but hey, I don't give a damn.' Garfield thought as he smiled at the dark-haired girl. "Then we'll keep it a secret."

"Glorious! Now we may all mate with Mate Garfield!" Starfire exclaimed as she hovered in the air and smiled brightly.

"I like what she thinks." Laira said with a smirk, seeing Star pushed Beastly down to the floor as she straddles him.

"I'll just read." Raven deadpanned as she turned another page and secretly glanced over to see her best friend had their boyfriend on his back, and her legs were securely around his hips, and their waists were touching one another.

"Come on, Friend Raven! Mate with Mate Garfield and I!" Starfire exclaimed as she gave a little grind of her hips, and they all heard him groan.

"I think I'll sit this out." Raven replied as she repressed her emotions. "But you girls continue without me."

"If that will make you happy, Friend Raven." Starfire responded before she bent over her boyfriend and liked him, from his jaw to his ear.

Raven was about to say that she wasn't happy, but a certain white-haired girl cut her off.

"Everybody has their own kinks. If you like to watch, you like to watch." Rose joked as the changeling withered in pleasure underneath his alien girlfriend and her long and wet tongue.

"I-I don't think I can watch." Raven said as she continues to read her book, while sneaking a peek at Garfield and Starfire making out with each other while groping each other's bodies. She wouldn't admit it, but she's turned on by this. 'I just had to be a half-demon, don't I?' she thought as even though she can feel her emotions freely, she still feels awkward about it.

"Hey, you know a trick we can do with our suits?" Katma asked as Raven saw her, Arisia, Soronik, Laira, and Iolande transform their suits into different and sexy outfits. Arisia wears a short skirted nurse outfit that shows her cleavage and barely covers her panties, Soronik wears a long green kimono with two slits on her skirt and exposed cleavage, Katma is dressed in a slave Leia outfit fitting for her shapely body, Laira is dressed as a sexy office lady with exposed chest and dangerously short skirt, and Iolande wears a red one piece lifeguard swimsuit with a V-shaped line that shows her cleavage.

"When did ya learn that?" Ravager asked in amusement.

"We've seen your planet's website through an interstellar feed, they have these kinds of outfits and we thought if this can please Gar." Laira replied with a mighty smirk as they hear Star moans when Gar plants kiss on her chest to her naval, while squeezing her butt.

Starfire shivers by his touch as his fingers went through the bottom of her leotard as he pinches her shapely butt. Star lets out moans as Ravager steps in to rub her breasts from behind while Gar licks her orange stomach. Star felt the sensation of Ravager's hands groping her as Gar licks her down.

"Friend Rose...whaaaat are you-Ahhh!" Star moans feeling Gar's tongue licking further down.

"Thought I can join in." she replied as she sees Gar slide his tongue up on Star as he nibbles on her neck. Rose tilts her head to bite his ear while he kisses Star's neck. This is starting to turn into a three way.

Soronik and Katma join in as Gar lets go of Star, making her whimper. Rose lay Star down as the two Lantern girls bring Gar to them. "Woah, nice outfits." he comments.

"All for pleasure." Katma replied as she and Soronik straddled above his thighs, as they proceeded to plant kisses onto him for his pleasure. Garfield wraps his arms around their wastes as he gropes their tight butts making them squeal in pleasure.

"Best celebration we've ever had." Laira states as she watches the two Lantern girls giving Gar the best threesome as she walks in to join them.

A week later after the celebration, and the wonderful group sex Garfield had with the girls, except for Raven and Wonder Girl who watched, all the Lanterns returned to the newly restored Oa.

The emerald planet has been restored to its glory after the Sinestro Corps attack, as all the Green Lantern Corps members went and go to guard their sectors and gave mission controls.

"It's good to be back home in Oa." Garfield states as he's at the halls of the honored Lanterns along with the other Lanterns.

"Yep, the good old emerald buildings are restored." Kilowag responded.

"But there is much more than the damage of our headquarters." Katma replied "More Lanterns came in and we have to train them all. The Yellow Lanterns and the Red Lanterns are still on the loose, but their faces haven't been shown since."

"Then we'll just have to get more stronger." Kilowag suggests Garfield thought about getting stronger, as well as beating the Sinestro Corps including Slade. The thought of Slade gave him an uneasy feeling of anger.

'Next time, I will defeat Slade and end his miserable life!' Gar thought as his thoughts were put to halt as a red light appeared in the sky. "What is...that?"

The other Lanterns look up to see the red light that looks like it's coming towards them "That's no shooting star or meteor shower." Katma states as John constructs a telescope to see what it is. He frowns as he turns to his comrades.

"Get all Lanterns in position!" John told them "A Red Lantern is heading down to Oa."

"What? Who?" Gar asked thinking it could be either Adonis or that Atrocitus guy.

"Don't know, but all I see is one." John told him all the Green Lanterns were prepared to fight and defend Oa.

Razer flew down to Oa as he saw many Green Lanterns flying up towards him 'It's expected.' he thought as he shields himself from many green shots coming towards him. He continues to fly down to Oa, passing by the other Green Lanterns as he flew on top of a emerald tower.

"You!" shouted a voice as Razer looked back to see Garfield along with Katma and Kilowag.

"You know this poozer, Logan?" Kilowag asked.

"He's the guy I encountered when me and the Titans were chasing down Blackfire when she had the orange ring!" he responds as he constructs a pair of claw gauntlets.

"Wait!" Razer raises his hands up before the Green Lanterns can shoot "I came on my own, I do not have interest in destroying you!"

"Likely story, poozer." Kilowag said as all the Lanterns raise their rings aiming at the white skinned Red Lantern.

"You expect us to believe that a rage-aholic Lantern can be trusted." Guy asked.

"You want me to prove that I am not like the Reds, then I guess I'll prove it then." Razer said as he took off his ring, revealing himself to wear a black robe suit. "I am Razer of the planet Volkreg, and I have come to ally with you all."

The other GL Corps members were confused as the holographic image of the Guardians appeared above, giving a message to all Lanterns.

"Bring the intruder to the central arena." the Guardian orders. "If he has something to say, then he will say it to us if he wants us to gain our trust. He shall turn over his red ring if he wishes to ally with us."

Razer shows no emotion as he hands his ring to Garfield. The changeling gave him a strange and suspecting look as he said, "Don't think you can do anything without the ring."

"Understandable." Razer said as his wrists and ankles are cuffed by Guy's constructs including a muzzle "Is this really necessary?"

"Can't be too careful, punk." Guy responds as they flew with Razer as the other Lanterns follow.

'For once, I actually agree to Gardner.' Garfield thought as follows.

Razer stood in front of the Guardians, with his ring confiscated and bound in green chains by the other Lanterns. All he could give was a grim expression.

"We've never seen a Volkregian in a long time, since they're in the Forgotten Zone." the female Guardian, Sayd.

"Volkreg is known for its political background and law enforcement." Appa states with his fellow Guardians "From his clothing he's one of the royal guards; a soldier ready for war."

"But the real question is why did he come here? Were you sent, young Red Lantern?" Scar, the Guardian with a scar in his right eye asked.

"I came here on my own terms." Razer said as he looks at the Guardians "I came to give you everything I know about the Red Lanterns and what they're planning." This shocked the other GL Corps as well as the Guardians who never realized the Red Lantern would be sold out his Corps, except for Garfield.

'If Sinestro can betray the GL Corps, it's not surprising that this guy is willing to.' Gar thought.

"Why would you betray the Reds?" Hal asked Razer.

"Because I will not follow by a Lantern Corps lead by the same monster who caused a terrible war at my planet!" Razer shouts at them as he snarls "The reason I became a Red Lantern was due to the loss of my wife during that terrible war. The only reason I'm never as angry or lose control of it is because I have learned to control and channel my anger for a long time when I became a Red Lantern. For the months I've been with the Red Lanterns, I've been plotting my revenge on Atrocitus, the leader of the Reds, by gaining his trust and learning their secrets. All I ask is for you all to help me take him down."

"But why the GL Corps?" Appa asked him.

"You all have a vendetta against the Sinestro Corps, right? From what I've heard they've teamed up with the Red Lanterns. I knew it would be a moment of time that I should find you all as allies, and soon with your powers, we can triumph over them and take down Atroticus and I can avenge my wife and the people of my planet!"

"This is quite the situation." Appa stated as he stroked his chin.

"I agree, but what should we do?" Sayd asked as the other Guardians talked among themselves.

"I say we go for it!" Garfield stated as all the Lanterns, Guardians and Razer turned to look at him in surprise.

"Really?" Razer responded in shock.

"Totally! I say he deserves this chance, and he does seem different from any other Red Lantern we've heard about, so why not give him this one chance." Garfield added as he gave the alien a thumbs up. "Everybody should be given a little trust."

"I don't like it." Kilawog snorted. "But if the little guy wants to be held responsible for the poozer's every action, then let it be."

"I'll take that responsibility." Garfield complied.

"Very well, Razer will be under your watch, Green Lantern Garfield Logan." the Guardians said as they dismissed the meeting.

"How can you trust my words, Green Lantern Logan?" Razer asked wondering what the green skinned Lantern thinks, as well as the other Lanterns.

"Well, you could've attacked us when you had the chance." Garfield said, "You willingly surrender yourself to us and you were telling the truth since I can hear your heart beats with my enhanced hearing."

"That's Garfield for ya, with his pointy ears he can hear even a march of ants." Hal states as he crosses his arms.

"Even so, how can we trust him?" Laira asked with suspicion.

"We'll just have to for now, but if you even think about betraying us Razer, then you'll have to deal with me." Gar warns the pale Red Lantern.

"Wise choice, Lantern." Razer told him as he nodded "Your eyes speak of that you've all been betrayed by someone close." all of the Green Lanterns said nothing but G'Nort spoke.

"So, what's this Forgotten Zone the Guardians mentioned?" G'Nort asked as Soronik checks her ring for information on the Forgotten Zone.

"The Forgotten Zone, space sector 666." she reads the information on the space sector from her ring. "Located in the maelstrom at the Guardians Sector. Abandoned after the Manhunter massacre."

"Wait, isn't that sector Frontier space?" Garfield asked as Razer scoffs.

"This sector is neither a frontier, but more of a planetary graveyard." Razer told them "Atroticus has mentioned the Manhunters during his propaganda preachings. I've heard that they were only legends and are mainly responsible for the destruction of life and planets in the sector. Yet their origins are a mystery. Since then, the Red Lanterns have used the sector as their base of operations."

"None of our rings say any information about the Manhunters." Kilowag told.

"And I don't think it meant that Martian friend of yours." Ch'p states.

"Then we'll have to ask the Guardians about them!" Gar suggests "They know everything there is to know about what these Manhunters are."

"You go ahead and ask them; I'm going back to earth." Hal said as he flew away from the group leaving them confused.

"What was that all about?" Gar asked.

"I think he's missing his girlfriend, Gar." Soronik answered "Don't forget that she became one of the Star Sapphires."

"Oh, I see." Gar said he felt bad for his oldest friend who tried to find his missing girlfriend.

'Where are you, Carol?' Hal thought as he headed out of Oa.

Later, Garfield was heading towards the council of the Guardians to ask them about the Manhunters. His ring doesn't give in more information about the Manhunters so he would ask the blue wise men about them. As he heads down to the corridors and saw the door to their meeting room, he was about to knock until he heard them speak. Curious, he eavesdrops on hearing their conversation.

"Atroticus must be stopped." Scar spoke to the Guardians.

"And how do you expect that? You know his hatred will be the death to us." The female guardian responds as they all started to argue.

"Calm down you all." Appai orders "This is to be expected. Atroticus wanted vengeance as he blames us for what we have done."

"It was an unfortunate error." The logical sounding Guardian said "The Manhunters were loose cannons. They've wiped out Atroticus's species and must be shut down. It is their fault for the slaughter on space sector 666." His words made Garfield's eyes widen in shock as he continued to overhear them.

"The blood of their lives are in our hands, Broome." Appai told as they've sense someone at the door, making the oldest guardian sigh "Lantern Logan has overheard us."

"Forgive me for spying, but I came to ask about the Manhunters." Garfield stated as he stepped into view of the Guardians.

"So, you already know what you wanted to know." Broome commented to the green changeling and the other Guardians.

"Yes. But I don't understand how that happened. Garfield responded with a frown.

"Before we created the Green Lantern Corp, we created and used the Manhunters to keep order in the galaxy and hunt down any criminals." Lianna started.

"They did their job... but they did it too well." Sayd added with a sigh. "The Manhunters became so obsessed with their own mission that they ruthlessly hunted down any criminal and it even led to the destruction of Sector 666 and the elimination of Atroticus's people."

"Do the Manhunters still exist?" Garfield inquired.

"Not in this world. We've banished them into another dimension after we've shut them down. We erased everything about them and the forgotten zone from the corps records." The female guardians said.

"But shouldn't the others know about the truth?" Garfield asked them.

"You must understand, Garfield. We can't reveal to others what we have done." The oldest guardian said as Garfield scoffed.

"Why not? Are you afraid that they might distrust you or something? What happened in the past is the past!" He told them he couldn't believe how stubborn the guardians can be.

"The Manhunters are history, and it is meaningless to talk about it to the others." Scar retorts.

"We'll let me tell you big headed Smurfs one thing." Garfield growled at his bosses with a pissed off look "You will have to tell the GL Corps about your past history if you expect to trust them without keeping secrets! I'm not the kind of guy who can tell others someone's secret, but you're gonna must tell them or otherwise it'll blow your face!"

"Lantern Logan!" Scar shouts about giving the young lantern a warning but the animalistic lantern continued.

"How can you expect a Lantern to learn and respect you all if you keep secrets from them." Garfield whispered as he flew out of the meeting room leaving the distraught guardians.

"Leave him be." Appai spoke before the guardians could contact Garfield "The boy needs to cool himself down. We'll discuss his punishment later.

"Just one question though." Broome said "What's a... Smurf?"

He left Oa like a fleeing missile as the Beastly Lantern flew to earth. He needed to get away from Oa, away from everyone so he could go to the only place his parents' grave are. He was mad at the guardians for keeping a dark secret from the whole corps, and is worried about what kind of punishment he'll receive for yelling at them. But he didn't care though, all he wanted was some space.

"Dammit!" He cursed as he made it to earth as he heads down to the African continent. Once he went to his parents' grave, he kneels in front of them, "I don't know what's going on anymore." I've been betrayed, seen friends get killed, get my ass kicked. What the hell am I supposed to do Mom!? Dad!?" He cried to the tombstones in front of them.

"Crying over mommy and daddy? God you're pathetic." Spoke a venomous voice as Garfield's eyes widened as he turns around to see Slade, standing beside a tree with his arms crossed.

"You!" Garfield growled as he charged at the mercenary. Slade uses his yellow ring to construct a hand to grab Garfield and throws him down to the ground. Garfield then changes into a rhino with green constructed armor to charge Slade with his horn full front. Slade constructed a yellow shield to block the horn, but the horn shattered the shield forcing him to dodge.

"Temper, temper." Slade whispered eerily as he constructed a hammer to slam against the green rhino. The rhino changes into a falcon as the falcon changes into the Beastly Lantern. Gar growled in anger as he glared hate towards Slade. "Don't give me those eyes, boy. Those eyes aren't worth a glare towards me."

"You'll pay for what you've done!" he cried out in anger as his eyes glowed red as he chased after the mercenary. With his constructed claws he's about to slash at Slade who only dodges his attacks, but the claw teared his yellow armor leaving a scratch.

"Ah, that's it. Get angry." Slade chuckled silently as Beastly charged towards him again like a mad bull. However, the green skinned Lantern didn't realize that Slade constructed a knife as he dodged him, proceeding to stab Beastly by the thigh.

"YAH!" Beastly screams as Slade pulls out the knife as he stabs Beastly in the shoulder with another constructed knife. The changeling screamed in pain, getting stabbed was the least of his worries. 'He is so dead when I'm done with him.' he thought darkly as he was about to get up but stopped when something hit him in the back...

...and through his chest.

Garfield's pupils shrank as everything stopped in motion. The world around him starts to go bleak as he turns his head down. To his horror, a yellow sword pierced through his chest where the GL Corps logo is, just as he spat out blood.

"Let's see how you can survive this, Logan." Slade whispered from behind as he retraces the blade from Beastly's chest. The changeling Lantern then falls onto his knees, holding his bleeding chest as he tries to breathe "I was inches to your heart, but may have damaged your body severely."

"You...bastard." Garfield spat as he receives a kick in the face from the mercenary.

"Know your place, boy. Now you can die alone, and no one will save you." Slade told him as he flew off from his defeated opponent with a smirk of accomplishment underneath his mask.

Garfield threw up his own blood as he tried to stay alive, but to his avail he was starting to get dizzy. 'No... I can't die right now. I can't do this…to Kori…Arisia…Soronik…Rose…Donna…Iolande…Laira…Raven…Katma.' he thought as his eyes became blurry as soon as he bleeds out and lost color.

The last thing he ever saw was a pair of black boots in front of him as he looked up at the newcomer. A pale girl in gothic lolita clothing carrying a scythe looking down at him.

"Well, this is unfortunate." she said as she sighs "But I guess this will have to do."
