Lets get to it.
A few weeks passed, and it was now the last week of June. Alot has happened over the last few weeks. School was now out so summer vacation was underway. Lori had graduated high school. She would head to Fairway University when summer vacation was over. Lori had assured that she would still be able to lead the team even while she's at Fairway, so the heroes would keep their leader even if she was at college.
The Moon Goats and FIREBALL had a huge joint concert in Detroit. Tens of thousands came out to see them, and millions more watched it on live stream. Both bands were fast growing in popularity.
Finally, Luna had made good on her promise and she, Sam, Lincoln, and Jordan went on a one week vacation together, just the four of them. They actually went to a few destinations. Joey Rosato had been kind enough to loan them the Rosato jet, so the four of them were traveling in style. They went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Followed by Santa Barbara, California. Before going to Honolulu, Hawaii. Lincoln, Jordan, Luna, and Sam all spent two days at each location before flying to the next. The four of them had so much summer fun together. Whether it was at the beaches, going on double dates together, or Lincoln and Jordan having makeout sessions, while Luna and Sam had makeout sessions of their own. How were they able to afford their hotels and shopping? Easy. They used the money they've earned from their band gigs.
At the current moment, Lincoln, Jordan, Luna, and Sam were having a jam session in Luna's room. They had just got back from their vacation a few days ago, and it was safe to say that it had brought them closer. Lincoln and Jordan have had double dates with Luna and Sam throughout the vacation. Lincoln also loved seeing Jordan in her bikini, and Luna and Sam loved seeing each other in their bikinis. Lincoln and Sam now had a closer sibling-like bond than ever before, same with Luna and Jordan.
The four of them had just finished a song.
"That was rockin!" Luna cheered.
"You know it, babe." Sam agreed.
"The four of us sure know how to rock." Lincoln commented.
"We sure do." Jordan agreed.
LIncoln then kissed Jordan while Luna kissed Sam.
"That vacation the four of us had was awesome." Lincoln said.
"It was." Jordan agreed. "We should do those kinds of vacations again sometime."
"Perhaps we could make this a yearly thing." Luna suggested.
"I would love that." Sam replied.
"I would too." Lincoln followed up.
"So would I." Jordan finished.
The four of them were then enveloped in a group hug. Suddenly, Lincoln heard trouble.
"We got trouble near the Royal Woods Library." Lincoln said.
Lincoln, Jordan, Luna, and Sam then suited up and went to confront this threat.
The four heroes landed about 3,000 feet outside of the Royal Woods Library, and they saw some huge tank with a massive drill at the front drilling it's way out from underground.
Soon, a man emerged from the top of it. He had fair skin, brown hair, and he wore a construction uniform. He then took out a megaphone.
"I AM THE BURROWER!" He announced. "I AM GONNA DESTROY ALL BUILDINGS IN ROYAL WOODS. STARTING WITH THAT CURSED LIBRARY, WHO GAVE ME LATE FEES!"
The Burrower then went back inside the tank, and he started driving the tank at an incredible speed toward the library.
The four heroes acted fast. Night Club and Sonic Boom stopped the tank by lifting it into the air, Sungirl then ripped the drill off from the front, and Superboy broke through the tank and apprehended The Burrower.
Superboy the set the borrower down on the ground. He then tied him up with some chains he found inside the tank.
"Your days of destruction are over." He said.
A cop car then pulled up, and an officer came out. He was in his early 20s and had fair skin, black hair, he wore a police uniform, of course. His badge read his name, Justin J. Johnson. He immediately pulled out his gun.
"Freeze!" He ordered.
"No worries officer, we got him." Sungirl assured.
"I meant you four!" The officer said.
The four heroes were confused.
"What are you talking about, dude?" Night Club asked.
"You four are under arrest." Officer Justin said.
"For what, exactly?" Sonic Boom asked.
"For your vigilante acts!" Officer Justin answered. "I'll take you in first, Superboy."
"Officer, we are heroes." Superboy told him. "We're here to stop crime."
"That's what you want us to believe." Officer Justin responded. "But I know the truth. You and your loathsome team are just in it for yourselves. You freaks are menaces to society! You are always stealing the spotlight from the true officers of the law. You are doing the work that the police is suppose to do, and I won't stand for it.
Officer Justin then pointed his gun at Superboy.
"Ever since you showed up Superboy, the police force all over the world have had their work reduced!" Officer Justin continued. "We can't even take down criminals anymore, all we do is cuff them. You have ruined everything, Superboy! You are not involved with the police, so you have no business interfering!
The four heroes were shocked at this cop.
"Sorry you feel that way, Officer Justin." Superboy replied. "But I'm here to take crime off the streets and save people, as is the rest of the team."
"NOT ANYMORE!" Officer Justin yelled. "You have interfered with the police for the last time! So now, you are under arrest Superboy! Get down on the ground and put your hands behind your back!"
"That's not going to happen." Superboy said.
"Just leave, dude." Night Club told Justin while she, Sungirl, and Sonic Boom surrounded Superboy to defend him.
Then, more cop cars drove in. Out of one of them, the police chief stepped our. He had dark skin, black hair, was well built, and wore a police uniform.
Officer Justin turned to the chief.
"Chief, perfect timing." He said. "Now you and the other's can help me bring this menaces in."
The chief looked at Officer Justin J. Johnson crossly.
"I told you to leave your personal feelings out of the workplace!" The chief scolded. "You know every police force has welcomed Superboy and his team with open arms."
"WELL THEY SHOULDNT!" Officer Justin roared. "THEY ARE STEALING OUR SPOTLIGHT. IT IS OUR JOB TO TAKE DOWN EVIL, NOT SOME FREAK CHILD."
"That's enough, Justin!" The chief scolded. "You are to return to the station at once! Failure to comply will result in your termination!"
Officer Justin reluctantly walked back to his cruiser. Before he got in, he turned back toward the four heroes, he was mainly eyeing Superboy.
"This isn't over Superboy!" He vowed.
He then got in and drove back to the station.
The chief went over to the four heroes while more officers arrested The Burrower.
"Are you four ok?" The Chief asked.
"We're ok." Sonic Boom answered.
"I'm so sorry about that." The Chief said. "That was Officer Justin J. Johnson. He's a rookie in the field. Unfortunately he has openly said that he was against you all. But let me assure you, he does not speak for all of us. And he certainly doesn't speak for all policemen in the world. Ever since you showed up Superboy, crime has gone down. You and your team have truly made the world a better place."
Superboy smiled.
"Thank you, chief." He said.
Sungirl, Night Club, and Sonic Boom then thanked the chief as well. The chief smiled and nodded at them. Then with a loud boom, Superboy, Sungirl, Night Club, and Sonic Boom all took to the skies to see who else needed saving.
And so, a new problem for the heroes has arrived.
