Hello everyone I'm back once again to bring you another chapter of my story; if you are enjoying this story please keep on following me and my other stories. And sorry for the weird updateI'm using my phone for this. Now then with nothing else to say let's begin.
Sabaku no Kitsune: chapter 12
Suna floriculture farm
"Wow these flowers look so pretty" Kurumi said as she cut another stem off a flower "this is by far my favorite mission yet" she said.
Naruto scoffed as he put more fertilizer on a flower bed "maybe for you but this is humiliating for me" Naruto said "I've been on 2 A rank missions, and a S-Rank mission and now I'm back to D-Ranks" he said.
"I'm a chunin damn it" Temari said pulling another weed " I should be in the field not picking weeds for a damn flower farmer" she said.
"First mission I've been on in 15 years and it's a D-rank" Obito said behind his mask.
" Stop complaining you 3" Kurumi said "I've only been a ninja for a month and we need to work on team work; and D rank is how you do it" she said and all 3 of her teammates rolled their eyes.
'What a load of crap' Naruto thought.
'Her positivity is concerning' Temari thought.
'Was farming really so boring that she'd rather do D ranks' Obito thought.
All 4 members of team Tobi continued to work to complete their mission as 3 of the 4 cursed their luck.
Kazekage office: hours later
"Mission completed Lord Gaara" Kurumi said with a smile; Gaara nodded and looked at the team and saw them all grumpy and frowning.
"Good work everyone; you are dismissed for the day" Gaara said " you can come by tomorrow for your payment" he said and everyone nodded. Obito began to lead his team out of the Kazekage tower ready to head home.
"Man I thought that mission would never end" Temari said tired and bored " I can't wait to go home and relax" she said and Naruto looked at her.
"You can't Temari; we got plans later" Naruto said gaining her attention " remember you said you'd go and see the new 'princesses Gale' movie with me" he said and Temari went wide eyed and blushed.
'Crap that's right' Temari thought nervously 'I did promise him a while ago' she thought as she turned to him with a smile. "My bad Naruto I forgot; I'll get ready right away" she said and Naruto smiled.
"Cool it'll be great Temari; and afterwards we can get ice cream and stuff" Naruto said as he looked forward missing Temari's increasing blush.
'Ice cream too; oh man I'm getting nervous' Temari thought; just then Temari felt her sleeve get tugged and saw a smiling Kurumi.
"Want some help" Kurumi said.
Temari with steam about to come out of her ears nodded "yes" she said.
Uchiha house hold
Sango and Kurumi were sitting down with a nervous Temari; Temari was twiddling her thumbs as the nervousness was getting to her.
"Calm down darlin'" Sango said grabbing Temari's hands "you're gettin all nervous over nothin" she said and Temari shook her head.
"You don't get it" Temari said " for a good while I just thought about him as just a friend; but over the past few months I've began feeling different" she said. "And when he was with Mei back in Kiri I felt angry whenever I saw them together " Temari said holding her head in her hands "I don't know how to feel; I'm not sure if these are feelings of love or something else" she said and Sango chuckled.
"I'm sure it's love darlin" Sango said making Temari's head shot up "if it weren't then you wouldn't be stressin out this much over going to the movies with him" she said and Temari sighed. " I haven't know him that long but Naruto as far as I can tell is a good boy; damaged but still has his heart in the right place" Sango said " a good man is hard to find, don't let him slip away; and if it doesn't work out then it's better to try and fail than to not try at all" she said and Temari nodded.
"You're right" Temari said letting out a sigh "so what do I do" she said and Kurumi stood up.
"We're goin to doll you up for ya date" Kurumi said "we'll make sure you get him crawlin back for a second date with you" Kurumi said.
Temari stood up with determination in her eyes "let's get started ladies" Temari said and then they got to work.
A few hours later: With Naruto at the Sabaku household
Naruto put on his civilian cloths of tan pants, an orange shirt, black sandals and his face covering and was walking out the door of the house. Temari went to Kurumi's house for some reason so he was going there to pick her up for the movie.
'Ok time to go then' he thought as he locked the door.
"Hey Naruto; are you ready" came the voice of Temari.
"Yeah I'm-" Naruto began and stopped as he turned around; Temari was wearing a light purple sun dress that complemented her beauty and her hair was no longer inside its normal 4 pony tails as it was now hanging down at full length.
Naruto stood there dumbly as he never seen Temari look like that and with all honest she looked gorgeous. "Um Naruto are you ok" Temari asked snapping him out of his trance.
"Sorry about that Temari" Naruto said rubbing the back of his head "you look good by the way" Naruto said with a light blush that Temari did not miss.
"Thanks you look good too" Temari said with a smile " ready to go" Temari asked and Naruto nodded.
"Yep let's hit it" Naruto said; the next thing he knew Temari locked arms with him and Naruto's eyes widened 'oh she want me to walk her like a gentleman' he thought as he remembered what Tsunade told him about how women like to walk like this. "Let's go" he said as he began to lead her to the theater.
At the movies
Naruto and Temari were sitting next to each other as they watched the movie 'ok calm down Naruto; yeah she's pretty but she's your friend' he thought. 'She just wants to dress up girlie for once no big deal' he thought; on screen a romantic scene started to play and unseen by Naruto Temari began to breathe steadily.
'Ok it's now or never' Temari thought with vigor; Temari reached over and grabbed Naruto's hand and held it 'ok holding hands during a romantic scene; perfect for pushing the date along' she thought as she remembered what Sango told her.
'She's holding my hand; why is she holding my hand' Naruto thought in a panic 'this is weird; why did she dress up pretty, why is she holding my hand is-' Naruto began and stopped. 'Is she trying to make a move' he thought 'no, no way; Temari is my friend, she wouldn't have feelings like that for me would she' he thought.
Naruto going off instinct held onto Temari's hand and unseen by Naruto Temari had a soft smile on her face.
A while later: ice cream parlor
Naruto and Temari were eating ice cream together enjoying each other's company as they devoured their frozen treats.
"H-how's your ice cream Temari" Naruto asked nervously with a slight blush on his face that Temari didn't miss.
"It's really good Naruto" Temari said with a mischievous smile on her face; Temari got another spoonful of ice cream and brought it in from of Naruto "want to try some; it's strawberry flavor" she said. On the inside Temari was nervous 'oh man am I moving too fast; Naruto looks so nervous right now' she thought.
'Is she trying too feed me' Naruto thought nervously 'why is she doing that, why is she acting so weirdly nice and touchy and stuff' he wondered. "Sure" Naruto blurted out; he then realized what he just said 'crap no wrong response; but no turning back now' he thought as he leaned forward.
Naruto took the bite of ice cream and blushed as he did so "thatwasgood" Naruto said in a hurry. Temari blushed as she did not expect him to actually go through with it.
"Aww that's so cute" a girls voice said as Naruto and Temari turned and looked at a group of teenage girls who were giggling. "You 2 are such a cute couple" she said; both Naruto and Temari turned away blushing as they rushed eating their treats.
A little while later: outside the Uchiha household
"I had a lot of fun Naruto" Temari said standing at the door of the house "thanks for inviting me; I'm going to be spending the night here ok" she said with a smile which Naruto returned.
"I enjoyed it going out with you too Temari; see you tomorrow " Naruto said bashfully; just then Temari leaned in and kissed him on the cheek.
"Good night Naruto" Temari said as she entered the house; as the door closed behind her Temari saw both Kurumi and Sango standing there with smiles on their faces.
"Well" Sango said waiting for a explanation.
"First date went great" Temari said; Kurumi squealed and hugged her.
"Tell us everything" Kurumi said dragging Temari to the couch.
With Naruto
Naruto was walking away from the Uchiha household touching his cheek where Temari kissed him.
'She kissed me' Naruto thought his cheeks red, heart pounding and mind racing. As he was walking he saw Obito walking up.
"Oh Naruto your back" Obito said " how was your date with Temari" he said; Naruto looked at him confused.
"Date" Naruto said confused; it finally clicked in his head "holy shit I just took Temari out on a date" Naruto said slapping his forehead. He then opened his eyes and smiled lightly 'she said she had a good time' he thought "I took Temari out on a date" Naruto said and Obito chuckled at his antics.
The next day
Naruto and Kurumi were both in the Kazekage office without Temari and Obito wondering what was going on.
"Naruto, Kurumi" Gaara said handing Naruto a scroll "I'm sending you 2 on a C rank mission to deliver this message to Kusa" he said making them go wide eyed. "This has the dual purpose of giving Naruto practice in a leadership position and giving Kurumi practical experience" he said.
"Hell yeah what's our mission" Naruto cheered until he was thrown a letter.
"Deliver this message" Gaara said simply "Naruto I want to emphasize that this is a simple letter delivery" he said and Naruto nodded. " I don't want to wake up and read about a bloodbath in the newspaper paper" Gaara said "do the mission and come back" he said.
"But what if-" Naruto began.
"Do. The. Mission. And. Come. Back" Gaara repeated.
"Wha-" Kurumi began but Gaara looked at her sternly "never mind" she said shying away.
"No blood bath" Gaara said "you are dismissed" he said as both Naruto and Kurumi left the room.
Hours later front gate
Naruto and Kurumi both walked out of the front gate and were heading north to Kusa.
"Ok 2 days to Kusa and 2 day back" Naruto said.
"Ok cool" Kurumi said "let's go and get it done" she said and Naruto nodded.
Both Naruto and Kurumi made their way through the desert ready to complete their mission.
