Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 39
With Naruto, Temari and Utakata
Naruto in his 3 tails chakra cloak was staring at Minato as he tried to keep his concentration; Naruto looked to his sides and saw both Utakata in his six tails form and Temari standing ready for battle.
Naruto felt his head pounding as he tried to fight off the malice of the nine tails chakra "Kit" they Kyuubi said gaining his attention "you're close to losing control; use your sage mode, it'll lessen the effects".
Naruto nodded at this and made a hand sign; Naruto's slitted eyes gained a horizontal addition to it's pupil and a dark orange began to shadow his eyes. Naruto felt the effects of the Kyuubi's chakra lessen, even if it was just a little bit.
'Thanks fox; I feel a little better, but my heads still pounding' Naruto said in his mind.
"Naruto; are you ok" Temari asked concerned.
"Yeah I'm fine" Naruto said "lets do this"; Naruto extended is right hand and began to form a rasengan in his palm. The blue rasengan began to turn violet as it became infused with the Kyuubi's chakra; Naruto let out a roar as he charged towards Minato.
Minato seeing this smiled as he extended out his right hand as well in order to create a rasengan of his own; when Minato's rasengan formed he charged in as well.
'Lets see who's rasengan is stronger; mine or Naruto's' Minato thought as he ran towards Naruto; Naruto and Minato were on a collision course as they both closed the distance and aimed their rasengans at each other.
Naruto and Minato's rasengans smashed into each other and began to grind against each other; Naruto and Minato began to push their rasengans into each other in order to gain supremacy.
The 2 rasengans screeched against each other until one finally fave way; Naruto was sent flying back across the water and back towards land as both Temari and Utakata looked on in shock.
Minato's rasengan died out and he looked at his hand and saw it was damaged and reforming "impressive; good effort" Minato said with a smile.
Temari gripped her fan and swung it towards Minato "Wind Scythe Jutsu" Temari shouted; the wind jutsu rushed towards Minato and Minato began to go through hand signs.
'Wind Style: Great Breakthrough' Minato launched his wind jutsu towards Temari's wind jutsu and both jutsu collided; both wind jutsu canceled each other out and made Temari go wide eyed.
'He used a C-rank jutsu to beat an A-rank jutsu' Temari thought; Minato began to rush towards Temari and Temari focused on him. Temari swung her fan once more launching another wind jutsu towards Minato.
Minato dodged the wind jutsu and continued towards Temari; Temari closed her fan and got ready for close combat. Temari swung her fan at Minato's head and Minato ducked under the fan; Minato sent a punch towards Temari and hit her in the stomach making her cough up her breath.
Temari however was not done as she sent a kick towards Minato's head; Minato moved his head to the side as Temari's foot went by his head. Minato seeing Temari was standing on one leg proceeded to sweep kick her knocking her off balance; Minato finished by sending a rising kick towards Temari sending her into the air.
Temari flew in the air until she splashed into the water a few feet away; Minato turned his sights to Utakata in order to begin the engagement. However Minato was caught off guard when he saw a bubble coming towards him.
"What the-" Minato began until the bubble exploded sending him flying back; Minato gained his footing and saw that his left side was damaged and slowly reforming. Minato turned towards Utakata and saw Utakata standing a few dozen yards away.
Utakata in his six tail version 1 form had his bubble pipe to his lips as he looked at Minato 'I bet you didn't expect that' Utakata thought as he took in a breath 'lets see how you fare against this'. Utakata began to blow dozens of bubbles and sent them towards Minato.
Minato seeing the bubble smoking towards him began to run as the bubbles began to near him; the bubbles began to explode as they followed him. Minato was running across the water as the explosions behind him splashed water all around him.
Minato began to go through hand signs as he ran 'Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu'; Minato created a water dragon and sent it towards Utakata who shifted his focus as he began to go through hand signs.
'Water Style: Water pillar' Utakata created a water pillar and was raised off the ground as the water dragon landed where he just was. Utakata pressed his lips against the bubble pipe and began to create another bubble.
Utakata blew a bubble around himself that raised him up into the air above the battle; Minato seeing this felt a pang of jealousy as he witnessed the jutsu.
'He can fly… lucky' Minato through as he began to go through hand signs once again 'Water Style: Water bullets'; Minato fired a volley of water bullets towards Utakata while he was in mid air.
The water bullets hit the bubble Utakata was in popping it and making Utakata come back towards the water; Utakata landed and looked towards Minato who was charging towards him while making a hand sign.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu" Minato shouted as he created 10 clones; as Utakata landed he got into a defensive stance. The first several clones attacked Utakata but Utakata was ready.
Utakata using his chakra tails took several swipes at the clones destroying 3 of them before they could attack; Minato and his other clones surrounded Utakata and began to attack him from different angles.
Several of the clones began to go through had signs in order to launch jutsu towards Utakata; one clone fired a volley of water bullets while another fired a fire ball towards him. Utakata used his chakra cloak to protect him from the jutsu.
It wasn't until he looked back at Minato he saw that he made a mistake; Minato closed the distance and had a rasengan in his hand. Minato pressed the rasengan into Utakata's stomach and sent him skipping across the water like a rock.
Utakata stopped and got to a knee as he looked at Minato and his clones coming towards him once more. Minato ran towards Utakata he head to deviate as a mass volley of wind blades came towards him.
Naruto running back into the fight had both of his small fan out and was sending a large amount of Wind Sickles towards Minato; Minato began to jump back to avoid the jutsu as his clones were destroyed.
As Minato jumped back he was suddenly hit from behind and sent flying; Temari using her fan as a club was able to hit Minato away. Minato landed on the water as he saw his three opponents gather once again.
'Hmmm… maybe they'll win after all' Minato thought.
With Kakashi, Obito and Sakura
Kakashi rushed towards Hiruzen with his raikiri crackling in his hand; Hiruzen seeing this looked to the ground and found a discarded kunai. Hiruzen swiftly picked it up and began to charge it with lighting chakra; Hiruzen using the kunai as a fixed point for his chakra used to to block Kakashi's raikiri.
Both Kakashi's raikiri and Hiruzen's kunai clashed against each other as both men here hit my stray sparks; Kakashi's cloths began to smolder and burn in certain areas as the stray lighting hit him.
Kakashi and Hiruzen's attacks canceled each other out and Kakashi pressed on with his attack; Kakashi used his hand to grab a hold of Hiruzen's as he tried to pry away the kunai. Hiruzen using a flick of his wrist launched the kunai towards Kakashi's head; Kakashi dodged his head out of the way as he gained a small cut from the kunai.
Kakashi launched a kick towards Hiruzen and Hiruzen put up his arm to block the attack; as he did so Sakura ran in and came in from the side in order to attack Hiruzen.
"Take this" Sakura shouted as she cocked back ehr fist for a punch; Hiruzen raised up his hand in order to catch the punch. However he realized he underestimated the attack when Sakura's fist destroyed his hand; Sakura using her superhuman strength readied another punch but Hiruzen jumped out of the way.
Hiruzen jumped several feet away as his hand was reforming; Obito came up behind Hiruzen and Hiruzen attacked with a kick. However his kick went through Obito and Obito sent punch towards Hiruzen and Hiruzen was hit in the chest.
Hiruzen was knocked back slightly as he regained his footing and began to go through hand signs 'Earth Style: Mud River'; Hiruzen spat out mud from his mouth as it began to cover the deck of the ship.
Obito jumped onto the railing of the ship along with Kakashi and Sakura; the other ninja from both Kiri and Oto however were too slow to avoid it and over 4 dozen ninja were trapped in the mud. Hiruzen once again made a hand sign.
Hiruzen made a single shadow clone and both began to go through different hand signs before stopping 'Fire Style: Dragon Flame Bomb' 'Wind Style: Great Breakthough'.
Kakashi realizing what was about to happen shouted "over the sides"; Kakashi, Sakura and a lot of other ninja began to jump over board as Obito began to use his Kamui.
The entire ship was engulfed in a firestorm that blinded the whole area; men who were unlucky enough to not get off the ship in time fell over the sides set ablaze from the combination jutsu. As they hit the water they died on impact or got knocked out and began to drown.
Obito jumped down and landed next to Kakashi and Sakura "son of a bitch" Obito said as the Fire began to spread; Hiruzen jumped down from the ship onto the water below. Hiruzen looked to the side and saw a dead body with a katana strapped to it's back; Hiruzen grabbed the sword and got into a kenjutsu stance.
"Damn it" Obito said "I forgot how dangerous this old gas bag is".
"Well he's called the professor for a reason" Sakura said as she got back into her taijutsu stance.
"We still need to beat him" Kakashi said "if we don't then our forces will be decimated".
"Yes it will" Hiruzen said "now hurry up and think of something; I'm not getting any younger". Hiruzen paused for a moment and chuckled 'or older for that matter' he thought.
With Mei and Kisame
"Water Style: Water Dragon Jutsu" Tobirama shouted as he created a water dragon and sent it towards Mei and Kisame. Kisame jumped out of the way as Mei and her clones scattered; a few of Mei's clones were destroyed and Tobirama continued his attack.
Tobirama went through hand signs 'Water Style: Water bullets' Tobirama fired a volley of water bullets at Mei and her clones. Mei and her clones dodged the majority of the water bullets but did not evade them all; Mei was hit in the arm and 4 more of her clones were destroyed leaving her with only 5.
Mei and her clones all rushed towards Tobirama who got into his taijutsu stance; Mei clones went in and began to attack Tobirama but Tobirama was able to counter. The first clone was destroyed by a kick to the head before he jumped up and performed another kick with his opposite leg hitting and destroying another clone.
Mei's and her last 3 clones all attacked at the same time but Tobirama was able to counter them; Tobirama ducked under one of Mei's punches and proceeded to uppercut her before kicking her in the stomach knocking her away.
Tobirama performed a spinning hook kick and destroyed the last 3 remaining clones with a single move; however he then heard splashing behind him and he turned to see Kisame rushing in performing a sneak attack.
Kisame swung Samehada at Tobirama who jumped over the sword and landed a few feet away; Tobirama rushed in and began to hit Kisame with a flurry of punches and kicks. Kisame took a punch to the gut before receiving a knee to the face from Tobirama; however when he did that Kisame smirked as he dispelled into water.
'A water clone' Tobirama thought in surprise; suddenly from beneath him Kisame shot out of the water with Samehada at the ready.
"Got you jack ass" Kisame shouted as he took a swing at Tobirama; Tobirama moved his body and received only a glancing wound across the left side of of his abdomen. Tobirama proceeded to kick Kisame in the face and Kisame was knocked to the side.
Mei seeing that Kisame was in trouble began to to through hand signs 'Magma Style: Lava river'; Mei began to spew lava from her mouth and towards Tobirama. Tobirama seeing this began to go through hand signs as the Lava made it's way towards him.
"Water Style: Water Wall" Tobirama created a water wall in front of him as the lava rushed towards him; the lava hit the water wall and began to cool until it turned into solid rock. Mei used this opportunity to rushed forward going through another set of hand signs.
"Earth Style: Rock Shrapnel" Mei shouted as she lifted her leg and stomped onto the hardened igneous rock which formed; the rock began to break up and shoot towards Tobirama at an incrediable speed.
Tobirama was too close to dodge so he put up his arms in defense; several of the oncoming rocks hit him tearing into him and damaging his body. Mei closed the distance and jumped into the air; Mei performed a flying kick and hitting Tobirama in the chest.
Tobirama was sent backwards across the water before he stopped himself; Tobirama made a single hand sign "Shadow Clone Jutsu" he said. A dozen shadow clones appeared as he looked at Mei and Kisame.
"Damn this guys good" Kisame said as he made a hand sign "Water Clone Jutsu"; Kisame created 6 water clones and Mei nodded.
"He is the Second Hokage; I'm not that surprised" Mei said as she made a hand sign as well "Water clone jutsu"; Mei created 6 more clones as well and she bit her lip. "At this rate we'll run out of chakra before we can even make a decent dent" Mei said.
With Lee and Guy
"Hyaaaah" Lee shouted as he threw a kick towards Hashirama's clone; Hashirama's wood clone blocked the kick and countered with a punch but Lee grabbed the oncoming fist and grabbed it. Lee proceeded to perform a judo throw in order to send the Hashirama clone into the water; the Hasirama clone hit the water feet first and regained its footing.
The Hashirama clone while standing on the water sent a kick towards Lee; Lee was kicked in the head and was knocked back slightly as the Hashirama clone charged Lee. Hashirama's clone jumped and performed a spinning flying kick.
Lee put up his arms in order to block the attack and he felt the weight of the attack; even while using 4 of the 8 gates Lee felt the power behind the blows. And the fact that he wasn't even fighting the real Hashirama but a clone that was probably half his power was humbling as it showed how much of a power difference there was.
Guy was fighting the real Hashirama and was having a hard time as well; Hashirama was throwing a series of punches and kicks towards Guy who was trying his best to dodged and avoid the attacks.
Guy blocked a punch from Hashirama who then grabbed onto Guy's left arm and pulled down while jumping up; Hashirama threw a kick aiming for Guy's unprotected right side. Guy reached out and grabbed the kick stopping it before Hashirama used his free leg to kick Guy away. Guy was knocked back several feet but regained his footing.
"Amazing; this is simply amazing, what a great fighter you are" Hashirama said in excitement "I wish you had a weapon in order to make it more interesting"; Guy smiled and held up a finger.
"One second" Guy said as he reached into his unzipped jonin vest; Guy pulled out 2 nunchucks and began to spin them while getting into a stance "satisfying enough for you". Hashirama smiled at this as he looked to the water; Hashirama found a dead Oto ninja and reached down.
Hashirama grabbed to kunai from his holster and held them tight "this is almost as exciting as the last time I fought Madara" he said with glee. Guy and Hashirama both rushed towards each other and began battle once again.
Anko, Kurenai and Hinata were all back to back looking at the fight and were surprised "I can't believe they're having fun while we are having to fight for our lives" Anko said as she turned to her side. Another one of Orochimaru's test subjects was running towards her in a feral fury; Anko launched her snakes from her trench coat sleeve and captured him.
Kurenai took out several shuriken and threw them at the captured enemy; the shuriken hit him in the head killing him and Anko let go "we have to help them; we can't just stay here".
"Guy's fine; but Lee needs help" Anko said; Anko turned to Hinata and spoke "hey princess; go help out your boyfriend, we'll cover you". Hinata nodded at this and spoke.
"Yes, I'll go and- wait Lee isn't my boyfriend" Hinata said not blushing "I-I mean he's nice and he listens but-".
"Hinata focus, Anko shut up" Kurenai shouted "Hinata ignore her and go"; Hinata nodded and ran to go and help Lee. Kurenai turned and smacked Anko in the back of the head.
"Ow; what the hell" Anko whined and Kurenai looked at her.
"Don't pick on her" Kurenai said "she's very sensitive with her emotions".
Lee was still fighting the Hashirama clone and he blocked another punch and countered with a front kick; the Hashirama clone used its leg to block the kick and was about to attack once again but before it could it was attacked from the side.
Hinata ran up from the left side of the clone and began to attack it with her gentle fist style of taijutsu; Hinata sent several palm strikes towards the wood clone making it back up and block the attacks. Hinata was about land a blow until the clone raised it's arm and blocked the blow parrying it to the side and sending a punch towards Hinata.
Before the punch could land however Lee ran in and grabbed the hand; Lee kicked Hahsirama's clone away and the clone went into the air. The clone did a flip before landing on the water; Lee looked towards Hinata and spoke.
"Hinata are you ok" Lee asked concerned and Hinata nodded.
"Yes, I'm fine; I was sent to help you" Hinata said and Lee smiled.
"Well thanks Hinata; I would very much appear it" Lee said and Hinata nodded; Lee turned to the clone and got back into his stance "lets beat him with our combined strength".
Hinata smiled while activating her Byakugan; her hands began to glow with chakra until it took shape into 2 lion heads "with our power of youth" Hinata said making Lee grin.
"Very well Hinata" Lee said as he looked at the wood clone "let's win this battle".
With Naruto
Naruto slashed at Minato with his claws but Minato jumped over the attack and proceeded to touch Naruto's back; Minato placed a seal on his back and landed behind Naruto. Minato kicked Naruto from behind sending him flying across the water; Minato made a hand sign and vanished in a yellow flash.
Naruto was in mid air when Minato appeared behind him with a rasengan in his hand; Minato sent the rasengan straight into Naruto's back making him scream in pain. Naruto fell down into the water and began to sink as Minato landed.
Upon landing Minato was greeted by Temari who had her fan folded up and swinging it like a club; Minato ducked under the fan before throwing a punch at Temari who dodged and swung again. Minato put his arms in front of himself in order to protect himself from the oncoming fan; Temari hit Minato and he was sent skidding back across the water.
Temari opened her fan and swung it "Wind Scythe Jutsu" Temari shouted as she swung the fan unleashing a powerful wind jutsu; Minato began to go through hand signs as the wind jutsu approached him.
"Fire Style: Fire Dragon Jutsu" Minato fired a fire dragon towards the wind jutsu and the result was in his fire jutsu becoming more powerful. Temari jumped out of the way from the oncoming fire dragon but not before her right leg caught on fire.
"Shit" Temari shouted as she patted out the fire; Minato seeing Temari was down focused on Utakata who was a few dozen yards away. Utakata began to blow more of his exploding bubbles towards Minato and Minato went through hand signs.
"Water Style: Water bullets" Minato fired a volley of water bullets at the bubbles making them explode before they could get near; the result was the water being shot up and obstructing his view.
Utakata took the opportunity to rush in to attack Minato head on; Minato got into his taijutsu stance as Utakata neared. Utakata launched his chakra tails towards Minato in an attempt to hit him but Minato began to dodge and jumped out of the way of Utakata's attacks.
Minato landed and rushed towards Utakata while forming another rasengan in his hand; as Minato approached Utakata tried to attack him again but failed as Minato closed the distance and launched his attack towards Utakata. Minato hit Utakata in the stomach with the rasengan launching him backwards into the water.
Utakata resurfaced a moment later as his chakra cloak faded; Minato began to approach him when another powerful chakra began to emanate behind him. Out of the water shot out a red blur that landed on the surface of the water.'
Naruto was back and he was on all fours as he glared at his dad 'Fox, we have to push it more; give me more chakra' he said in his mind.
"Kit stop you can't handle it" The Kyuubi said as he tried to reason with him "You barely have control as it is if you push it-".
'Damn it give me the chakra or we all die' Naruto shouted in his mind; Naruto's chakra began to fluctuate again as another chakra tail began to form around him. Naruto began to growl as his chakra covered and morphed his body; Naruto's chakra covered his whole body covering up anything that made him look human.
Naruto was now in his version 2 cloak and there was no distinguishable features other than 2 large white eyes, a mouth full of fangs and a body that seemed like nothing but red and black stripes.
Temari looked on slightly frightened of Naruto 'N-Naruto' Temari thought as she never seen him like this before; Naruto let out a roar that shook the entire area and made Minato stand on edge.
'Damn it; he lost control' Minato thought as he got into his stance again 'I'm sorry Naruto but-'; Minato was brought out of his thoughts when a giant puff of smoke appeared and stepped on him.
Naruto roared for a moment until he was grabbed by a long pink object and both Temari and Utakata looked on in shock.
"Hello my dear friends" came a familiar voice "from North to South, East to West, I have traveled long and far and made my name known; men what to be me and ladies want to be with me". Jiraya appeared on top of the head of Gamabunta in his signature pose "I am Jiraya of the legendary Sanin" he shouted boisterously.
"J-Jiraya" Temari said in shock.
"Sensei" Mianto said as he was held firmly in Gamabunta's hand; Jiraya jumped onto Gamabunta's hand and smiled.
"Minato; my pupil and apprentice, how are you doing" Jiraya said and Minato smiled.
"Great; I got me meet Naruto, his girlfriend, see my son in action, it has really been-" Minato began until Gamabunta spoke up.
"Jiraya; hurry the hell up this kid is biting my tongue" Gamabunta said and both Jiraya and Minato turned; Naruto in his four tails cloak was going absolutely crazy as he thrashed and bit Gamabunta in an attempt to escape.
"Oh shit" Jiraya said as he began to go through hand signs ' lets see here; Bird, Boar, Tiger, Snake, Ox, Horse, Rabbit, Monkey, Dog, Rat, Bird, Rat, Ram, Dragon, Horse, Boar, Ox, Tiger, Bird, Tiger, Ox, Monkey, Ram, Dog, Bird, Rabbit, Rat, Snake, Monkey and Ram'. "Release" Jiraya shouted as he slammed his hand onto Minato's head.
A glow overcame Minato and he began to feel different "I- I think you did it' Minato said "Gamabunta; let me go"; Gamabunta hesitated until he let Minato go. Minato began to move his body and made a simple hand signs; Minato created a single flame on his index finger and smiled "freedom from bondage" he said.
"Gaaah" Gamabunta shouted as Naruto broke free from Gamabunta's tongue; Naruto landed in a crouch and both Minato and Jiraya were about to engage until they heard a shout.
"Naruto" Temari shouted; everybody including Naruto looked at her as she slowly walked towards him "Naruto… listen to me… It's me Temari; don't you remember". Naruto growled at her and looked like he was about to pounce as Temari continued to walk forwards with her hands in front of her "Naruto, calm down; you're ok, you're safe" Temari said soothingly.
Naruto cocked his head to the side as he looked at Temari "It's ok, the battle is over; listen to my voice and relax"; Jiraya and Minato were both on edge as Temari approached Naruto. Both were afraid of Naruto attacking her; Temari reached out and put her hand on Naruto's face.
To their surprise Naruto did not react as Temari began to stroke his cheek "you're ok Naruto" Temari said softly; suddenly a yellow flash appeared behind Naruto and Minato slammed his hand onto his back.
"Seal" Minato shouted as an array of seals began to spread across Naruto; Naruto roared as the seals spread and Temari wrapped her arms around him. The nine tails chakra began to recede back into Naruto and Naruto's human features began to show once again.
Naruto collapsed into Temari's arms barely conscious as she held him above the water "ok… well… that happened" Minato said while rubbing the back of his head.
"Oh god" Naruto groaned as he grabbed his head; Naruto opened his eyes and looked behind him "Gah; Temari get behind me" Naruto said as he turned around and activated his gauntlet blade.
"Hold it kid; he's fine" Jiraya shouted as he came over "I released him from the control of the jutsu".
"Pervy Sage; you made it" Naruto said in excitement; Jiraya smiled as he took out several food pills.
" Damn right I did; here eat these and regain your strength" Jiraya said as he handed them to Naruto "you're going to need it for what's next"; Naruto looked at Jiraya confused.
"What's next" Naruto asked.
Enemy Fleet: With Kabuto
"What the hell" Kabuto said looking through some binoculars "Jiraya is here and he freed the Fourth Hokage"; the other commanders looked concerned at this and the Taki commander spoke.
"What do we do now" the Taki commander asked and Kabuto cursed.
"We should cut our losses and retreat" Kabuto said "order the seven remaining ships to-".
"Ice Style: White Whale Jutsu" came several shouts; Kabuto and the others heard a rumbling as 4 white whales rose out of the water and into the air. All 4 whales crashed into 4 different ships dragging them down into the water with their weight.
Katsu along with several hundred spring ninja emerged and stood on the waters surface as they began to go through hand signs "Get them now" Katsu shouted as she and the others stopped on one final hand sign.
"Ice Style: Glacier formation" Katsu shouted; Katsu and the other spring ninja slammed their hands onto the water. The water began to freeze as the ice crept to the hulls of the ships and stopped them in place; with he ships not immobilized Katsu stood up and shouted.
"Ninja of the land of Spring, attack" Katsu shouted as she and the other began to charge the 3 remaining ships.
Kabuto was caught off guard until he was broken from his stupor "get ready to fight" Kabuto shouted "all remaining Oto, Taki and Konoha troops engage the enemy". Kabuto pulled out a kunai and jumped over the side of the ship to the ice down below 'Lord Orochimaru isn't going to like this' he thought.
With Naruto, Temari, Minato, Jiraya and Utakata
"T-they came" Naruto said in awe as he witnessed the enemy fleet get crippled; suddenly a hand landed on his shoulder and he looked and say Minato there with a smile.
"What do you say we head in and assist them; we still have three more Hokage to stop" Minato said and Naruto nodded.
"You bet dad; pervy sage, how about you" Naruto asked and Jiraya scoffed.
"I didn't come here to look pretty" Jiraya said as he walked up; Naruto, Minato and Jiraya were all standing next to each other ready for battle.
"Ok then" Naruto said as he, Minato and Jiraya all made hand signs; a second later all 3 men activated their toad sage mode and Naruto smiled. "Lets win this fight" Naruto said with bravado.
