Sabaku no Kitsune: Chapter 41
Kumogakure (2 weeks after Naruto and co arrived): With Tsunade,Obito, Kurumi and Karin
On top of the Raikage tower waited a large group of people as a vortex opened up and Obito, Tsunade, Kurumi and Karin appeared.
"Wow… we are in Kumo" Tsunade said astonished "that was fast".
"That's the power of Kamui" Obito said as him and his group all turned to the large group of people waiting.
"Welcome to Kumo Lady Tsunade" A the Raikage said walking up and greeting her "I'm glad to see you're still alive".
"Just barely; escaping Konoha was a shit show" Tsunade said and A nodded "how has the others been since being in Kumo". A chuckled as he scratched the back of his head.
"Well… some it was a little awkward" A said.
Flashback; the day of Naruto and crew arriving
A and his assistant Mabui was standing in front of Temari, Hinata, Lee, Guy, Kakashi and Sakura "while you are in Kumo I hope you enjoy all we have to offer; you are our guests and will be treated as such" A said; A looked at them all and saw a nervous looking Hinata who shied away from him 'oh yeah that's right'.
"So… Hinata Hyuga right" A said gaining Hinata's attention.
"Y-yes lord Raikage" Hinata said; Hinata was almost kidnapped when she was three years old by Kumo and she had a fear of Kumo ninja due to her trauma.
"Uhh listen… my father the third Raikage; he was uhh… not a great guy" A said awkwardly "Kumo has changed over the years; we don't do things like kidnapping people anymore… I hope you can forgive us".
"T-thank you lord Raikage" Hinata said softly "I always had a fear of what would've happened to me; if i would be violated and used as breeding stock"; A went wide eyed and waved his hands.
"What no way" A said "we would never have done that"; Hinata smiled at this. "Kumo would've dug out your eyeballs for transplant in another ninja" A said correcting Hinata making everyone go wide eyed "then they would've cut you open and cut out your ovaries in order to-".
Mabui using her clip board smacked him in the back of the head "Lord Raikage!"she shouted.
"What" A shouted back before she pointed at Hinata; Hinata was now shaking and crying "oh wait no, I-". Hinata ran over and buried her face into Temari's breasts as she began to cry making the others look at him in anger.
"You fucking asshole" Sakura shouted towards A who began to feel the glares.
Yugito seeing this ran over and grabbed A by the ear and began to drag him away "you need to shut the fuck up" she said.
"Ow, ow, I'm sorry" A said.
Flashback ends
"I don't think she'll ever visit Kumo ever again" A said and Tsunade, Karin and Kurumi looked at him with their mouths hanging open.
"Oh my god" Karin said in shock.
"What the hell man" Kurumi said in disbelief.
"You traumatized her… again" Tsunade said pinching the bridge of her nose.
"I know; I'm sorry" A said.
"Ok then… what about Naruto, Gaara and Utakata; I heard they've been training with your brother" Tsunade asked and A was glad for a change in the subject.
"Yes they have" A said before looking over his shoulder "Bee, bring them over"; Bee began to walk over with Naruto, Gaara and Utakata.
"Yo bro; here are the dudes" Bee said moving out of the way to show them to Tsunade and the others.
"Naru-" Tsunade said happily before stopping; Gaara and Utakata looked the same as they did before they came to Kumo but Naruto looked… slightly different.
"Hey granny Tsunade; check out my hair" Naruto said with a smile as he pointed at his hair; Naruto's golden blonde hair was done into corn rows making him look drastically different then the last time Tsunade saw him. "Pretty cool right; I saw this in town when I was going to get a hair cut, it's pretty popular here" Naruto said striking a pose.
"Naruto here looks pretty dope now, if I say so myself" Bee said adjusting his shades.
"What.The.Fuck" Tsunade, Karin and Kurumi all said at the same time looking at Naruto's hair.
"Nice hair kid" Obito said breaking them out of their stupor "I need a hair cut too; do you know anyone who cuts hair". Bee smiled and pulled out a business card.
"Hit up my man Q" Bee said with a smile "former anbu and a beast at cutting hair; the only barber i trust".
Kurumi and Karin both saw Temari walk up and Kurumi spoke "Temari… Naruto's hair".
"I know" Temari said as she looked at Naruto and blushed "he looks so hot doesn't he; such a rebel, it's a shame when we leave here he has to get rid of it". Kurumi and Karin looked at Temari like she was crazy.
'She loves him so much she doesn't even see how weird it looks' Karin thought in surprise 'good god woman; you dating a white boy in cornrows for god sake'.
"Kami above" Tsunade said rubbing her temples.
"Yeah I know" A said "the boy is a man of culture… I respect that"; A gave Naruto an approving nod and Tsunade felt more of her brain cells die. "Now to get serious" A said gaining Tsunade's attention "I need to speak with you, Jiraya, Gaara and Kakashi in my office ASAP".
"Ok then" Tsunade said as she looked over at Naruto "Naruto… I'll see you later on ok"; Naruto nodded and she walked off with A.
"You see that Bee; I told you she'd think my hair looks cool" Naruto said to Bee who smiled "chicks really dig the hair; I'm irresistible".
"Yes you are" Temari said as she gave him a kiss.
Kurumi and Karin sweat dropped at this while Sakura and Hinata looked on "Hinata… be honest… if you still had a crush on Naruto what do you think about the hair". Hinata blushed and poked her fingers together.
"I-I think it looks kind of cool" Hinata said shocking Sakura.
'Wow… just… wow' Sakura thought in disbelief 'I cannot believe what I'm hearing.
Raikage meeting room: With Tsunade, Jiraya, Gaara, Kakashi and A
"Ok in here" A said as he opened the door to a room; Tsunade walked into the room and found a familiar face sitting in a chair.
"Hello Lady Tsunade; long time no see" said Shibi Aburame; Shibi Aburame was wearing an old and outdated Konoha armor which had numerous stitches and repairs done to it "how are you".
"Shibi" Tsunade said surprised "you've been alive this whole time"; Shibi nodded and got up and walked over as the rest of the group entered the room. Tsunade turned and looked at Jiraya "how long have you known" she asked.
"Since I got here; I wanted you to see for yourself" Jiraya said "Shibi here has had a rough couple months".
"It has been difficult lady Tsunade" Shibi said "for two whole months me, my clan and several renegade Konoha ninja have been on our own against Konoha, Oto and Taki". "Out of two hundred clansmen only about one hundred fifty remain; along with that of the fifty shinobi we had with us less than ten are still alive" Shibi said with tired breath. "We have been conducting guerrilla war against Konoha, Oto and Taki from hot water country" Shibi continued "but when the daimyo of that country had a change of heart we began to be hunted down by Root anbu".
"So you fled further north into Kumo" Tsunade said and Shibi nodded.
"Kumo was the only place we could go since the land of Frost wouldn't let us stay" Shibi said "since then we've been here as refugees; every once in a while we get a Konoha deserter or two".
"In any case, I'm glade to see you Shibi" Tsunade said "how is your son Shino; is he ok"; Shibi looked to the ground and he spoke.
"Shino is not here Lady Tsunade; I first hoped he was with you, but when I ran into Hinata she said she hasn't seen him" Shibi said "I hope he's safe".
Meanwhile; in a prison near Konoha
A few miles outside Konoha there was a large prison made of wood surrounded by barbed wire wire and guarded by Root ninja; over the past few months Danzo has been putting anyone who dared threatened his rule in this prison.
People who were loyal to Tsunade, civilians who did not give up their children to become ninja and even regular criminals have been thrown into the prison. The prison originally made to house 500 inmates was now filled to over 3000 inmates; food, water, sanitation and other necessities were nearly non existent.
What's worse in that people were dying here at an alarming rate from both violence and starvation; murder, rape, extortion and drug use ran rampant. The icing on the cake was everyone had their chakra sealed and could not use any Jutsu no matter how simple.
In an overcrowded cell Shino sat on a bunk reading a book as the sound of his fellow prisoners echoed around him; Shino has lost a lot of weight since he's been in the prison. Everyday that goes by he thinks about his father, his teammate Hinata and his sensei Kurenai; as he read his book someone tapped on the bars.
"Hey Shino" said a prisoner who had an object wrapped in a piece of cloth "here you go"; Shino grabbed it and put it to his side.
"Thanks Aki… get out of here" Shino said and he nodded before leaving; Shino unwrapped the object revealing a shiv. Shino quickly tied the shiv around his ankle and went back to reading 'I now have a weapon… now to decide my next move' he thought as the sounds of the prison continued uninterrupted.
Back in Kumo; at a ramen shop: With Naruto, Temari, Gaara, Kurumi, Karin, Obito, Kakashi and Sakura
Naruto and the others were all eating ramen as they caught up on what they've been doing "So Naruto… other than the hair what else is new" Kurumi asked; Naruto slurped some more noodles and spoke.
"Me, Gaara and Utakata have been training with Bee ever since we got here" Naruto said "I've hit a road block with the Kyuubi, Utakata has been getting better with the six tails; but Gaara apparently finished his training in three days". Everyone looked at Gaara and Gaara nodded "he has a new form now because he's 'at one with his Biju' or whatever Bee said" Naruto said.
"Me and Shukaku have come to an understanding; we've set aside our differences and are now working together" Gaara said nonchalantly and Kurumi, Karin and Obito looked at him flabbergasted.
"Well damn man; tell us what you have now, a new Jutsu or something" Karin asked and Gaara spoke.
"Something like that" Gaara said "I'll show you if you want"; Karin, Kurumi and Obito all smiled. "Lets finish out food and I'll show you what I've accomplished" Gaara said and they all nodded.
In a training ground; 1 hour later
Naruto, Temari, Kurumi, Karin and Obito were all looking on as Gaara stood a few feet away "ok everyone; this is what I accomplished" Gaara said as he made a hand sign and closed his eyes 'Shukaku… lend me your power'.
"Hahahaha; show them the power of the Ichibi" Shukaku laughed in Gaara's head; Gaara began to glow with a green chakra as it spread over his body and Kurumi, Karin and Obito all looked on in wonder.
Gaara's sand began to cover him as his gourd began to spread over his body creating a layer in which Shukaku's chakra was being conducted; when the transformation ended Gaara looked completely different.
Gaara was now on his 1 tail cloak, his entire body was now sand brown except for his hair and he had many black lines coming across him; Gaara's face was smooth and sleek as a mask of sand covered his face showing only his now dark brown eyes and he had a Tanuki tail made of sand growing from back side.
"This is my power; the 'Tanuki chakra cloak'" Gaara said to the awed audience "what do you think".
"I think you look rad as hell" Obito said "how strong are you now if you don't mind me asking".
"My chakra reserves, control over sand and even my physical strength are at least four times as strong as in my normal form" Gaara said "so I say mid S-rank level; however-". Gaara canceled his cloak as his sand reformed into his gourd on his back and he was breathing a little heavy "this form takes up a lot of energy; i need more practice, which is why I'm sparring with Naruto and Utakata on a daily basis in my form".
Naruto nodded at this "I though fighting him three years ago in the churning exams was hard; now his power is freaking crazy" he said "but just watch out Gaara; when I get my new transformation, I'll wipe the floor with you".
Gaara smiled at this and nodded "I expect nothing less" he said.
"Well I haven't been slacking off either" Kurumi said as she activated her EMS and showing everyone "pa has been training me on how to use my sharingan better; I can use Tsukuyomi and eventually I can learn other Jutsu". Temari hearing this looked over and spoke.
"Really? Like what" Temari asked and Kurumi chuckled.
"Oh you'll see, and it'll knock your socks off" Kurumi said.
"Hey" Naruto said speaking up "maybe you can come and train with us tomorrow; it'll be fun, especially the taijutsu part". "You too Karin; a little training never hurt, what do you say" Naruto said; Kurumi and Karin looked at each other and shrugged.
"Sure" Kurumi said.
"Why not" Karin said.
"Awesome; Temari, Sakura and Hinata have been coming by too, so you can also handout with them" Naruto said "it's gonna be awesome".
The next day; Bee's training ground
Temari, Gaara, Jiraya, Bee, Obito, Kurumi and Karin were all standing a good distance away from both Naruto and Utakata as they sat in the middle of a large stone area.
Naruto and Utakata were both currently meditating and everyone was looking on as they did so; Naruto and Utakata's chakra began to bubble out and form over them and both Bee and Gaara stood ready to stop them if they go berserk.
In Naruto's mind scape
Naruto opened his eyes and saw he was back inside the sewers of his mind scape "Ok back again" Naruto said as he stood up; Naruto grabbed his big fan off his back and looked ahead as the Kyuubi walked out of it's cage and bared it's fangs at him.
"I will not form this pack unless you can best me in a fight" The Kyuubi said and Naruto nodded "you've been trying for two weeks boy; best for you to give up".
"Shut it fox; I will get your help, I'll prove it by kicking your ass" Naruto said as he opened up his fan and put it behind his back imitating Temari's stance "I will win".
"Hehehehe" the Kyuubi said "Just like your parents".
"Wind Scythe Jutsu" Naruto swung his fan at the Kyuubi unleashing a powerful wind Jutsu towards the tailed beast; the Kyuubi using it's nine tails whipped them forward unleashing an equally powerful wind attack.
Both Naruto and the Kyuubi's attacks collided and canceled each other out; Naruto immediately made a hand sign "Shadow Clone Jutsu". Naruto created one hundred shadow clones and the clones all took out their small fans and charged towards the Kyuubi.
"More lambs to the slaughter" The Kyuubi said as it began slashing its claws at Naruto and his clones.
In Utakata's mind scape
Utakata was sitting across the Rokubi slug in his mind scape; Utakata's mind scape was a lush green field covered in a morning dew. Utakata took in a deep breath and spoke.
"Rokubi" Utakata said.
"Utakata; are we continuing our conversation from yesterday" the Rokubi said and Utakata nodded; the Rokubi unlike the Kyuubi will only give full cooperation to Utakata if he could convince him on why he should.
"Yes we are" Utakata said "your power is great and formidable; if you allow me to use your power then me and my nation can end this horrid war sooner". The Rokubi nodded at this and Utakata continued "the sooner we end this war the sooner all the death and destruction will end" he said "so I beseech you to change your stance on the matter".
"I hear your reasoning, but it still has flaws" The Rokubi said and Utakata nodded "if I give you this power then what's to stop your nation from using it after the current war is over; one you give power it is impossible to get it back". "What if another tyrant like Yamuna arises; will you use the power to defeat a tyrant or join him" the Rokubi said "there is too many unknowns; power can corrupt just as easy as it could assist".
"I understand you worries" Utakata said "but Kiri has changed a lot since the times of 'The village of the bloody mist'; Mei wants to shed our past image and bring us into a new age"; Rokubi raised it's head at this. "She no longer wishes for senseless violence or conquest; she wishes to right the wrongs of the past and bring us into a brighter future" Utakata said "and with your power… we can do that".
The Rokubi sat there for a few seconds until it spoke "how much faith do you have in the others; the container of the Ichibi and the Kyuubi" the Rokubi asked and Utakata spoke.
"I have only know them for a little while; but I can say they want this war to end and bring a new era of peace" Utakata said "Gaara was once a madman and a murder; but Naruto Uzumaki got through to him and made him change his ways, and the ways of Suna". "And Naruto… he has gone through so much trauma in his life" Utakata said "he was an orphan his whole life, hated and banished by his village and lived a life no child should ever have". "But even through all that, Naruto hasn't fallen into darkness" Utakata said "he rebuilt his life in Suna, found love with Gaara's sister and even wanted to stay out of the war until Konoha forced his hand". "If a man of peace is willing to go to war; I must lend my assistance" Utakata said with finality.
The Rokubi looked at the determination in Utakata's eyes and spoke "And I shall as well" the Rokubi said making Utakata go wide eyed "Use this power wisely; if you use it for the wrong reason I will not hesitate to permanently cut you off".
"I won't; thank you Rokubi" Utakata said bowing to the giant slug.
"My name… is Saiken" Saiken said and Utakata smiled "remember it well; and good luck on your future endeavors".
In the real world: With Utakata
Utakata was meditating as his the six tails chakra began to cover him in a cloak; Utakata opened his eyes and felt a surge in his power as hit body transformed. Utakata stood up and turned around and saw the crowd looking at him.
"I did it" Utakata said with a soft smile; Utakata was covering in a light blue cloak of chakra which made him look like he was glowing. Unlike what he saw with Minato his cloak didn't flicker like flames; instead it dripped off him onto the ground like slime on a slug.
"This power… it's amazing" Utakata said as he flexed his hands.
"Utakata, look out" Bee shouted as he pointed to his side; Utakata turned and saw Naruto's red chakra covering him but not forming into a cloak.
"Rrrrrrgghhhh" Naruto growled as he tried to control himself; Naruto got to his feet and turned to Utakata "Raaaaaahhh" Naruto shouted as he charged him. Naruto took a swipe at Utakata with his claws but Utakata dodged and delivered a powerful punch to his face; this punch sent Naruto skidding back before coming to a stop.
Naruto got ready to attack again until sand formed around him "Sand Coffin" Gaara said as he held Naruto still as he began to struggle "Karin; use your chains.
Karin nodded and sent her chains towards the sand coffin wrapping around it effectively stopping Naruto from escaping "Ok, now what" Karin asked.
"Temari; would you kindly" Gaara said and Temari nodded; Temari began to calmly walk forward and stood in front of a snarling Naruto.
"Naruto, it's me, Temari" Temari said in a soft and gentle voice; Naruto hearing this stopped snarling and listened "calm down, don't let the chakra corrupt you" Temari said as she reached out. Temari put her hand on his cheek and began to rub it "come back to me Naruto"; Naruto looked at her for a few seconds and his chakra began to fade away.
Naruto's slotted eyes turned back to it's normal shade of blue and Naruto's fangs began to recede; after a few seconds Naruto was back to normal and he looked to Gaara and Karin.
"You guys can let me go now" Naruto said and both Gaara and Karin nodded; Gaara recalled his sand and Karin canceled her chains. Naruto took in a deep breath and looked at the others "I lost again; I was giving it my all and the fox was just kicking my ass left, right and center".
"Wait, so if you lost why did that chakra affect you" Kurumi asked "I mean why give you chakra if you lost".
"Because little lady; Naruto is fighting the fox while manipulating the chakra" Bee said answering Kurumi's question "he fighting for control and when he loses the fight he loses the control at a critical point".
"This whole thing is about gaining the trust of the biju so they cooperate with the Jinchuriki" Jiraya said chiming in "Utakata was as you can see was able to do it while not flying into a rage; however Naruto and Gaara are different". "Both of their Biju are not as peaceful or stable as Utakata's" Jiraya continued "Gaara was able to defeat Shukaku though; Naruto's having a harder time form a simple reason, the Kyuubi is stronger".
Everyone turned to Gaara who nodded "I lost twice and the final time I was barely able to win; Bee had to subdue me in order to protect the others" he said.
"It's no problem; my lightning Jutsu is a perfect counter for his sand" Bee said "I can also handle Naruto as well; even though the eight tails isn't as strong it's pretty close and with my expertise I can beat him easily".
"Bee's a hell of a lot stronger than me" Naruto said "so now I have to catch up to you guys".
"Lets try again tomorrow kid" Jiraya said as he wrapped his arm around Naruto "how about some taijutsu training". Naruto smiled and nodded at this and spoke.
"Hell yeah; how about… Kurumi" Naruto said looking at her "wanna spar"; Kurumi nodded and stepped forward.
"Bring it on blondie; I'll make you look as stupid as your hair" Kurumi said; Naruto and Temari immediately lost their smiles and became serious.
"You just crossed a line farm girl" Naruto said as he took off his gauntlet and his fans and gave them to Temari "hold these for me Temari".
"Kick her ass baby" Temari said as Naruto began to crack his knuckles.
'Oh shit… I went a little to far' Kurumi thought.
The next day; Raikage tower: with Tsunade, Gaara, A and Jiraya
Lady Tsunade, Lord Gaara, I'm glad you came here on such short notice" A said as Jiraya stood next to him.
"What has happened" Tsunade asked concerned "was Suna attacked or Kiri"; A shook his head and looked to Jiraya.
"Jiraya came to tell me this since my country is the most affected" A said and Jiraya stepped forward.
"There are two breaking developments; one good and one bad" Jiraya said "the bad one is that Ame has been attacked by a combined force of Taki and Kusa; Nagato and Konan are currently fighting a war on two fronts Kusa and Taki to the north and Konoha and Oto to the east". Both Tsunade and Gaara went wide eyed at this.
"What" Tsunade shouted "Kusa was neutral when hostilities broke out; now they joined in, why".
"Apparently the council of Kusa decided to attack while Ame was distracted by fighting Konoha and Oto" Jiraya said "Nagato is currently leading the fight in the east while Konan is fighting in the north".
"Kami above; another front to deal with" Gaara said as he pinched the bridge of his nose "what is the second piece of news".
"We now have an opportunity to counter attack" Jiraya said as he pulled out a map " Taki lost a fifth of it's troops in the battle of Kiri; currently about three fifths are fighting on the front lines against Ame". "So that mean there area about five hundred defending Taki; along with small detachments of Root ninja there to support them" Jiraya said.
"I see" Gaara said as he looked at the map "if I'm correct a reasonably sized force could attack Taki from it's northern coastline". "But in order to do that we need to ensure those on the front lines won't retreat back into their homelands" Gaara said and Jiraya nodded.
"Yes that is true; which is why I have come up with a plan" Jiraya said "the spring country ninja's along with a small detachment of Suna and renegade Konoha ninja will attack Taki". "While at the same time you Gaara, will lead Suna's forces into Ame and help Konan push back against the northern front" Jiraya said "and when you do that it'll commit the troops there as a diversion".
"I see" Gaara said "although if I may ask, why is Lord Raikage here listening to this".
A smirked at this and spoke "Konoha is getting to big for it's britches; twice already they have threatened embargoes against us for taking in Shibi and his people" he said before leaning back in his chair. "Which is why I'm going to help you by sailing you to Taki's northern coast line for the invasion" A said shocking Tsunade and Gaara "I'm still trying to convince my council to allow me to sent troops as well; at the very least we can sent a thousand volunteers to assist".
"And what do you want in return" Tsunade asked "I doubt you're doing this out of the kindness of your heart"; A nodded and spoke.
"Simple; when the war is over and all's said and done, I want Oto" A said making them all confused "Kumo's economy has hit hard times; so if we could get a cash cow like the land of Rice, it'll be what we need to get back on our feet".
"I'm not big on colonization but I say it's a good deal" Jiraya said as he looked to Tsunade and Gaara "what do you two say".
Gaara closed his eyes and nodded "Kumo's help will speed up the end of the war; and also save Suna and Konoha some time since they will be solely responsible for occupying Oto" he said "I will agree to this".
Tsunade was slightly hesitant but had no choice to relent "When Taki and Kusa fall, it will be under a combined Ame and Suna occupation only; Kumo will have no stake there" she said and A nodded.
"Oto is closer and has more economic opportunity for us" A said "I'm not greedy like my father; Taki and Kusa has no place in my plans"; Tsunade nodded at this and spoke.
"Very well; if that is the case I will also assist in leading the invasion" Tsunade said shocking Jiraya "I have experience from my time fighting in the second shinobi war; I know Taki's terrain well".
"Then I guess I'll be heading to Ame then" Jiraya said and Tsunade nodded "I'll let Nagato and Konan know we have something planned". Jiraya walked up to Tsunade and hugged her "Good luck Tsunade" he said as she hugged him back.
"Good luck pervert" Tsunade said as Jiraya exited the room.
With Naruto, Temari, Bee, Gaara, Utakata and Yugito
Temari, Gaara, Bee, Utakata and Yugito were all looking on as Naruto was once again meditating; Gaara and Bee were getting ready to jump in in the chance that Naruto went berserk once again.
In Naruto's mind scape
Naruto was looking at the Kyuubi and the Kyuubi waited for Naruto to make a move; however Naruto was just standing there not moving a muscle. Naruto hasn't even reached for any of his weapons or got into a taijutsu stance.
"Uhhh… aren't you going to attack me" The Kyuubi said; however Naruto didn't say anything and just stood there "Fine then brat; I'm coming whether you are ready or not". The Kyuubi rushed forward before slashing it's giant claws at Naruto; as the claws neared him Naruto reached behind himself and grabbed his large fan and opened it.
"Wind Scythe Jutsu" Naruto shouted; Naruto swung the fan and a large wind Jutsu hit the Kyuubi's hand knocking it back. Naruto not stopping there spun around and charged his fan again "wind scythe Jutsu" Naruto fired another wind Jutsu straight at the Kyuubi.
The Kyuubi was too close to dodge the attack and was hit dead on and knocked back 'He intentionally lured me in' the Kyuubi thought. Naruto immediately put up his fan and made a hand sign.
"Shadow clone Jutsu" Naruto shouted as a hundred clones appeared before taking out their small fans and surrounded the Kyuubi; the clones all began to fire multiple wind Jutsu towards the Kyuubi.
The attacks were not hurting the Kyuubi but they were annoying it and the Kyuubi was slashing it's claws and using it's tails to attack the clones; the Kyuubi was destroying the clones at a rapid pace taking out four to five at a time. As the numbers thinned the Kyuubi had a strange feeling as it continued.
'Wait a minute; something is wrong' the Kyuubi thought as it destroyed the last group of clones; the Kyuubi looked around and saw that Naruto was no where to be seen 'where is he; did I kill him'. 'Where could he have gone' The Kyuubi thought; the Kyuubi then heard a sound above his head and looked up.
Naruto was riding his fan much like how Temari used hers to jump from high places; Naruto was falling towards the Kyuubi with a rasengan in his hand "you never thought to look up Fox" Naruto said as he approached with his hand extended. "Take this" Naruto shouted "rasengan"; Naruto buried the rasengan into the Kyuubi's head sending it's head to the ground with a loud boom.
Naruto jumped away as he looked at the downed fox "I-I did it" Naruto said as he landed and he began to breath heavily "haha take that fox I just kicked your-". Naruto was cut off when the Kyuubi began to get back up and shrug off the attack "oh shit" Naruto said his excitement now gone.
"Hehehehe" The Kyuubi laughed "well done boy; I guess you finally won then" it said and Naruto became confused. "Let's be honest, you're no Hashirama; there's no chance in hell you could ever truly defeat me" The Kyuubi said "That being said… I deem you worthy of my power".
Naruto smiled at this and spoke "so you are going to lend me your full power" Naruto asked excited and the Kyuubi nodded "hell yeah, I did it, I did it" Naruto shouted as he began to jump around in celebration. "Thanks Fox" Naruto said and the Kyuubi smiled and nodded.
"Call me Kurama" The Kyuubi said and Naruto nodded; The Kyuubi then smirked as it raised one of its tails.
"Ummm Kurama; what's wrong" Naruto asked slightly scared as the Kyuubi got an evil glint in its eye.
"That rasengan hurt boy; this is pay back" The Kyuubi said as it swung its tail down on Naruto who began to scream.
In the real world
"Gaaaaaahhhh- *slap*" Naruto was screaming like a mad man until Temari slapped him across the face.
"Stop screaming damn it" Temari shouted as Naruto got back up and began to feel himself.
"Damn that hurt; stupid Kurama, I felt that" Naruto said; Naruto then saw his body was glowing with a bright with bright yellow chakra flickering across his body like fire and he had a haori made of chakra. "Holy crap" Naruto said as he looked himself over "it's like dads… but a lighter shade".
Naruto looked up and saw Temari smiling at him "Babe… you did it" she said as she went in and gave him a hug "I knew you could do it; I'm so proud of you".
"Thanks Temari; I really appreciate it" Naruto said as he hugged his girlfriend; just then the others walked over and Naruto smiled "looks like all that training payed off".
"Good job little man; now you're ready to jam" Bee said in a rap as he extended his fist and Naruto fist bumped it "just remember who taught thee; Me the mighty Killa Bee". Everyone sweat dropped at this but Naruto continued to smile.
"Now Konoha gonna be free; with the power of the Kyuubi" Naruto began with a smile "With this I'm gonna kill Danzo; and the world will know the name Naruto". Yugito, Gaara and Utakata all sweat dropped.
'Mother of god' Utakata thought.
'Kill me now' Gaara thought as he rubbed his temples.
'Bee…just… damn it all' Yugito thought in embarrassment.
"That was great babe" Temari said smiling, completely oblivious to how stupid Naruto and Bee were acting.
A few hours later; Kumo chamber: With Naruto and crew
Naruto was standing with Temari, Obito, Kurumi, Karin, Kakashi, Sakura, Hinata, Lee, Guy and Anko; across front them was Tsunade, A and Gaara. Tsunade stepped forward and began to speak.
"First of all; I will like to congratulate Naruto on obtaining his new 'Kurama mode' as he calls it" Tsunade said and Naruto smiled giving her a thumbs up "I'm glad to hear that you obtained it; since we are going to need it". Everyone hearing this got a sense of dread as Tsunade continued "as of a few hours ago; I was informed that Kusa has attacked Ame from it's northern border with the help of Taki".
"What; is Ame ok, Nagato and Konan, are they alive" Naruto asked in a panic and Tsunade held up her hand.
"They are fine Naruto… for now" Tsunade said as she led them to a large map handing on the wall "as of right now with Kusa and Taki to the north and Konoha and Oto to the east… Ame is in a tight spot". "But… we have an opportunity" Tsunade said "we have a plan to knock both Taki and Kusa out of the war".
Gaara walked up next and spoke "we are planning on a two phase attack" Gaara said as he pointed at the map "Suna and Ame will launch an offensive from the south; while at the same time Spring, the Konoha rebels and a possible contingent of Kumo ninja will invade Taki from it's coast".
"I have been talking to our council members and they seem to be on board; I just need to cut through the bullshit to actually put ninja in the field" A said speaking up "Kumo hasn't recovered from the last war; so we can only give a small force of one thousand troops at most".
"Anything is better than nothing" Tsunade said to A before turning to the others "during the invasion of Taki, I will personally be leading the assault". "In doing so I'll be taking Naruto, Temari, Kakashi, Sakura, Obito, Kurumi, Hinata, Lee and Guy" Tsunade said and they all nodded. "We will be heading to Spring country to train and prepare for the invasion" Tsunade said.
"Along with that I will be heading to the Ame Northern front" Gaara said "I will have a team consisting of Kankuro, Karin, Anko and Jiraya who is already heading there now". "Karin used to be from Kusa, so she knows what they are like" Gaara said and Karin nodded.
"Kusa may not have many ninja, but they aren't weak" Karin said "Kusa has an equal number of ninja as Ame; so if they are using their entire force to attack the northern border we should expect heavy resistance". "Also Gaara… if Kusa finds me and tries to capture me… please kill me" Karin said shocking everyone but Tsunade, A, Gaara, Kakashi and Guy "I'd rather die then be medical equipment or a sex slave… fucking savages".
"It won't come to that; but if it does… I will not hesitate" Gaara said and Karin nodded "I'll be leaving back to Suna tomorrow; I wish you all good luck".
"My group will be leaving in a week" Tsunade said "get supplies and anything else you might need; be ready this isn't going to be easy".
The next day; Kumo front gates: With Naruto, Temari, Karin, Kurumi and Obito
Naruto, Temari, Kurumi and Obito were all looking at Gaara and Karin as they were about to head to Lightning countries Eastern docks.
"We'll be off them; it was good to see you all" Gaara said as Karin stood behind him.
"Bye Gaara stay safe" Temari said as she went up and gave him a hug before breaking it and giving Karin a hug "bye Karin". Temari then leaned in and whispered "and try not to get pregnant; I'm not ready to be an aunt yet".
Karin broke the hug and gave Temari a playful punch in the arm "jerk face" Karin said blushing.
"Good luck Gaara, good luck Karin; say hi to Sango for me" Naruto said and they both nodded.
"Take care Naruto; watch after Temari" Gaara said and Naruto nodded.
"Good luck to the both of you; I hope to see you home soon" Obito said as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a letter "oh and give Sango this package".
"Sure thing; what is it" Karin asked and she felt a mischievous and lustful shift in Obito's chakra.
"Hehe, don't worry about it" Obito said and Karin shuddered.
'I feel dirty just holding it now' Karin thought as she put it into her back pack.
"Bye Karin; see you soon" Kurumi said as she gave her best friend a hug; Kurumi then broke the hug and walked over to Gaara "bye Gaara be safe". Before Kurumi broke the hug she went in and gave Gaara a little kiss on the cheek making his eyes widen "for good luck".
Kurumi walked away and Gaara cleared his throat "I'll be leaving now" Gaara said as he and Karin walked away.
Temari looked at Kurumi with a smirk "you think that pushed him a little in the right direction" she said and Kurumi nodded.
"Yeah I'm sure" Kurumi said "I guess out little 'coffee dates' never really clicked in his brain as actual dates; even though we've been meeting for coffee for over a year now".
"Wait, you like Gaara" Obito asked surprised "why"; Kurumi looked thoughtful.
"He's polite, reserved, strong and also he's pretty cute" Kurumi said with a smile.
"I'm sorry but he's not good enough for you" Obito said crossing his arms "you deserve someone better".
Both Kurumi and Temari looked at Obito not believing what they just heard "Gaara's the Kazekage and super rich; you can't be serious".
"I am; Kurumi need to date a boy who's better" Obito said and both Kurumi and Temari began to fume "hey wait a second"; Obito turned to Naruto. "Hey Naruto on a scale of one to ten; how willing are you to date both Temari and Ku-" Obito began until Temari grabbed her fan and swung it at him; the fan passed right through Obito and he began to laugh "nice try-". Obito was immediately kicked in the head by Kurumi and both Kurumi and Temari looked at him.
"Pa you're sick" Kurumi said.
Temari grabbed Naruto and pulled him in close "Naruto is mine and mine alone" she said as she began to walk away "lets go".
Naruto, Temari and Kurumi all began to walk away and Obito was left not he ground nursing his bruised jaw "I was kidding… kind of" Obito said as he got back up and walked back into the village "damn kids, can't take a joke".
