Chapter 19: Meeting a Monster.
East Forest Mountainside, Colorado, Crossover town, Currently unknown area, October 10th, 2012.
Mabel followed Bruce as he led her through a winding passageway that led to his lab. Once outside, they found themselves on a cliff, looking down at the valley below.
"Wow." Mabel said in awe. "I can see the whole Valley from up here!"
"Yeah, good vantage point from the Hulkbusters." Said Bruce. "Helps me keep track of where they are."
"So cool…" Mabel googled, as she clambered up upon his shoulders.
"Right…" Bruce replied, as he set her down. "So, If I may, You want the Hulk to… What, Exactly?"
"Oh, right." Said Mabel, remembering. "I need the Hulks' help to fight back against this other girl in my new school, who has been terrorizing me since I got here."
Bruce stared blankly. "That's it… You just wanna… get Evan at some… classic, mean girl stereotype who's been bullying you?"
"Yeah, Bullying… Is the least of it." Said Mabel. "You know what that bitch did to me and another kid?!"
And Mabel told him everything, everything that happened back in Piedmont, moving in with her Aunt and Uncle, Meeting Courtney, Nick, Megan, Stewie and Brian, how Courntey and her minions had terrorized her and pushed her down a flight of stairs, how she pinned all of it on Kyle. (Even though most of the town saw the truth.) and most of all, the stockpile of Weapons Courtney was selling and trading.
Bruce listened, and by the time Mabel finished, He was speechless.
"My god…" He breathed. "Then… Shouldn't you talk to the Police?"
"I'm pretty sure they're useless." Mabel said. "In fact, every adult in this town is useless, That's why I came up here, looking for you."
Bruce didn't respond immediately, he seemed to be mumbling to himself, before finally turning to face Mabel.
"You know Kid." He said. "What you're asking… doesn't sound like it will end well."
"What do you mean?" Asked Mabel.
"If you were really just expecting the Big guy to just… go up to this girl, and scare her? And possibly the whole town in the process." Brice explained. "I don't think I can do that, not with the Hulkbusters on my case."
Mabel l's face fell as Bruce spoke and any hope she had were dashed, just like everything else…
"Look Kid, you don't want a monster to help you." Bruce sighed, kneeling down and placing a hand on the girl's shoulder. "That's the last thing this town needs."
"But… You're a hero." Mabel said. "I've looked you up and you saved the world several times from Supervillains like the Leader and Abomination."
"Well- Yeah, I… I guess…" Bruce said, rubbing the back of his neck. "But… still, the Hulk is completely uncontrollable, there's no telling what could happen If I let him loose."
"So what am I supposed to do now?!" Mabel asked.
"Uh, Maybe try and get some evidence of this girl's stockpile." Bruce suggested. "Then turn it over to the Police?"
"Hmm, I could do that…" Mabel pondered. "She did show me her stockpile, and I also have Kyle to back me up. He did see her and her K.K.K. 's making a trade off with a pair of Weasels, But nobody would believe him."
"Well if you could find it again." Bruce offered. "You'd have to use a very good distraction, She probably knows you'll make a move against her."
There was a moment's pause. "Yeah…" Mabel said, turning back to Bruce. "And I can't fight back alone."
Then suddenly, she ran off back into the base.
"Hey wait!" Bruce called, before running after her.
As he entered the room, he found Mabel going through everything she could, mostly various notes and manuscripts.
"What are you doing?!" Bruce asked.
"I'm trying to find something that can actually help me." Mabel said as she picked up a small device.
"What, like a Camera?" Bruce asked. "Are you going back to find that stockpile?"
Mable stopped what she was doing and looked at Bruce. "Uh… Yeah." Then a small idea floated into her head. "You know, you're right… Courtney would be expecting me to try and expose her, that's why I thought the Hulk could create a distraction, while everyone's focused on you, I can sneak into her Hideout and get evidence like you said."
Bruce stared at the girl with an expression of surprise. "Uh okay, Don't know why you didn't just go with that from the start, But I don't know… I'm not sure "He" would wanna take that risk."
"Oh, then I guess he's just… chicken." Mable shrugged. "Or an edgelord like Troy Baker."
"What?" Bruce asked.
"Yeah, Edward Norton." Mabel went on. "Boy that guy is a trash fire of a man, When has he ever made it big, anywhere? Like… Down the Valley? Control Freak? Leaves of Grass? And that god awful Marvel movie he did one time… Boy, that was a waste."
"Well… I like to think he's had plenty of other successes, like, Fight Club, The Illusionist, Modern Family."
"He was only in one episode of Modern Family, like one! And most of the other stuff isn't Evan memorable." Mabel retorted.
"Well, he's done voice work for the Simpsons."
"Pfft, Yeah, name one iconic character he's voiced? Huh? And in what? Two episodes at least?"
"You're not bringing him out kid, you're just talking about an actor who I happen to like."
"Well I certainly liked his documentary "Man from Plains." Mabel said finally. "He gets to have that talk about Jimmy Carter to show himself that he sounds like an asshole."
Upon Hearing this last statement, Bruce's eyes went green.
Meanwhile,
Brian and Stewie made their way up the Mountainside, with Bruan continuing to sniff out Mabel's trail.
"Hmm, Mabel must be around here somewhere." Brian noted.
"You think Courtney Cox lives up here?" Stewie wondered. "Might explain why she's a weird slut."
Just then, there was a rumbling sound, followed by a roar.
"What's that?" Stewie asked.
They both looked up and saw a familiar shadow looming towards them, it crashed into the earth before them and knocked the sapient dog and baby off their feet, as the dust cleared, Brian and Stewie widened their eyes.
Before them, Stood what passed for a man, A Giant man wearing nothing but ripped purple pants, black hair and was completely green from head to toe and his big beefy muscles, He stared down at the two and then looked to the town.
"Hulk… SMASH!"
And he leapt away towards his new target, leaving the stupefied duo completely speechless.
"Hey guys."
The pair jumped as they found Mabel right next to them.
"Mabel!" Exclaimed Brian. "What did you do?!"
"All according to plan." Mabel smirked.
Meanwhile,
Back in town, Everyone was protesting the new werewolf, Waving protest signs and shouting as Hulkbuster Soldiers held them at bay.
"Fuck NO!
"We won't go!
"Give us better hours now!"
"Fuck NO!
"We won't go!
"Give us better hours now!"
From the command center, Courtney and Ross watched the scene play out.
"I thought they were going to hunt down the Hulk for us." The General sneered.
"Well, perhaps if we were to give more of an incentive…" Courtney's line of thought was cut off, when some alarm went off on the radar.
"Sir!" One of the men. " We've got a proximity alert on monitor C."
Another one piped up. "Now it's on monitor B!"
General Rosses' eyes widened. "It's him."
Meanwhile,
"Fuck NO!
"We won't go!
"Give us better hours now!"
Glen Talbot stood on a podium and spoke to the Mob.
"People, Go back to your homes!" He demanded. "Or else you'll be-"
Suddenly a large object landed behind him and knocked him over. Everyone gasped in surprise, as a giant green beast let out a tremendous roar!
For a moment there was silence, and then a lone squirrel screamed and ran away from the crowd, this was the cause for a full out panic from the rest of the crowd as they scattered and ran off in different directions.
"All personnel! Open fire!" Talbot cried, as the Artillery and Soldiers all fired upon the Hulk this did little damage, as the Hulk proceeded to smash an approaching tank and toss another one into a Helicopter.
Command Center.
"There he is!" Thunderbolt Ross exclaimed. "It's the Hulk! All personnel to Point A, all patrols cut off any escapes!"
Meanwhile,
As the Battle was going on, Mabel, Brian and Stewie had used this to sneak back into town and enter the School.
"Okay, Now we just need to find the stockpile." Mabel said. "If I remember correctly, Kyle said-"
"I thought you were gonna have the Hulk beat Courtney up?" Stewie pointed out.
"Well that would have been fun." Mabel said. "But we also have to clear Kyle's name."
"Ah, there is that." Noted Brian.
As the three made their way into the school, they came to a stop outside the Classroom where she previously met Courtney and her gang.
"So, where's the stockpile?" Asked Stewie.
"It should be…" Mabel stared, but then trailed off, The sound of footsteps was coming from down the hall.
"What the douche?" Stewie asked, the three then crept quietly to the door and saw Two HulkBuster Soldiers walk past.
"Hulkbusters? Here?" Asked Brian in surprise.
"C'mon, Let's follow them." Mabel said, as they exited the classroom and tailed the two Soldiers until they reached a door that Mabel knew, and there were the K.K.K. 's, leading the two men into it.
"That's it, that's where they keep the stockpile." Mabel said as they quickly hurried to the door and peered inside through the glass.
"Okay, this is all the EMP Fields, Landmines and artillery kits you need." Said Kate. "You'd better hurry before the Hulk goes through your current stock."
"Oh my god." Mabel gasped. "They're clearing out!"
Stewie quickly pulled out a camera and took a picture.
"What was that?" Asked Kathy, as they all looked to the door, But Mabel, Brian and Stewie were already fleeing the school.
"Okay! We got the evidence!" Mabel said.
"So what do we do now?" Asked Brian.
"Okay, We turn this over to the cops and then-" Mabel was then cut off as a tank crashed in front of them, and cut their path off, they looked over to see the Hulk, rampaging through the streets as the Hulkbuster tried in vain to stop him.
"SWEATER GIRL!"
"Uh, I thought he was fighting the Hulkbusters." Stewie inquired.
"Oh yeah, I think I made him angry." Mabel said, shrugging.
Suddenly a pair of gunshots fired over them and they turned to see Kathy, Kate and Kelly with the Hulkbusters.
"They spied on us, get them!" Shouted Kate.
"Run!" Cried Brian and they took off, with the K.K.K. 's, Hulkbusters and Hulk in pursuit.
They quickly found a conventinly place Two Seater Bike and hijacked it just as a guy and his girlfriend came out of the bar.
"Hey! That's my ride!" But he and his board quickly retreated back inside as the chaos unfolded.
Mabel, Brian and Stewie drove madly through the streets as the Hulkbusters gave chase, they twisted and turned to escape their pursuers, with Brian at the wheel, One Soldier fired several shots at the trio and all missed as they did a sharp turn, Stewie almost fell overboard, but was quickly rescue by Mabel, who then proceed to put out her grappling hook.
"We have to shake these guys somehow." Brian panicked as he turned to Mabel. "What are you doing?!"
"We'll think of something!" Mabel replied as she looked for something to fire.
As the chase went on, Mabel noticed a building tall enough to get away from the road.
"Hold on tight you guys!" She called to Brian and Stewie, as the grabbed hold of her, she fired at the roof top and it pulled them up to said roof, just as the Hulkbusters zipped past, in pursuit of the runaway bike, which skidded to a stop and was promptly crashed into by the Jeeps.
"Ah yeah!" Cheered Stewie. "That's what I'm talking about." And he promptly high fived Mabel and Brian each, But then Several Helicopters appeared and surrounded them.
"You are completely surrounded." An intercom voice came. "Surrender yourselves!"
Before the trio could do anything, A roar came out and the Hulk came smashing through one of the Helicopters, just as they opened fire, Hulk than in between the missiles and their would be targets, shielding the three helpless stragglers from their would be doom, once the smoke cleared, he scooped them up and jumped away, Carrying Brian, Stewie and Mabel with him as the Hulkbusters gave chase.
Back on the ground, Wendy, Nick and Megan had seen everything, from the Hulks attack to his rescue of Mabel.
"Mabel!" Wendy called out.
But she was too far away to hear.

And there you have it folks, you get to see the Hulk in action for the first time. :) This was a fun and action packed chapter to write, But there may be some drama in the next chapter. Be ready for that, But for now, enjoy the suspense this chapter provides.
I also may be planning to make five more chapters, to flesh out the characters a bit before the end, I hope that's okay.
