While trying to figure out where the entrance of where Usagi could be, the gang realizes there's another puzzle piece that slides into place. Nobody, especially Mamoru, knows how to feel about it. What is this piece? Will it help them get to Usagi?

(Monday Evening)

As everyone, once again, settled in the living room in the Tsukinos' home, Kenji and Yoshi started presenting what they had found out while the girls were at school and the men were stuck at Hikawa Shrine or Mamoru's apartment. Though neither group were aware of what the pair had planned for the day.

"Kun, your father dragged me out of the house at dawn to assist him in one of his wild theories," Kenji said, giving Yoshi the beady eye.

Yoshi shook his head with a grin. "I guess fairplay works here," he said. "I couldn't have the department know what I was working on, and thankfully, my wife was able to cover for me."

Kun watched the exchange between his father and Kenji. "Did that go well?" he asked. He had called home earlier to let his father know he was needed at the Tsukino residence. He was aware there were no secrets between his parents, so his father would have told his mother what they had found.

"She said it did," Yoshi said. "And she added a few of her own theories." He looked over at Kun. "Her theories are way more likely."

"What are you talking about?" Mamoru asked. He just wanted to know where to go, so he could rescue Usagi and defeat Queen Beryl once and for all.

"We narrowed it down to the Fruits Parlor Crown or Game Center Crown," Kenji said. He looked over at Neph. "While we were out, Yoshi called Nobuko when she got home." He looked over at Ami. "It would have been after you spoke to Kenta, Ami." He looked back at the group. "Nobuko called your mom, Neph, at Fruits Parlor Crown."

"I don't suppose any of you have realized that Unazuki and Motoki Furuhata were having dreams about their past lives?" Yoshi asked, looking around the room at the teenagers.

"Uh…" Makoto looked over at Neph, and she realized she probably should have mentioned it to the group at one point before now. "Neph and I had a conversation with Naru Osaka who said she and Gurie Umino were having dreams. She also had mentioned that Unazuki and Motoki were having dreams, and they had put it together that maybe it was a past life."

Minako looked over at Makoto curiously wondering how she knew this. "When did you have a conversation with Naru?" Minako asked.

"It was this afternoon before everything happened," Kun told her, remembering when Makoto had brought Naru to Hikawa Shrine. He lifted his hands in defeat, knowing the love of his life. "I didn't know about what Neph and Mako had planned until after it happened after Rei told me that Ami had made her decision."

"Minako, it's done," Mamoru said. "Let them continue." He wanted to know what Kenji and Yoshi found. "I don't have any recollection of them, of Unazuki or Motoki."

"I do," Minako said. "Unazuki was Princess Serenity's maid." She wasn't sure if she should mention the other thing she knew and wondered if the other Sailor Guardians would want to say anything.

"I didn't remember until just now," Ami said. "Until you just said."

"It seems like that's the way it's happening," Zoi said. "We're remembering what pertains to the ten of us and some friends." He looked over at Ami. "Our memories of other people are sealed."

"Which reminds me," Kenji said and looked over at the Sailor Guardian of Wisdom. "Ami, why do I not remember? But Ikuko, Usagi, and Shingo do. Shouldn't my memories have opened up?"

"I have a theory, but do you mind if I scan you first, Mr. Tsukino?" Ami asked. She remembered what Queen Serenity had told her yesterday, and she had theorized that could be the reason why. Though, she had been led to believe the block would clear.

"If we can figure out why, that'll be enough for me even if I don't get any of the memories back," Kenji told her.

Ami took out her mini computer and rose from her seat next to Zoi to start to scan Kenji. She hoped to confirm her theory and not find a new one.

"As you were saying?" Mamoru asked Zoi.

"We're going to remember the ten of us, Queen Serenity, King Minos, Naru…" Zoi looked over at Neph, remembering he had yet to apologize to his fellow Shitennou Knight.

"Later," Neph said, knowing what was on Zoi's mind wanted to speak with him about. "We'll talk about that later."

Zoi nodded and continued, "These are the people who we are meant to remember. How did you figure out that they were important?"

"Your friends, Zoi," Kenji said, "have figured out that love and connections are the answer."

"Before the Dark Kingdom was a thing," Mamoru said, explaining to them, "Motoki has been my best friend." He looked over at Kenji when he said this. "If I missed my mark with Usako, she had a crush on him."

Ami sighed as she continued to scan Kenji. "You're not off your mark, Mamoru," she said, remembering. "There's one other boycrazy girl in this bunch who was in the same boat."

"Ami!" Makoto shouted, horrified.

"It's okay, Makoto," Neph said, taking her hand and kissing her fingers. "We would have figured it out, eventually." He winked at her which made her roll her eyes.

"We're just cementing connections," Kun said. "What about Motoki?" He looked over at Minako who stated she remembered.

Minako sighed. She really didn't want to say, but she knew she was going to have to. "Motoki's past self was Princess Serenity's betrothed," she said. She couldn't sit anymore and started pacing.

"I'm sorry, what?" Mamoru said with confusion.

"Oh, the irony," Kenji whispered to Yoshi who shook his head.

"Mamoru, you heard me," Minako said as she paced behind the couch. "You weren't the only one with a betrothed. They were childhood friends, as that's the typical way people on the Moon had done such things." She looked at Mamoru. "He came to me at some point weeks before the invasion and told me he realized her heart belonged to another, and he would do all he could to make sure she could get what she wanted because Princess Serenity's happiness was important to him."

"Me," Mamoru said. "He would have given her up because she wanted me, because she loved me."

"And that is the biggest difference between your betrotheds," Kun replied. "Queen Serenity and King Minos had a reason for doing what they did."

Mamoru looked over Kenji and Yoshi. "You think because of these connections that it will be in either the Fruits Parlor Crown or Game Center Crown?" he asked them.

"That's correct," Yoshi confirmed and scanned Mamoru's expression. "You're laying bets on one."

"I am," Mamoru agreed. "I think it's going to the Game Center Crown."

"Because of Motoki's connection to you this time and because of Motoki's connection to Usagi then?" Kenji asked.

"Exactly," Mamoru said.

At that moment, Ami finished scanning Kenji and read the results. Her eyes furrowed as read through the results. "Zoi," she said, calling him over. "I am reading this right, right?"

Zoi walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her from behind to read the results over her shoulder himself on her mini computer. As he read it over, his eyes furrowed as well. "What the…?" he said in shock.

Ami turned enough to look at his expression. "So it's not just me," she said. "I'm seeing what you're seeing."

"Yes, Ami, we're looking at the same thing, reading the same thing," Zoi said and kissed her temple. "Go ahead."

"Mr. Tsukino," Ami started. "I know why you're not remembering after we found out about the Tale of Two Crystals." She turned to Ikuko. "Even though you never had a chance to tell him, he already knew. Queen Serenity sealed his memory to give you a chance for you to remember and for you to tell him."

Ikuko's lips parted, understanding what Ami was trying to tell her. "I was going to wait until after everything settled," she told Ami. "Until after Beryl was defeated…"

"Ikuko, what are Ami and Zoi talking about?" Kenji asked with concern dripping from his voice. "What are you talking about?"

"I didn't even remember until Usagi mentioned the baby Princess Serenity was carrying," Ikuko said carefully. "I was already entertaining the thought of maybe in this life, and I thought maybe it was a sign from Queen Serenity."

"Ikuko, are you pregnant?" Kenji asked, putting together what Usagi and Mamoru told them the day before to what Ami just confirmed and his wife's expression.

"After everyone was in school or dragged elsewhere this morning, I was able to take a pregnancy test in peace and called the doctor who magically had an open availability today to confirm my suspicions," Ikuko told him. "We are going to have a baby." She walked over to Kenji and wrapped her arms around him.

Kenji wrapped his arms around her. "So if our baby was given another chance," he said as his eyes connected with Mamoru.

"Then the baby Princess Serenity was carrying will also have another chance," Mamoru said. "Usagi seemed to think it was going to be a girl. She thought I was destined to be a girl dad."

"She's right," Kenji said without thinking. "Sailor Guardians can only be girls." He stopped and then realized with excitement that he was pouring out information he had known in his past life. "Oh, wow!"

Ami smiled at Kenji. "Yeah," she said. "We find it happens like that a lot."

"Okay," Kenji said as he sat down on the seat Ami and Zoi had occupied together. "I wasn't prepared for that." He looked up at Mamoru. "Though, you seem to be the exception to the rule because of the Sun's relationship to the Earth and the Earth's relationship to the Moon."

"And The Tale of Two Crystals," Ami said.

"That too," Kenji said. He closed his eyes. He didn't know it was going to come this fast. "I need to slow down." He remembered what he and Ikuko had told Shingo yesterday. "But speaking of The Tale of Two Crystals, the prophecy had stated it was two monarch's sacrifice, one who held the Silver Crystal and the one who held the Golden Crystal."

"But that's not…" Ami said.

"In your computer?" Kenji asked. "Who do you think programmed what information would be on your mini computer?" He smiled at her. "Queen Serenity had ordered him to delete parts of that prophecy until you were ready to hear it."

"Then how…" Zoi started.

"King Minos had put it in the book knowing you would find it thinking Mercury had put it there," Kenji said, knowing they were talking about the book Sailor Mercury had given Zoisite. "Both Sophus and Ismene were aware Queen Serenity had a relationship with him before she married Princess Serenity's father who passed away before Serenity was born."

"It sounds like both Queen Serenity and King Minos knew this was going to happen," Artemis said. He walked over to Kenji. "At least on some level."

"I can't say for certain," Kenji said. He looked over at Ikuko.

"There was a lot Queen Serenity wouldn't share with me," Ikuko said. "So I can't say for certain, but if I had to make a guess, I think she did." She looked over at Mamoru then. "To give you and Usagi a chance at life and love in this time period."

At that moment, there was a knock on the door. "Who could that be at this hour?" Kenji asked.

"I hope you and Ikuko don't mind, Kenji, but I asked my wife to contact Motoki and Unazuki to come here," Yoshi told him. "I didn't think it would be a good idea to loiter outside of the Arcade."

Ikuko walked over and opened up the door to let the Furuhata Siblings in. "You two must be Motoki and Unazuki," Ikuko said.

"Yes, Ms. Tsukino, it's nice to finally meet you," Unazuki answered. "When we spoke to your husband and Detective Shin, we were skeptical, but it started making sense. I had a feeling it was connected with Usagi."

Motoki didn't say a word. He stared passed Ikuko to look over at Mamoru. "Mamoru…" he said. "You're here." He walked over to give Mamoru a one arm man hug.

"I'm sorry, Motoki," Mamoru said.

"You don't have to apologize for anything," he said. "I'm just glad to see you're alive." He looked around. "Oh, my God, Kun." And then spotted Jae. "Jae." He looked over at Yoshi. "I have had a class with all of them, and Mamoru's my best friend."

"And the connections just keep on coming," Artemis said amused.

"It didn't even click," Jae said. "That you were that Motoki."

"But we're here because Detective Shin said Motoki and I can find the link between the hideout of the Dark Kingdom to Tokyo," Unazuki said as she stood in the living room. "We'll talk about our past lives later when Usagi has been rescued." She did it subtle enough to remind her brother what their priorities should be.

Motoki cleared his throat and looked over at Yoshi. "What is your best guess?" he asked him.

"Game Center Crown," Mamoru told him, "because at first my connection to you, but it seems to also be Kun's and Jae's."

"Actually, it's also the other two here," Motoki said. He pointed to Neph. "He beat me in a dagger throwing contest."

Neph's mouth dropped as he was able to place where he saw Motoki. "I thought you looked familiar," he said. "I beat you in the semi-finals."

"Yeah, I'm still annoyed about that," Motoki said. "I really wanted those daggers."

As Motoki spoke, Zoi remembered why he knew Motoki's name. "You were supposed to be my guide at K.O. University," Zoi said. "We didn't meet, but you were supposed to show me around the campus."

"I was annoyed you didn't show up," Motoki said.

"Beryl had other plans," Zoi said.

"It seems like the five of you are sound of mind now," Motoki said. "And it seems I've lost two admirers." He winked at Makoto.

"Oh, for the love of…" Makoto said with a huff. Then her thoughts landed on Reika Nishimura, the Blue Rainbow Crystal carrier and Motoki's girlfriend. "But that reminds me, what happened to the Rainbow Crystal carriers that Prince Endymion had captured?"

"They were released after Sailor Moon healed him," Ryo told her. "They don't have any recollection of what happened and landed back where they were supposed to be." He looked over at Motoki. "She doesn't have any recollection."

"I suppose that's a good thing," Motoki said. "I don't think I want her to remember that." He looked over at his sister. "So we're taking thirteen people to the Game Center Crown?"

"Twelve," Ikuko said as her eyes connected with Kenji's. "I'm not going, and I can't leave Shingo by himself."

"Alright," Kenji said with understanding. He wouldn't voice this to her, but he would prefer she stay behind.

"Ami, Mako, you can leave your school bag here," Ikuko offered, knowing they were the only ones who hadn't gone home yet today.

"Thank you, Ms. Tsukino," Ami said, thinking that was and has always been an issue.

"If everyone is ready," Yoshi started, "we should get going, and you should wait to transform until we're at the arcade."

"That's not a bad idea," Kun told his dad with a wink.

"I'm allowed to come up with a few," Yoshi countered.

As Yoshi ushered them outside, Kenji lingered with Ikuko for a moment longer. He hugged her. "I know they can win," he told her. "I know they can find Usagi and win against the Dark Kingdom and Beryl."

"I know they can too," Ikuko agreed and wrapped her arms around him. "I love you, and bring everyone home."

"I will," Kenji promised. He kissed her then and walked out of his house he shared with his family. He promised himself he was going to see them, Ikuko and Shingo again, and meet the baby Ikuko was carrying.

xXx

It didn't take much time for all of them to get to Game Center Crown. When Motoki unlocked the door, he let everyone in, and when everyone was in, he locked the door behind him. "Do you know what you're looking for?" Motoki asked.

"Not exactly," Mamoru said. He looked over at Ami. "Ami?"

"I'm on it," Ami said. She took out her mini computer and started to scan the building.

Zoi had walked over to her and started discussing possibilities.

"It's good to see you, man," Motoki told him. "I've missed you. Though, I'm impressed Usagi gave you a chance."

"I don't know how much you know or remember, but when everything lifted, I realized I had fallen in love with Usagi," Mamoru told him. "When she threw that test paper at me, I felt something shift, and I didn't like the way it felt."

Motoki smiled and sighed. "And in Mamoru fashion, you fought against the unknown feeling," he said, knowing his friend. "You didn't know that feeling until you remembered Endymion?"

"That's correct," Mamoru said. "On top of all that, I was dreaming about Serenity who was begging me to find the Legendary Silver Crystal for her." He looked over at Motoki. "I knew she needed my help and on some level knew I had feelings for her." He sighed, struggling to explain. "And also having feelings for Sailor Moon."

Motoki grinned. "How relieved are you that they are all the same person?" he asked.

"More than you think," Mamoru told him. "Mrs. Tsukino told me these events happened for a reason. Did you know Shingo was born in the same hospital I was taken to after my accident?"

Motoki listened to his friend intently, knowing he wasn't done.

"Detective Shin was the officer who responded to the accident, and Mr. Tsukino is the one who wrote the article," Mamoru said and then sighed. "The little girl who told me she was going to my friend was Usako." As often as he was told it was love and connections, it was that one connection that had him holding him together.

"Usagi always makes friends easy," Motoki said. "People are always drawn to her." He looked over at Ami who was standing with Zoi. "She gets people to open up." Then I looked over to Makoto and Rei who were talking with Kenji, Yoshi, and Unazuki. "And she makes them feel safe." He looked over at Mamoru again. "She did that with everyone here. Especially you." He tilted his head. "I have never seen you more open than I have known you." He smiled at him. "You know I've alway seen Usagi as a younger sister, so I'm glad that she's in good hands with you."

"All by being who she is," Mamoru said. "Beryl had to brainwash me to get that from her." He looked down before he continued. "When she healed me, holding her felt like coming home."

Motoki smiled widened. "Seeing you happy is a pleasure I have thought I would see," he said. "Though I wonder how you feel about Rei and Jae." He paused and made a small hurling sound. "And they rhyme."

Mamoru stopped and grinned at him. "The universe likes to throw curveballs," he said, and because it was Motoki, he decided to answer the question. "As long as he makes her happy, and before you ask, he knows."

"I'll say," Motoki said. "Let's hope it's the last one for a while."

Mamoru lifted his hands. "We don't need anymore," he said. "No more surprises." He watched Motoki looking over at each of his Shitennou Knights.

"You want to know why I am different from Beryl?" Motoki asked. "Why Amnon is different from Beryl?"

"Well, yeah," Mamoru said. "How did that happen?"

Motoki smiled at him. "Well, in this life, I have Reika, and I'm sure Queen Serenity had something to do with that," he said. "But even in my last life, I had wanted Princess Serenity's happiness."

"She's always been important to you," Mamoru said with realization.

"Well, yeah," Motoki said. "She's my sister in every sense of the word except biological. You don't have anything to worry about when it comes to me."

xXx

A little further away from Mamoru and Motoki, Minako, Rei, Kun, Jae, Kenji, and Yoshi stood talking while Ami and Zoi formulated ideas and theories. Though Kun was worried about the conversation Mamoru was having with Motoki.

"You know you don't have to worry," Minako told him. She remembered what worry looked like on his face.

"I can't help it," Kun told her, watching them with a careful eye. "I really don't know Motoki. I just had one class with him."

Minako did say anything and just looked at him, giving him a knowing look.

Kun squirmed under that look. "I hated when you did that in past life," he said. "I really hate that you know how to do it now in this life." He sighed. "He's so different from Mamoru."

"You mean like Usagi?" Minako asked.

Kun glared at her. "I hate that you have a point," he said.

"Kun, he's always been open with Motoki," Rei told him. "He would do anything for Mamoru, and for Usagi." She looked over at Kenji. "He thinks of Usagi as his unofficial sister."

"Well, he thinks of all of us that way," Minako said. "Kind of annoyed some of us more than others."

Kun lifted his at her. "Maybe Ami should have mentioned three boy crazy girls," he said, teasing Minako.

Minako huffed and crossed her arms. Kun laughed and pulled her in for a hug.

"And why aren't you and Ami lumped into that group?" Kun asked Rei with curiosity.

"Because I was boy crazy over someone else," Rei said as she looked over at Mamoru. "And then shifted to Yuuichirou before landing on that one." She pointed at Jae. "Thank God." She grinned at Jae.

Jae pulled Rei over to him. "Thank God indeed," he said. He then whispered "Mine" into her ear who rolled her eyes at him.

"And with Ami, her sights were set on Ryo," Rei finished explaining to Kun. "We may be Sailor Guardians, but underneath everything, we are still teenage girls."

"Now everyone is with who they are supposed to be with," Jae replied.

One look at Rei told Yoshi how she felt about him phrasing that. "Jae, maybe you should quit while you're ahead," Yoshi told him.

"Uh…" Jae looked down at Rei and saw the look on her face. "Oh." He sighed and pulled her to a different area to talk to her away from prying ears.

"Oh?" Rei repeated. "Why are you…" She didn't even finish the question as he laid his lips on hers.

Jae's lips were soft and yielding. His hands framed her face. However, he let her set the pace, but he wouldn't let her escape until she gave in to him.

"Damn you, Jae," Rei said when he finally lifted his mouth from hers. "You make it hard for me to stay mad at you."

"You love me, or you would stay mad longer," Jae told her. He took her chin in his hand and lifted her chin to look at him. "You are mine because I love you." When she would have pushed, he continued. "I may get territorial over you after both Mamoru and Yuuichirou, but I will make my point."

Rei closed her eyes for a moment, knowing he wasn't going to release her chin from his grips, before opening them. "You don't need to make your point, Jae," she said. "I love you."

"We're going to pick fights with each other to prove our love to each other, aren't we?" Jae asked.

"Maybe," Rei said and kissed him again.

xXx

As Makoto laid her head on Neph's shoulder and watched Ami and Zoi work, she could feel him play with the tips of her hair. "I can't wait to get this done, and just be with you," Makoto told him.

"When this is over, my mom wants to invite you to dinner," Neph told her. When he felt her stiffen, he chuckled. "I can run interference if you need some time."

Makoto looked at him and glared at him. "I don't need you or want you to run interference," she told him.

"Alright," Neph said, swallowing a chuckle. He knew if Makoto needed it, he would help her even if she didn't tell him. He kissed her temple. "I love you." He wrapped his arms around her.

Unazuki came to them. "Do you have an idea what you're going to do once they find that opening?" she asked them.

"Knowing Kun," Neph said, "he probably has a few ideas." He looked down at Makoto. "Just know if you feel you shouldn't be going that direction, you probably should go that direction."

"When we're about to face Beryl, you mean?" Makoto asked him. She thought about what he was telling her.

"Yes," Neph answered.

xXx

Luna and Artemis stood far back away where nobody could hear them. "A lot has happened in the last couple of days," Luna told him.

"It has," Artemis agreed. "A lot of it has been touch and go for a while."

"It has," Luna said. "I wonder if I had been there this evening if Usagi had been kidnapped."

"We can't know that," Artemis said. "It may have made it worse." He kept his eye on Mamoru. He knew he held the direction Usagi was in. He wondered something and walked over to Mamoru without saying a word to Luna. "Mamoru."

Mamoru turned to look at Artemis. "What is it, Artemis?" he asked.

"You can sense which direction Usagi is in, correct?" Artemis asked.

"Yes," Mamoru said, confused, knowing everyone in this room was aware he had this ability. "What are you getting at?"

"I think you know where this opening is," Artemis told him.

Mamoru stared at him for a moment, grasping at his word. "Wait," he said, realizing Artemis may be on to something. He concentrated for another moment realizing he was feeling two pulls, not just one, because one was closer to the other. "Zoi, Ami!"

When they turned to look over at him, Mamoru waved both Zoi and Ami over. They both walked over to him. "What do you have?" Zoi asked Mamoru.

"A short cut," Mamoru told him. He pointed over to the Sailor Venus arcade games. "Try over there."

"Wouldn't that be ironic?" Artemis said.

Ami and Zoi walked over and analyzed the games. "Wait," Ami said. "Something is here." She looked over at Zoi. "Like an invisible door."

Zoi moved his hand through the area Ami's mini computer had indicated, and his hand had disappeared. He moved his hand back. "I think we found our entrance," he said. He looked over at Mamoru. "Nice job."

"It was his idea," Mamoru told them, pointing to Artemis. "I just followed up."

Luna walked over. "Mamoru, Artemis and I will stay behind as will the rest of us who are not a prince, a Sailor Guardian, nor a Shitennou Knight," she told him. "Go save our princess and bring her back to us."

"You need her more than you need us," Kun said.

"But we'll be with you every step of the way," Jae said.

"Even if you falter," Neph said.

"We'll be right there with you," Zoi said.

Mamoru sighed with relief and the boost of confidence helped, realizing now that he had his whole team back, they were falling back into place. It's a little different, but it is very much welcoming. "Alright," he said. "Let's go save my princess." He conjured the rose and transformed into Tuxedo Mask.

They all nodded and followed suit.

"Kunzite Power, Make Up!"

"Nephrite Power, Make Up!"

Zoi took a look at his stone. "Here we go," he said. "Zoisite Power, Make Up!"

"Venus Power, Make Up!"

"Jupiter Power, Make Up!"

"Mars Power, Make Up!"

"Mercury Power, Make Up!"

Tuxedo Mask took Sailor Moon's Moon Stick which still held the Legendary Silver Crystal and placed it inside of one of the larger inner pockets of his jacket.

"Now seeing them transform," Yoshi told Kenji, "it made us wonder why I didn't see it to begin with."

"Because you weren't looking for it," Kenji said, reminding him of what happened yesterday. "You were told where to look for your son."

"True," he said. He walked over to Kunzite. "Now I know how you felt after me and your mom walked over every door." He hugged his son. "Do everything you can to stay alive, but be there for each other."

"Alright, Dad," Kunzite said.

"Everyone, ready?" Tuxedo Mask asked.

When the Sailor Guardians and the Shitennou Knights nodded, Tuxedo Mask was the first to go through the invisible portal and they followed one by one.
