Notes: Dear readers, I apologize for the delay. I have been traveling more than usual in the last few months and have had little time to translate my stories. Tomorrow, I will post the second half of this chapter, and as "compensation" for the delays, I will also start posting Fate Changes.

That evening, they enjoyed dinner in the private dining room of the inn. As they dined, the conversation turned to the breathtaking sights they had seen that day. They were so excited by the day's experiences, that they unanimously decided there were several other places in the city they wanted to explore.

Kitty, brimming with excitement, was the first to broach the subject of prolonging their stay, ardently imploring her mother for at least an additional night. Equally eager, Georgiana echoed this sentiment as she turned to her brother, fervently inquiring if they could extend their visit.

Upon seeing the eager anticipation and enthusiasm in her daughters' eyes, Mrs. Bennet readily acquiesced to their request. With a tinge of regret evident in his words, Darcy replied, "Unfortunately, I must leave for London by the day after tomorrow at the latest for some pressing business meetings that cannot be changed. However, if Richard is willing to extend his stay, you can stay as well."

Richard immediately nodded, and Georgiana, overjoyed, exclaimed, "Thank you, Brother! Thank you, Cousin!"

Elizabeth's expression changed, showing a mix of surprise and disappointment as she processed the news. She found herself pondering the likelihood of meeting Mr. Darcy again in the near future. Sensing her daughter's change in mood, Mrs. Bennet asked, "Will you be returning to Ramsgate, Mr. Darcy?"

Darcy, also noticing Elizabeth's change in demeanor, offered a reassuring smile and answered "Indeed, Mrs. Bennet. I plan to return the day before Miss Bennet's birthday."

Elizabeth glanced up, locking eyes with Darcy, and a shared smile illuminated their faces.

After spent a few minutes discussing the places they wanted to visit, they agreed to prolong their trip by an additional three days.

As, Elizabeth and Darcy continued chatting, they delved into the many attractions of London. Darcy commented, "While I can appreciate the numerous attractions of London, there is something truly special about living in the country." He smiled, and added, "I am happier in the country."

Reflecting on her past, Elizabeth replied, "My father was never fond of London, but at my mother's insistence, he leased a house close to Hyde Park when Jane turned 17, and we spent two weeks there. We explored Hyde Park, browsed the shelves of Hatchards, strolled along Bond Street, and delighted in the menagerie. Two years later, when I reached 17, we returned for another two weeks. I cherished my first theater experience and also had the opportunity to visit the British Museum when Mary reached 17." After some contemplation of London and Longbourn, Elizabeth candidly acknowledged, "While my memories of London are filled with fondness and enjoyment, I concur with your sentiment. There is an undeniable allure to life in the country."

They both smiled.

Later, after dinner, since there was a piano in the corner of the room, Darcy encouraged both Georgiana and Elizabeth to perform.

As Elizabeth played, Darcy was entranced. He closed his eyes, a faint smile playing on his lips, as he was enveloped by a profound sense of tranquility and contentment. In that moment, he felt an overwhelming certainty that Elizabeth was destined to be his wife. His love for her was undeniable.
