Rachel became the voice of reason to the new members of glee. And i decided to add another character. He'll probably won't be a main character for my story.

Auditorium:

Will was sitting infront of the desk in the middle of the Auditorium, with rachel sitting beside her. Rachel was looking around the room and says "this is a stage play for new york". Will started laughing before saying "well, the school was paid well"

Rachel: so who's first?

Will grabbed the sign up sheet and see five names under rachel signature. "Kurt hudson, mercedes jones, tina cohan-chang, artie abrams, and rory Flanagan"

Will: kurt hudson

A minute later, kurt walked on stage, making rachel smiled and wave at him. He waved back before saying. "Hi I'm kurt hudson and I'll like to audition for New direction. And I'll be singing, there's nothing holding me back, sung by shawn mendes"

Will: whenever your ready, hudson

Kurt stood in the same spot while he sung

Kurt:

I wanna follow where she goes

I think about her and she knows it

Will and rachel nodded while watching kurt sung

Will looks at the sheet and looks at the name under kurt "mercedes jones." Later, the heavy african american woman was standing on the stage, looking at rachel and will, and kurt, who was sitting on one of the seats in the fourth row. She looks up and says, "I'm gonna be singing hotNcold by katy perry". The music started, and mercedes started to sing

Rachel was nodding from the beat as will took out another sheet, seeing tina name. Later, the goth chinese girl was standing on stage. "tina c-c-cohan-c-chang, and I'm s-singing i kissed a g-girl". Tina started singing right when the music played

Tina:

This was never the way I planned, not my intention

I got so brave, drink in hand, lost my discretion

Will put a check mark by tina name and looked at the next name "artie abram". Later, the wheelchair boy, was sitting on the stage while holding an electric guitar. "the name is artie and I'll be playing all star by smash mouth". Artie started playing the guitar and started singing

Will nodded at rachel, who was smiling. Will looked at the last name, "rory Flanagan.

Now on the stage, a boy with red hair, wearing a green shirt and jeans. He started talking in a very heavy irish accent. "Rory flanagan, and I'll be singing a sky full of stars by coldplay." He started singing when the music started playing

Will nodded at rory Audition before putting a check mark by his name. Will says, "rachel, meet your new team," he said as rory continued singing, making rachel smiled

Music room:

Will walk in the music room, seeing a piano set up by the whiteboard. A bleacher is standing across the room, filled with empty chairs. Musical instruments were sitting in a pile on the right side of the room. Will says, "Everyone. This is our club room".

Rachel, kurt, mercedes, tina, who is pushing artie, and rory walked into the room and looked around. Rory says, "Isn't kinda small?"

Will: Well, yeah. But this is the only room we could get. We'll make it work. Take a seat, guys, and we'll get started

Each member sat down randomly on the bleachers while artie rolled himself in front of them. Will says, "ok, i am pleased to see so many people wanting to sign up for new direction. So i wanna start our first day by one word. Nationals. " The group looked confused

Will: National is the highest competition of singing groups in the world. If we wanna get into national, we have to rehearse as a choir. I'll focus on getting more members, but in the meantime, figure out a song we can rehearse in the Auditorium. We need a group song, and a lead singer. Got it?

The group nodded. Will sat down beside the piano. Rachel turns to her new team and says, "ok, i don't know about you guys, but i have a perfect song i sang in the shower.

Mercedes: Excuse me, your opinion. You have a song already?

Rachel: well yeah

Mercedes: i admit, you were great during the pep ralley, but you have to let someone pick a song. And that's me

Tina: W-w-what song are you t-thinking

Mercedes looks at tina and says, "The only song that will work. Run the world, by my sister, beyonce. " Rory lean in and says, "Your beyonce sister!?". Mercedes gave him a confused expression. "No, leprechaun." Will looked up while setting his pen down, and looks at the group

Mercedes: it's a figure of speech, beyonce is my idol. And i sing pretty much just like her, and since i am the only one with experience, we should focus on the expert. We should pick something, with soul,

Kurt: i agree and disagree. Classic is where it's at

Mercedes: classic?

Rachel: This ain't gonna get us anywhere if we don't have a lead singer

Rory: i like what she speaks

Mercedes: Good idea, rach. But who? oh wait, me

Kurt: You can't just claim the lead singer

Mercedes: i am the only one with experience with singing

Kurt: You're acting like a diva

Rachel was looking at the two until tina took a seat closer. "What ab-bout me?" Mercedes sigh "with your stutter, please."

Artie: Hey, don't shame her stutter, i think it's nice

Tina smiled at artie. Rory says "well maybe i can take a leap and become, how you americans say it. Lead singer. " Mercedes says, "Not happening. With that accent. " Will looks at the group arguing while shaking his head

Teacher lounge:

Will was sitting with emma while drinking coffee. He says, "You should've seen it yesterday. They were arguing, i couldn't believe it. "

Emma: They're just not used to working together. C'mon, every club is like this

Will: i know that, but how am i supposed to help them get to nationals if they can't work together

Emma: Get them to know each other. I have to be honest. It's a very outcast group. You got a foreign exchange student, a goth, a paraplegic boy, a fashionable boy, and two aspiring singers. They probably never worked with a team before. Get them. That's the only way

Will: Maybe. I'll talk to them, but for now, i have to figure out how to get more students involved

Will notice shannon walking in the lounge and says. "Hey, shannon. Do you mind putting this up in the knights locker room?" As he took out a sign up sheet and hands it toward shannon, and she took it. "Yeah, sure, i don't see any of my guys signing up, but let's hope,"

Boys locker room:

Finn was taking his football jersey out of his locker and was putting it on. The mohawk jock was tying his shoe before saying. "Hey, do you think that new girl is hot?" Finn chuckled before saying. "i already have a girlfriend," as he closed his locker. The boy says "oh c'mon she's not here,"

Finn: you are so horny

The boy laughed until shannon walked the room. "hudson, puckerman, enough foreplaying. Practice is in a few minutes. " Shannon blew her whistle. "And can i have everyone attention?". The entire football team walked up, and a couple sat down. Shannon held up the sheet. "This is a sign up sheet. To the new glee club that Mr. schuester is running. " One player says, "Nobody gonna sign up for that gay club." Finn was shaking his head toward him,

Shannon: Hey, karofsky, i won't have that talk in my locker room. And for your information, a couple of people already signed up, that new girl we saw sing during the prep ralley. And mercedes jones, tina cohan-chang, artie abrams, rory Flanagan, and finn Brother, kurt hudson

Finn gave a shock expression as shannon pinned the sheet on the end of one of the locker rows. "If any of you are interested, sign up here. And don't mess with it. I'm looking at you, karofsky. Now get ready and be on the field in 5 minutes. " shannon walked away. The jocks got up and grabbed their equipment before walking out. Puck patted finn shoulder before walking out. Azimio walked up to finn and says "hey, so your brother gay." Finn says, "Don't talk about my brother." Karofsky walked up and says "oh please, that other hudson boy is so gay. I bet he wears makeup. " The boys laugh before walking out as finn clenching his fist before following the group to the field

Football field:

Shannon blew her whistle and watches as the football players started practicing on the field, while the cheerios were stretching by the bleachers. When finn caught the ball and ran to the end zone, quinn started clapping her hands. "YEAH, GO BABY"

Brittany: i don't think he heard you

Quinn laughed while shaking her head before talking to santana. "Hey, how are you and Puck been doing?". Santana shrugged. "Ah, we broke up." Quinn looks at santana with a shock expression. "What? why?". Santana says, "i looked at his report card. How am i supposed to be with someone who has all D, including the gym? How do you get a D in Gym?". Brittany laugh

Quinn: You are so picky with boys. First it was Matt, you and him broke up because of his football skills

Santana: hey, if you can't catch the ball. You shouldn't go out with a cheerleader

Santana grabbed a bottle of smoothie and took a sip. Brittany took out her phone and opened up a video, and put up the volume, gaining quinn and santana attention. The two stood behind brittany, seeing rachel performing on the pep ralley. Santana says, "You should know if Sue sees you watching that. It'll be worse than whatever you'll be thinking".

Brittany turned her head to look at santana and asked. "Why?". Santana shook her head. "She hates singing." Brittany says, "Oh c'mon; it's a fun club. The new girl is having fun, and I'm a good dancer.

Quinn: i will admit, it does looks. Ok. But we're cheerios, we can't be around clubs like that one

Brittany: your brother-in-law signed up

Quinn looks confused before saying. "i don't have a brother-in-law. What are you talking about?". Brittany looks at quinn and says, "kurt. Finn brother, is he your brother-in-law. " Santana laughs while walking away. quinn says, "i am not married to finn. We're just going out. Why should i care that kurt in the glee club? " Brittany shrugged before she looked back at the video. Santana slowly stood up and looked at the video, staring at rachel while she was singing

Classroom:

Will guided rachel in the classroom. "Is everything ok, mr schuester". Will shook his head as he sat by his desk. "Well. Not really, i couldn't help but notice you and the other students arguing. " Rachel slowly nodded. "we sorta had a disagreement, but i am sure,

Will: it's not about being sure. Look, you all haven't worked together, but you're a team, and you need to act like it

Rachel: what do you want me to do about it?

Will: rachel, i see something in you that you don't see yourself. You have a leader voice. And i believe you should use that to lead these groups of kids

Rachel looks shocked while looking at Will. "Mr. schuester, have you thought this through?". Will nodded. "i can't run those kids while settling performances and still do my job. I need help. You are the captain of New Direction. Lead them. " Rachel sighed while looking down

At mercedes locker, she was taking a couple of books out of her locker and closed her locker, and saw rachel standing behind her locker door. "mercedes, i know we have some disagreement during our first meeting, but i feel like we should talk one by one." Mercedes sighs before walking away

Rachel: maybe we should think of a song, you think of five, and I'll think of five

Mercedes: i already know your songs, and no

Rachel: you haven't even heard any of them yet

Mercedes: i sang all my life. And not in private either, yeah Mr. schuester told me about you. I have more experience, and i deserve to be the lead singer

Rachel: i was right, you're a diva

Mercedes stopped walking and turned around. "What did you call me?" she said with anger. Rachel looked through the books in her hand until she took out a dictionary and flipped through the pages. "D, page 173. Diva, an aspiring female singer, it also means a self-important person who is temperamental and difficult to please, typically used of a woman. " Rachel closed the dictionary and looked at mercedes. "i had the feeling you were one when we argued in the meeting." Mercedes slapped the dictionary out of rachel hand. "So you're saying I'm difficult. At least i am not a scared girl who sings alone in the bathroom. You couldn't pick somewhere nicer at least, " she said before walking away

rachel: why are you mean to me

Mercedes: you give singers a bad name

Mercedes walked out of the school as rachel grabbed her books and walked away.

Teacher lounge:

Will was pouring some cream in his coffee as Sue walked in the room and pushed two tables that were in her way and kicked a chair down. Sue walked up to Will table and slammed her hands on the table. "You ok?" will says

Sue: i just came out of figgins office. Figgins! And do you know why?

Will: why?

Sue: he just cut my budget from the cheerios. For your club, now i don't know what you're thinking. But my cheerios helped keep this school running smoothly. This school won't work well without my cheerios. Shut down your club

Will shook his head "no". The teachers in the room scooted away as Sue gave a shock expression. "No!?". Will shook his head. "Not this time, sue. People are always scared of you, but i found students actually excited for something. And they have a shot for the big times. " Sue says "your kidding yourself. Those kids can't do nationals"

Will: You're gonna have to watch them do it. I am not gonna let you do this anymore. I am gonna teach those kids their full potential. I'm sorey about your budget, but it's necessary

Sue shook her head before walking out of the room. Will took a deep breath before taking a sip of his coffee while his hand was shaking slightly

Gym locker room:

Finn was closing his locker while putting in his jacket as kurt ran up. "Hey, finn. Glad i caught you. " Finn made a confused expression. "kurt, what are you doing in here?"

Kurt: New direction is working on a song, and we're picking each group song. And i can't find my ipod, did you take it

Finn nodded before opening his locker and reach in, but gets bumped into his locker, making him turn around seeing dave and azimio. "hey, if it ain't the brother and sister duo"

Finn stood back from his locker and says "guys. What's your problem?". David says, "Your brother is trying to get a look at us." Finn says, "What? dude, he's not gay. He's just very fashionable. "

Azimio: he's not allowed in this room

Finn: Don't talk to kurt like that

Kurt: Look, I'm just gonna go

David: yeah, go. Lady

Finn push dave away and says "stop making fun of him". Dave pushed finn back before finn ran up and tackled dave at the lockers, but dave pushed him away, and he fell over the bench and landed on the floor while his legs hit the lockers across from davis and azimio. "FINN!". Kurt yelled and ran toward finn while the two ran away.

Music room:

Kurt walked into the room, and see rachel standing by the piano. She walked up and says "kurt, i just heard what happened, i am so sorry. Is finn ok?". Kurt whispers "h-his knee was injured from the impact. The nurse took him to the hospital. My parents are with him right now."

Rachel: I'm sorry. I had to hear it through the school

Kurt: it's because of me

Rachel gave kurt a confused expression with her mouth partly open. "What does that mean?". Kurt says, "finn always been looking after me. And he got hurt because these two meat heads were making fun of me when i joined glee. I shouldn't sign up. "

Rachel: kurt, i know I'm still technically new to this school, but was it that guy who pushed you in the hall when i started here?

Kurt: and his friend

Rachel nodded. "Then you can't blame yourself. They are just jerks who took it far. I don't know why they did it, but you can't let that affect your judgment. You're a nice guy, kurt. Don't let them do this. " Kurt says, "I'm gonna head to the hospital to see finn. I won't be at the meeting after-school". Rachel nodded. "i understand." Kurt walked out of the classroom, just when tina walked in the room while pushing artie. And rory was following the two. All three look at kurt with a confused expression. "Is he ok?" artie ask

Rachel: family emergency. Where's mercedes?

Tina: s-she's not coming

Rory: she says she doesn't wanna be part of this club after she heard you're the captain of new direction

Rachel looks at the three while making a shock and irritated expression. "What?!". Rachel dropped her books on the ground and ran out of the music room. Rory looks at tina and quickly says, "It looks like we're gonna have a free period." Tina looks at artie and says, "i ca-ant u-understand his accent-t."

Rachel was walking through the hallway and looked around until she found mercedes coming out of a classroom. "You're just gonna walk away from us? just like that. "

Mercedes: You're the captain, I'm sure you'll manage

Mercedes walked away. Rachel started following her. "mercedes you can't do this. You're already a great singer, and i can't let you walk away. New direction needs you. We need you. " Mercedes stopped walking and stood in front of the school doors to the parking lot. Mercedes turned around and says "they already have you." Rachel makes a confused expression. "What?"

Mercedes: i was in the pep rally when you sang. And you were. Amazing, you all don't need me when they have your voice

Rachel: Wait. This is why you been mean to me? you think I'm a better singer than you?

Mercedes: You are a better singer than me. And that's my problem with you. You've been singing by yourself your whole life. I've been singing in front of everyone. In my church choir, dinner parties, i even sang during my brother's wedding, and you show up and take the spotlight. I can't go against you

Rachel: i am not the best singer, mercedes. We are all equal. That's the reason Mr. schuester started the New Direction. When i started, i was already a blacksheep to the school. Nobody talked to me. I was teased for having two fathers. I was thrown in a dumpster by the cheerios. And a slushie was thrown into my face, of course you know that you were present

Mercedes looked down while chuckling. "i actually forgot that was you." Rachel says, "i am sorry that i made you feel this way. That wasn't my intention. Singing makes me feel whole. I am who i am. If you still wanna quit, then go ahead, I won't stop you, but if singing really is your passion. Then don't let someone like me stop you for doing what you love. " Mercedes continued looking down. "If you do, then that proves you might not handle the competition in the future. A glee meeting is tomorrow. I'm just letting you know. " Rachel turned around and walked away. "and just for the record. I think you are a better singer than me. " rachel added while walking toward the music room as mercedes looked down

Hudson house:

The front door was opened by kurt, who was holding a duffel bag. His mother and father, burt and carole hudson, were guiding finn in the house, with his left knee wrapped up in gauze. And he was holding a set of crutches. Finn almost fell down from the steps, but burt caught finn by wrapping his arm around his shoulder and holding his chest. "Whoa, take it easy." Burt helped finn up on his foot and helped him over the steps. Carole says, "Just head to the couch. You need to rest your leg."

Finn walked up toward the couch and fell on his side. He pulled himself up and lay down on his back. Carole lifted finn leg up and set a pillow down under his leg before setting it down. "How's your leg?" his mother asked

Finn: just hurts

Burt: i can't believe this happened to you. Who did this to you?

Finn: Just some guy, i don't know who he is

Burt: Finn, we both know you saw who did this. Tell us

Carole: burt, he's in pain right now. We need him to rest

Burt slowly nodded. "Sorry, finn. But when something like this happens to one of my sons, I can't sit this one out. But, I'll let you settle down and get some rest, and you're not gonna use this excuse to get out of school, " burt jokingly says, making finn laugh

Finn: i hope my leg heals up enough to get back at football

Carole: The doctor said your leg needs to heal. Until then, you can not play football for a few weeks

Burt: im sorry this has to happen during football season

Finn sighed while looking down. Burt and carole walked into the kitchen while kurt set the bag down beside finn. "i-i got your stuff from your locker. Coach beiste says to hold onto this stuff until your leg heals. She said you're her best quarterback. " Finn chuckled before saying. "Thanks, bro." Finn looks at kurt and sees his red eyes. "Wait, have you been crying? what's wrong?"

Kurt: it's my fault

Finn: What, kurt, this wasn't your fault

Kurt: it is. If i never joined New Direction, karofsky and azimio wouldn't have done this to you

Finn: Don't blame yourself. Those guys did this to me because they are bullies. They have been picking on you ever since i joined the knights. And i always stood up for you

Kurt: But i pushed them to do this. I'm thinking about quitting

Finn slowly sat up and says "quit, no kurt, you can't quit." Kurt says, "It's my fault. You always protected me, and what did you get. A busted knee and football taken away from you. " Finn says, "A knee can heal, and there are gonna be future games. No permanent injuries, the doctor says. But being part of something you love, that's forever. If you quit, then karofsky and azimio win. And i don't want that. " Kurt shed a tear before wiping it away. "finn, i am sorry, though." Finn says, "i can forgive you if you join the glee club." Kurt smiled before walking away. Finn says, "Hey, kurt, one more thing. Are you gay?". Kurt became stiff and stood in the same spot for a second before talking. "No." Finn slowly nodded. "ok, it's ok if you are, though." Kurt took a deep breath before walking upstairs

Sylvester office:

Sue was standing while looking at her shelf that was holding her trophies. "You were supposed to play the psychological card. Not bust a knee to my head cheerio boyfriend. " Sue turned around and looked at both David and azimio. "we're sorry, we didn't mean for finn to get hurt. It was an accident, " azimio said while looking down ashamed

David: But, we did what you said. The other hudson looked shook up when that happened. He'll probably quit

Sue: Yeah, a family member getting hurt, but that was still over the line. You should've done what i did to that jones girl

24 hours earlier:

Mercedes was walking in the hallway and turned her head to see Sue following her. "Ah, mercedes. I heard you sign up for the glee club. "

Mercedes: We call it New Direction

Sue: i see. I saw you at church, you sang good. Too bad that rachel Girl is there. She'll probably be the lead singer

Mercedes looks at Sue and says "mr schuester promise us equal lead singing, beside we haven't picked a song yet." Sue says "your probably right, i mean, it would bother me if i hear a girl who sang by herself all her life and took the lead role, i would feel like a failure, but it's mature to see it hasn't affected you". Sue walked away while mercedes stopped walking and looked around with a nervous expression

Present time:

Sue looks at the boys and says, "That shows commitment, boys. Now go. " David and azimio stood up and walked out of the sue office, passing quinn, santana, and brittany. Quinn says "ms sylvester, everyone is at the field, waiting." Sue stood up and says "alright girls, let's practice."

Santana: But, what were karofsky and azimio doing here

Sue: Do not worry about that, santana. It's just business

Sue walked out while the girls shared a look

Music room:

Rachel was sitting on one of the chairs with rory, tina, and artie was parked beside them. Will was standing by the piano while looking where the group was watching. The music room door, waiting for a few minutes

Will looked down before saying. "Sorry, guys. I guess we need to find new members. " Rachel looked down until the music room door opened up, making her look up and see kurt walking in with a smile. Making rachel smile before walking up and giving him a hug. Tina and artie started clapping while rory got up and gave kurt a hug. Rachel looked at the door and saw mercedes slowly walking in. Rachel let go of kurt and walked up to mercedes. "You came," she said while standing in front of her

Mercedes: Yeah, i thought about what you said. Gotta get used to a little competition, even if she's my glee captain

Rachel smiled before giving mercedes a hug. Will smiled before saying. "i heard about the drama these last two days. Kurt, I'm sorry about finn. " Kurt looked down. "and mercedes and rachel arguments." Rachel and mercedes looked at each other

Will: But i hope some of you thought of a song to perform

Mercedes: Mr. schuester, i think we should pick whatever rachel chooses

Rachel smiled before saying. "i did think of our first group song,"

Sue was walking in the hallway with quinn, santana, and brittany. "You guys need to work better. Brittany, i saw your leg jerking during the pyramid. Why is that?"

Brittany: Sorry, my leg was cramping, i didn't have a banana today

Sue: If we're gonna head to national, you can't cramp up. Electrolytes, only water for my field

Sue stopped walking when she heard music from the auditorium. "What is that?"

Auditorium:

Will was sitting on one of the seats, watching the group performing on the stage

Kurt, mercedes, tina, rory, and rachel were standing in a line while artie was sitting beside the band and playing the guitar

Rory and kurt:

Do, do, do, do

Mercedes, tina, and rachel:

Dah, dah, dah, dah, dah

Mercedes walked up toward the edge and started singing

Mercedes:

Mercedes looks at rachel, who walked up and started singing herself

Rachel:

Artie continued playing the guitar while mercedes and rachel continued singing together

Rachel:

The smell of wine and cheap perfume

Kurt, rory, and tina walked up and sang with the two

Mercedes, tina, rory, and kurt ran up behind rachel, and each grabbed a mic stand and sang background

Tina ran up toward artie and grabbed his handles and started spinning him around as he did a guitar solo. Sue walked into the auditorium with quinn, santana, and brittany behind her. Sue glare at will direction while the group continued singing

Finn, using his crutches, walked into the other side of the Auditorium and smile seeint kurt

All:

The five bow their heads as the lights went off. Will clapped his hands as he stood up, and walked toward the stage and says "great job, guys. Each of you did your part"

Mercedes: that was good?

Will: you all did great, but we need to be better. If we wanna head to national, you ready?

The six nodded with a smile on their faces. Will says "then let's get to work"

Now i know this isn't gonna be everyone favorite story, and i don't blame you. People will love story like this and some will not. Remember this is completely AU. I feel like this show could've been better. Just give it a chance
