Chapter 3: The Illusion

Again, a blurred transition of Amy waiting for Sheldon. But in her isolation, Amy began to retreat into a delusional world where their son was still alive. She set up his room as if he were still there, preparing meals for him and talking to him as if he were listening.

Days turned into weeks. Amy rarely left the house, lost in her fantasy. She wandered if their son gone up while she was preparing his meals. She wandered through the rooms, her actions mechanical, her conversations with her son an echo of her desperate need for comfort. She left home to find her son outside.

Sheldon, meanwhile, was coming to terms with his own mistakes. He realized the depth of his negligence and the impact of his actions on Amy.
