Season 3 Episode 10: Titanium Ninja

Three months later...

Three months after coming back to the superhero life, Peter was now a sort of team member of the Ninjas along with Nya and Misako as well. It was a somewhat bumpy ride and an interesting experience for Peter as they continued fighting against the Overlord to prevent him from becoming the Golden Master. While this adventure went on, Peter and Nya grew slightly close as she began to grow some feelings for the fellow young hero as he wasn't trying to impress Nya to get her attention on purpose. Right now, Peter in his Iron Spider-Man suit, Nya AKA Smaurai-X, Sensei Wu and Garmadon, and the Ninja are in New Ninjago City with the Overlord taking over/destroying the city.

Peter was with Nya on crowd control after her mech was shot down from the sky. They were helping citizens to get to the sewers where they would be safe and be able to get out of Ninjago as well. As they were evacuating people, a doctor ran over to Peter and told him, "We need your help! The hospital is being overrun with Nindroids and we don't have anything to defend ourselves with!"

Peter tells him, "Understood," he turns to Nya and tells her, "Help this guy into the sewers - I need to swing to the hospital ASAP!"

Before he swings off, Nya stops him and says to him, "Wait! Are you sure you want to go over there alone? It's dangerous, especially with the Overlord - -"

Peter cuts her off, "Nya! Relax," he tries to calm her as they hold each other's hands. He then tells her to reassure her, "I'm a hero, fighting against the odds is what we do. But most of all; I'm Spider-Man I'm supposed to get back up after getting from a punch or a building being dropped on me." He then says to her, "No matter what happens - I will always keep on fighting." He says as he begins to run off to get the momentum going, "Be sure to keep on helping with civilians - I'll make it back. I swear!" He tells her before swinging off towards the hospital.

Time skip and location switch...

Peter eventually arrives at the hospital and sees it is on fire from the fourth to the second floors. He also sees the Nindroids attacking citizens as well. Peter moves quickly lands behind the Nindroids and begins to fight them one by one. It took Peter about fifteen minutes to destroy the Nindroids. He proceeds to help the citizens, doctors, and patients, injured before or during the attack. He soon helps the doctors, nurses, patients, and civilians through the sewers to get them out of the city. Peter was told that they just realized that one of their child patients was resting after going through surgery on the fourth floor where the fire started.

He rushed into the hospital as fast as possible and began going through the floors, despite the heat and the smoke getting in the way.

He spent five minutes looking through the fourth floor looking for the child patient. He eventually finds the child who hid in one of the motion-opening doors without a door knob. Peter grabbed the kids and was about to swing out of the hospital to get them to safety. He swung out of the hospital and landed near a doctor who took the child and carried him into the sewer. Peter tells the head doctor, "Help everybody out of the city! If you see the Serpintine, don't worry they're there to help!"

The head doctor asked, "Where are you going?"

"I'm going back to the fire! I need to make sure that there isn't anyone else left behind." And so he rushed into the fire once again to be a hero.

...

The Ninjas stood tall on top of a building facing and across from Borg Industries where the Golden Master had stationed himself with his golden web stretched and covered all of Ninjago. He snarls at the Ninjas, "Fools - do you believe that you can stop me? ME?! I am the Golden Master! I have the power of the First Spinjitsu Master!" He says as he prepares to fight the destroy all that they hold dear.

Lloyd shouts back, "You may have the First Spinjitsu Master's power - but what you don't have - Is us! As long as we stand there is nothing that we can't do!"

Wu and Garmadon then shoot a pill at the Overlord's mouth that would shrink him down to size. But the plan fails when Pythor jumps in and swallows the pill instead and turns small. Seeing their foolish attempt to stop him. He calls out their mistake and captures them in his web. Even with the armor of the Stone Army - they could not break through the web. Just then, Overlord had a wicked idea. He smiles wickedly, "You thought that you could defeat me with something so small - and failed. This, this what failures of war experience, when they fail to destroy an enemy!" He presses a couple of buttons on his robotic throne and a missile launcher is extended outward. "Observe what happens who fools believing in the light, fighting for what is right, like your arachnid friend." This shocks them as he fires a missile. at the hospital that Peter was still looking for anyone inside. "Let the death of your arachnid friend be a sign - a warning to all those who oppose me - that fighting for the weak will have you obliterated. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!"

In the far distance, on top of a skyscraper, Nya tracks where the missile is heading and knows where it is.

"Peter..."

She makes quick work and tries to contact Peter on her comm device.

With Peter... Peter was on the third floor he knew that there were people still in the hospital and helped those hiding on the first, and second floors out of the burning hospital. He moved on to the third floor where the fire was still raging on. As he was mid-way into his search through the fire and smoke, his spider sense tingled. He runs towards a nearby window and sees a missile coming straight towards the hospital. And ultimately him as well.

"Peter, you should be happy to know that I am not detecting any more life signals in the building." The personal A.I. then tells him, "Peter, I'm getting a call from Nya. Requesting an urgent call. Should I answer?"

Peter was happy that there was no one else in the hospital except for him. But the missile was still coming towards the hospital at an alarming speed. Even if he did get out, he wouldn't make it out of the blast radius. "Thank you, Karen," he swallows his saliva, "I'm glad to have you by my side through and through.

He closes his eyes as he says, "I'll see you soon, Uncle Ben."

With Nya...

"Hi, you reached Peter Parker please leave a message after the beep. BEEP"

Nya was about to say something when the missile finally hit the hospital.

BBBBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

The sound of the explosion was so loud that Nya and the Ninja could hear it from afar. From the high vantage point, Nya could see the destruction of the hospital and ultimately the death of Spider-Man.

The shockwave from the explosion carried one item of Peter Parker AKA Spider-Man throughout the city: His charged and singed mask.

A month later...

After The Overlord bombed the hospital and bragged to the Ninja about the demise of their ally, the team was shocked to hear. Overlord thought that the death of their friend and ally would put them in a state of weakness for him to strike them down with his Golden Armor. But he was wrong. He caused Zane to push further and defeat the Overlord in the memory of Peter as he too sacrificed himself to defeat the Overlord and won. The victory came with a heavy cost to Zane's life as well as he too died that day.

A month later, today actually, the funeral was held for both Zane and Peter Parker. Some couldn't call it a funeral since there was nobody to bury for either hero. Instead, the people of Ninjago, The Ninja, Senseis Wu, Garmadon, Misako, and Nya, came to the central park to pay respects to the fallen heroes of Ninjago. Pixal stayed in the Borg Industries building as she wasn't exactly ready to be at the funeral - Zane's death, much like Nya with Peter, was hard on her as well. Everyone sat in rows of seats, facing two tall items that were covered in a sheet for a reveal later next to the tall items were large portraits of Peter and Zane smiling. Cyrus Borg spoke for their epilogue as he sat in front of the people who came to pay their respects, he begins, "I used to think that technology was the answer to all of our problems, but then I saw that technology invented new problems. Devastating problems. And then a Nindroid named Zane saved us all. A hero from a different universe from far away died saving others his name was Peter Parker. Zane was the perfect balance between us and technology. Peter was an example of what we must do when we're granted or given great power and the sacrifices that must be made to ensure all are safe. They taught us that life should be a balance. Technology can improve our lives, but so can people. And if we focus on one at the expense of others, that's when the balance is off. Our city will find its way again, but this time with Zane as our compass and with Peter as our friend. With that, I give to you all -" He then pulls down the sheets revealing two statues. One dedicated to Zane and one dedicated to Peter. They both stood tall and side by side, "The Titanium Ninja and The Iron Spider." He then adds, "It's hard to believe that such a boy like Peter came to our world after his universe suffered a great loss. When he first came here, he saw a new life, a new beginning, he believed that the world didn't need him. I wonder to myself; if the evil never returned, would Peter still be alive? Then I realized; no. Because no matter what evil, new or old, Peter would still give his life to protect the innocents. I ask us all to bow our heads in silence to remember and honor the memories of Zane the Ice Ninja and Peter Parker the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man - a hero from across the multiverse who showed us all what sacrifices must be made to save others."

After the funeral in the dead of night...

Nya came alone to the park and delivered flowers to her fallen friends. She placed five flowers in front of Zane's statue. She walked over to Peter's statue looked at the plaque dedicated to him, and read it out loud, "'Here lies Peter Parker - The Spider-Man. Who died to save so many with so much at stake." She then looks back at the statue. "I have some things to say to you, things that I - wished I had to chance to tell you before you," she sheds a tear as it falls across her cheek. "I, uh, never really met anyone like you before we met. You were, different from the boys I've met. Mainly because you weren't scared of Kai and his big protective brother routine. But you were, different. Don't take it the wrong way, I mean it in a good way. True you had your jokes and your quips but you did it just to keep us in the light. So we can never be consumed in darkness or stress." She sighs as she continues, "You, you never treated me or even looked at me like I was this damsel in distress you treated me like I was a real hero or a real challenge rather than looking at me like I was a girl." She thinks back to a memory before Peter died and smiles. "Back after we shut the power, you asked me, me, of all people instead of my brother, Jay, Cole, or Zane to help you train to get back to fighting shape and I appreciated it trust me. When we were training you, you treated and looked at me like I was a real threat or a real challenge even though I didn't have any elemental powers at all. And you didn't try to get my attention or be part of some kind of competition for me, you just, got me to like you on accident. I don't think you realized that you knew that I was falling for you. I just think that..." She looks down in despair. "I never got the chance to tell you this, but, I, I, I," she struggles to say these words:

"I love you, Peter. And now, I'm never going to be able to tell you how I feel. Ever."

She soon places a flower on his statue. She stands there for another five minutes before walking away and heading back to the Monastery. Thinking that her last interaction with Peter was the last.

However unknown to her and the Ninja...

Peter Parker The Spider-Man would return to them.

But as the reunion that anyone would have thought of.
