Chapter 16
Hinata spent her day in a daze.
Not the five hours shift at the hospital, nor Ino's one sided argument about abandoning her with the admittedly smoking (Ino's words) Kazekage, not even her father's lecture about her failure of bringing worthwhile intelligence, could take Hinata's mind of off Sasuke.
Sasuke.
Sasuke who walked into her life seemingly out of nowhere.
Sasuke who decided to offer her training to (an she quotes)"help alleviate his boredom".
Sasuke who didn't hold back his remarks or his punches.
Sasuke who calls her 'princess' in that sarcastic aggravating tone.
Sasuke who was ruthless and an absolute slavedriver when it comes to her training.
Sasuke who was also kind.
Sasuke who made sure she was healed before sending her home.
Sasuke who never berated her when she screwed up.
Sasuke who listens to her remarks and ideas.
Sasuke who takes her seriously.
Sasuke who never judges her.
Sasuke who reminds her of her worth.
Sasuke who teases her constantly.
Sasuke who held her tenderly.
Sasuke who was a great teacher but an even greater friend.
Sasuke who changed the rules.
Sasuke who allowed her to step out of the chackles that have been holding her all her life with his fire techniques and lightening Jutsus.
Sasuke who last night completely shattered the restrains by handing her the key to her freedom.
For although the apprenticeship contract was such a convoluted Sasuke-way to further give her family the middle finger, since he for some reason developed a level of distain for them that riveled what an Aburame felt towards pesticides. It was also much more than that.
It wasn't that now she had the option of participating in the tournament.
It was that she had the option of refusing her clan's demand. Because she wasn't just the Hyuuga heiress anymore.
The Uchiha clan had claimed her too. She was theirs/his in a way.
But it wasn't an ownership the way her clan owned her because whether the rest of Konoha wanted to admit it or not, everyone with the Hyuuga name belonged to the Hyuuga and ergo their lives was run by them.
However now, she was also a ward of the Uchiha clan and therefore under its protection.
An apprentice under the Uchiha clan head, with the freedom to tell her clan no, because maybe what they are asking from her wouldn't align with what the Uchiha wanted. With what she wanted.
Because they couldn't make her. Since it would mean provoking the wrath of the Uchiha clan.
A one-man clan, but one hell of a man to provoke.
Even the Hyuuga elders aren't that stupid.
Hinata was left gasping at the notion that her clan couldn't make her do anything any longer; They couldn't make her withdrawal from the tournament, they couldn't make her stop being a medic-nin, they couldn't make her marry someone she didn't want to.
She was free.
She was free!
Sasuke Uchiha had set her free.
And so it was no wonder that she spent her day in a daze of: Sasuke, Sasuke, Sasuke.
Hinata was waiting for the onslaught of overwhelming emotions of gratitude, pride, joy, excitement and another she didn't dare put a name to yet, to pass before going to meet with him as promised.
Or she might end up embarrassing herself like she did last night when she threw herself in his arms.
It could've been worse of course if she had listened to that small crazy voice in her head that told her to kiss him.
God that would've been mortifying.
Hinata sat for an additional thirty minutes waiting for her blush to subside, because her brain decided to put her in a new type of daze of: Sasuke, Sasuke, Sasuke.
The kunoichi looked at the clock hanging in her office and sighed, knowing she'll need another thirty minutes to push down whatever else was tangled with her feelings of gratitude for the Uchiha.
Because as she previously told two mischievous kunoichi: She was not going to have a crush on Sasuke Uchiha!
Except that…
Except that he held her so gently when they danced, and he comforted her with his touch and words, and he believed in her and pushed her to be stronger without actually pushing her.
Except that he was beautiful and caring and a good man.
And why did he have to make her head spin with his teasing remarks, his smile, his words, his everything.
And damn it now was an inconvenient time to discover that she was attracted to the tall, dark and handsome Uchiha.
The Hyuuga Heiress groaned burying her face in the crooks of her elbows.
What am I going to do?
Nothing.
She was going to do nothing. It'll pass. It has to.
Because she had more important things to do; like preparing for the tournament.
Hinata felt excitement coursing through her at the thought of competing, for once she felt that she had a decent shot at doing well in it.
She knew she wouldn't be an embarrassment like her clan thought because Sasuke chose her to represent his clan and knowing that famous Uchiha pride, he wouldn't have if he didn't think she could.
And because he believed in her, she had to focus on not failing that belief by putting a lid on her bubbling definitely-not-a-crush thing she was developing and get down to business.
And so, with a sense of determination and a bit of denied giddiness, Hinata set off to find her new mentor.
Sasuke observed the running kunoichi from his perch on the roof.
She was making her way down the street to the edge of Konoha with a pep in her step. Almost as if she was skipping.
It was cute. Very cute.
Especially with that determinate look on her face.
Was she excited to see him?
He felt that warmth in his chest spreading again at the idea that he might be the reason for that extra bounce in her step.
Don't be ridiculous.
Hinata was just a genuinely happy person.
Yes, but she's a little extra happy today.
That much was obvious from her contagious smile that seemed to delight all those who crossed her path.
Sasuke adorned his own smile hidden behind his hand as he observed her helping a child up after he ran into her. He should probably go meet her before she made her way towards the training ground.
He waited until she reached a relatively empty street before materializing in front of her.
The Uchiha chuckled at her surprised squeak and her flailing to regain her balance.
"Sasuke!" Hinata gasped holding on to the lapels of his shirt.
"You should really look where you're going Hyuuga" His arm encircled her waist to keep her from tumbling. Of course, he wasn't going to let her fall.
"Very funny." She pouted.
God, so cute.
"I've been known to be that way sometimes." He cheekily replied and held her tighter as she tried to extract herself. "Aah. Not yet."
The raven-haired shinobi smirked at her reddening cheeks and widening eyes. He let her sweat it for a few more seconds before explaining himself.
Well, sort of.
"Change of venue. Hold tight."
That was his only warning before launching them into the air with all his speed, not holding back his rumbling chakra causing all the Shinobi in his vicinity to stumble on their own feet.
His smirk turned into a full-blown grin as she squeaked once more and clung to him while burying her face in the crook of his neck.
"A warning would've been nice." She gasped as her breath was knocked out of her.
"Now where's the fun in that?" Sasuke said turning his face to peer at hers. To his delight, she was getting redder from their proximity.
They were a blur in Konoha's sky.
A concerning blur apparently because he saw a few of his Anbu operatives starting to give chase but stopped once they recognized him.
Someone will probably go report to the Hokage that the last Uchiha just kidnapped the Hyuuga heiress.
But of course, his true goal was to flex his power, as a sort of reminder to those foreign ninjas that Konoha hosted a dangerous being. A sort of warning not to mess with the village.
That's what he told himself at least as he enjoyed the weight of Hinata in his arms.
Even the thought of Naruto's inevitable teasing wasn't enough to ruin his mood especially with the peal of laughter in his ear as he sped from one rooftop to the next.
It didn't take long before they reached their destination.
Sasuke landed on the wooden deck swiftly, giving the Hyuuga a few seconds to adjust.
"Sasuke-san? Where are we?" She looked around, still holding on to him which he was ridiculously happy about.
"The Uchiha district" He observed her, noting that she didn't flinch or shudder at the name like many did "one of the places still standing anyway."
"They didn't rebuild this part of the village after Pein's attack?" She peeked at him from beneath her thick eyelashes.
Eyelashes he would probably be able to count since she was standing so close. Not that she noticed.
Did he mention how much he was enjoying that?
"No" His voice got quiet "Who cares about a traitor's abode."
"They should. It's part of our history and if we forget our history then we risk repeating the mistakes of the past." Hinata spoke equally quiet "It's your heritage Sasuke-san. Good or bad it made you who you are today."
"and who am I today?" He questioned
"Someone I happen to like." She answered plainly.
"Is that so?" He smirked until her statement registered and her cheeks flushed as she became aware of how close they were standing. And how easily it would be for a passing person to misinterpret the situation. She jumped away from him and avoided eye contact.
"It's beautiful here." She said taking in the sparkling water of the lake reflecting the setting sun.
The liquid looked like molten fire reminding him of the days he used to practice his fireball jutsu here before all the death and decay that swept this place.
"It's one of my favorite places." Sasuke made his way to the edge of the dock "My brother and I used to come here a lot."
"What did you like to do?" she asked sitting down next to him.
"Itachi liked to try and meditate here." His eyes could almost see the scene playing in front him "And I liked to pester him about training a lot."
"So basically, you were just disturbing his quiet and being a menace." He smiled at her giggle.
"You're laughing at me?" He said in mock offence "and here I thought I was someone you liked."
"Doesn't make you any less of a menace" Her eyes too sparkled and reflected the burning sun like the lake "You just kidnapped me from the streets in broad daylight."
"Maybe I just wanted you all to myself." The Uchiha smirked at the reappearance of her blush. Her eyes suddenly widened.
"Sasuke!" Oh how he loved when she dropped that '-san' "What if someone really thought you kidnapped me and informed my clan?"
"Let Naruto deal with it" He shrugged.
"We're not supposed to be advertising the apprenticeship yet" Hinata fidgeted.
"It's not exactly the first thing that comes to mind when a man whisks away a woman." His smirk widened even more at the blush that spread to her whole face.
"You better h-hope i-it is o-or t-they'll s-send someone for y-your head." She stammered hiding her face in her hands.
So, so cute.
"Oh I'm sure I'll be receiving a visit from your delightful cousin soon enough." The Uchiha leaned back his palms supporting his body.
"It's not f-funny." She huffed "I'm the one who's going to get interrogated tonight"
Ok now he feels bad.
"Tell them I was giving you a classified mission. I'm sure Naruto would corroborate the story." When she peeked from between her fingers he smirked "or better yet tell them my intention are pure and I just took you on a date."
She hid behind her hands again. His ears could barely catch the muffled "Be serious."
"You're right." Sasuke looked to the stretching water "I wouldn't just bring you here for our first date."
"W-what?" Hinata squeaked.
"Well, I would. It's quiet and has a nice view." He kept his gaze ahead "but I'll add a picnic with food, wine and maybe strawberry ice-cream too."
"You hate strawberry ice-cream." She said looking at his profile.
"You don't." He answered watching from to corner of his eye as she opened her mouth and closed it a few times then her face flushed with….pleasure? embarrassment?
He wasn't sure.
Well, she doesn't look like she loathes the idea. That's a start.
Before he could figure out how to proceed from his not-totally-joking-statement, they were interrupted by the sound of shinobi sandals on the wood of the deck.
"Hyuuga. What an unwelcome surprise." The Anbu Commander said not sparing the other man a glance.
"and what an unsurprising welcome." He answered.
"Neji- nii-san!" Hinata turned around without getting up "Hi."
"Hello Hinata-sama" her serene smile seemed to calm the previously frantic man.
"You're trespassing." The long-haired shinobi tensed again at the chilly tone "What do you want?"
"When you snatch the heiress to the most prestigious clan off of the streets and bring her to an undisclosed location there are bound to be questions Uchiha." Neji said crossing his arm.
"See I told you they'd overreact" Hinata mumbled prompting Sasuke's lip to twitch in humor.
"I didn't snatch her. I retrieved her" He made a show of observing his nails "I have some business with your little cousin."
"What type of business?" the Hyuuga prodigy asked gruffly, he really wasn't a big fan of their friendship.
"The type that doesn't concern you." The raven-haired shinobi answered.
"What Sasuke-san means to say is that he's debriefing me about a mission." The kunoichi lied without a stutter. He was impressed.
"And why aren't you getting debriefed by the Hokage?" Neji rounded on her.
"Are you seriously asking me that?" The small frown on her lips made the other Hyuuga wince with guilt. Sasuke suspected she was overselling it not that Neji noticed.
"Then why not do it in his office?" His white eyes narrowed "You don't have a problem being there all the time."
"I would love nothing more than to do it in my office" Sasuke's smirk further enraged the Hyuuga male who caught on to the double meaning. "but there isn't enough privacy in the tower."
"Why.. you!" Neji sputtered.
"Really, Neji-nii-san. I'm fine" Hinata looked him in the eye and smiled reassuringly "I am on official business with Sasuke-san and it's even been recorded in a scroll at the Hokage's tower."
Smart princess.
She technically wasn't lying; they were here to discuss the official business of the tournament and a scroll has been signed and deposited in the Tower it just so happens to be a contract not a mission scroll.
Neji's Byakugan didn't detect a lie, because there wasn't any.
"Ok" He sighed in defeat.
"Give father my regards and clear it up with him" She gave him her best puppy eyes, Sasuke can see Neji's face softening at the expression and pleading tone "Please."
Oh hell. Sasuke could feel his own insides melting.
He took a second to harden his slipping Uchiha mask before addressing the other man.
"Hyuuga. Tell your clan to never try trespassing again. The results can be.." He glanced at him with his glowing red orb "..unpleasant"
"Is that a threat?" Neji's cool façade didn't break but he did feel on edge.
"A warning." Sasuke looked back at the lake "And do collect the three unconscious Hyuugas, the Genjutsu should be wearing off by now."
Neji turned around gulping, he wasn't usually intimidated by the Uchiha but even he knew not to go near his land. For a brief moment he hesitated about leaving his cousin with him, especially if he was in a turbulent state. But seeing her encouraging smile and Sasuke's shoulder relaxing the further he got away made him release a sigh he didn't know he was holding.
It seems his little cousin had a gift of taming the most volatile of individuals.
Once her cousin was out of earshot's Hinata faced Sasuke again
"What three Hyuugas?" She asked.
"Three of your clansmen followed us and were put under a Genjutsu the moment they crossed into Uchiha territory" Sasuke answered. "There are ancient seals and wards in this place keyed to Uchiha blood, they were activated by Madara at the beginning of the war."
"What do they do?" She asked intrigued.
"Allert me to any intruders and mobilize them until I can deal with them."
"But Neji-nii-san wasn't affected" Her eyebrows furrowed.
"I disabled the wards for him."
"As you did for me? I didn't feel anything" Her face scrunched in concentration.
Could she get any cuter?
"You wouldn't. I didn't disable them for you." Sasuke observed her confused look. The answer is yes, she could get cuter.
"But I wasn't put under a Genjutsu" Hinata's puzzlement was palpable.
"That's because you were added to the wards last night when you signed the contract with your blood, I felt them accept you." Her look of awe was endearing "you can come and go as you please. This is your sanctuary now too."
Her eyes held a level of undecipherable emotion and for once Sasuke was envious of the Byakugan's ability of decrypting the small tells on someone's face.
He was also very thankful Hinata didn't seem to possess the same level of mastery on that particular trick as Neji did, or she would've known how he felt about her from a glance since sometimes his mask slipped in her presence.
His feelings.
His feelings that went beyond attraction he realized. And although he didn't understand much, he understood enough about them to know they weren't going anywhere anytime soon and he might completely lose his mind if he didn't figure out what to do about them.
Oh crap. He was screwed.
"I don't think I can thank you enough." Hinata hid her expression behind her bangs.
"It's nothing" He willed his cheeks to remain pale.
"No Sasuke." She enveloped his hand in her both her small ones "it's everything."
He wished this will turn into a habit.
So screwed.
"Either way we should resume training here. Away from praying eyes." He cleared his throat "we don't want the competition finding out all you can do yet."
"Yes!" Her cheeks flushed with excitement and her eyes sparkled.
"So when are you going to register at the tournament? So I can go with you."
"I'd rather you did it for me at the last minute as to not alert anyone yet" She bit her lip.
So, so screwed.
"Well, aren't you a cunning little princess." He smirked when her blush intensified at the moniker he presumed.
That's an interesting new reaction.
He'll be using that more often although he'll miss that look of outrage when he first started calling her that.
"I've been known to be that way sometimes" She cheekily replied reusing his words from earlier.
"Do tell." Sasuke rested his chin on his palm.
"I might have been collecting information on the competition" She fidgeted under his scrutiny "So far my concern are Cloud shinobis. I know nothing about them."
"Their primary Jutsu are lightning based." The Uchiha recalled his many opponents in his rogue days.
"That's bad." Her shoulders slumped. Having the same affinity put her at a disadvantage.
"Not necessarily." Her head snapped to him. "I have a few tricks up my sleeve I can teach you."
"Would you please?"
"I did promise the other day, didn't I?" He smirked at her animated face "meet me here tomorrow."
"Okay." Hinata smiled sweetly turning his insides to mush. Again.
So, so, so screwed.
Tomorrow didn't come fast enough. Unlike the day before, Hinata felt wide awake.
She couldn't wait to see Sasuke and yes it might have something to do with the butterflies he left her with yesterday, which she (wrongly) attributed to the fact he gave her a safe haven, a literal sanctuary. But it was also the fact she was excited to learn another Jutsu.
He did have a way of making her heart sing.
She ignored that part that said it wasn't strictly related to learning something new.
Hinata hurried down the deserted streets leading to the abandoned Uchiha district. She came across a lonely wall with the Uchiha crest carved into it, the rest of what she assumed was the external wall was in ruins.
Hinata took a step through the 'door' and she felt her chakra flair slightly. It was the wards accepting her now that she knew what she was looking for, she knew what to expect.
Another tangible proof that Sasuke made this barren land a sanctuary for her.
That he shared a part of his past, of his family legacy with her because….
But she couldn't find a logical explanation. It confused her. Why would he do this?
She decided not to dwell on the reason because Sasuke Uchiha was and will probably always remain a mystery.
A mystery she enjoyed unraveling. The way she was sure he enjoyed reading her like an open book.
She looked around the destroyed houses and wondered how they looked in all they former glory.
Maybe one day he'll restore it. She hoped so.
Hinata was set to meet him in a few minutes, but before that she decided to assuage her curiosity about the wards, she was now able to waltz through.
A type of new curiosity she devolved now that she in a way was tied to the Uchiha clan.
Activating her Byakugan to take a look; there was nothing indicating the presence of that defense mechanism. She took a step out of the border of the territory.
Nothing.
But the moment she stepped over them again she saw it.
There!
A flare of powerful chakra from hidden seals carved in stones buried deep in the earth. Seals she couldn't decipher which lead her to deduce one needed to possess the Sharingan to do so.
The powerful chakra surged toward her, and made contact forcing hers to flare slightly. The moment they touched that foreign chakra receded, deeming her presence normal.
A part of this place.
She felt once again the breath being knocked out of her.
She belonged here.
Why would he? Why her?
He had friends that he knew longer. Naruto was his brother in everything but blood.
And yet he didn't get the same privilege.
It was like the Uchiha decided she was to be a fixture in his life. Like these ancient wards.
And once again she was overwhelmed by the Sasuke of it all.
Hinata was so lost in thought she didn't feel his presence behind her.
"Hyuuga."
She turned around. The sun framed him, giving him an otherworldly look.
She pushed down that urge to hug him. Barely. But she took a step closer, tilting her head up to memorize his face.
"Hello Sasuke." Hinata smiled softly as some feeling other than gratitude bubbled to the surface.
"Hello." His own small smile made that feeling harder to ignore.
She hoped it'll pass.
"Ready?"
Not really.
She wasn't ready for whatever this is.
It'll pass.
"Yes. Let's go." She said following him deep in the forest. A perk of being at the edge of Konoha.
They stood surrounded by tall trees, sunlight filtered through the leaves illuminating a few patches of grass, casting shadows on others.
A serene atmosphere that was about to be interrupted by the sound of cracking lightning of their chakras. His volatile and powerful. Hers delicate but no less deadly.
Both developed a liking to those contrasting properties.
"Lightning releases can be used in two ways" Sasuke started getting her undivided attention "it can either cause external damage by burning skin and destroying muscle"
"Like your Chidori?" Hinata concluded.
"Exactly. Or it can be more subtle, the way you use it to attack from within." There was a note of praise in that statement "Precise. Controlled. That is your advantage against those with the same affinity, because no one has the same level of mastery as you do."
Her cheeks still redden every time he gave her a compliment as if it was an irrefutable truth.
"And so, no matter how strong someone else's technique is, you should be able to tame it and redirect it easily" He said with as-matter-fact nonchalant type of way.
"And you can do the same?" She asked "N-not that I doubt your capabilities or a-anything"
His eyes filled with mirth at her stumbling.
"Yes. But it's more challenging for me, which is why I prefer using my katana as a conduit" His eyes appraised her again " you however being a Hyuuga with excellent chakra control can use your own body as a conduit."
It was in moment like this that she was reminded why he was considered a prodigy, not just force and raw power but a sharp mind behind those dark eyes.
She liked this part of him, the cold calculation he hid behind a reputation of strength.
"Now activate your Byakugan." She did as told.
The sound of a thousand birds filled the forest as lightning gathered in the palm of his hand. It slowly diminished and lost force.
"So that I don't accidentally kill myself" He explained chuckling at the alarmed look on her face.
Hinata watched attentively as the lightning was absorbed in his chakra pathway of his arm. She could understand what he meant by the difficulty he faced. It was like he was dragging it through mud.
In theory being trained in molding chakra for the gentle fist since she could walk should eliminate that difficulty.
Her heart almost stopped when the lightning reached his own.
A few seconds and it made its way towards the other arm before exiting his body completely, obliterating the trunk of a tree.
"I can't do that." Her Byakugan deactivated.
"Yes, you can." She smiled at the conviction in his voice.
"I can't. I have an old injury from the Chunin exam." Hinata recalled her match against Neji "It damaged my heart muscle making it weaker, so I have to be careful. That technique will stop my heart."
"Hinata!" Her eyes widened. He didn't use her name often and not with that volume "Tell me you are joking."
"No." She winced at the look of anger aimed at her.
"Do you know how many times I kicked you in the chest?! I could've hurt you!" He ran his hand through his hair in agitation looking away.
"It's not that fragile." She said with a small voice.
"You should've told me" Sasuke took a step invading her personal space, his voice lowered "Now what am I going to do with you?"
Hinata's pulse raced as the air charged with something other than his lightning chakra.
His dark eyes gleamed with a promise of retribution. His smirk further increased her heart rate.
The Hyuuga breathed easily as he drew back.
"There is of course another way to redirect lightning." His voice didn't lose that edge to it "Shall I teach you?"
"Y-yes." Her stutter made an appearance at the predatory look he directed her way.
Taking slow measured steps, he circled around and stopped behind her.
Hinata felt her heart rate pick up once again as she became aware of the small distance between them.
"I'm going to help guide your chakra to redirect it, and you're going to follow the path and feel it. No Byakugan."
"O-okay." His commanding tone left no room for arguments
"Good. Give me a spark princess" his low husky voice sent shivers down her spine.
What is going on?
The kunoichi willed lightning to her fingers. It was nothing like his impressive Chidori. Just small sparks jumping between her digits waiting for a surface to latch on to.
His bigger hand gently rested under the back of hers. She felt the pull of chakra as they went back inside her tenketsu but stayed there at his command.
Sasuke's fingers traced her arm ever so slowly making his way to her shoulders.
The combination of lightning and his feathery touch left goosebumps in their wake.
"How does that feel?" He whispered near her ear "Hinata? Are you paying attention?"
She could only nod, internally cursing the fact her shirt wasn't long sleeved, maybe that would've dulled this sensation.
"I'd like it if you'd use your words." His voice was low but had a mocking edge to it.
"Y-yes. I'm paying attention." He hummed in agreement
Maybe I'm imagining things.
"When I redirected lightning to my heart, I made it cross a chakra gate without opening it. Can you tell me which one?" She involuntary shivered at his breath tickling the back of her neck.
"The gate of death?"
"Smart Hyuuga princess." She was thankful he couldn't see her cheeks flushing at his praise "for you we'll use the farthest one from your heart. I like it beating after all."
God, this feels like one of her cousin's erotic novels that Hanabi nicked.
"Can you tell me which gate is that?" His fingers going back and forth caressing her skin made it a bit hard to concentrate.
"Hmm… the gate of wonder?"
"Also known as..?" this time his hand crossed to her shoulder blades making its way down her spine with a faster pace.
Unfortunately for Hinata her brain provided the answer a bit too late.
The second his hand made contact with her lower back; a loud gasp escape her lips as heat pooled in her lower stomach.
His firm grip on her hip was the only thing that kept her from falling as she jerked forward.
Hinata dug her nails in his arm as the trimmers traversed her body.
She was so out of it that she didn't feel his arm encircling her ribcage as she sagged against him.
"The pleasure gate" he said chuckling in her ear.
"Although it's not supposed to be this….intense" She felt his smirk against the shell of her ear "feeling a bit frustrated there princess?"
Hinata's whole face was on fire. There was mortifying and then there was this.
"I-I…Y-you! You a-ass you c-could've w-warned me." She was unaware of his grin at her insult.
"Consider it a lesson in withholding important information. Now we're even" the kunoichi became aware of his chest pressed to her back "I do hope you were paying enough attention though. If not I can show you again."
"I-i'm good!" She pushed away from him twirling around but kept her gaze fixed to the ground.
"I'll leave you to practice" Sasuke's voice was teasing.
He'll never let her live this down.
Her voice small stopped him from leaving just yet.
"Will it… feel like t-that w-when I'm the one r-redirecting the chakra?"
That might be distracting in a fight.
"No." She could hear his silent laughter "you won't be able to hit the right spot the way I do."
Hinata immediately regretted asking her question.
"Have fun princess." She didn't see his grin as he took to the trees.
No, she was too busy trying to fuse her face with the bark of the nearest tree.
AN: The feels but add a little bit of… spice.
Our little Hinata may or may not be catching something from Sasuke; Feelings and Os.
I read in a fanfic somewhere about the wonder gate and in it being tied to pleasure so I decided to recycle that idea for the sake of the mounting sexual tension. I do hope you got zapped too.
I loved your reviews immensely. I am glad you liked my loophole that mean so much more and picked up on the intimacy developing between the two.
Pleaaaase review. Your reviews inspire some ideas in me and help me direct the story. Which is following a path I didn't expect but I am no less excited about.
-Your faithful writer
Lady Thunder Storm.
