Chapter 2 Tensions
It's been a week since the Dragonborn made himself known in the world and it had a huge impact on people.
From a gaming legend to being a real hero took the younger generation by storm.
The only one who had issues was Lantern since he wanted to find out who he was and throw him in jail feeling that if he shared his knowledge with people it would only lead to disaster.
The rest of the League offered him a place within the league much to Lantern's annoyance.
But he hadn't made any commitment yet for now.
Right now though.
Dragonborn was facing off against Two face as he had a Glass Bow in hand before firing an arrow making him scream as his right hand was pinned to the side.
"Thats gotta hurt." Robin said jumping down with Batman.
"Batman." Dragonborn said casually.
"Not bad." Batman said.
"You may have stopped me but I'll be back." Two face said before his hands glowed.
"One of you will." Dragonborn said grabbing his face making him scream in pain.
"What is he doing?" Robin asked.
"Watch." Batman said as he stepped back as Two face breathed in relief.
However he was no longer Two face anymore.
His face was fully healed to Harvey Dent like he was before his accident.
"Whoa." Robin said.
Soon Dent was taken away by medical to make sure he was fully healed.
"So you can heal people too?" Batgirl asked.
"Based on injuries. His was easy to heal." Dragonborn said.
"It won't be easy for people to see that though." Batman said.
"Given time." Dragonborn said before vanishing.
"With all the good he does like this why does Lantern have issues with him?" Batgirl asked.
"He's afraid of what he doesn't understand. He thinks that if people learn his power it'll bring only destruction." Batman said.
"But theres already people who use magic for bad reasons." Robin said.
"He doesn't see it that way. Eventually he's gonna do something that will cost him." Batman said.
Later
Lantern was once more back at Sean's place wanting answers.
"And you are?"
Lantern looked seeing a woman with long red hair and green eyes. She was dressed in a skimpy Red Bikini. She also had very large breasts with some muscles on her and a 8 pack and a bubble butt.
"Lantern. You?" Lantern asked.
"Aela. I'm security." Aela said.
"You don't look like security." Lantern said.
"It's my day off and I live here. Now why are you here?" Aela asked.
"I need more information on the Dragonborn and Sean's the only one who knows history so good. Now where is he?" Lantern asked.
"Not even here. And I know who you are. The Arrogant Lantern who's trying to put away a new hero because he's afraid of what you don't understand." Aela said.
"I am not afraid of anything. I'm just concerned he'll teach people what he knows and it'll cause problems in the future." Lantern said frowning making her scoff.
"It's no wonder Sean hates you so much." Aela said shocking him.
"What are you talking about? He doesn't hate me. And he's got no reason to." Lantern said.
"Oh yes he does. You spilled a secret about him to higher ups which prevented him from ever getting into the army." Aela said making his eyes widen.
"How...How did he find out?" Lantern asked.
"People talk thats how. When Sean saw his application was denied he went to ask why. They told him what you told them and that is why he hates you. You had no right to tell them something that wasn't your business." Aela said.
"I was just letting them know about his condition." Lantern said.
"A condition you know was easy to fix but made a bigger deal about it than it actually was. Doing so made it impossible for him to serve like the rest of his family. You ruined his life. YOU." Aela said making him close his eyes. "Now get out and don't come back." Aela said as he flew off. "Arrogant snitch." Aela said taking off her bikini to sunbath.
A few minutes later Sean and Ysolda came back seeing Aela in the nude on her front sunbathing.
"Everyday she's not working." Ysolda said going to make something.
"Aela?" Sean asked making her smile at him.
"Hello love." Aela said.
"You only sunbath when you're angry. What happened?" Sean asked making her scoff.
"Stupid traitor stopped by again. Told him the truth." Aela said making him sigh.
"You didn't have to do that." Sean said.
"Sure I did." Aela said kissing him making him grin.
Later
Dragonborn was in Central City on top of a building with a large sword in hand.
Thats when he was incased in a green sphere again.
"You again?" Dragonborn asked seeing Lantern.
"I'm in a real bad mood punk. Your gonna tell me who you are and how you got your powers so I can make sure no one else can." Lantern said.
"I wonder how the public would react to this seeing you telling other heroes what they can and can't do? Then again you already feel like you can do whatever you want considering you told secrets that weren't yours to tell." Dragonborn said shocking him.
"How'd you?" Lantern asked.
"I have my ways. And I don't have to tell you anything." Dragonborn said before drinking a potion and became transparent before walking through again. "And your getting on my last nerves." Dragonborn said.
"I'll stop once you tell me who you are." Lantern said.
"Kiss my ass." Dragonborn said before blasting him with lightning making him cry out in pain before blocking it and roared trying to blast him but he just jumped down.
Landing on a car smashing it Lantern flew down trying to contain him but he pulled out a dedric Bow and arrow before firing at him making him yell as it hit him in the stomach.
"You...Ugh." Lantern groaned as he felt weak.
"It's a small but still deadly poison thats paralyzing your body. It's not easy to fight if you're only human. That ring of yours only does so much." Dragonborn said taking out another arrow aiming at him. "How easy it would be to end you for the pain you caused others cause of your own pride and superiority." Dragonborn said making him widen his eyes. "But no...Death is a release for you...Not a punishment. As a wise man once said. Never accept death when suffering is owed." Dragonborn said as he left making him widen his eyes.
Later
"You think what?" Hawkgirl asked.
"I think Sean's the Dragonborn." Lantern said.
"Wheres your proof?" Batman asked.
"He said never accept death when suffering is owed when he left. That was something he said to me years ago when a high level terrorist was caught. Instead of just killing him we kept him in a small cell knowing it was better punishment." Lantern said.
"Thats not exactly solid evidence." Hawkgirl said.
"But it's too coincidental. That Aela chick said that he hates me because I told my superiors about a condition he had. He had some heart problems and I had to tell them. I knew it was easy to fix but it kept him from ever being allowed to enlist." Lantern said.
"So you think he's the Dragonborn based on this?" Superman asked.
"Yeah...I need to bring him in." Lantern said about to leave.
"For what? He's no criminal." Flash asked.
"If people find out about where his power comes from we'll have bigger issues to deal with. This needs to end...Now." Lantern said flying off.
Later
Sean was back in his estate eating some food with Ysolda and Aela.
Only for the doors to slam open by Lantern.
"A knock would have been nice." Sean said.
"You're coming with me." Lantern said grabbing him.
Only for Sean to punch him in the face sending him back a few feet much to his shock.
"I don't have to do shit for you. Especially for the fucker who cost me my family legacy." Sean said making him frown.
"Look I didn't think they would block you from being enlisted. I only told them what you had. That is all." Lantern said.
"And who gave you the right to tell them something that was your business? And now you're trying to stop someone who's helping others and you see him as a threat." Sean said making him glare before he used his ring to contain him.
"Your coming with me." Lantern said taking him away.
Later
Sean sighed as he was in a cell on the Watch Tower.
"This is a mistake." Wonder Woman said.
"Until he confesses who he is he's not leaving and not until we can take that power away." Lantern said.
"Thats not up to us." Superman said.
"It should. Why can't the rest of you understand that if people learn this power it'll make things difficult?" Lantern asked.
"There a millions of other ways life can get difficult. This is only one. And even if he is Dragonborn he has every right to teach anyone what he knows." Batman said making him glare.
"He's not leaving till he confesses." Lantern said.
"Uh yeah...About that?" Flash said making them look on the screen showing Metropolis as Toyman was in some new machine...Fighting Dragonborn.
Lantern widened his eyes before looking back seeing Sean in his cell.
"But..." Lantern tried to say as Batman glared at him.
"Whatever happens now is on you." Batman said as they left.
Meanwhile
Dragonborn dodged all of Toy man's easily before blasting him with fire from his palm.
"NO! MY TOY!" Toyman screamed in horror as it melted.
"Oh brother. I prefer video games." Dragonborn said before pulling out some staff that had a dragon's head on it and blasted him with a firebolt making it explode as he screamed when he flew out and landed in front of him with a grunt.
"Oh boy." Toyman said as he aimed his staff at him.
"Your not even worth killing." Dragonborn said as the League arrived.
"Nice work." Superman said.
"You have someone thinking he was me." Dragonborn said glaring at Lantern who frowned.
"Who are you?" Lantern asked before screaming as he was electrocuted before dropping.
"None of your fucking business. You already ruined my life once. I won't let you do that to others based on your crap." Dragonborn said vanishing.
Later
Sean glared as he was let out.
"Sorry about this. Lantern did this on his own accord." Batman said.
"I know." Sean said as he glared at him. "But I am pressing charges now and my old man is not gonna be happy. No doubt he'll blame the whole group for his actions. So I might suggest you kick him out...And get someone else." Sean said shocking him as Wonder Woman escorted him home.
"I told you whatever happens is on you. You blindly believed he was someone he wasn't and now it's gonna make the league look like thugs." Batman said.
"I was so sure it was him." Lantern said.
"But it wasn't." Batman said walking away.
Sean smiled looking at the Earth.
"Beautiful isn't it?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Well, not as beautiful as the sight before me." Sean said making her smile softly.
"I'm truly sorry for what happened. Lantern seems to believe that if people learn about Dragonborn's power it will cause problems." Wonder Woman said.
"Theres already problems based on science. He's a stupid fool who only cares about himself. I learned that the hard way." Sean said as they left.
Later
Lantern was in front of his old General seeing him lookin very unhappy. (Picture him as Matt Riedy)
"There better be a damn good reason you blindly imprisoned my son." Tom said.
"I was so convinced he was Dragonborn. I just think we need to capture him take away his power and destroy whatever knowledge he has to make sure others don't get it." Lantern said.
"Thats not your call to make." Tom said.
"How can you stand there and say you don't feel the same?" Lantern asked.
"Because you don't see the good things that have happened since he showed up. Healed two face and made him normal again. Are you saying that was a mistake?" Tom asked.
"No...But if others learn that kind of power..." Lantern said.
"It doesn't matter what kind of power people use. People will always misuse it in one way or another. Science or magic. It doesn't matter. You know despite what you did to my son years ago I asked him not to be angry with you and he did it for me. Now he won't do that since the truth is out." Tom said making him close his eyes.
"I never meant to ruin his dreams." Lantern said.
"Intentions are irrelevant...Like you." Tom said shocking him as he left making him sigh.
Later
Dragonborn was on a rooftop in Metropolis with a elven bow in hand.
"Looking for someone?" Superman asked making him chuckle facing him.
"Just waiting for something interesting to happen. Whats up?" Dragonborn asked.
"What did you mean by Lantern ruined your life once?" Superman asked.
"My parents are dead because of him. Thats all I'll say." Dragonborn said jumping away.
Later
"His parents are dead?" Lantern asked.
"Was there anyone you were responsible for?" Hawkgirl asked.
"No...I don't know what he's talking about." Lantern said.
"Think hard on this." Batman said getting in his face.
"Look I...Hold on...There was someone I know back in the day. He warned me one of our generals was selling information to an enemy of ours. But I didn't believe him." Lantern said.
"What did you do?" Batman asked.
"I told the suspected General of it since I didn't believe it. A week later the guy was dead in the line of duty." Lantern said before widening his eyes.
"And you never suspected anything wrong?" Superman asked.
"It was years ago. And no I didn't because I trusted him that much back then." Lantern said.
"But clearly evidence proves he was telling the truth...And you got him killed." Batman said making him glare.
"I was doing my duty back then. And he had to have been wrong." Lantern said.
"Who was the general back then?" Hawkgirl asked.
"General Lee." Lantern said as Batman accessed the files.
"Clearly shows you were wrong." Batman said showing the files that he was guilty much to his shock. "The solder's name was Sargent Stone. He was killed in the line of duty under mysterious circumstances. However his wife was also killed days later." Batman said.
"But...This has to be a mistake." Lantern said.
"Your old General was the one who reported him in years ago after receiving a tip from their son." Batman said.
"Turok Stone." Superman said seeing his photo as a three year old back then. "That was 10 years ago." Superman said.
"He must have had files on the proof he had." Flash said.
"Where is he?" Lantern asked.
"Thats none of your concern. You already put him through hell as it is." Hawkgirl said.
"And what if he is Dragonborn?" Lantern asked.
"We don't actually care. You're the only one making a big deal out of this." Wonder Woman said making him frown as he was about to leave.
"If you go after him you will be kicked out of the league." Batman said making him glare before leaving.
"You know he'll just do it anyway." Superman said.
"And we'll be ready." Batman said.
Author's Note: Things are getting interesting. So many questions on who the Dragonborn is and what will happen to Lantern. Will he be replaced by another Lantern? Will he end up dead for the wrongs he's done? Only time can tell. I was gonna release this during the massive update for next month but I decided to do it now. Also the poll has officially closed.
