Xerneas landed on grass and she looked around.
Her heart lifted when she saw that the trees around her weren't dead anymore. Instead, they were bright with multiple shades of green leaves, with noises of Pokémon chattering in the distance.
Xerneas sighed in relief. They were back in the present now.
She turned around and waited for Giratina to come and land next to her, but the portal closed almost immediately after she looked at it.
She looked around, half-expecting Giratina to already be out here.
"Gira?" Xerneas called. "Gira!"
No answer.
As she looked around, she saw the Adamant Crystal not too far from her. She went over to it and picked it up.
Giratina… he's still in the future. She thought. And he doesn't have a way to go back in time, now that he only has the Lustrous Globe.
Does he need help right now? There can't be any other reason why he didn't go into the portal.
But… I can't use this on my own. I need someone else to help me.
I need Regigigas.
She turned east to where the Sinnoh region was. Xerneas knew that if she was able to get Regigigas to join her, then he might be able to use the Adamant Crystal, and have a chance to deal with whatever Necrozma is planning to cause the future after they get Giratina back in the present.
This won't take long. Xerneas thought, already moving towards the Sinnoh region. Soon enough we'll get Giratina back, and then we can continue moving on from there.
