Anxiously pacing her room Uraraka found her heart not wanting to slow down as she continued to contemplate whether or not she should go through with it or if this was even a good idea to begin with.
To have Kiseki meet everyone at the agency had both her head and heart battling over what to do.
There had been many nights she had wondered what it would have been like to have Bakugo there with her. To have him experience all the wonderful things you shared together when expecting something so precious. Watching everyday as he was growing inside of you until you finally had the joy of holding him in your arms.
Would he have cried? Would he be a nervous wreck the same way she was?
What she was certain of was how much Kiseki would be loved by both of his parents. Deku and Kirishima were right, Bakugo just like the rest of them had their faults but she knew he would love their child with everything he had and that's something she would never be able to argue. The nagging question however remained. How would he react to her child. Their child.
She knew that right now they were not on the best of terms and could admit that it was her fault, but after that day in his office she made it her goal to at least say 'hi' whenever she passed him in the halls. Little baby steps she kept telling herself and yet somehow she couldn't stop the way her heart raced everytime she saw a glimpse of him or even heard his name being called.
And for the most part he just kept to himself whenever she was around, so she guessed he was still upset with her.
'I don't know if this is such a good idea…' she inwardly continued to panic, nervously fidgeting with her hands. This was too overwhelming right now.
And it wasn't as if she could just go and tell him the truth for fear of losing them both. But a big part of her was at least glad that her little boy could at least get to see his father even if neither of them knew it.
"Ok I can do this…. I can do this…"
Wide questioning crimson eyes continued to watch his mom frantically pace back and forth as he chewed on a small toy she had bought him not long ago with Mina sitting next to him just as confused by her behavior.
"Might I ask why the sudden jitters babe?" Mina continued to follow her friend checking then rechecking her bag. "It's just a quick hello before our shifts that's all." When Mina didn't get a respond to her previous question thinking that her friend was still stuck in her own head, she turned when she heard Kiseki giggle next to her obviously as equally amused at his mommy's reaction before picking him up. "We think mommy's lost it? Yes we do. Yes we do." she playfully tickled him.
"I don't think this is a good idea." Uraraka finally turned to them before picking up Kiseki and checking to make sure his diapers still dry and that the clothes she had picked out for him didn't have as much drool on it like it sometimes would when he decided to play with the bubbles in his mouth finding it to be one of his new favorite pass times.
"Why not?" Mina asked as she begrudgingly got up and stretched. "He looks great and everyone's going to go crazy for him."
"That's just it." Uraraka allowed Mina to pull him out of her arms and into his car seat before Uraraka had another one of her change of hearts. "W-what if it's too much? What if-"
"Too much for who?" Mina playfully smiled. "Look 'Chako just trust me ok. When have I ever been wrong?" Upon her friend's blank expression Mina just rolled her eyes. "Today. When have I been wrong today?"
"I just don't know Mina…" she reluctantly followed Mina out the door as she grabbed their bags.
"Listen babe, like I said you have nothing to worry about. If anything, the only one who will probably have something snarky to say would be Bakugo and even he wouldn't be able to resist this little guys' charms."
"And yet somehow that doesn't' make me feel any better…" Uraraka muttered as she locked her apartment door.

Upon arriving at the agency Uraraka couldn't help but giggle as her little boy let his huge eyes look around in wonder at the world around him, giving her a startled look every so often when they stepped inside the tall building and continued to let his eyes roam around in interest.
"Yes, sweetie this is where mommy and aunt Mina work." Uraraka smiled at the few people who walked by. She continued to mentally prepare herself for her quick visit, but it didn't matter what she did or how much she tried to hide it she couldn't keep the swirling nerves of butterflies from her stomach to the point she was beginning to feel nauseous and knew it wasn't because she was using her quirk on the car seat to make it easier to carry after they parked the stroller in the lobby.
"Hey now who's this little guy?" Shindo walked up to them just as they began waiting for the elevator.
"Isn't he cute?" Mina happily grinned.
"Sure is." He bends down to be at eye level with Kiseki who just frowned when he saw someone he didn't know suddenly stare at him. "What's his name?"
"Kiseki." Uraraka informed. "He's my son."
"Is he now?" He didn't try to hide his surprise as he glanced up at her with a growing smile. "Well little man it's nice to meet you." He gave Kiseki one more smile before getting to his feet. "Where are you guys heading?"
"Just to say a quick hello before I have to take him to daycare." She informed him.
"Well, I hope I get to see little Kiseki again soon." Shindo said before winking at her. "And his mom of course too."
"Well…" Mina said when they saw Shindo walk off to start his patrol. "Guess Shindo's still got the hots for momma 'Chako."
"Mina stop." Uraraka chuckled as they stepped inside the elevator. "It's not like that."
"Like what? He clearly still likes you."
"What you mean still?"
"Oh, come on you can't tell me you forgot about that thing back in school?" When Uraraka gave her a puzzled look Mina continued to remind her. "…and then remember back in the training camp second year? He was totally hitting on you in front of everyone and then again during third year."
"Oh that." Uraraka waved one hand in front of her reddening face. "N-no that was just being friendly that's all."
"If you say so." Mina teasingly wiggled her brows and Uraraka was thankful when they heard the elevator stop on their floor. "And here we are."
X
So far their quick visit turned out to be well worth it and she was happy that everyone took such a liking to him. She could also tell by Mina's side glances that once they were done, she would be looking for some praise. As it turned out he was the highlight of the day with Yaoyorozu and Kendo eagerly swooning over the little boy while some of the others began asking her questions about him.
So, if she had to put this day into words so far then everything turned out better than she had hoped.
"Alright I think he's almost ready to go." Uraraka saw him tiredly rubbing his eyes as they knocked on Todoroki's door next.
"Come in."
Carefully opening the door, they could see Todoroki hunched over his desk with both Hawks and Deku.
"Hope we're not interrupting." Uraraka quietly asked waiting until he finally looked up with the other two man and ushered her inside.
"Not at all." he curiously tilted his head when he saw Mina opening the door wider to allow Uraraka to step inside with the car seat.
"Is that who I think it is?" Hawks's face instantly lit up as he glided his way over. "My man!"
"You…" Uraraka's eyes only momentarily narrowed not having forgotten how Bakugo ended up in her doorstep before she couldn't stop the small smile when Hawk's grabbed the car seat from her hands and greeted Kiseki who began clapping his little chubby hands.
"Aw look he missed me." He smugly grinned before he saw her folding her arms over her chest. "Oh oh, look your moms mad at me again."
"Why?" Mina's eyes dragged from Uraraka then back to Hawks.
"Yes, Uraraka why are you mad?" Hawks's grin widened when he saw her take a calm breath knowing she wouldn't talk about it in front of everyone. He used this moment to put Kiseki's face next to his with a small pout on his face as he looked at her. "See you can't stay mad at me and ruin this moment, right?"
Inhaling deeply, she was about to tell him they'll talk about it later when she saw Todoroki slowly making his way over.
"Is that…?"
"Kiseki!" Deku was next to rush on over practically vibrating with excitement. "I can't believe you brought him Uraraka!"
"Yeah, but we won't be staying long. Have to take him to Ryukyu's daycare before the beginning of our shift."
"Yeah no fair. A real boss would just give us the day off for bringing in such a treat" Mina discreetly glanced at Hawks.
"Sorry Pinky but if I can't have it off you can't have it off." Hawks took enjoyment when he saw her shoulder slouch in defeat.
"He's gotten bigger since last time." Todoroki timidly looked over her shoulder at the baby now staring at him.
"You should let him hold him." Hawks suggested watching as his turquoise and grey eyes widened at what the other pro had said.
"You want to?" Uraraka asked, seeing him momentarily hesitate since he had never done something like that before unless it was related to hero work. And even then, he remembered having to take those babies out of the Ipponmichi building before it crumbled to the ground, but they were safe and sound in the cribs, so he never had to physically hold them. "If you don't want to that's fine." She quickly added not wanting to make anyone uncomfortable.
"No I…" With a faint smile he felt his heart quicken when he decided to give it a try as he raised his hands. "May I?"
"Sure." Uraraka felt like she was just about to melt with how sweet and shy he sounded. She knew that this was something he may not be used to but found it admirable that he was still willing to try something new.
"Oh my…"
And by the sound of it, Mina was thinking that same thing although a little more openly.
Carefully lifting him out of the seat she saw Kiseki eyeing the other man until slight recognition set in since Todoroki was one of the few who was there when he was born however brief that may have been.
"Hey…" Todoroki nervously accepted the baby and frantically looked up not knowing what to do next.
"Just be careful with his head." Uraraka helped him so that way both boys would be more comfortable and smiled when he began to lightly bounce on his feet the way he remembered his mom doing for him when he was a kid and would cry. "There…you see. Not so hard now, is it?"
With one of his rare smiles, he briefly glanced up to see Uraraka giggling before reverting his eyes back to Kiseki. "It's not.
"Oh my GOD I have to record this." Mina whispered already pulling out her phone.
"Too late I already got it." Hawks grinned from his position next to her already recording. "Who would've guessed Shoto Todoroki's great with babies huh?"
When he saw Kiseki letting out a cute yawn Todoroki couldn't stop but let out the fainted of chuckles at the way his small mouth momentarily made a little 'O' before scowling back at him wondering why this man was laughing at him. "He's so tiny."
"Yeah, he is." Uraraka gently moved his hair out of his face to help keep him calm.
"Wow Uraraka he still looks so much like you." Deku happily grinned.
"He does." Todoroki agreed before his eyes focused on him. "Except…his eyes. Have they always been like that?"
"W-what do you mean?"
"I'm not sure." He responded honestly. "Feel like I've seen them staring at me like that before."
"Oh." Uraraka snapped her mouth shut as she looked to see Deku and Hawks both already staring at her with a pointed look.
"You don't say." Hawks quickly covered his mouth to try and keep his laughter to a minimum.
"I don't think so." Mina tried to see what Todoroki saw. "Eyes like his are too cute and gentle to belong to anyone we know right?"
"Yes of course!" Deku quickly said. "No one I know that's for sure hahaha." He nervously rubbed the back of his head.
"Not sure…" Todoroki thought about it some more until the little boy let out a surprise sneeze which was all it took to make Todoroki swiftly turn to Uraraka with panic in his eyes.
"Don't worry I got him." She giggled, removing him from Todoroki's arms and into the car seat. "We should be going anyways."
"Alright we'll see you then when you get back." Deku waved as the two girls began making their way out.
"Hey Uraraka?"
"Yes?" she answered Todoroki right as she was about to close the door.
"Can…don't hesitate to bring him back please? Anytime."
When she saw his hopeful gaze, she smiled warmly. "Of course."
After leaving Todoroki's agency they were stopped here and there by others who quickly upon hearing who was visiting, made it their mission to come and meet the new member of their team as Awase and Tetsutetsu had said.
"Well as far as I'm concerned this was a complete hit." Mina stretched her arms over her head. "Now all that's left is-"
"Mina, I think we should go. Kiseki's already getting tired, and he gets pretty cranky when his like that." Not to mention she was trying to dodge a certain someone. But upon seeing Minas determined face it told her that they weren't leaving this place without Kirishima getting to see Kiseki again or else he would never let her hear the end of it. "Alright let's go..."
Biting the bullet, she followed the pink girl along the few cubicles to help save time until she stopped in front of Red Riots office. "You ready?"
"No." Uraraka answered honestly only received a thumbs up from her friend in return before pink hands pushed open the door without so much as a knock. "Really?!"
"What?" Mina shrugged before addressing Sero, Kirishima, Kaminari, and an overly aggravated Bakugo. "Hey boys!"
"Alright I'm leaving." Bakugo quickly said as soon as he heard the overly annoying yet familiar voice that constantly grated his ears belonging to one Mina Ashido.
"What- no!" Mina quickly lifted her arms immediately blocking his retreat. "We came here to introduce someone to you guys."
"What, is she cute?" Kaminari asked receiving multiple sterns looks. "What? It's a legit question."
"He's adorable!" Mina wickedly grinned. "In fact, I think he's the cutest guy in this building. Even cuter than any of you."
"Really?" Kirishima grinned knowing she was up to something. "Even cuter than me?"
"Yup!" she responded without an ounce of hesitation which just made his grin drop.
"Well, who is it?" Kaminari tried to look past her to where Uraraka was still peeking her head inside the door. "Hey Uraraka!"
"Hi." Surprised at how small her voice sounded she tried again. "Sorry about just barging in here. Mina insisted we come by."
"No worries. Barge in anytime." Kirishima raised his arms. "My office is your office."
"And lucky my office is not here." Bakugo made another attempt to leave when Mina pulled him by the shirt, and he began to try and pry her off.
"So, who is-" Kaminari tried asking again but cut himself off when he, along with the others saw Uraraka cautiously walk in holding a small black and blue car seat.
"Uraraka?" Sero warily asked knowing he wasn't the only one not having expected that kind of visitor.
"This is Kiseki." She moved him so he could be more visible doing everything and anything to not look at a certain blond, but despite her best efforts she found herself needing to see it. Needing to see how he slowly let his arms drop along with Minas as he let his expressionless eyes flicker from her then back to the car seat. Her heart was hammering in her chest like the first time she found out she was pregnant. Not knowing what to expect. Not even sure whether to run and hide, nor cry out of fear or happiness.
All she knew was that this was the moment she had dreamed about.
"Isn't he cute?" Mina's voice seemed to snap everyone out of their stunt surprise.
"Woah…" Sero and Kaminari moved to get a better look as they crouched down to glance inside. They could see a small chubby cheeked baby scowling back at them as if to study their every intention.
It was unnerving really- at least to Kaminari since the boy continued to stare at him like he was looking into the deepest part of his soul, but with his rosy puffy cheeks and soft brow hair it made it difficult to be intimidated for more than a few seconds.
"Hey little man!" Kirishima moved the other two out of the way before he gave Uraraka a questioning look to which she nodded in approval. Gently removing him from the car seat Kirishima took Kiseki in his arms before smiling brightly when he heard the little boy squeal in surprise. "Man look how big you got!"
Mina couldn't stop grinning when Kirishima continued to make funny noises to get Kiseki to laugh more. It normally didn't take him very long to make kids smile since Kirishima seemed to have a personality most enjoyed. "He's just very wary of strangers and can give you a hard time at first. But once you get on his good side, he's the happiest baby I've ever seen."
"Yes, he is!" Kirishima gave a loud laugh when Kiseki let out another giggle. Kaminari and Sero couldn't help but smile at the sound since the little boy's enthusiasm was like a wildflower that spread joy any place he went, and his laugh always seemed to be so infectious with anyone that heard him.
Tilting his head back Bakugo silently watched from his position near the desk as everyone crowded around the little kid. From his position he could see the familiar chubby pink cheeks and brown hair that resembled another chubby pink cheeked girl he knew. But anytime the boys' face would briefly turn to him, Sero or Kaminari he swore he could see him carefully watching them before raising his arms and asking for Uraraka to take him.
"Woah Uraraka, I didn't know you had a little brother." Kaminari playfully wiggled Kiseki's closed fists.
Parting her mouth Mina quickly saw Kirishima carefully hand him over to Uraraka who fondly wrapped her arms protectively around his little frame while he hid his face shyly against her shoulder after receiving more attention than he wanted. "Actually…he's my son."
"What?!"
"Wait seriously?" Sero and Kaminari stared at her holding the little boy in utter shock.
"Guys." Kirishima discreetly shook his head.
Feeling horrible Kaminari quickly tried to apologize for assuming that. "I'm sorry Uraraka I just thought…"
"No, it's ok." Uraraka reassured him with a small smile knowing full well he didn't mean any disrespect by it. This wasn't the first time someone questioned her about it, given that she had been rather secretive about it with anyone back home or even who the father was. It wasn't like she was ashamed of it by any means, in fact she was proud to have someone like Kiseki in her life, but she thought the less people here knew at the time the less questions they would bombard her with. So, it was pretty much expected that none of her friends other than a handful of people knew about her pregnancy at that time.
"He is cute though." Kaminari smiled down at the baby. "Probably will be a little heartbreaker too just like his mom."
"Well, I wouldn't say that." Uraraka giggled when she saw Kiseki shyly trying to look back at everyone with his eyes landing on a shocked Bakugo.
Bakugo's eyes remained wide in genuine surprise and from what she could tell he along with everyone hadn't expected her to say that. Still rotted to his spot his eyes continued to dart between her and the child.
'Is he going to say anything?' she thought to herself as she clutches Kiseki closer to her like a safety blanket. She had hoped he would at least show some sort of reaction but by his stunt silence could tell he was still trying to grasp the news that she had a child.
"How old is he?" Sero's question brought her back after he tried to get Kiseki's attention.
"Only three months." She faintly smiled realizing that asking Bakugo what he thought at that moment would be too much and she wasn't even sure whether she wanted to know the answer right now. It wasn't his fault that he didn't know. She was the one that made the decision to leave and end things, and she was the one that felt like she had no right to even ask him anything.
"Wait, so that means…" Counting on his fingers Kaminari frowned before looking to Mina who shook her head.
When she saw Kiseki yawning again before nuzzling into his mother's warm embrace she smiled when she heard everyone in the room aww. "Alright I think it's time to go."
"Are you sure I don't mind walking you guys."
"It's fine, we got it." Uraraka shot one last glance over her shoulder where she could see Bakugo now leaning back on the desk before exiting the room.
Once they managed to get down to the lobby after constantly being stopped by everyone, Uraraka tried to grab the strap of her diaper bag when she realized she had left it behind. "Oh man I forgot his bag!"
"That's fine it's probably back in Kiri's office, we have plenty of time before we start."
"Do you mind waiting with him while I-"
"Leave my sight Ochaco. I'm with baby." Mina was already waving her off as she began playing peek a poo with him.
"Thanks." Uraraka gratefully smiled as she hurried on up to Kirishima's office thinking she must have left it there without meaning to after the jumbled nerves before.
"Man oh man…Uraraka with a baby?" Sero shook his head, still trying to wrap his head around it. "I still can't believe it."
"I know what you mean." Kaminari said, turning in Kirishima's chair. "Bet she was a hot pregnant chick too." When he saw everyone stare back at him, he questioningly shrugged his shoulders. "What?"
"You've been hanging out with Mineta again, haven't you?" Sero asked.
"Possibly."
"Anyway." Kirishima returned to the other two. "Kiseki's a really good kid and maybe Uraraka just you know… wanted to keep things private."
"Makes sense I guess with all of these people constantly watching our every move, it's understandable to want to keep your loved ones out of the spotlight." Sero agreed before turning to Bakugo. "What do you think man? You've been awfully quiet."
"What's there to really think about? She has a kid. So what?" Bakugo scoffed holding his balance with his hands on the desk while crossing his ankles on top of each other.
"And you're alright with that?" Kirishima couldn't stop himself from asking as he carefully observed the way Bakugo briefly glanced at the closed door again before answering.
"Not my problem." He halfway shrugged but paused when he saw something dangerous flash in Kirishimas eyes. "What the hell's wrong with you?"
"No nothing, ignore me." Kirishima waved his hand leaning on the desk next to him. "Just knew it wasn't easy for her is all. But from what I saw-"
"Wait back up!" Kirishima chair made an awkward SQUEAK when Kaminari suddenly stopped from turning in his chair. "Dude, you knew about this the whole time?!"
"Well yeah…"
"How?!"
"Um…" Rubbing the back of his neck, he gave a scared jolt when he saw Bakugo also staring at him in surprise. "Remember when I used to visit Mina all those times?"
Clicking his tongue Bakugo should've figured that Kirishima was in the know. If Raccoon eyes knew then of course he did too, and vice versa.
"Why didn't you tell us man?!" Kaminari asked.
"Guys, that's not my place." Kirishima reminded them which seemed to make them understand when he saw them slowly nod.
"Well, who's the father?"
"Yeah?" Sero and Kaminari both asked.
"I um…" Nervously laughing Kirishima snuck a peek over at his best friend who just continued to stare back at him like he'd finally lost it. "I'm not sure. She erm…didn't say."
"Well, if my calculations are correct then she must've gotten pregnant sometime either when we were about to graduate or right after." Kaminari thoughtfully hummed and grinned when everyone looked back at him. "What? I know things!" he proudly wiggled his fingers. "And I know how to count."
"Wait you don't think it's anyone we know right?" Sero asked and once again all eyes landed on Kirishima.
"Why are you asking me?!" he continued to awkwardly laugh. "I-I…don't know! Don't you think that if I knew who the father was, I would say something? Even if he was with us in this very room right now hahaha…how would I know right?" When he saw everyone raise a questioning brow he nervously gulps. 'Man I'm getting rusty at this…'
"Well, I'm happy for her and everything, but that still caught me off guard." Sero admitted.
"No shit." Bakugo huffed, shaking his head. "Can't imagine shit like that being easy for anyone. Especially with our line of work."
Clutching her chest Uraraka continued to stare at the closed door accidentally having overheard the whole conversation inside. She couldn't pull herself to take another step forward as the voices inside continued.
"Why, you're telling me THE Dynamight never thought about having kids?" Kaminari teased.
"Hell no!" He disdainfully squinted his eyes, even offended at the mere thought. "Why the hell would I waste my time in something like that?" When he saw Kirishima seriously turn to him, Bakugo continued feeling his own frustration bubble to the surface especially after yet another meeting with his PR. He himself knew he didn't have time for a damn relationship. Being in one would always mean giving up on one or more things in his life. Things he couldn't afford to lose right now since he was so close to achieving his goal. And if he did happen to find someone and someone he could see himself having a family with, then he would do his outmost best to be there and be the best at that too. But for that he needed to get his shit together first and not a second sooner. "Don't look at me like that, you know that being a full-time hero doesn't give us time for shit like that. So yeah, it's great if someone like Uraraka can pull that off since she is strong and more than capable. But you'll never see me ruin my life like that."
"Ochaco?" Jirou's gentle voice said from behind as she watched her friend stare at the door in front of her. She had meant to tell Kaminari that she had left their lunch in the break room when she saw Uraraka standing shock still. And it didn't take her long to overhear them either.
She did her best to not let that comment get to her despite the sting she felt deep in her chest. Devastated was an understatement. She tried to blink back the tears and tried to keep her head high but still couldn't find it in her to speak when she heard Jirou call out to her again.
"Ochaco you ok?"
"I um -yeah I just um…" painfully hearing her strained voice she tried to clear it before speaking again but it was futile. "Just forgot Kiseki's bag."
"How could you say that?" Kirishima snapped back at a startled Bakugo.
"Oi keep your damn voice down Shitty hair and why the hell are you getting mad at me?!" Bakugo glared back. "You asked me, didn't you?!"
"You know what man, I gotta go." Kirishima shook his head before repeatedly pointing an accusatory finger at his friend. "And you my friend just…need to grow up!"
"Hah?!" He cluelessly watched as Kirishima stomped his way towards the door a second before it was swung open by a furious Jirou.
"Uraraka." Sero saw the gravity girl behind Jirou who he could tell had heard everything.
"Oh man." Kirishima shoulders dropped when he saw the forced smile she tried to keep.
Closing his eyes Bakugo suddenly felt like the biggest asshole in the world when he realized he put his foot in his mouth when he let his own frustration get the best of him.
"Sorry, I just forgot something." She made it a point to avert her eyes as Jirou marched to retrieve the diaper bag.
"Kyoka-"
"Don't." Jirou snapped back at Kaminari who snapped his mouth shut before she followed her friend out the door. "Let's go."
"Wait, Uraraka…" Kirishima saw her throw him a sad smile before she turned to leave.
Repeatedly parting his mouth Bakugo cursed under his breath before moving towards the door and stopping next to Kirishima who was watching them down the hall.
"Shit."
"Yeah, buddy you can say that again." Kirishima glared back at him but stopped when he saw Bakugo looking just as sorry if not more before he turned to walk to his own office and slamming his door in the process.
The walk back downstairs had been a blur as Jirou continued to furiously talk about what they had overheard, all the while Uraraka continued to try and keep her head up with the resolve that she wasn't going to let anyone get the satisfaction of watching her cry. Not here. And definitely not in front of Bakugo.
Was she furious? Yes, she was. She knew not to expect much but to hear those words coming from him of all people felt like a punch to the gut. She knew that he would never have even thought about saying anything like that before but now with his memories altered she couldn't be sure of anything anymore. But even so that didn't give anyone the right to talk about things they didn't fully understand let alone assume that she was ruining her life. Having Kiseki was the best thing that had ever happened to her, and she wasn't going to let him or anyone else tell her otherwise.
When they made it back to the lobby Mina's smile slowly vanished when she laid eyes upon the other two girls. "Oh no, what did those idiots do now?"
"Nothing. Can we just go please?" Uraraka lifted up the car seat with Kiseki who lay already fast asleep snuggled up in his little blue blanket. "I have to take him to daycare anyways."
Suspiciously squinting her eyes, Mina knew when Uraraka was trying to keep a brave face and flicked her eyes towards Jirou who looked back at her with a murderous look. "I see…" placing her hands on her hips Mina swiftly turned when she heard Uraraka already walking towards the exit. "Hey Ochaco!"
"It's fine. I'm fine ok." she briefly turned to give them a fake smile. "I'll be back after dropping him off."
"Well wait don't you want me to come with you?" Mina asked but saw that Uraraka was already far out the door. Growling, she turned back to Jirou as she headed back upstairs. "Alright let's go have a chat with them, shall we?"
"Right behind you." Jirou nodded already having made a mental list of everything she was going to say.
X
Stepping out onto the sidewalk Uraraka took a deep breath of fresh air, struggling to swallow through a tightening throat. Her shoulders fell along with a tear, then two which she quickly wiped away as she briskly walked over to her car. Unlocking it she carefully secured Kiseki inside before jumping into the driver's seat and began her short drive to the daycare.
By the time she finally arrived and turned off her car she found herself gripping the steering wheel so tight her knuckles turned while. With her head down she could see the tears clouding her vision despite her best efforts in keeping them at bay. This wasn't fair. None of it was and she knew it from the moment she saw those visions Hana forced her to see.
The visions that still continued to haunt her.
When she glanced back up, she could see Kiseki fully awake now staring at her through the little mirror in the back. "Hey you." She sniffled and began to wipe cheek before unbuckling her seatbelt and getting out of the car.
When she opened the door, she could see him curiously staring at her as he began to try and put his fists in his mouth while she worked to get him out. "Ready for another day?" She forced herself to smile despite how she felt, but she could still see the questioning look in his eyes as he reached his hand out to her tear-stained cheek. "Oh, my little Kiseki." She lightly giggled before fondly kissing him on the forehead. "Don't worry." She sniffled. "I'm alright now, thank you sweetie." That seemed to comfort the child when he began smiling back and eagerly wiggling in his seat. It just reminded her that as long as she had him, she could continue to take it one day at a time.
