A Dark Lord in a Dark City

Ominis was stunned by what he was seeing all around him. The city looked primitive, as well as dark and morbid, and that's saying something coming from a Sith. The people were all human and the vehicles he saw looked like land speeders, but they didn't hover over the ground like they should, instead they were on wheels.

Ominis quickly stepped back and retreated back into the alley before anyone would see him. He pulled out Ludo Kressh's hologram and activated it. The small form of the gatekeeper quickly appeared and instantly glared at the young Sith. "What happened?"Kressh demanded.

"I'll tell you what happened!"Ominis said as he ripped his helmet right off of him and glared back at his master. "I was attacked by fellow Sith who worked under the master of the Sith clan I used to be a part of! I defeated them, tried getting away with your Force Storm technique, but it sent me to who knows where!" Ominis took a deep breath and tried to calm his frantic thoughts.

The tiny form of Kressh rubbed his chin in deep thought by this revelation. "Interesting. Such a phenomenon is possible, so this is hardly a surprise."

"Wait, you knew this could happen?!" Ominis exclaimed in anger.

"Didn't you pay attention?"Kressh said with a droll tone before he started to explain his somewhat apprentice's folly. "The Force Storm pierces the veil of time and space. If the portal gets disrupted by outside interference, then the results could be sending you to an unintended destination not just through space, but through time itself. Many a Sith Lords have found themselves thrown through various points in the galaxy, and rumors spread that they sometimes went beyond the outskirts of the Outer Rim, farther than even beyond our own galaxy."

"So... I could be not just on an unknown world, but in an unknown galaxy?" Omni is said in shock.

"Anything is possible through the Force. You should know that."the small gatekeeper said nonchalantly. "Pray tell, where were you trying to send us?"

"Tatooine. There's an abandoned Sith outpost there I discovered." I answered as I paced around a bit, still trying to process everything. "It hasn't been used since the time of the Old Republic, so I figured it'd be a decent place to lay low."

"Well, clearly this isn't Tatooine."Kressh said sarcastically as he looked around in the dirty alley they were in. "The first thing you need to do is get your bearings. Find out where you are."

"Hey, you!" Ominis turned to see a a guy in a black leather jacket over a shirt and torn jeans walking up to him. "Your cash. All of it. Now." He demanded as he pulled out what Ominis believed to be a gun, though it didn't look like nay blaster he's seen before. "I won't ask twice."

"Ah, you're first source of information."Kressh said with a smirk.

Seeing the small hologram of the gatekeeper shocked the punk as his eyes widened at the sight. "What the hell?" The punk whispered in shock. "What is that thing?"

Ominis ignored him, just simply turning to face him with a glare. "You. Tell me everything you can about the planet I'm on." He demanded.

"Planet?" The thug said in confusion, before his eyes grew angry. "You some kind of alien, like that flying freak in Metroplis or the Martian?"

"What?" Ominis asked in confusion.

"Apprentice. A true Sith Lord doesn't ask, he takes."Kressh admonished. "Put my training to good use and take the information from this filth."

Ominous nodded as he lifted his hand up, causing the thug to be lifted up in the air by the Force. The thug was shocked and tried to shoot him, but a flick of the hand caused the gun to go flying right into Ominis' other hand.

"Interesting toy." Ominis said as he inspected the gun, before using the Force to crush it. He turned his attention back to the thug and shoved him against the wall. He held up his hand closer to the thug's head as he gave a piercing glare. "Now, you will tell me everything I want to know."

"Screw... you." The thug said through gritted teeth as he tried to break free, but it was like an invisible restraint was holding his muscles back.

Ominis glared at his defiance, so he held his hand up closer to his head and concentrate the power of the Dark Side to pierce his mind. While a Jedi can use the Force get a feel of what someone was thinking or feeling, a Sith is much more practical, and just take the info from the subject's mind. It was a painful process, but this thug looked to be the lowest form of scum, so it was no skin off his bones if it was painful to him.

The thug gritted his teeth as his head was in excruciating pain, feeling like pins and needles were piercing at his very brain. "What... what are you... doing?" The thug asked in immense discomfort.

Ominis said nothing as he began to see the knowledge this scum had in what his sorry excuse of a mind contained. He saw images of his life, some from his early childhood, he was brat in those times too, to most of his petty crimes, as well. Still, all this info gave him a generalization about what this world was like, including how technologically "advanced" it was.

"Pathetic." Ominis spat out as he let the thug go, causing him to fall to the ground and moan in pain from the intrusion to his mind. Ominis walked back to where the gatekeeper remained and gave a light glare. "The planet we're on is locally called Earth. The technology, from what I could gather in his mind, is primitive. They hardly mastered the art of space travel, only going as far as their own moon."

"Earth?"Ludo Kressh repeated with a look of confusion. "The locals named their planet after... dirt?"

"That's what I've got after I ripped the information out of his mind." Ominis said as he cast a glance at the thug who still groggily rolled on the ground holding his head in pain. "Well, it doesn't matter. I'll open another portal to Tatooine."

"Now, let's not be so hasty, apprentice."Kressh said before Ominis could think about using Force Storm again. "A Sith not only overcomes his obstacles, but sees if they can use them to their own benefit. You are on an unknown world. Possibilities could be found here."

Ominis thought about it, and he was right. Despite the brief glance of how primitive this world is, there must be something of value on this world. "I suppose a little exploring would be beneficial." Ominis said as he looked down the alley and glanced at all the pedestrians walking by in their casual clothes. "I'm gonna need to blend in, though."

Ominis deactivated the holocron and cast a glance over at the thug as he started to come to. With a clench of his fingers, he cut the airway of his throat, forcing the thug to grasp around his neck in desperation. With a simple flick of his wrist, the thug's neck snapped, causing him to go limp and die.

After a quick change into the dead man's clothes, and hiding away his cloak and armor, Ominis exited the alleyway and walked down the sidewalk, pulling up the hood of his newly acquired jacket. He placed Ludo Kressh's holocron in the inside pocket of the jacket, not wanting to just leave it lying around.

Walking down the sidewalk, Ominis couldn't help but feel a little tense. As a Sith, he's not accustomed to just walking among common people in public, always sticking to the shadows or behind the scenes, in case the public were to alert the Jedi. Here's, though, on this brand-new world he has landed himself on, he didn't need to worry about that. This is a world that is undiscovered or forgotten, most likely the former, so there was no risk involved when it came to the Jedi finding him, or worse yet, his rival Sith.

'No rival Sith.'Ominis thought to himself as it finally came to his mind. If this world is undiscovered and not under any galactic star maps, this could be an interesting planet to set up a home base in. A place where he can regroup and plan his next offensive in his conquest to becoming the Dark Lord of the Sith. 'One step at a time though.'

As he walked down the street, he felt his stomach beginning to grumble a bit, indicating his hunger. He hasn't really eaten anything ever since his training with the holocron began, so he was in need of some food. He looked around and spotted a stand in the corner that seemed to be selling some food, so he decided to walk over.

The vendor looked at him and gave a welcoming smile. "Welcome, sir. You want a hot dog?" He said as he brought out some type of meat in a bun. "Finest hot dogs in Gotham City!"

Ominis inspected the food in the vendors hand, before giving him a curious look. "How many credits does it cost?" He asked curiously.

"Credits? You mean a credit card?" The man asked in confusion before shaking his head and putting the hot dog away in the warmer. "Sorry, kid, I don't take credit card. It's cash only."

Ominis gave a light glare as he gave a light wave of his hand. "Actually, I can have it for free." He said evenly

"Actually, you can have it for free." The Vendor said with a smile as he passed him the hot dog with a carefree smile. "Enjoy, kid."

"I'm not a kid." Ominis said with a light grumble before walking away with his hot dog in hand. He inspected the food evenly, before giving a shrug and taking a bite out of it. "Hmmm... not bad." After that, the young Sith continued on his trek throughout the city.

/

'I am... slightly disappointed.'

That was the mindset of the young Sith as he spent nearly two hours just walking around the city and needless to say, this city had very little to offer, in his opinion. It was primitive, lacking in any technology that seemed advanced enough to his standards, so there wasn't really anything that he could work with if he wanted to establish a base here. Honestly, Boeing around all these primitives made him want to just open a Force Storm and get off this planet right then and there.

However, there is one thing about this city that seemed to have caught his interest, if only slightly.

From what he gathered from listening to conversations from passing by civilians, the criminal element of this Gotham City held a strong grip on it. Everyone apparently has a story about how either they or someone they know have either been mugged, robbed, or close to murdered. Thinking about that made his mind flash back to when he was a child and how his village was attacked by pirates, but he repressed those memories back into his mind. That was past, and he didn't need to remember.

When he started his apprenticeship into the Sith, he once thought that he would have the power to permanently quell the blight of the criminal underworld, seeing as how it once took everything from him, but his former master once told him something that does hold merit.

"The scum of the galaxy do not hold a candle to our power, but they have resources, and that's why they have value in most cases. As Sith, we have the power to control, and if we control the criminal element, then we can control their resources. Those that resist our control... we decimated, without mercy."

'I doubt the primitive criminal life on this world holds value, though.'Ominis thought with contempt.

As he continued to walk aimlessly, making a note of all his turns and directions so he could find his way back to his cloak and armor, he soon found himself close to an establishment that looked like a fancy restaurant for the most privileged elite. There was a long wait line, people were dressed in fancy clothes, and a door man letting people enter when they were called. It honestly reminded him of the exterior of those fancy establishments he's seen images of on the upper levels of Coruscant.

He was about to pay it no mind and continued his trek, but paused when he heard the sounds of a vehicle approaching, its tires screeching along the pavement of the road. He looked back to see a large vehicle approaching, before skidding to a halt right in front of the restaurant. All of the doors opened and four men stepped out, and they were not dressed for dinner. Each of them wore a type of body armor and had what looked like a stun baton strapped to their backs.

The four of them walked towards the door and the security guard that stood on the side stepped towards them. "I'm afraid I'm gonna ask you lot to-" He never had the chance to finish his sentence as one of the four armed men upholstered his stun baton and shocked the guard into unconsciousness. This caused everyone that was emailing in line for entry to scream and run away as fast as they could. With no opposition, the four of them walked inside.

"Well... this should at least be somewhat entertaining." Ominis said with a shrug as he followed closely behind.

/

The four assailants walked through the restaurant, pushing staff, maƮtre d's, and guests alike as they stormed past tables. Many of the patrons were horrified by this and quickly got up and left their tables, and some of the staff heading into the back.

After a few seconds, the entire fancy dining hall was completely empty, except for the four men and a single patron. This patron sat as the table at the center of the dining room, casually enjoying his meal. He was an elderly man with thin, almost balding hair, traces of a mustache on his upper lip, and had a cane right by his side.

One of the four armed men approached and gave the man a glare. "You should have taken Black Mask's deal." He said in a threatening tone.

"And you should have waited until I finished my dinner." The elder man said as he continued eating, not sparing them a glance. "That's the problem with Gotham's criminals these days, no class or sense of decency." He chuckled as he finally looked at them, not feeling threatened by their presence. "In my day, we had a sense of honor, now we just act like... ruthless barbarians, waving our clubs around."

"Your days are over, old man." The armed assailant said as he held up his baton. "Black Mask offered you so much money, and all you had to do was give him loyalty, and the deed to some of the land you own."

"And have it be his personal playground for drug smuggling, toxic waste managements, and demolitions?" The old man said as he gave a deadly glare at the four of them. "You know, there are schools in those areas. I made it clear when I was the Don of Gotham that children were off limits."

"Yeah, well the boss ain't you, and he's got big plans for Gotham." The armed assailant said with a nonchalant shrug, before his demeanor went back to being cold. "Now, let's get this over with."

"I suppose I should at least feel somewhat grateful you brought those, instead of guns." The old man said as he pointed to their batons and went back to eating his meal. "This place has been around since I was a boy, and I hate to see it damaged too badly."

"The boss wants this to be slow and painful." The lead armed assailants said with a dangerous glint in his eyes as his baton sparked with electricity. "Now, time to put this old fossil back in the ground."

"Picking on an old man?" All four assailants turned around to see a young teen boy just walking up and giving a light glare to the criminals. The four of them looked stunned by this, while the old man simply raised a single eyebrow in fascination. "You think attacking a defenseless old man gives you power? It honestly makes you look pathetic."

"What did you say?" One of the assailants said with a glare as he pointed his baton at him. "I suggest you walk away right now, before you do something you're gonna regret."

"Everything I've done in my life I have no regret for." Ominis said as he continued to step forward. "I sure as hell know I won't regret this."

"Well, look at this, boys? This young man thinks he's Batman." The lead assailant said with a laugh, causing the others to laugh along with him. "Just give us one moment, kid. We'll be finished soon, and then you'll be introduced to a world of pain."

The lead assailant went back to facing the old man and raised his electric baton to shock him, but before he could make contact with his weapon, his body all of a sudden froze. He gasped in shock as he tried to push forward, but his body felt like a vice grip was pale e upon him, holding him in place. The old man looked up and his expression became slightly stunned.

The other three assailants were shocked, as well, but when they looked back at the young man that interrupted their business, they quickly put together he was the one doing this. His single hand was raised while he maintained his glare at them all, where they could see that his eyes yellow tinge to them.

"Well... how about that." The old man said with an impressed smile.

"I'll do you one better." Ominis said as he moved his wrist to the side, twisting the assailant's arm at a painful angle. "How about I introduce you to a galaxyof pain." With a swift sweep of his hand, the armed man just flew to the other side of the dining, crashing into multiple tables.

The other three assailants were stunned by what they had seen, but they quickly shook it off as they all brandished their electric batons. "You're dead, kid!" One of them exclaimed as all three of them charged at Ominis.

One of them tried to stick him with the baton, but Ominis just stood to the side and used the Force to push the baton out of his grasp before kneeing him in the stomach, causing him to hunch over pain. He walked behind him and kicked him in the back, sending him crashing into a table. Another of the goons came at him from the side, but he dodged each strike from his baton with ease.

This guy was just swinging his weapon around wildly, with no finesse whatsoever. He's faced off against other Sith, beings that held powerful blasters, and has been and is being trained by powerful Sith Masters of both present and past. They wouldn't last even a second if they went up against him with his lightsaber, but he decided not to draw it, wanting to have a little fun since his life isn't in danger.

After dodging a few more strikes from the assailant's baton, he tripped him up with a swift kick, and used a Force push that sent him flying and crashing into the wall. The fourth assailant thought he had him in his blind spot, but he could sense him approaching, so when he tried to strike from behind, Ominis did an acrobatic backflip and landed right behind him, before lifting up in the air with the Force and held him in place.

"Put me down!" The assailant exclaimed as he tried to break free from the telekinetic grip Ominis had on him.

"If you insist." Ominis said as he slammed him to the ground hard.

All four assailants got back up, albeit a bit groggily as they soon circled around Ominis and glared hatefully at him. Ominis just smirked, enjoying the feel of their anger radiating off their bodies. The dark side was feeding off it, and their frustration was just adding fuel to the fire of their demise.

Predictably, all four assailants charged at him at once, but Ominis did a spin on his heels and spread his arms out, using the Force to push them, and the surrounding tables and furniture around him back. He looked at the side to do a quick check on the old man, and did a small sigh of relief to see that he was still at his table, which hadn't been topple over. The old man just continued to watch the scene unfold before him as he was finishing up his dinner, but was taking his time eating, like he was watching a show of entertainment.

'He's an odd one.'Ominis thought to himself before turning his attention back to the armed men who all groggily got up. "You lot really are insects. No matter how many times I take you down, you just get back up."

"You... you little punk." The leader of the goons said with gritted teeth of rage. "You have any idea who you're messing with?! We're the enforcers of Black Mask! He runs this city, and you have the gall to challenge his authority?!

"I don't recognize anyone's authority but my own." Ominis said with narrowed eyes. "This Black Maskyou speak of means nothing to me."

"You... You..." the leader muttered in anger, gripping his baton so hard his knuckles were becoming white. "I swear I am going to make you suffer and deliver your head to the boss on a silver platter!"

Ominis' eyes narrowed at what the thug said. "You really shouldn't make threats that you can't keep." He said as he reached behind his jacket.

"That's not a threat, it's a fact!" The man exclaimed as he charged right towards Ominis with his electric baton sparking with electricity.

SNAP-HISS!

The man gasped in shock as Ominis just zoomed right up to him in the blink of an eye and pierced him in the chest with his lightsaber.

"You're dead now. That's a fact." Ominis said unflinchingly as he let the man drop dead to the four. The other three of them were shocked by what they saw, before Ominis glared his yellow eyes at them, pointing his lightsaber towards them. "You all had your chance, now I'm done playing."

Ominis charged at them, and one of the three goons tried to jab his baton at him, but his weapon was easily cut in half by the young Sith's lightsaber. Before he had a chance to react, Ominis cut him down where he stood. The other two goons were shocked by what they saw as they attempted to get away, but Ominis used the Force to grab a table and toss it at them, knocking them down to the ground.

Ominis stalked towards them slowly, watching as they struggled to get up. He used Force lightning on one of them, shocking him to death before he could rise to his feet. The fourth and final goon quickly stood up and dropped his baton, raising his hands in fear.

"Hey! Hey! I'm sorry!" The man pleaded as he looked at Ominis in fear. "Please, just give me a chance! Mercy, please!"

For a brief moment, Ominis seemed to consider it. He was nothing but a sniveling coward now that he didn't have the numbers advantage. But then his mind flashed back to the days of his childhood into the Sith, where his master hammered in his lessons deep into him.

A day where he was forced to watch and observe prisoners his master's forces have captured over the years of his crusade against the many Sith clans. For days his master has ordered him to do nothing but watch as they begged for more food, more water, or freedom. Back then, he wasn't sure what was more torturous, the people suffering in the prisons, or him watching them suffer.

One day as he continued to just stand there and watch the prisoners, his master came walking in and demand to see one of them. A Bith who begged for his life and pleaded mercy.

The response his master gave was just to kill him with Sith lightning.

After the Bith was dead, he said these words that still relayed in his mind all these years later.

"Those who have the gall to beg for mercy, do not deserve it." Ominis said strongly before he cut him down with his lightsaber. With him dead, the dining room became completely silent as he inspected the dead bodies with a glance. However, the silence was soon broken when he heard the sounds of clapping, causing him to turn and notice the old man that he just helped was applauding him.

"Quite a spectacle you just made, my young friend." The old man said with a smile.

"They had it coming." Ominis said casually.

"Oh, they most definitely did." The old man said as he gestured to the chair across from him. "Sit with me. Let me buy you a good meal."

"I already ate, thank you." Ominis said as he was about to leave.

"Oh, but I insist." The old man said as he gestured to the chair again before looking towards the door that led to the kitchen. "Giovanni! Bring us your finest gnocchi!"

A server's head popped out of the door, still looking a bit cautious and fearful from the experience. "Yes... of course, sir." The server said fearfully as he popped his head back into the kitchen. Seeing that the old man was going to be stubborn about all this, Ominis just sighed and sat down at the chair across from him. Not long later, the servers came out and brought him the food requested. "This was another guests order, but I think this is better suited for you."

"Thank you." Ominis said as he took a fork and started eating the strange pasta dish. He had to admit, it was pretty good."

"You have my thanks, Giovanni. And don't you worry about the damages, I'll cover all of it." The old man said as Giovanni walked away. He gave Ominis a smile as he held out his hand to him. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Carmine Falcone."

"My name is Ominis." The young Sith said as he shook Falcone's hand.

"Ominis, you say?" Falcone said in slight surprise. "Well, you sound like a man with an air of mystery to him, then."

"Maybe I just don't like people prying." Ominis said with a glare.

"Fair enough." Falcone said with a chuckle as he held up his hands in a placating gesture. "Anyway, once again, my thanks for taking care of those men."

"Who were they?" Ominis said as he glanced at the dead bodies.

"Just a bunch of thugs who work for Black Mask." Falcone said with a frown.

"They said that name too. Who is this Black Mask?" Ominis asked curiously as he continued to eat.

Falcone looked at Ominis in surprise for a moment, giving him a look that said are you serious. "You haven't been in Gotham that long, have you." Falcone said after a moment of silence. "Black Mask is today what I used to be back in my hay day. The Don of Gotham. The head of the largest criminal empire all throughout this city."

"You're a criminal?" Ominis asked in slight surprise.

"Retired." Falcone said with a dismissive wave. "After I retired a lot of hungrier and younger men stepped in to take my place, and Black Mask, back then known as Roman Sionis, exceeded them all." Falcone said, before his face turned a bit grim. "And by exceeded, I mean butchering them all till he was all that's left."

"Sounds interesting." Ominis said, nit really all that intimidated. He's heard it all before, about how power-hungry criminals would rise up and think they could rule everything with their power. They think themselves Sith, but a real Sith has actualpower, while they pretend to.

"So then, Ominis, how did you do what you just did there?" Falcone asked as he gestured to all the toppled over and destroyed tables during his massive Force push. "You definitely have powers of some kind, which isn't that surprising, given the state of the world."

"Wait, what do you mean?" Ominis asked curiously. "Are you saying that there are others on this world capable of using the Force?"

"The Force?" Falcone asked curiously, before something Ominis said caused his eyes to widen slightly. "Wait a minute... you said 'this world?' Does that mean... you're an alien?"

"I'm not an alien, I'm as human as you." Ominis said with a glare. "I just happen to have been transported to this planet today where everyone else is human."

"Hate to break it to you kid, but that's still makes you alien on this planet. I mean, just ask Superman." Falcone said with a joking smile.

"Who?" Ominis asked in confusion, before getting frustrated. "Look, you said there were others with gifts on this world like me. Is this true or not?"

"Well, there are people with powers, but not like you, that's for sure." Falcone said as he looked Giovani who was cleaning things up, along with the other servers that were there, but obviously they left the dead bodies alone. "Giovanni, show this kid a video of the Justice League."

The server came up and pulled out a rectangular device Ominis has never seen before, but decided not to say anything and just watch. Giovanni held the device close to the young Sith and played a video.

What played shocked Ominis to his very core.

The video displayed various individuals in battles, all wearing multicolored outfits that looked ridiculous in his eyes, but then again, he's heard most Sith Lords wore some outrageous outfits. Even his armor seems a bit much, but it was his decision to wear it. However, the costumes weren't the thing that truly shocked him... it was their abilities.

He watched a man in a cape and a stylized 'S' on his chest fly, shoot lasers from his eyes, and lift up vehicles with ease. He saw a woman with a lasso fly as well, and have great strength. He watched a man in a costume all in black and had pointed ears on his cowl do acrobatics that were akin to a Sith and Jedi Master if they didn't use the force, plus used a variety of versatile gadgets.

There were much more individuals that baffled him, one that ran super-fast in the blink of an eye, a man in orange armor with strength and seemed to be stronger in the water, a green skinned alien creature he's never seen before, a woman whose screams sent shockwaves, and archer with great precision, a man that seemed to command lightning, a man in green that could create anything due to a measly ring, a man and woman with bird wings, a silver suited individual shooting energy out of his hands, and someone in all red that created tornadoes.

"What... what is this?" Ominis whispered in shock.

"These are the Justice League, a team of heroes on this world who fight criminals and other super powered individuals who threaten our world." Falcone said as he gestured for Giovanni to leave them.

"When you said they have abilities like me, I thought you meant they could wield the Force." Ominis said as he held up his hand and had all their utensils float up in the air.

"So that's what this is?" Falcone asked with intrigue.

"Where I come from, the only ones with special gifts are those who can access the Force." Ominis said as he placed the utensils down. "There two kinds of factions that have these individuals. Those that serve the light side of the Force, the Jedi, and those that embrace the dark side of the Force, known as Sith." The young Sith thought back to the video and his eyes narrowed in frustration, still trying to contemplate what he just watched. "What those people just did... it goes beyond any teachings of what the Force can provide. It's... mind boggling."

"Yeah, but the people of this world are somewhat used to it." Falcone said with an understanding look. "You see, the leader of the Justice League, the one known as Superman, the man with the S on his chest, when he made his big debut, it shocked the world. An alien with powers akin to a god came onto the scene and made an impact by protecting the people of the world. Ever since then, more and more people with unique gifts have been coming out of the woodwork."

"So, this is all fairly recent for your people?" Ominis asked.

"Not so recent. I mean, my father used to talk to me about another unique group of individuals called the Justice Society of America, but that's a story for another time." Falcone said with a shrug.

Ominis just continued to sit there, no longer thinking about his unfinished food, still trying to contemplate all that he just saw. The Sith were considered to be a dominating force, even more back during their reign in the Old Republic era, but these individuals, this Justice League, can bring about devastation with their small numbers. The Sith were powerful, but he wasn't sure who'd come out on top if they were to face off the current Sith order. He would have to know more for that answer.

"I have to go." Ominis said as he abruptly stood up and was about to leave.

"Where are you going to go?" Falcone asked curiously.

"I don't know, but I need time to think." Ominis said as he walked towards the door.

"Then allow me to provide you shelter." Falcone said, causing Ominis to stop and look at him with a raised eyebrow. "My estate is large, mostly empty, and would be the perfect place to gather your thoughts. I can assume you have no place to hold down since you said you arrived on this world today."

Ominis gazed at him with his eyes narrowing slightly. "Why are you being so generous? No one gives out charity like that, unless there's something to gain." Ominis said with a glare.

"Falcone couldn't help but smirk right back. "You're pretty clever, son." Falcone said as he stood up with aide of his cane. "Black Mask isn't going to stop coming after me, and I have very little connection as I did back in my younger years to or die me with a force for protection." Falcone walked towards Ominis and stood in front of him, giving a serious look. "I'll provide you a place to stay, and you can keep Black Mask's men off me until I can think of a permanent solution."

Ominis stared hard into Falcone's eyes and what he saw was certainly a bit surprising. The look of Falcone's eyes was akin to a hardened warrior, a man who has seen and done many things throughout his long life. A man who demanded respect, but due to his age has lost most of it.

"You're trying to manipulate me." Ominis said as he crossed his arms and continued to glare at the old former crime lord. "You know I can kill you with ease, right?"

"I know." Falcone said, his tone unwavering.

For a while, the two of them just stared hard at each other, before Ominis couldn't help but smirk at him. "You've got guts, old man. Fine, I accept your deal." He said as the two of them shook hands. The young Sith soon looked around at the dead bodies that lingered on the floor. "What are we going to do about all this?"

"Don't worry. I may not have as much connections as I used to, but I still have friends." Falcone said as he dialed a number on his phone. "I'll make a call and by tomorrow it'll be as if none of this ever happened. Come, my car is not that far." Falcone as the two of them walked out to the restaurant exit.

"Good." Ominis said with a nod. "I'll also need to make a stop to gather my things."

/

After leaving the restaurant and having Falcone take him to the alley he hid his cloak and armor, the two of them drove their way towards Falcone's private estate.

It was along the outskirts of Gotham, so there was plenty of privacy and no neighbors up on top of a hill. The place was a massive mansion with three stories, multiple windows, and massive garden along the front. Apparently, this mansion was passed down by the Falcone family for generations ever since they came to Gotham. Carmine Falcone may not have many criminal connections anymore, but Ominis couldn't help but joke that it wasn't needed if he was rich enough.

After a long day of getting settled, Ominis wanted to be left alone for his thoughts after all that has transpired for the day. Falcone understood and set the young Sith up with a bedroom that was pretty big with a king-sized bed.

Night has soon come and Ominis hasn't left his room ever since. He sat cross legged and held out of his hands to his side, one of his lightsabers floating up and in pieces with its artificial red kyber crystals being seen and glowing brightly. In front of him stood a TV along the wall, which Falcone was able to show him how to work and he just watched aimlessly, scrolling through many channels with the remote.

He paused in his scrolling, however, when the image changed to the one known as Superman appeared on screen.

"After a long battle, Superman has once again defeated Atomic Skull, with the super criminal being set up to return to Black Gate Prison. Now here's hoping-"

Ominis has heard enough and just switched off the TV and put his lightsaber back together. He gave a sigh of frustration as he stood up and just paced around the room in deep thought. His gazed traveled to the side where the holocron of Ludo Kressh sat at a small table tray. Stepping towards it, he channeled the power of the dark side through the holocron, causing it to activate and have the gatekeeper appear.

"Apprentice, you've kept me in there for a while now."Ludo Kressh said in a serious tone, though it lacked any true rage. "I can only assume that means you learned much about this world."

"I have, Kressh." Ominis said as he walked towards the window and looked up into the night sky. None of the stars matched up with the constellation patterns he knew, so that can only mean one thing. "You said that the Force Storm traverse's the boundaries of time and space. Well... I believe that mine has sent me to a planet not in our own galaxy."

"I figured as much."The gatekeeper said with a nod. His look became more serious when Ominis refused to look at him. "Something else is on your mind, apprentice. Speak it."

"This world... I was ready to dismiss it due to its low technological level, but I was wrong." Ominis said with his eyes narrowed. "This world has produced individuals with great power, power that could maybe trump the ancient Sith of your day, maybe even against Lord Vitiate himself." Ludo Kressh didn't say anything about the name, instantly thinking it was a Sith Lord after his time. "I've also been thinking about what you said, about obstacles and opportunities."

"Yes?"Kressh inquired, wanting him to go on.

Ominis remained silent still, but then he turned around to face him with a smirk. "This world has the biggest obstacles I've seen... and therefore has the biggest opportunities."

Ludo Kressh couldn't help but return the smirk back to his apprentice. Here, in this moment, he saw a glimpse of the Dark Lord he could become. "Then let's get started."Kressh responded.

Hey everyone, I'm back with a new chapter for you all!

This chapter was definitely fun to write, because it's all about Ominis taking his first steps into integrating himself in this world. It was especially fun to write Carmine Falcone, who has become one of my favorite Gotham City crime lords ever since I watched Gothamand when I watched the DC animated movies The Long Halloween. My version of Carmine Falcone is basically an older version, kind of like the one from Gothamwho has been doing this for a long time that he's just done being a player in the crime game, but still has influence and connections.

I figured he'd be the perfect one to help Ominis integrate himself onto this world, and truly become a mentor figure for him to help him understand how this world works.

I hoped I did Ominis' reaction to the Justice League right, even if it was brief. I wanted him to be stunned to his very chore at seeing these super powered individuals, even though a couple of them don't have super powers but are still seen as a legitimate threat. Still, he is a Sith, and like all Sith, when they see great power, they want to exploit it, and this world has plenty for him to exploit.

Next chapter is going to have him learn more about Gotham in general, as I want him to get integrated with the city first before he starts branching out to the entire world. He may want to be the next Dark Lord of the Sith, but he's still learning, and he has much more power to gain.

Next chapter will see him come into more conflict, but also be gaining more knowledge and a surprising ally. Who will it be? Well, you'll just have to wait and see.

Now, I'm still accepting votes for whether or not you all want to me to reboot my A Song of Ice, Fire, and Beskarstory to have it take place in House of the Dragon first, and then doing a second sequel story that goes into Game of Thrones. Votes are still going, and so far doing a reboot is in the lead, so let's see how far it can go.

Anyway, that's all I have to say everyone. Stay healthy, stay safe, and I'll see you all next time.
