Could ya imagine being stuck in a time loop? Never aging, all the time to do everything you wanted? Only kicker was you died horribly at the end of each one. Would it be worth it to live forever?
-Story Start-
Shinji knew he was a good cook, several lifetimes over had given him lots of practice. By this point in this kitchen especially he could probably cook entire meals all with his eyes closed. So Rei joining him for breakfast after he had returned from his morning run and workout was no surprise. A fully dressed Misato giving him instructions as she was about to leave was only sort of a surprise. What day was it again?
"So remember, I'm going to be gone for a few days for a conference. Real boring stuff, nothing to worry about. But you'll be on your own with PenPen." Misato was at the door trying to get her shoes while while the third child leaned out of the kitchen to watch her.
"What's this about again?" Full uniform? Small bag with a day's worth of clothes? Ah, it was time for the jet alone tin can.
"Oh just some old men who had their egos bruised and won't let it go. Don't worry, I'll be back soon safe and sound." Turning back to the boy she gave him a wink, "You're in charge okay? But no funny business, we can't have preggers pilots trying to save the world." Giggling at his mock outburst, Misato waved and left, door shutting quietly behind her.
Going back to finishing preparing their meal and placing food on the table, Rei was adding orange juice to both of their settings. Rei however was still standing as the boy was pulling out his seat and sitting. "Seems we'll have a lot of time to ourselves." Rei's voice was quiet, monotone, and predictable as far as Shinji was concerned. Not even 30 seconds out the door.
"Yes, yes we do." He said nothing as the girl deposited herself into his lap, legs on either side of his thighs. She quietly wrapped her arms around his neck while he held her thighs, "Not even a full minute. Don't you want breakfast first?"
"Me…or an omelette?" Stare flat the girl knew what she wanted.
"I'll get in trouble if I say omelette won't I?" Feeling a pinch on his neck he chuckled and pulled her closer to him, "Hai hai, come here."
"Baka." Actual emotion entering her voice now, something more loving and inviting, their lips met and the two enjoyed a long and quiet make out session at the kitchen table. That his hands began to wander eventually only made her happier, their tongues twisting and turning against each other sent her heart and mind realing. Rei herself ground her hips into his, twin moans escaping both of them, before they both pulled away panting.
"Teenage hormones are a bitch."
Rei nodded, "I say we skip school."
Shinji chuckled and leaned forward, trailing kisses along her neck and jaw before kissing her hotly again. Hearing her moan, he pulled away eventually and enjoyed the sight of her panting and blushing, "As much fun as that would be, Misato would get a phone call and then we'd be in real trouble."
"You have a hot teenager in your lap and you're worried about another woman?"
"Do you want to change the timeline and have to explain to Asuka why we don't live near each other anymore?" Seeing Rei really think about this for a minute, eventually she sighed and shook her head. "Didn't think so."
"Poo." Not wanting to move as she was really enjoying his hands rubbing against her, she gave him one final deep kiss before extracting herself and returning to her side of the table.
"C'mon, let's finish up and get going, you can have your way with me after school."
Suddenly very interested in her meal, Rei nodded, "I'll need the energy then."
"You and Asuka can't be friends next run."
"I'll hunt you down and break your legs." That her voice had returned to it's dispassionate monotone told him she would actually follow through with that threat. She'd done it, once or twice. Turning to his own meal, he wondered how Asuka was doing. She should be well on her way on the aircraft carrier by now, which also meant she was locked on a boat with that guy. Hopefully she hadn't killed him and stuffed him in a closet somewhere. Seeing Rei finish her meal and stand up to wash her plate, Shinji soon followed her example and they were out the door minutes later.
Shinji however shouldn't have been surprised as when they entered the elevator Rei pounced on him again. Lips locked together, he gave in and pulled the girl fully into his arms. Bodies melding together he let his hands roam a bit much to her delight. Just before they reached the ground floor they pulled away from each other, saliva trailing a bit between their mouths while they caught their breath. Door opening they turned to see the surprised faces of Toji and Kensuke. Oh, right, he forgot they showed up from time to time.
"Uh-uh-uh, good morning!" Kensuke was blushing and stammering. How could Ikari move so fast! Misato and Rei? Life wasn't fair!
"Balls of steel Shinji…" Toji muttered and clapped his hands, offering a prayer to his new god.
Rolling his eyes and grabbing Rei's hand who gave a happy squeak, Shinji pushed through the boys with a smile, "You morons, let's go."
"Teach me your ways oh great swami!"
Shinji flatly ignored Toji as Kensuke and he rushed to catch up with the pair. Both of them now on Shinji's left side while Rei cuddled into his right, he decided this wasn't a bad thing. At least they could more public now. Though that would make Asuka's return all the more interesting. Hmmm.
Kensuke was searching for his camera, "So uh, we were thinking we could hang out after school today, you know, see the sights, crash at your apartment." See your hot guardian.
Shinji shook his head, "Sorry guys, I'm a little busy today and Misato is going to be gone for a few days anyway. Maybe tomorrow?" He couldn't remember if he would be getting a Nerv alert today or tomorrow. Oh well, they'd understand.
Toji pumped a fist in the air, "Sure thing, arcade tomorrow and maybe a mall crawl. There's this new burger place I've been dying to try."
"Is your stomach the only thing you think with?" Kensuke leaned away from the predictable head slap.
"His muscles are the other." Shinji too had to lean away from a head slap.
Rei ignored it all and cuddled into Shinji's side. She would not be denied her cuddles. Now that she had almost free reign? Oh ho ho, Shinji was in trouble.

Misato sighed as she leaned back in her chair with a groan. She wanted to be upset that the only two women at this conference were herself and Ristuko. As if no women engineers or CEOs existed in Tokyo-2. Never mind that the Nerv table seemed to be segregated from everyone else. It was boring and irritating that they would have to put up with backwards thinking men for the next couple days. They didn't even have decent booze either. What a drag.
Ritsuko sighed, "You should at least attempt to be professional."
"What's the point, they only invited us to be polite, we should have ignored them and kept to ourselves."
"It's a defense competitor against the Angels, of course we have to show our faces." Ritsuko of course could admit to herself that she understood Misato's irritation. All these people in one place, and probably the smartest minds were at their table. For shame. The presenter however was getting to the meat of his presentation.
"While we applaud the success of Nerv for defeating the Angels so far, it's time for someone a little more knowledgeable on how to make weapons take the reigns. After all, who thinks giant guns are the way to go against aliens? They sure don't seem to be working, do they? Why, the only long range weapon they've used so far that works was a JSSDF creation, not even theirs! For shame." Getting chuckles from the crowd, Ristuko grumbled under her breath.
"Still happy to be here?" Prime teasing material meant MIsato was finally awake.
"Hush, the pallet rifle should have worked, we tested it thoroughly."
"Oh relax, we're working on energy weapons and new progressive knife variants, it'll be fine." Misato wasn't going to mention that Ritsuko had tried to sneak in a giant gatling gun. She really was starting to think her friend might have a gun fetish.
"This whole thing is just a presentation so the manly men can have their big toy to play with. And Eva would demolish the jet alone." Ritsuko wasn't sour at all. Big guns worked and they were just damned cool!
The presenter however was continuing through his speech, "Till now the only worthwhile problem to crack was the alien's barrier. Which we give credit, Nerv has figured out now to neutralize. But it won't be long until we do the same, and then? Isn't it better to use something that can be mass produced and doesn't require literal children to pilot?" Getting some cheers and applause, Misato didn't have a full comeback against that. Sour herself that they had to send the children out to fight. "So today, let's have a full test of the Jet Alone, to show the potential of the next stage of Angel defense." Turning to the giant screen that came online behind him, the crowd was gifted with the sight of a giant robot with long knee length arms colored a cream and red standing in a holding rack.
Ritsuko sighed, "It looks like a trash can."
"It's kinda cute." Misato did admit to herself however, as the machine launched and began to walk, that it did actually look a bit like a walking trash can. She however noted that the presenter was beginning to look nervous as the test continued, "Something's wrong."
"Hmmm…seems like it's picking up speed."
"Now um…no one panic, but it might be time to evacuate the building!" There was a rumble as the jet alone crashed through a portion of said building and kept going, and the Nerv women sighed.
"Time to get to work then?"
Ritsuko shrugged, "It's not really our business is it?"
"We could look like heroes saving the city from a nuclear powered robot. Preventing it from exploding and killing everyone." Misato was already standing and getting on the phone.
The scientist thought about it and then nodded, "You have a point, it'd be good stress relief at least."
After planning, pulling Shinji from school, and loading him and the Eva onto a transport plane, they were ready to stop the Jet Alone. It was hours later and held in the hand of the Eva unit 1 Misato was testing her communicator, "Can ya hear me Shinji?"
"I'd like to mention, again, that this is a bad idea." Idly noting the transport was lowering it's altitude for the drop, he prepared himself. "In fact, it would have been faster if we had just dropped a N2 mine on this thing and called it a day."
"The robot is actually nuclear Shinji. Dropping a N2 on it would have irradiated the place, which is what we're trying to avoid."
"Still say this is a bad idea." Shinji wasn't whining, no sir. Men didn't do that.
"You sound like Ritsuko. Don't worry, we got this." MIsato held tight to one of the Eva's fingers as the hand curled around her protectively. Plane making the drop and arcing away quickly without all of the extra load, Misato had to hold in her lunch as the feeling of free fall hit her.
"Contact." Shinji called out as he hit the ground and slid before transitioning to a run, the jet Alone not far ahead of them. "Will I get into a lot of trouble if we damage this thing?"
"Nah, just don't damage the core and we should be good."
Over the radio another voice joined in, "Damage it at all and we'll be sending Nerv the bill!" Ah, it was the presenter again.
"Damage the robot to save countless lives, or let it go nuclear and destroy all of Tokyo-2?" Misato giggled as she could hear teeth gnashing over the line.
Ritsuko chimed in from the command center, "I'm sure it doesn't need it's extremities Shinji." She was all for cutting apart this toy.
Shinji was activating the Evangelion pylons. Sections opening up, both produced a progressive knife. Grabbing the first one with his right hand, he was close enough now to throw the it through the back of one of the mechanical knees of the Jet Alone. Going down without a sound, they caught up quickly and Shinji grasped the back of the machine with his free hand while stomping on it's other leg with his left. Robot pinned, he deposited Misato onto it's shoulder and then held on with his left. "I still think this is a bad idea."
"No worries Shinji, if this fails the Eva should be able to survive the explosion."
"Yeah, you being so cavalier with your own life is what I'm worry about Misato." Seeing the woman salute him, she disappeared into the beast. He himself considered hacking off the arms of the machine just for the fun of it. It was barely fighting back, arms flailing to try and knock him loose. Reaching down he removed his thrown knife from the robot and returned it to it's storage bay, closing the Eva's pylons. Locking the controls, he lowered the Eva's power usage, "Now the boring part."
"The code isn't working!" Misato called out before he could hear her grunting as if she was doing something strenuous.
"Then that means get out of there, we need to leave!" Shinji didn't want to take chances, he was almost ready to carve her out of this thing and run away himself.
"I got this, I'll push the control rods in by hand instead."
Ritsuko's voice called out from the command center, "Do you know how much force that requires? Get out of there, this thing is going to blow."
"Not on my watch!" Misato's voice yelled out as she strained to do just what she was told was impossible. Though after a few dozen seconds of pushing the reactor shut down on it's own, the control rods sliding into place and leaving her on the ground. Puzzled and a little confused, her mind went into overdrive trying to figure it out. It had accepted the code, but ignored it till the last minute. Hmm….someone wanted this to happen it seemed, bummer.
Shinji was relieved as he heard confirmation that the robot shut off finally. There were some timelines that this thing still went off, killing Misato. He usually went crazy during those timelines. Shaking thoughts of fire and brimstone out of his mind and turned his attention back to the outside world. Watching Misato climb out of the maintenance hatch, she unzipped the radiator suit with a massive sigh, finally able to escape the heat. "You okay Misato?"
"I could use a good meal and a cold beer Shinji." Looking up to the Eva's eyes, she flashed him a peace sign while lowering her suit further for some much needed air.
"Heh, soon as we get home."
-b-
Several days later, Shinji sat bouncing his leg and trying to control his excitement. On a helicopter and out over the ocean, they were on their way to pick up Asuka. Well, he wasn't supposed to know that, but this was one event that always stood out to him. Ignoring Toji trying to hit on Misato and Kensuke filming everything, he thought back to the rather passionate send off Rei had been able to sneak in before they left. Still upset they hadn't figured out how to make sure she could go, they'd figure it out one loop, so long as it didn't break things to much.
"We're coming up on the fleet now, can you see it?" The pilot's voice echoed in their headsets, and Kensuke was already at a window to record everything he could.
"That's the Pacific fleet! And look, the flagship super carrier, Over the Rainbow!" As he began to mutter about aircraft amounts and water displacement, Toji's eyes were drawn to shapely vision of Misato shifting her legs.
"Shinji you're the best friend a guy could ask for."
Sighing the boy in question nodded while making sure his backpack was secure at his legs. "Yeah yeah, don't say I never did anything for you. And might wanna hold on to that hat of yours."
"It's my lucky charm, I won't let anything happen to it."
Misato leaned back towards the pilot, keying her mic, "How much longer do ya think?"
"Just a minute or two captain." True to his word, within a few minutes they were landing on the deck and shutting down their craft. With the doors opened Kensuke was out first, followed by Toji who immediately had to run after his hat. Misato and then Shinji left last, the younger man letting his guardian leave first. It was the better view after all as he tossed his bag on his back.
"Such a gentleman." Looking over her shoulder at the boy, she smiled and winked at him.
Shinji just smiled as they watched the chaos in front of them without saying anything. Kensuke was making his own type of scene while several deck hands gave him bemused looks. He loved military equipment after all, they could let him have this.
Toji however was still chasing his hat, until it landed under a dainty foot. Trying to pull it away, he was ignored by the girl holding it down.
Shinji was greeted by the sight of Asuka in a bright red Sundress that hugged her body well. Confident smirk on her face and a hand on one hip, she was the picture of a what he always knew she was. The greatest Eva pilot.
"Well hello there Misato! Been a long time."
Misato smiled as they closed the distance between each other, "My look how you've grown. Sure are tall now."
"Eating healthy and taking good care of myself helps a lot."
"Hey, could you get off my hat. Hey, c'mon."
Looking down as if she didn't already know Shinji's little friend was there, Asuka finally gave him some pity and let the hat go. Sending the boy tumbling away, she shook her head and kept their play going, "Please tell me this pathetic excuse isn't the third child?"
"Pathetic, who are you called pathetic?" Toji locked eyes with the girl, as Kensuke walked over to join them while recording everything, until the wind picked up and blew her dress up. Huh, biker shorts.
Prepared this time, she still felt it necessary to have fun. Walking forward Toji and Kensuke got a hand to the face for their trouble. "The viewing fee, be happy." Turning to Shinji she attempted to do the same while Misato moved away with a sigh.
"Please don't damage the third child." Her call seemed to fall on deaf ears.
Shinji leaned back to dodge the flying hand, grabbing it and pulling her close, "Well that's not very nice, perhaps you need, discipline." Whispering in her ear he let her push him away. That his friends were looking at him with awe only made the fun more worth it.
"Huh, seems the third is made of sterner stuff after all. Better be if you're gonna try and usurp me as the best Eva pilot." Fighting down her blush, Asuka raved that Rei had him all to herself so far. She wasn't as bad as the albino, but damnit, she wanted her Shinji time too.
Toji and Kensuke were openly praying now, "Teach us your ways Steel Shinji!"
Shaking her head and gathering up all of the kids, they making their way to the main deck after some direction. A short elevator ride later and they're on the bridge were Misato is attempting to give the Admiral paperwork with a smile.
"For the transfer Admiral, Nerv appreciates the Pacific Fleet's assistance with this."
The Admiral grumbled. Having to put up with having their fleet turned into an escort for this giant toy, it was degrading. "I'll sign that paperwork once we hit port and not a second before. The ocean is still out domain."
Misato sighed, "Respectfully, if there is an Angel attack, that's our jurisdiction. Not yours."
"We have the full might of the Pacific here, no Angel is a threat to us."
"Angel's have survived literal N2 mines to the face, Admiral."
"We shall see, why don't you take your kiddy escort somewhere else while us actual professionals get to work." Turning away from the Nerv captain, he missed her giving him the finger.
A cough from behind them and Misato turned to see a face she wasn't expecting, "Kaji?"
"Yo, been a while."
Groaning, she ushered the kids out and back towards the elevator, leaving the paperwork with the second in command. This was not how she wanted any of this to go. This was supposed to be fun. "Yup, and it could have stayed that way too."
"Aw, don't tell me you're still mad."
Everyone stuffing into the elevator to reach the lower levels, Misato tried to ignore the man who had shuffled in next to her. "Touch me and die."
Kaji just smirked, "It's a little tight in here." Now if he could just move his hand a little more…
Shinji however was conveniently just next to Misato squeaked out, "Who's hand is that!"
MIsato looked at the scruffy man, "Going after little boys now?"
"No! That wasn't me."
Shinji and Asuka shared a discreet look before the doors opened and they all piled out. Kaji leading the way while Misato berated him, they found the galley after some time and collected food for themselves.
Seated at a table while they chatted, Asuka next to Kaji while across from Shinji who was next to Misato. Toji and Kensuke sat next to each other on the other side of Shinji. Kaji decided teasing was in order.
"So Shinji, you're the third child are you? You're staying with Misato as well?"
"Yup, that's me."
Adopting a thoughtful pose, the man pointed at the kid, "Is she still just as wild in the sack?" The spittake from Misato was glorious. So worth it to rile her up.
Shinji however leaned back with a sigh, "Oh you wouldn't believe. Sometimes she keeps me up for hours with her antics. And I'm up again early in the morning all sweaty and tired. Don't get me started on her laundry. Did she have the little purple set when you knew her? The silk one? It's a bitch to clean by hand." Seeing the awestruck looks again reaching his friend's faces. He was especially proud of the hangdog look on Kaji's face and the blushing mess Misato was turning into. Sometimes the best lies were the ones that were technically true. And technically true was the best way to be true.
"Wa-wa-wa wait a minute. I know the laws have changed, but..MIsato?" Turning to look at the woman slowly, his mood dropped even more as the woman was just shaking her head and covering her face with her hands.
"It's not like that…well. Mostly. Wait that came out wrong! Wait!" Shinji now laughing and his friends literally bowing to him, the woman considered how he worded things. Yes, she liked to party and sometimes kept him up. That was true. But he got himself up early in the morning for workouts, not her! The laundry though, well, maybe she should be doing her own unmentionables. She forgot that she got that racy set recently.
"Misato?" Men did not whine, really, but what was this? This slip of a brat was putting on the charm for his Misato and it was working? He wouldn't have it! No sir, no way.
Shinji just grinned, "Though she is a lot of fun to live with, and I don't want to give her up to anyone, sooo no. You can't move in Kaji." Smirking as Misato began thumping her head on the table, he was spun around as Asuka had made her way out of her seat and around the table. "Oh, hello Asuka."
"You. Me. Talk. Now!" She was dragging him away before he could answer her. Not that she really made complete sentences.
"What just happened?" Kaji was looking from where Asuka had been sitting to his college flame who was still pounding her head on the metal of the table. The boys themselves were still offering prayers to their new god.
"Long live Steel Shinji!"
Down several hallways the pair snuck into an empty room and locking the door behind them, Asuka had pushed Shinji down onto a bunk and was attacking him with her mouth. Making out with abandon, the two lost themselves for a moment as heat built up between them. Hands roaming, Shinji slid his own down her sides and legs before slipping under her dress to appreciate her backside. Asuke moaned in delight and had to restrain herself from ripping open his shirt. Pulling away and adjusting herself on top of him, she was all grins.
"I told you, Kaji is my prey."
"I know, but that doesn't mean I can't have a little fun with him." Shinji's eyes crossed just a little as the girl above him ground into him a tad, "I shall not be distracted by your womanly charms.
Asuka splayed out her hands on his developing chest as she leaned down to him, "Sure about that? Wanna make it a challenge?" She knew she would lose in the end. A happy loss however. Enjoyable even. Repeated.
Caressing the girl, Shinji raised an eyebrow, "We both know how that'll go. So, what's the play?"
Leaning down and kissing him softly, accepting his hands on her with a smile, she tried not to let him distract her in turn, "I swapped out Adam with a fake. They won't notice until much much later." Trailing a pink tongue along his neck, she was happy she chose this dress. He did so love her in red.
"Still wanna take down the angel in one go? No fishing lure Unit 2?"
"And damage mama? No way. Besides, you like being alone with me in a plug suit." One of her dress straps was sliding.
"You aren't wrong. But we don't have a lot of time." Pushing the strap back into place, he reminded himself that they would have time for this later. When they weren't on a floating metal death trap being hunted by a human killing machine.
"Spoil sport. C'mon, let's get to Unit 2 and I can show ya where I kept Adam." Standing and helping him to his feet, she smirked as she watched him adjust his pants. "Problems?"
"You and Rei are going to break me."
"In the most beautiful way possible. Are not storms named after women?" Taking his hand they snuck back into the hallway and were on their way to find transport over to the container ship holding Unit 2.
Shinji grinned as they jogged along, "We could always just toss Kaji into the ocean, I'm sure no one will notice."
"That's to easy. No no, I want him crying by the end." Smiling back at the boy, a smile that made his heart skip a beat, they eventually convinced one of the crew to take them over to Unit 2. Boarding the container ship and wandering around for a bit, they stood before the giant bioweapon laying down in coolant.
"This is the part where you stand on it's head and flash me your panties again." Shinji was happy there was little crew here. No one seemed to want to be around the living machine.
Turning to the boy and punching him lightly in the arm, she paced back and teased down her dress straps, "I can get you a better view, if you're a good boy." Watching his eyes travel over her form, she knew this was going to be a fun timeline one way or another. The ship rocked however with an explosion and she pulled up her dress before revealing anything. "What timing."
Shinji however held up a hand, "Wait, just, you, we have some time, let's finish that thought. Just a few seconds, no biggy right?"
Shaking her head with a smile, she pulled him along towards the stairwell nearby, "C'mon baka, let's get changed and maybe you can take a peek or two." Giggling, the older than she actually looked teen was already shimmying her dress off.
Shinji pulled his backpack off, pulling free the plastic wrapped plugsuit as he began undressing himself. Asuka pouted only a little as she pulled out two red plugsuits. "Yeah not happening." Shinji already had his shirt off and was stuffing it into his backpack.
"But you look so cute in red." Standing now with only her black biker shorts on, she still shook the offered suit at the boy. That she was shaking as well was only to hopefully help her argument.
Looking at her and pausing as indeed it was a good argument, he eventually tore his eyes away and slipped off his pants, "I'm only thinking of one red thing I wanna be inside of right now."
Gasping with mock modesty, Asuka threw the plug suit away and started pulling her own on, "You dirty dog you. How could you want to defile such a young nubile body as mine."
Smirking the boy pulled his own plug suit on, "I was talking about Unit 2."
Scoffing and tossing a plastic bag filled with ice at him, she was satisfied with his grunt, "Of course you choose the mother over the daughter."
"Milf's are hot." Holding up the bag, he raised he eyebrow, "This what I think it is?"
"Yup, toss it in your bag with my dress and let's go." Pressurizing her suit, she was already turning towards the door. Mentally switching to battle mode, she was ready to end this Angel and move on to funner things.
Behind her Shinji did just that, stuffing the frozen embryo of Adam into his bag under his pants and her red sundress. Standing and pressurizing his suit, he ran after her as they climbed over the beast and reached the plug. Stuffing his bag into the plug's external storage, not wanting to think about just what might happen if that thing was inside with them, they jumped inside and Asuka started the initialization sequence.
"German this time?"
"And have everyone paying attention wonder how it doesn't freak out about you being here? Smart." Starting up in japanese, the lights and flashes of the plug walls eventually evened out into a view of the ship below them. Radio on, she keyed for the carrier, "This is Unit 2! Where's the Angel!"
Misato's voice could be heard, though she was struggling with someone, "Right on time Asuka! Get to the carrier! You need the power plug!"
"I did not authorize that toy to start up! Stay away! St-" The line cut off.
The pair grinning and grabbing the controls together, Asuke wiggled her hips in the boy's lap, "Unit 2, lifting off!"
"Something's lifting off." Shinji muttered but added his thoughts to her own, willing the machine to move. Feeling warmth suffuse him, he relaxed and let Asuka have full control. Jumping away from the container ship while the tarp got caught around them, they just missed the Angel scything through the transport. Ship split in twine and sinking, they played hopscotch with the fleet before landing on the carrier's deck. Ship listing heavily, more than a dozen planes were sent overboard.
"Got it!" Plug found and installed, they turned their attention to the Angel as their power reading stopped it's countdown once it switched to external power. Ripping the tarp away and opening her left pylon, she removed her prog knife. "So. Where is it?" Off to their right, three ships exploded in quick succession.
"It's coming around Asuka and Shinji, get ready!" Looking down, they saw a jet hurtled away from the carrier via a launch catapult. "The hell?"
"Sorry Katsuragi, but I have other orders! You can take care of Asuka from here right?" Kaji's voice coming over the radio, she growled out low and called up Asuka again.
"Asuke you shoot that plane down right now!"
"Are you mad woman! Give me that Radio!" The Admiral was still fighting for control. Losing, but still fighting.
Asuke and Shinji however were focused on the Angel coming right for them, repositioning Unit 2's feet off of the loading elevator. "Here fishy fishy!" Grin feral as the sixth Angel jumped from the sea, size dwarfing the carrier, the Evangelion held it's upper and lower jaw open as they slammed it into the deck. One foot on it's lower jaw while a hand held the upper, they drove the prog knife through it's jaw and into the deck. "Hooked and ready!"
Misato however was noticing the weight was pulling them down, "Hurry it up, that's way more weight than the ship can support I think."
"Got it!" Leaning forward and willing the javelin launcher in her right pylon to prime, both pilots focused intently on the core at the back of the angel's mouth. "Target sighted!" Gripping the controls and pulling the trigger, two volleys of a half dozen javelins launched forward. All pierced the core true, and the angel went limp. "And score one for Unit 2!"
Shinji relaxed back with a smile, "I'm here too ya know."
"Hush, let me have my moment." Willing her biomecha to stand and remove her anchoring knife, they kicked the angel off the deck and into the water below. They had to adjust their balance a bit as the ship rose and fell, rocking back and forth with the lost weight until everything evened out.
Misato cheered, "Good going to two! Now uh, you're going to have to hang out in there till we get to shore."
Asuke grinned, happy that at the moment there were no camera's pointed at them, "No worries, we're fine." Wiggling her hips again and bringing the Eva into a low power mode, she turned shining eyes toward Shinji as the view from outside faded away. Radio switched off, her voice lowered, "Everything is just, fine."
Shinji wrapped arms around the girl, "A few hours alone is just what the doctor ordered huh?"
"Rei has had you all to herself for weeks. I deserve some heavy petting and kisses to make up for it."
"Yes ma'am."

Nothing clever here. Just having fun with a full day with nothing to do.
