Lyra looked around the courtyard, she was trying to figure out how she had ended up here. How had she ended up fighting in a war at seventeen, how had she lost so many people. She looked over to where Voldemort lay, dead across from her. This should have never been her job. She was a child fighting in an adult's war. This wasn't how her life was supposed to be. Now, Lyra was standing alone with the body of the monster who had destroyed her life. She was finally free of him and the terror he reigned over the wizarding world.

Lyra turned to walk to the Great Hall, she needed to see who all survived. She couldn't get the sight of Remus, Tonks, Fred, Lavender, Colin, and so many more dead on the floor, out of her head. Her poor godson was now an orphan, just like she was. That was no way for a child to live, luckily, he still had her and Andromeda. Lyra would make sure her Teddy Bear would have the life she should have. She would make sure he had love and support, he would never question if he was loved. She would make sure he knew how much his parents loved him and how amazing they were.

The sight of everyone in the hall made her hearing go fuzzy. So many young and old lives lost. So many people died for reasons that should have never been an issue. Poor George looked like he was lost. The Patil twins look at Lavender sadly. So many young people's lives have been ripped apart. Ron and Hermione were standing next to her. Lyra couldn't hear them; she was watching the horror that played out in front of her. Why did it have to be this way. She needed to go to Andromeda, someone had to tell her that her daughter and son in law were dead. Lyra didn't want to be that person, but she knew that it had to be her.

When her hearing finally comes back, Lyra hears Hermione trying to get her attention. She looks to her and Ron. What a sight she must be, covered in blood, dust, and who knows what else. Her dead eyes looking at them, why were they here? What more could people want from her, she had given everything.

"Lyra, did you hear what we said," Hermione asks, "You should be helping us gather people to bring into the hall" Lyra just stared. Why should she help, she had literally died an hour ago. She didn't want to do anything.

Finally Lyra answered, "No, I didn't" Hermione let's out a huff, she's annoyed.

Ron decides to add himself into this, "We need to help them bring people in, they need every hand available. Let's go mate"

Lyra ignores what he said, "I need to go see Andromeda, I need to be with her and Teddy" of course they both throw a fit at this. Lyra doesn't even notice. She's numb.

"Well, when we finish here, Ron and I are going to find my parents in Australia. It will probably take a couple of weeks so you will have to be here to help rebuild. We can't have the whole golden trio missing" Hermione tells her. Lyra ignores her and walks off.

Lyra had only been to Andromedas house one time. The day Teddy was born, Remus asked her to come over because they needed to talk to her. She thought he was crazy, he had been helping them decide how to deal with the goblins for the horcrux in Bellatrix vault, so it wasn't like she hadn't seen him three times this week already. Lyra couldn't think of that day right now. Everyone was so happy and now she had to tell Andromeda.

Lyra knocked on the door and waited, Andromeda answered the door and must have been able to tell by the look on her face. "NO!" was all that came out before Andromeda collapsed.

Lyra rushed to catch her, "I'm so so sorry Andromeda. I didn't even know Dora was coming, she wasn't supposed to" The two women sat there on the living room floor and cried together until a cry from Teddy came from upstairs. Lyra moved Andromeda to the couch, "I'll get him" she tells her and heads for the nursery.

Lyra opened the door and looked into the room, Teddy was laying in the crib. Little sniffles were coming out of him. She had to take a deep breath before she walked over to him. Looking down at the little metamorphagus, Lyra tried to smile at him. "Hello sweet boy, I'm so sorry" she chokes out as she picks him up to cuddle, trying not to let her tears fall on him. "Let's go see grandma and cuddle her" she told him.

Lyra knew Andromeda was still on the couch, so she headed to her. Heading down the stairs she made it to the middle of the staircase when the door blew open. Lyra protected Teddy from the debris that flew their way. She couldn't figure out what was happening.

Andromeda screamed at her, "Lyra, run!". Lyra could see her battling with whoever was down there, she didn't want to leave Andromeda alone, but she had to protect Teddy. When the dreaded words were said, followed by the green light, Lyra had to hold back a scream as she pulled her godson closer to her chest and apparated.

Landing on the steps on Gringotts, Lyra ran inside with Teddy still clutched tightly in her arms. She slid down to the floor repeating, "No, No, No, No". She knew the goblins were watching her, but she just couldn't wrap her head around what had just happened. How did they find Andromeda, she had a secret keeper. Lyra knew then, Remus was the secret keeper. Oh god.

The goblins watched as the blood covered witch came into their bank. They took note of the child she had clutched in her arms. They knew who she was, they were still mad that she had outsmarted them with the horcrux, but she was still a vault holder so they couldn't turn her away. They had declared themselves neutral in the war but were really hoping this witch would win, they knew they would be next on Voldemort's list.

Lyra didn't notice as a goblin approached her. When he spoke, she pulled Teddy closer. "Witch, why have you stumbled into our bank in this state" the goblin asked, looking at her state of dress.

Lyra couldn't get her brain to work, she could only get out "Death Eaters" and that was in a whisper. She looked to the goblin and asked, "What do I do" he looked shocked that she had asked him.

The goblin knew something bad must have happened for this witch to be acting like this. Word has spread that she killed Voldemort hours ago, but this wasn't from that. Thinking of how to handle this, he knew he finally had an opening for what should have been taken care of years ago. Looking over the blood covered witch, he knew he would have to act now before people came for her.

"Miss Potter, perhaps we should go to my office. You are exposed in the lobby and I feel that you don't want that" When Lyra nodded and stood, the goblin began walking and she followed. "Maybe you can explain how you and the child ended up here, in more detail" Lyra took a breath to calm herself and told him what had happened.

"I need to contact someone, who do I contact though" Lyra was talking to herself, trying to get her mind right she finally realized who. "Master goblin may I please send a Patronus to Kingsley Shakelbolt" she knew better than to draw her wand without permission. Gaining permission, she sends it and tells him what happened. She didn't tell him where she was, the goblin noticed that.

Guiding her into his office, the goblin showed her to where she could sit with the child. He then brought up a question he had been wondering about for years. "Miss Potter, why have you never come to us to collect your Ladyships?" he could see the look of confusion on her face. Not good.

"Master goblin, not to be rude but what does that have to do with this situation" Lyra tries to keep calm but she was having trouble.

"Miss Potter, do you realize that you are the Lady to two or more houses. Your mother and father were Lord and Lady Potter, your godfather should have been Lord Black. It would have saved him a lot of problems if he had claimed the Lordship" Lyra was shocked, what was he saying, "If you allow us to do a blood inheritance test, we could give you your Ladyships and then you can better protect yourself and your godson. You have properties and gold Miss Potter, those can both help you with this" the goblin says, nodding to Teddy.

Lyra was really confused, how could being a Lady help her right now? She knew she couldn't trust the ministry until they were cleaned out. Protecting Teddy was her only priority right now, if this could help her in any way, she would do it. Damn the goblin for making sense.

"Okay, so if I do the blood inheritance, I can protect Teddy right" she asks the goblin. He nods and then explains the ritual to her. When she cuts her hand to fill the bowl with blood, the goblin makes sure she has given enough. He then takes the blood and does a ritual, words start appearing on the paper.

The goblin watches as the scroll continues to lengthen. When it finishes, he takes a look through it for which rings he needs to collect, when he reaches the end, his eyes are wide. "You are one very interesting witch Miss Potter" he tells her as he hands her the scroll. "You may read through this while I fetch your rings and documents" he leaves her alone to read.

Lyra begins to read through it and her own eyes are wide by the end. Holy shit! She was lady to five families and loaded. She had so many properties to hide out in, she found one for her and Teddy for tonight. The last family on the paper really threw her, she honestly never thought she would be a part of that family. The goblins catch her attention when they walk back in.

"Could you ward a place for us, I need somewhere to go tonight" she asks. The goblins ask which property and then head off. Only one remains.

"Miss Potter, these are the rings for all five of the families. The Peverell ring isn't the original, that one has been lost for centuries. You may begin with the Potter ring, then Black, the others don't have an order. Place them on your right hand first then left. They will shrink to fit"

Lyra nods then she adjusts Teddy to begin. Starting with the Potter family ring, she placed it on and felt a warm, loving magic flow through her. The Black family ring was a cold magic, she was still accepted but it was of a darker nature. The Sayre and Emrys family rings felt like a very old magic waking up after being asleep for centuries. The Peverell family ring wasn't much different than how she felt with her cloak or the resurrection stone. When she finished, she look to the goblin in front of her.

"Lady Potter Black, I have your parents and godfathers' wills if you would like to read them." she nodded and he handed them over, "I'll let you have some time and check on your property you asked for"

Lyra braced herself to read her parents and Siri's last words. Starting with her parents, she was pissed right off. She was never to have been place with the Dursleys. Sirius' will even said she was to be emancipated and not to go back to that hell. Why had Dumbledore not followed their wishes. He was the witness for her parents! Lyra noticed that a remark was made in both wills that said she was blood adopted by Sirius. Her parents had approved it for more protection, why hadn't Dumbledore showed the Ministry this! Lyra started to think then, if the old bastard knew all of this what else had he done. She needed to audit her vaults. She knew she never got to keep her vault key so what if he was stealing.

Lyra called the goblin back in, she asked him to audit all of her vaults. She also asked how to do a blood adoption. She was the only person Teddy had and she would make sure he was protected. Luckily the goblins seemed extra helpful today. When the goblin headed out to get her portkey to the safe house, he came back with the blood adoption potion.

"Lady Potter Black, this is the portkey for you" the goblin handed her an old cup, "The wards are sound around the property. I will send the audit results when finished but do not hesitate to contact us if you need" he told her.

Lyra holds Teddy close again, after she thanked the goblins for everything she grabbed the old cup and was gone.
